Corona Cafe is a popular choice for travelers at Miami International Airport, especially during layovers. Customers rave about the fast and friendly service, with servers like Elijah, Ashley, Giovanny, and Hiram frequently mentioned. The chorizo queso and chicken sandwiches are highly recommended.
Tip: Located around gate D23, it's a great spot for a quick and tasty meal during a layover. Be mindful of potential delays if you have a very short layover.
Hiram did an excellent job. Suggested great drinks and food and provided fast service with a fantastic attitude. The chips and salsa were delicious. Great stop before flying.
I had a 6 hour stopover at Miami International Airport as I was travelling from Mexico City to Buenos Aires, Argentina. After stretching my legs and walking about 5km around the airport, it was time to eat. There are plenty of places to eat at Miami International Airport and after half an hour, I decided to dine in at the Corona Beach House. I ordered a serve of chips, tacos and their signature Margarona! The staff were friendly and polite so overall a wonderful experience!
We had lunch and a drinks before our flight and Hiram was amazing. I appreciate his drink recommendations and kindness. The next time that we are in Miami we will return.
I had an amazing time and an amazing meal at Corona Beach House in Miami Airport. The food was delicious, but what really made this place special was the people. Evan, Mildrey, and all the other staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. You could truly feel the warmth and care in their service. Honestly, the food tasted even better because it felt like it was made with love, haha. Thanks to them, this airport experience became something memorable. I will not forget Miami Airport because of you. Highly recommended if you’re passing through!
Our wonderful server, Hiram, greeted all five of us with a smile and we sat down immediately. He read us the specials and delivered me a delicious margarita. Everyone enjoyed their food, but I personally need to talk about my order - the mushroom Swiss burger with pickles and bacon. It was cooked perfectly and tasted so good.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-Visit at Miami Airport! Had a long layover at the Miami Airport and decided to stop by Corona Beach House and wow, what a great choice! We ordered the chorizo queso and chicken sandwiches, and both were incredible. The chorizo queso, in particular, was hands-down the best I’ve ever had in my life… so good that we actually ordered another one to go and packed it in our backpack for the flight! A huge shout-out to Joanna, our amazing server, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She even checked on our flight time to ensure we wouldn’t miss our connection. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made our experience exceptional. If you ever find yourself traveling through Miami International Airport, Corona Beach House is an absolute must-stop. They even have an express area designed to accommodate travelers on the go. Don’t miss it — and be sure to ask for Joanna!
Airport food can bye hit or miss but this place is a hot. Super awesome atmosphere and amazing staff. Our bartender, server and cocktail blender extraordinaire Giovanni was kind, funny and super attentive. MIA layovers done right.
Hiram was our service person today ! His service was to tier- very friendly and helpful (and handsome). Our food was fresh, well flavored and came quickly. Perfect for our stop between flights.
I had the longest travel day, but I just had to take a moment and give my highest complements to my server and bartender, Giovanny levya, as he completely flipped my cranky attitude at 9pm. Before I even sat down, he was so pleasant and already asking my drink order. My glass was in my hand no more than 1 minute later. He was very patient with my several questions and still at the most upbeat demeanor. That set the phenomenal tone for the rest of my dining experience, which I continued to enjoy to the fullest. I simply had to give credit where it’s due and give him the praise that he deserves recognition for! -a tired travel gal
We had such a wonderful time here at the Corona beach house. located around gate d23, especially after leaving a bar and grill in the miami Airport a few gates down at d17. Please come while waiting on your layover flight! Drinks where nice and strong, food was amazing and customer service was top tier!!
Last layover on a very long trip. The meal was excellent and Giovanni brought it with fantastic customer service! Great port in the travel storm! P.s. Try the mole Chicken!
Food was tasty and fresh, great option for airport meal. Had the queso with chorizo and the fried chicken sandwich. Both had good flavor and the fries were yummy too. Overall good choice and would recommend if you have time. Service was fast and friendly.

Hiram knew what he was talking about. Best smashed burger and delicious cocktails. So happy we stopped to eat here before boarding. Definitely a repeat!!
