My wife and I loved the lively atmosphere. Service was great and the food was really good and affordable. Really good Cuban restaurant overall. We will surely be back to hangout and try some other foods on the menu. The tamale, croquettas and pork belly was really good 😊
An old school Cuban classic! So good!!!! We had the vaca frita, the palomilla, and a couple croquetas as a starter. Everything was excellent and all the servers were very attentive.
Delicious food with very fast service! Our server, Ronaldo, was very kind and accommodating. There was a wide variety of menu options and everyone in my party found something for them! The portions were large and the food was great.
Atmosphere was great, food was amazing 10/10 my daughter and I enjoyed our food! Definitely making a trip back!
I am biased and have not been home in over a year but there is nothing bad I can say. I waited less than five minutes to be seated, ordered right away and the waiter was phenomenal. He went out of his way and beyond with our order. The food, just as good as I remember and look forward to a return visit. We had mofongo, croquetas, bistec millanesa, chicharones, y jugos de mango y mamay.
Good place to enjoy some cuban food. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The food was fresh and tasty. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the picadillo, but that's probably more of a personal choice. The batido de trigo was delicious. The frituras de malanga and tostones rellenos were really good.
This is my go to place whenever I want croquetas as they have the best croquetas in town. This is why whenever friends come in from out of town, I make sure they enjoy some croquetas from here. On Saturday, I passed by to get a croqueta preparada. The sandwich was delicious and very filling. It had a lot of meat. The service is also always great. The drive thru line at times takes long, but honestly, I don’t mind it as I know that means the food is freshly made. The ladies at the drive thru are also very sweet when I pick up food with my dogs. I definitely recommend this place.

