Opiniones de Planet Marfa Marfa
The most unique and eclectic experience. Strong, handmade margaritas! Not a premix. I didn’t eat, but this place is definitely one of a kind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite bars in the world. Almost totally outdoors, but intimate, varied seating options surrounding the central circular bar. Great tunes and sound system. Good vibes, staff and clientele. Nicholas and Anissa’s bomb-tastic fried chx sando popup last month or so on Wednesday’s sometimes Thursday’s too. Love this place. Plus an old school bus and full size teepee with bunker. No need to enjoy some drinks anywhere else.
Planetary fun! Planet Marfa is everything a local spot should be. Full of Marfa characters, lively music, really good pizza & drinks , crazy fun ambience. Reminds me of the great Austin beer garden of days gone by. This is a rare gem. A must for any visit to Marfa.
We always stop here each time we visit the area. It's a very cool outdoor bar with plenty of shade and a full bar. Drinks are always great. They offer food, we just haven't ordered yet, but it looks good.
This place makes me feel like I'm back at Burning Man, with it's open desert air, and unexpected structures and experiences. I once sat here, had a beer, and heard three different languages being spoken all at once. Another time, surprise karaoke happened. This is a dog friendly place, and there are even hitching posts that can help facilitate that if you're not one to go offleash, or you can put your backpack there. I've only had food here once, but the man in the kitchen had the glow of someone who had found their calling in life, and perhaps he had, because the soup he'd come up with to pair with the sandwich was off the charts. I don't know if that's a typical experience there, or if I was just lucky. I like this place a lot.
Absolutely **MARFA-LOUS!** This place has a certain magic about it, and is a big watering hole for the locals, many of whom we got to talk and laugh with- the bartenders are equally as fun and engaging (Christina, David, Astra, etc)! It has the feel of a small Mexican square and while we were only there during the week, we hope to be back on a weekend to experience live music and a larger gathering of people bringing more Marfa energy. The food is great- the hot dogs and pizzas we had were top-notch. Will definitely be back!!
We got there about 1.5 hours before sunset on a Friday. The Marfa Twilight time was just starting to put on it's show! The staff were sweet. The bartender complimented on my Ministry tshirt! Xtra points right there! The DJ's were fun and we thought the 1st 2 were sic and creative. The 3rd was "meh". The cheap pizza was good, but a little under baked. The tequila, whiskey, and beer choices are varied and not boring. I tried Corralejo tequila for the 1st time. Now a fan! The atmosphere is funky and chill. Beautiful lights, beautiful skies. As a virtually outdoor venue, it invites one to enjoy live music while sitting under the West Texas stars.
Had a blast here! We came by at night to grab a bite to eat and visit the bar. The food was pretty good for a bar and the vibe was so nice. Loved the teepee and the seating areas. While we came to eat, they had a karaoke event going on and we loved it. Very nice people and locals. Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Marfa.
Of all the places I visited in town, Planet Marfa is the most aptly named and seemed to represent the flavor of the town in the most radiant and realistic light. There was Tejano music blaring as locals danced to the positive vibes, like a sonic expression of the smiley happiness that fans of Tejano appreciate. There was a dog sitting at the bar, like he'd been there more than once as regular. A beautiful and moody artist bartender zipped around, performing her hospitable magic, and scores of diverse thespians milled about, playing parlor games and getting wasted. God bless Planet Marfa 🙏
Could probably be a fun place. It's quirky, but Sunday afternoon it was completely dead and my bourbon was served in a dirty glass. I still drank it, I wasn't wasting that bulleit rye. Probably not our thing, but the food menu looked really good. And they were playing good alternative music.
finally had the chance to check out this place, and the atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal—definitely exceeded my expectations. However, the experience was dampened by a few issues. The food was okay, but there were a flies and I mean flies, likely due to the heat and the food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. What really bothered me was the service at the bar. The bartender was smoking a cigarette while preparing drinks, which was not only gross but unprofessional. On top of that, she made me close out my tab after just two drinks instead of letting me keep it open. I didn't understand why she couldn't simply start a tab for me. Despite these issues, I would consider going back because of the amazing atmosphere, but I hope they bring in a more professional bartender who doesn’t smoke at the bar.
Visited this restaurant because it looks cool, also because at the time I was driving by marfa most restaurants were already closed, well service at the bar is good. But kitchen staff not friendly at all, I went to pick up my order with the remote they give you to know the food is ready making a noise the kitchen girl just snatched it from my hand like if she was mad. Ordered two pizzas and one of them was burnt, both pizzas tasted like boxed pizza from a discount store. They play good music and decoration is cool.
I am traveling across the country on a motorcycle from Toronto Canada to Mexico city. Had a friend that lived in marfa and told me about this place and I also saw it online. Was so excited to check it out and meet all the "friendly cool people". Absolutely did not happen. It is 7:02 right now on Friday and I just walked out. It was absolutely not busy but I could not get a drink. Stood at the bar patiently occasionally looking at the blond bartender but nothing. Hello. Nope! I will be right with you. No! Sorry, I am so weeded but I got you covered in a minute. Nope! Never been here before so no reason she would not like me unless....lol I cannot say why she ignored me and I am hard to ignore but her friends she be concerned because she is definitely not happy with her life. Wish her a good life. The owners and managers need to be more aware.