Hiram! He’s the best! Sat me down and suggested the best margarita I’ve had in a while. At first I asked him if there was a better bar down by my gate and he gave recommendations but he said it’s none of those places are like this. So I said why not? I’m two margaritas in and will definitely be back to this place when I’m in MIA. I didn’t eat food here but the food smelled amazing. They had the games playing. Glad they changed my check point and ended up here.
Elijah was an amazing, def my go to place moving forward. I barely finished asking which taco to pick and he suggested the shrimp taco and boy did it not disappoint! Probably the best shrimp tacos I have ever had. I asked which dessert he would recommend and he suggested to change it up and get the pineapple cake with ice cream on top. Oh man, best combo on warm and cold with the pineapple flavour to top it off. 10/10 everything and Elijah made it 11/10.
The shrimp tacos are amazing! And Hiram provided excellent service to my party of 7. If you’re ever in MIA, please stop by Corona Beach House. You won’t be disappointed. 10/10, highly recommend. The only thing worth noting is the ceviche, while very tasty, is not like a traditional ceviche. The contents are not diced, but sliced largely so it’s harder to dip on the chips. Otherwise, it’s full of flavor!
I was pleasantly surprised! I had no idea airport food could be this good! I had the jerk flavored chicken and sweet plantains which were perfect! My old fashioned was amazing too!
Hiram was exceptionally generous, kind and explained the menu in great detail, even offered us THE BEST OLD FASHION in miami!! Ask for him!!
I fly out of Miami two to three times a week for business, and Corona Beach Restaurant used to be one of my favorite spots — great food, great vibe. Unfortunately, after their recent menu change, the quality has gone downhill. The chicken was overly salty and undercooked, and the burger was a mess. Charging an extra $5 just to add lettuce and tomatoes is unreasonable. I understand prices and costs have gone up, but this new menu feels out of touch with travelers who expect both quality and value. Miami is a unique market — food here should be both enjoyable and affordable. Sadly, Corona, you’ve lost me as a loyal customer. Very disappointing.
Hiram greeted us right away, helped us get situated and seated at our table w some friends, suggested some drinks to try and has been very attentive to our table.
Server was very friendly amd knowledgeable of the menu. The smashburger tasted great. Prices were a little high, but expected for being in an airport.
Freddy was our server great costumer service. Food was delivered as ordered. It has been a long time since we get good service like Freddy’s in miami airport.
⭐ 1 star (Updated Review) I used to love this restaurant and had given it a five-star review before the renovation. The food was always delicious, even simple dishes like tilapia, which they seasoned perfectly. However, after the recent remodel and the new menu, my experience has drastically changed. I visited again on October 21, 2025, and ordered the Caesar salad. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. It contained nothing but lettuce and a peculiar pico de gallo sauce that clashed with the flavor rather than complementing it. There was no cheese, croutons, or any other typical Caesar salad components, and the chicken was of very poor quality, almost like cardboard. Feel sorry for passengers that stop and eat there because they don’t know how bad it is.
Geo Leyva was a fantastic bartender. All of the workers were hustling and did a great job servicing quickly and efficiently. Definitely a great stop in MIA
Food and service is amazing! What a great first meal back in the U.S. after traveling! Thanks Hiram and keep up the great work!
Hiram is a huge asset to your company! Great personality and sells!!! Makes your establishment more money while doing it in a friendly, fun experience!
Reliable. But understand that details. Great alternative if you don’t have time for the Centurion Lounge. 1) They aren’t quick. Even at a dead time, expect to wait a minimum 20-25 min for your food. Even at 6am for breakfast. It will never be quick. But if you budget your time accordingly, it’s reliable. 2) It doesn’t always fill up. But sometimes, rarely, it does. 3) As of July 2023, Priority Pass is $30 per person, inclusive of tip. I’m typically by myself and below $30. I will throw an extra $5 down if the waiter was helpful. I will also add on bottled waters if I’m well below the $30 to get that tip up. 4) Priority Pass is dine in only. It’s the priority pass rules, not the restaurant. If you’re nice to them, they will accommodate you if you’re in a rush. But again, it’s not quick. So if you’re running late, this isn’t your joint. 5) The food will feed you. You will be full. But you will not be craving the meal at any time in the future. Overall I give it 5 stars. However, the first few times I went, I was not happy— for the reasons mentioned above. But eventually you can refer to the Corona Beach House as Old Faithful.