We had an amazing experience at Islas Canarias, thanks in large part to our server, Jose Javier. He provided outstanding service—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. He recommended the marinated fried chickpeas, and they were absolutely delicious—one of the best dishes we’ve ever tried. Thanks to his excellent service and great recommendations, our dining experience was truly exceptional. We’ll definitely be coming back!
The servers at this restaurant don't speak English; they communicate entirely in Spanish. The fried meatballs, a mix of ham and cheese, couldn't quite match up to the flavors I'm used to from Taiwan. 🤫 The grilled beef, marinated in lime, garlic, and salt, then crisped up, had a tangy flavor that helped cut through the richness, although it was a bit oily. The cassava had the texture and taste of potatoes but was cooked in a rather greasy way. Plantains, with their higher starch content and lower sugar, were fried over low heat, caramelized with sugar to a golden hue, offering a sweet taste. Just a couple were enough. Rice pudding - Americans really seem to love cinnamon-flavored products, but personally, I find them too sweet. 🐜 Mamey fruit, with its orange-red flesh, tasted like almonds. I particularly enjoyed its creamy texture; it wasn't overly sweet, which suited my taste buds perfectly. 😋 Cuban coffee, served in a tiny cup, was unexpectedly sweet on the first sip! They pour syrup into the cup first, then dissolve it with boiling espresso. Surprisingly, I still slept really well that night. ☕️
Highly recommend, I'm a regular and always enjoy the food and good service. Norma was our server, very attentive. Will be back soon.
Rey went above and beyond for us, even packed us a meal to take home to my grandmother. Food was delicious, service was even better!
One of the best, most authentic cuban food in Miami...a staple in the community.
josé was our waiter and he did amazing made our valentine’s day brunch way more special
Daily and Felix were our servers, they did everything outstanding. The food was delicious. Thank you.!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an amazing brunch at Islas Canarias Restaurant with a friend, and it was everything we hoped for! The food was authentic, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I had ropa vieja with congri, maduros, and two croquetas, and every bite was packed with rich, homemade flavor. My friend went for picadillo with white rice, black beans, a crispy pork belly strip, and a fried egg—a true Cuban classic done right. To top it all off, we ended with a perfect cafecito, strong and smooth, just the way it should be. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere made for a great dining experience. If you’re craving quality Cuban food, Islas Canarias is a must. Highly recommend! —Tattooed Beekeeper 🍽🐝
We picked this place to stop on our way to the keys for some authentic Cuban. Holy moly this place was perfection. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was on point. This would be a weekly dinner if I lived near enough. I had the pot roast, fried sweet potatoes, and the dirty rice. 10/10. Hope I make it back
I've tried a lot of different plates They cook very delicious here Their prices are very reasonable They have a very big variety which I love And their guava and cheese flan is the best
Our server was Ronald and he was attentive, prompt to take our orders and was friendly. We felt like queens and kings. The food was delicious and hot the way I like it.
Best croquetas in Miami. Full of creamy filling and a very light coating. Hot chocolate is the thick Spanish version (no swiss miss here)! All the Cuban food here is excellent. Never had a bad meal
The food is delicious, and hospitality was very enjoyable. It's my favorite cuban restaurant of Miami, hands down. I went with my girlfriend on Sunday it I had the lamb, and she had the Carne asada 😋 definitely will be going back time and time again! Thank you for great food and great service!
Over the years we’ve always known the croquetas are the best. Our detour led us near the restaurant and I was happy to stop in and see if they were still the best after so many years. I ordered four and someone ate one (husband issues) I also ordered Caldo Gallego was delicious… I didn’t care for the plantain chips which was like a bag of chips, he ordered the pork stake and the traditional rice and beans, I had to get maduros which were not gooey enough for me. Overall the meal was great… it was slow and felt service could have been a little more but it’s still worth the ride from broward. I could of had ham croquetas only and been happy.
Welcomed into the counter like family even though due to distance i dont frequent this restaurant by a server whom has worked there for many years, others arrived a nd same familiarity. Loved the experience and their croquetas !!
A huge variety of great food. It was very difficult to pick an entree because they all look delicious. And their waiter, Ronaldo was fantastic! Despite us being a party of nine, a bit noisy and indecisive, he always kept a smile and was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place. And another great bonus, wasn't even particularly expensive. Lots of delicious items for less than 20 bucks
Islas Is the best Cuban food restaurant in Miami. Norma is our favorite waitress! She makes the experience so much more enjoyable! Always greets you with a smile and she is such a great person! Definitely worth the trip to Kendal.
Amazing service by Daily! She is very sweet and attentive. Their croquetas are the best in Miami!
I am in absolute awe of this place. I don’t really speak Spanish too well, but Veyda literally told me to drive up to the window and she helped me through the entire ordering process. The biggest highlight was that I wanted tres leche and they didn’t have it available only for dine in. I was covered in sweat from working out and I didn’t want to get out of my car, the manager Stephanie packed up the dessert for me without a problem!! I will be coming back here!!!
I’m always stopping by Ilas Canarias to pick up croquetas, coladas, and pastelitos for my real estate showings — my clients love them every time! Their food and service are consistently amazing, and it’s become part of my routine when hosting buyers and sellers around Kendall and the Miami area. Highly recommend this spot! — John S. | Realtor – @Johnnys_Realty | Kendall Miami Real Estate
Norma was our waitress, very attentive and fast. Our food was delicious, didn’t wait much and enjoyed good ambiance with soft music. Will be back soon.
Days to days you need an escape, and part of it is sharing a nice environment with friends and family. We traveled to Florida and part of our best experience was to have the opportunity of dining at this beautiful restaurant. Jose was excellent, top tier food and service. Will recommend this place to anyone seeking a fun, cordial atmosphere and friendly place. Will be back again !!!
When in Miami this is an Iconic location to stop for a quick snack or sit down lunch or dinner ,we stopped at the walk up window and order an order of their Epic croquetas !! With an Orange soda! So good fried to perfection a mix of potato and fine chopped ham and Cheese ,so you get saltine crackers and smash a croqueta between them and squeeze lime juice on them and chow down ..so good perfect lil snack before hitting the road!!
Absolutely incredible. What a fantastic meal. The best food I had in Miami. My wife says the rice and beans are better than her family makes back in Brazil, the best she's had in years, so you know that was hard to admit. I had some roasted pork ribs with marinara sauce (kind of, but sweeter and brighter) served atop some green (onion I think) risotto. The dish was so delicious. This place was recommended by our airboat driver guide who apparently used to work here. Spot on. The atmosphere is old school cool, with painted murals, jazz music, and white table cloths. A classy joint. It will be helpful if you have someone in your party who speaks Spanish, because I don't think anyone who works there could (perhaps they just didn't offer). But don't let this scare you off. The menu has English descriptions. You have a smart phone. You'll be fine. Just go. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Miami.
Rey Monteagudo must say has been the most extraordinary service we have received in the ten years that we have been coming to Islas Canarias. Thank you for your service today!! Above and beyond!!!!

We were a huge group and everyone did an amazing job of accommodating us. Our server Jose was the greatest! Best service we have had in any restaurant in a long time and the good amazing as always.