Only had drinks. Giovanny was so nice, he was on his way to restroom but stop before leaving to serve my drink and ensured I was taken care of. He put me first as a traveling customer. Thanks Giovani
This resturant is really affordable and the food is soo delicious. I’m a regular at this resturant and I must say Francesca and Carlos are by far My favorite servers. They both are soo very sweet and attentive! I come in and they already know what I want to eat. I truly appreciate their services soo much that I only dine in whenever they are on duty. I just wanted to give them both a special shout out because they both always leave a lasting impression with every visit.
I usually don’t do too well with flights but being here at this restaurant was a very nice experience because Hiram told me to get the smash burger and I was impressed with how good and tasty it was and combined that with Hiram being very friendly and attentive and I had an awesome lunch before my flight 🙏🏻👏. Definitely try and get Hiram if you come by Corona Beach House in Miami international airport.
Hiram was amazing! His recommendations were fantastic and the food and beverage came out amazingly fast considering the restaurant was very busy! Best airport restaurant I’ve eaten at! Thank you Hiram for the amazing experience.
Hiram was a fantastic server. His Mahi recommendation was a home run. I will definitely come back to eat here again.
Wow just wow, who would have thought one of our best dining experiences of our vacation was at the airport restaurant on our return. Jennifer R - gave the best customer service I have had for a long time. She was so efficient and productive while maintaining all necessary contact. The food was great but the service was just outstanding. If you are at MIA airport give Jennifer R and this place a try.
Haram was so welcoming and I find it rare to have a great server in an airport these days! He recommended the smash burger and guac, and both were great. Food was fast too!
I typically stop by Corona Beach House whenever I fly out of MIA, and I have always had a positive experience! The food and drinks are reliably tasty and well prepared. I’ve had at least two meals with Hiram as my server and he offers excellent, fast service. Priority pass brought me in, but the service and quality food and margaritas keep me coming back. Great place for a quick bite if you are in a hurry, or a longer meal and place to wait for a flight if you have plenty of time. Thank you
Hiram was awesome! Great recommendation on drinks and even turned down the Minnesota Wild game for us!
Hiram was my server and he did a great job. I had the shrimp tacos, guacamole starter, and margarita. They were all great! I needed a good place to recharge between flights. Highly recommend.
Hiram was such a warm personality with great energy and attention . Great overall atmosphere of staff and space. We will definitely return! Oko
Hiring has been excellent with customer service skills, recommending a main course & side dishes. Which were both delicious. I will definitely be coming back to the Corona Beach house in the near future.
Giovany was awesome! Food came out so fast! I wasn't rushed at all, G let me take my time and relax. Thankful for this spot! Will definitely be back!
Our server, Jennifer Ruiz, was fantastic very helpful, fast, and attentive. Her service was amazing! I highly recommend dining at Corona Beach House. The food is excellent, especially for an airport spot.
It was a long day of travel with a toddler and an infant, and many bags. When we walked up to Corona Beach House, all of the staff were so friendly, inviting, and helpful with getting us seated comfortably. Incredibly accommodating. Our server was Hiram R and he was exceptional! Hiram was so friendly and kind along with being very prompt with food/drink items. The food and coffee were also very good! Highly recommend!
I was welcomed in by the gracious host David. He reviewed the menu with me to look into the best plant based options for. Unfortunately I ate somewhere else, however I returned for drinks because of David’s hospitality. Once I arrived at. The bar I was greeted by Ron and he informed me I would be serviced by Giovanni. Ron was working hard back there to ensure the organization and structure to continue to service customers diligently. Although Giovanni was my server, Ron did a great job with assisting me as well. Now I saved the best for last Giovanni! I spoke to Ron in what I thought was a whisper when I ordered my first drink and he heard me and came right over. Let’s talk about attention to detail. Giovanni definitely had it! Not only was he serving the bar he was also serving the main dining area with great gracious and knowledge of the menu. Be sure to tip these servers well.
Loved every bite! I have celiac and the waitress was very knowledgeable about my gluten free options. She said they had a separate fryer for gluten free items. I had the braised short ribs with a side of Cajun shrimp.so tasty!
Giovany made our dinner so enjoyable with his bubbly personality and attentiveness Food was great! My husband had 1/2 a chicken We had guacamole and fresh chips and I had a side order of cilantro lime rice and added grilled shrimp Drinks of course! If you are at the Miami airport, can’t go wrong here!
I’m not one to stop at airport restaurants (due to price) but this caught my eye and I figured what the heck. What a great hidden gem in the airport! Quick service and personable waiters. Our guy (I forget his name but he had a beard) was super helpful. I had the shrimp tacos and they were delicious! Will definitely stop here again if I have a connection.
I love the atmosphere at this place! Service is always top-notch and fast. Whenever I go, I can't resist ordering their shrimp tacos. They never disappoint – the shrimps are big and the combination of tangy, sweet, and spicy flavors truly captures the essence of Miami.🍤🥳🍹💃 The best part of this restaraunt though is that with my Priority Pass, I can savor these delicious shrimp tacos every time I visit MIA for free. 😋🙏
We enjoyed the food very much. The half chicken with mole was incredible. Great atmosphere. Good vibes, not too loud but not too quiet either. Hiram, our waiter, provided great recommendations, was attentive, and helpful. Over all, a great experience between flights!
Had a great experience at restaurant, my server YanMichael was very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me make excellent food and drink choices. Which made the experience wholesome. I’m looking forward to returning for a great meal and will refer my colleagues to visit whenever in the MIA airport.
Joana and the employees assisting her were FABULOUS although, the manager was VERY unprofessional and was scolding everyone at the bar and surrounding tables in front of customers which was very SAD. I come here all the time and love the food and the atmosphere! The employees are very hard workers and what the manager did was appalling.
Giovany made me the best margarita on the rocks! By far the best I’ve had all week while in Florida/Key West. Very friendly staff here also while waiting 3 hrs to board our flight.
Hiram was an absolutely amazing server! He was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. He recommended drinks for each of us that were really great.
Giovanni aka Johnny was our server who well earned a shoutout. Enthusiastic recommendations, outgoing personality, & highly efficient. Typical airport entry bar atmosphere but all the staff were quite attentive! Bar food menu with so much flair. Giovanni told me the FISH TACOS were FIRE & he wasn’t wrong— so much flavor! My husband enjoyed the chicken fettuccine alfredo & we shared the pork nachos. Great option for a bite between flights!
we arrived in a rush to make our boarding time after a tight connection, and our server, Giovany Leyva was superb in his efforts to get us food QUICKLY and out the door with time to spare. He went above and beyond and the food hit the spot; would definitely recommend!!
Hiriam was a great server. Made delicious recommendations for food and drink. The old fashioned was amazing!
Good food, service so-so. Queso blanco not real cheese. And waiters had to be told again and again to bring silverware, take the order, or bring the check. Note: they don't even give you a check. Just a total to pay on their terminal, knowing you need to rush ouy
Great stop right in front of security. Surprising amount of room luggage Guivany is the absolute best. He was our waiter but still tended bar like a champ. Service was fast and drinks made perfection.
I had an amazing experience! I was looking for some good food as I had to stay in the airport for a while before my flight. Food was quick and easy, Ashley was very helpful and gave me a plentiful of options. The restaurant was very clean and the outside grab area was very well put together. I decided to order the braised beef short rib and oh. my. god. it had to be one of the best short rib dishes i have had in a while!! The overall experience was amazing, if i am back soon in Miami, I will definitely be back. Thanks again Ashley for your help and kindness!!
Hiram Rodriguez was our waiter. He was amazing from beginning to end. He knew the foods we wanted and the drinks we wanted. He was attentive to all of us and my son. It felt really good to be dinning here. The food was also a plus - felt good about the food selections that were recommended. Will definitely stop here again.