Islas Canaria’s is great. We visited today and the waitress was very attentive and courteous. It was busy and there was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Palomilla steak is definitely one of the best in town. Food was plentiful and delicious. Tres leches nice portion and great. I will definitely come back
The food here is out of this world amazing. We come to Miami dreaming of this food. Croquetas, fried pork chunks, boiled yucca… Its so good. SO GOOD!! And the staff is always so charming and lovely. Thank you Jose for being an amazing server!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Canarias Restaurant with my customer and friend. I would like to commend Jose, the attendant, for his exceptional professionalism and helpfulness. The dining experience was greatly enhanced by the excellent food and the outstanding service provided by Jose. Thank you, Jose, for your exemplary service. Maria,Cancio
Our server, Laura, was excellent! Despite the restaurant being busy, she seated us promptly and was very attentive throughout our meal. The food was delicious, and the price was great, especially with coffee and a side included. Overall, we were really happy with the service Laura provided!
We had such a great time and the food is amazing. The croquetas are a MUST! Jose & Igraine our servers made sure to provide us with the best service. We’ll definitely be back.
We had a fantastic experience at your restaurant, largely due to our server, Jose. From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming and made sure every need was met. The recommendations were spot on and the service was seamless. Thank you for a great evening!
Place is super clean and always busy. Friendly and efficient staff. I had the vaca frita, black beans, and white rice, and it was the best I've had. The cafe con leche was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant for one of the best places to eat Cuban food.
We were a party of 7, seated immediately, on a Saturday at 230. Delicious food. Great service by Ronaldo. Highlights: the vaca frita, yuca al mojo was outstanding, and the best cafe con leche (w/leche evaporada) you’ll ever have. One of Our fave spots for Cuban food 🩷
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing. Islas Canarias is my favorite Cuban restaurant in Miami. Jose Javier attended us super well very friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!
I love this place; the only downside is that they only speak Spanish. But they are great, and that's the point. They make some really good food and have the best colada! The cool thing is, they recognize me just from my order.
My parents and I had a wonderful experience there today, mostly because of our wonderful server, Ray! He was so friendly and attentive and it really made our afternoon! The food was excellent as well!
I would like to express how great it feels that every time I go to get food Yovaisy Lago treats me wonderful. She is an asset to your restaurant and is always with a positive attitude. She smiles at everyone and I feel welcomed and loved. Thank you for having wonderful, amazing, and beautiful employees ❤️.
I had the chance to stop by Islas Canarias Restaurant while traveling for work, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant strikes a nice balance between cozy and trendy—perfect for a solo meal without feeling out of place. The service was impressively fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome right away. I started with a small plate of their local specialties and a perfectly brewed coffee, which was a nice touch to get my morning started. For lunch, I tried one of their comfort food dishes, and the flavors were rich and satisfying without being heavy. I also couldn’t resist sampling a cocktail from their extensive menu—the mixology was spot-on. The dessert selection looked incredible, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try it next time. Overall, it’s a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a relaxed vibe that still feels special. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area.
Our excellent experience was made even better by our waiter, Rey. Even though the restaurant was packed, he made sure everything was going great. The food was delivered freshly made, hot and ready to be eaten. Very fast and outstanding service by Rey. We have repeated this restaurant since forever because of the food and service because of people like Rey. Everything was amazing!
This place is truly iconic, one of my favorite Cuban spots in Miami. I came with my family and everything we ordered was outstanding. My mom had the fish en salsa de ajo, my husband ordered the carne en salsa, and I went with the vaca frita de pollo with veggies and maduritos. We also shared the tamal en hoja, absolutely to die for. Ronaldo was our waiter, and from the moment he greeted us to the moment we left, he was courteous, kind, and genuinely fun. Service like that really elevates the whole experience. I wish I had photos of the food, but I am terrible at remembering to take pictures. I am always too excited to start eating. The ambiance alone is worth the visit. The decor is such a staple. Cabinets line the ceiling and are filled with bottles, which feels so unique and full of character. I love the aesthetics of this place. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
Atmosphere was outstanding and felt fancy. Staff were quick and friendly and had a good flair with presentation. The food was great, I had the Cuban style spaghetti, with sausage (Espaguetti al Estilo Cubano, con Chorizo) I believe it to be the best spaghetti I've had so far, but I will condition that claim by mentioning I don't have much to compare it too so I admit my opinion is not well weighted. The prices are really good, I actually went back over the recipt to make sure they hadn't missed billing me for something because it came in under what I expected. If I was local, I could see this becoming a regular place to visit!
Ray he was helpful since we were uncertain what to order. All his recommendations were perfect. He provided excellent service. Cuban sandwich, media Noche and croquetas were the best I ever had. Thank you Ray for the great experience.
I’ve been coming to Islas Canarias since I was about 7 years old, and now in my mid-30’s, it’s still one of my absolute go-to places. That alone says everything. Over the years, I’ve consistently experienced great service, incredible food, and exceptionally fair prices. This is one of those rare restaurants where you can confidently order anything on the menu and know you’re going to love it. The food quality is always high, the portions are generous, and the pricing has remained incredibly reasonable for the value you get. Beyond the food, the staff truly make you feel like family. There’s a warm, welcoming Cuban ambiance that makes every visit feel comfortable and familiar — like home. It’s a sure bet if you’re looking for a meal you’ll genuinely enjoy, every single time. On this particular visit, our waitress Daily inspired me to finally leave this review after I mentioned how great my lunch was and how long I’ve been coming here. She was absolutely wonderful — attentive, kind, and just an all-around fantastic waitress. Highly recommend asking for her when you visit. Islas Canarias is a Miami classic for a reason. 👏🇨🇺