Excellent place to have a quick lunch or drinks while waiting at the Miami Int'l Arprt. Burger and pork tacos we're delish. Elijah was great! Recommended.
This place has increased prices by a lot, so buyer beware. Our Priority Pass allows a $30 allowance per person here, so it's convenient for a quick meal before a flight. However, the prices have increased significantly where that $30 will not cover a breakfast, coffee, tax and mandatory 18% gratuity. Most breakfast dishes are $20-$27 and you don't get a lot, not even coffee. You can't even do a light breakfast of sides. A side of 4 pieces of bacon has gone from $4 to $8. So buyer beware. You can still use that $30 allowance, just be careful what you order. Or make the walk to one of the Turkish Lounges.
Well… if you’ve got an hour or less for a layover, you might want to skip this place. Speed is definitely not their priority. I ordered a smash burger with fries and it took nearly 40 minutes to come out. I’d understand if the place was packed, but it wasn’t — and that’s actually why I chose it. I will say the staff was friendly, but they spent a bit too much time joking around with each other, which may explain the slow service. The food itself was good, so I’d recommend this spot only if you have a long layover and plenty of time to kill. But if you’re even a little tight on time, definitely move on.
Service, service, service...was awesome! Our server was fast, attentive and helpful. The food was good too. We both got burgers which had good flavor and crisp fries. It's a good choice in this area of the terminal.
If you are flying out of Terminal D, Gate 23, Corona Beach Restaurant has you cover with any to go order to board with you during your next flight. 🌮🍻 I tried the shrimp tacos, crispy, crunchy, fresh, and loaded with a smooth chipotle spread plus plenty of guac. It’s one of their most popular dishes, and chef selection, so if you are on a hurry, don’t over think it and go with this option. Big thanks to Harold for the quick service and for being super kind with the extra guac. They’ve also got a full bar on site, so you can grab your favorite beer or cocktail while you wait for your flight. The vibe is casual, the food delivers, and the location is as convenient as it gets if you’re flying American out of this terminal. The perfect to go spot if you are hungry and rushing into your american flight ✈️

The food was very good — definitely better than most airport restaurants. I especially want to recognize David, the maître d’, who was friendly, personable, and checked on us several times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. His attentiveness really elevated the experience. My meal wasn’t hot when it arrived, but I was willing to overlook that because of the excellent service from David. Our waitress, MC (Maricia Carmen), provided the basics but didn’t seem very engaging or eager to answer additional menu questions. Overall, the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, largely thanks to David’s warm and attentive approach.

breakfast was really good, and service was actually superb. Food was delivered quickly and prepared perfectly. Highly recommended!
As far as airport restaurants go this place is pretty good. I fly a lot and have eaten at quite a few airport restaurants and I could definitely say they have great customer service. There was literally no wait time and the server was very accommodating as we had bags with us and was worried that they would be in the way but she put us somewhere where we wouldn't be in anyone's way. The food is pretty good my husband ordered their burger which was excellent The wings were just okay and we also had nachos but I don't think I have a picture of that one. Our kids had chosen to eat else where but let's be honest kids always want fast food like McDonald's and not quality food like chicken wings. The drinks for good as well and everything was reasonably priced so I definitely recommend coming here for a quick bite especially if you're flying to Tallahassee as is right beside the gate.

burgers were totally overcooked. They shouldn’t offer medium when over done is the result. Wine and beer as expected. Good service
This is one of the few restaurants that still accept priority pass, and it's good because I would never go otherwise. Food is very meh, and I almost laughed how bad it was served. Obviously the "chef" just chuckled everything on the tray and sent it out. Service is crap as well because they know they have a captive audience and automatic 18% tip - definitely not worth adding anything more.
I came to this restaurant by myself and left completely disappointed. From the start, the service set a bad tone. I sat at a table for two and placed my backpack on the empty chair; the first thing I was told was that I couldn’t do that because they needed the chair in case another table required it. Not a great welcome. After that, the waitress walked away and took a while to bring the menu, with an attitude that felt a bit rude. I ordered a burger, but the menu itself wasn’t very convincing. While I was eating, I felt rushed: the waitress came by several times asking if I was done when I clearly wasn’t. Before I even finished my meal, she placed the check on the table. To make it worse, the bill already included an 18% “suggested” gratuity, almost as if there was no option to change it, and on top of that they left an extra line for additional tip. It felt uncomfortable, especially considering the service. The restaurant was also very overcrowded, with tables extremely close to each other, which didn’t help the experience. Food: 5/10 Service: 3/10 Atmosphere: 5/10 Summary: Food was acceptable, but the service was poor and made the entire experience unpleasant. Feeling rushed, the lack of warmth, and the way gratuity is handled left a bad impression. Not a place I would return to or recommend.
I ordered the salmon with salad and broccoli, it was very bland and lacked effort. I do not recommend it unless you have a very restrictive diet. Our waiter Freddy was nice but unhelpful and oversold how good the dish was. The automatic 18% gratuity did not make me feel any better about the whole experience.
I ordered a shrimp taco, and the food was delicious. However, the service was incredibly strange and uncomfortable. At the beginning, the waiter nearly shouted at me from behind to suggest I move to a smaller table since I was dining alone. I had no issue with the move itself, but the way he spoke was abrupt and lacked courtesy. Later, before I had even ordered, he patted me on the shoulder, which made me very uncomfortable. I don’t think it’s appropriate for a male waiter to touch a female customer under any circumstances. Then, I asked for water with no ice, but instead of serving tap water, he brought me a $4 bottled water without asking. On top of all this, there was an 18% mandatory tip added to the bill, with an additional option to leave more gratuity. With such poor service, this felt completely unjustified.

Title says it all. We ordered breakfast for three and every single person had multiple hairs in their food. Really repulsive. Never eat here again
Horrible experience. I have requested a pasta dinner to be modified for a kids only pasta with butter and they charged me 20$ I got the portion size like for a 6 months old baby. Completely dishonest. After complaining politely to the manager he said it was OK, as this for cost control!!!

Manager cursed at customer and offered to fight lol!! I was at the airport having breakfast at Coronita Beach House on 10/19/25 around 9:30am. Mike, the manager, was wrapping silverware outside the bar next to a customer who was drinking what looked like a Bloody Mary. Apparently Mike moved the customer’s drink a little closer to them, probably because it was in his way I assume. The customer didn’t like that and said something, but I couldn’t hear exactly what. Right after that, Mike raised his voice and started arguing and cursing back, even telling the customer they could “go outside” to settle it 😱 I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years, including in food and beverage, and I’ve never seen a manager act like that. Instead of trying to calm the situation, he escalated it fast and kept cursing back and forth until he went to the back and then came back saying the customer would be escorted out. If this is how the manager handles conflict, it’s not a good look for Coronita Beach House. A manager’s job is to de-escalate and make sure everyone feels comfortable, not start or escalate any matter to an argument. The whole situation made the area tense and uncomfortable for the other customers. The customer ended up laughing, cursing back, and leaving. After he left i waited a few minutes and asked the manager his name. Mike is not well. The lady who was my bartender was excellent!
Horrible service. Server was rude and rolled his eyes whenever we asked him for anything. Waited for a very long time for our food to come out when the people next to us were seated and served almost immediately. The food was way overpriced. We ordered three tacos and got the tiniest little bit of meat for each of the tacos that we had to assemble ourselves. $26 for 3 street tacos. Then they added auto gratuity of 18% to our check. Our awful server had the nerve to question why my sister didn't pay the full amount of the ticket. When she told him he couldn't auto charge us gratuity he immediately backed off. Do not recommend.
@management: review your policies and regulations. And train your servers. Adding an 18% service charge to a party of 1. Not listed as a "service charge" nor an "operations charge". Failed to post tipping policy in English and Spanish. Contesting the service charge. A gratuity is a VOLUNTARY gift for service. As is a TIP. Florida HB 535/SB 606 will resolve this permanently. Have never in my life been chased out of a restaurant because as server felt entitled to a tip and threatened to call the police over the difference of a dollar.