Good food and the Crema Catalana was the best ever. The Pargo and the sauce was absolutely delicious …. It took a while for the hostess to sit us down, and there was no weight, but Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable with every dish. That was a plus.

If you want Miami style cuban food this is a great place to go. Islas Canarias is an institution in West Kendall. As customary service is cuban style too, so don't expect to be pampered, tables are a bit too close so it may feel a tiny bit cramped, but it makes for the atmosphere of being full and lively on the weekends. Food is very good and so very Miami-305 Cuban traditional.
The only thing that would make this restaurant perfect is timeliness. I waited 15 min to be seated, and they weren’t really that busy. Our server took forever to take our order & then forever to bring the appetizer. She brought the appetizer & then the entree 5 min later :/ the food is amazing! I’ve never eaten anything here that disappointed me & for that reason I’ll always come back.
Large restaurant with plenty of parking serving delicious food with friendly, knowledgeable servers. I ordered the Sampler Criollo because I wanted to try more than one dish. Lechón Asado, Roap Vieja, Croqueta, Arroz, Frijoles Negros, Yuca y Maduros and all were delicious. I would definitely go back.
Service excellent, and restaurant clean. We ordered the croquetas, a papa rellena and Cuban sandwiches. The croquetas were good, but the papa rellena was cold in the middle. Still tasted good though. I do wish the bread on the Cuban sandwich was a little more pressed but again it tasted good. Good price for what you get.
Another fantastic visit to Islas Canaria! This place continues to deliver that comforting, authentic Cuban flavor that feels like home. The camarones en salsa blanca were perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and swimming in a rich, creamy sauce that was impossible not to enjoy down to the last bite. The bistec empanizado was equally impressive: crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Every bite reminded me why this spot is a Miami classic. Add in the friendly service and generous portions, and it’s easy to see why Islas Canaria remains a go-to for consistently great food. Highly recommended if you’re craving delicious Cuban comfort food done right—this meal absolutely hit the spot. 🇨🇺✨

I went through the drive-thru yesterday to pick up a soup, croquetas, cortadito, and a carne con papa for my relatives. They confused my order and gave me a carne asada instead; the server didn't have patience to answer my questions about one of the items they had; and the cortadito size was insulting. They served me a cortadito in a cup meant for a colada. In my 30+ years living in Miami, a cortadito has always been bigger than a colada. They're charging the same, but giving less. It was very sad. Also, they made me wait in the parking lot for my food, but there is no designated spot to wait, so I was haphazardly parked in a busy parking lot -- it was an accident waiting to happen. Very poor experience.

Pretty authentic Cuban food with some Cuban-American flare dishes. The portions are smaller when compared to other restaurants around the same price range. From the outside the place looks old, the inside was shockingly well kept and decorated. I had the lobster bisque which would not recommend, it tasted just like the one from Costco. Tostones with chicken are ok, not remarkable. Service is good.
I’ll start by saying that they are my favorite croquettas, by far. But the employees that work at the drive thru window all have attitude. I have yet to come across one that doesn’t. The waiters inside are always nice though. They also need to invest back into your business and fix the drive thru window screens. The technology has been fuzzy and going in and out for YEARS. You can’t even read the menu correctly. But I will continue to go for the food. Just hoping they start to take pride in their establishment.
During my recent visit to Islas Canarias Restaurant in Miami, I had a series of mixed feelings about the experience. On one hand, I was delighted to find that their croquettes de jamón (ham croquettes) have maintained their excellent taste over the years. These little delights are as amazing as ever, providing a comforting sense of consistency and quality. However, the main courses we ordered were somewhat disappointing. My Vaca frita, although flavorful, turned out to be tough and not as tender as I had hoped. It seemed overcooked, which took away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Similarly, my wife’s fish, specifically kingfish, was unfortunately old and hard. This was quite surprising as kingfish, known for its soft texture and subtle flavors, didn't live up to our expectations or its usual culinary standards. That said, the other items we tried were pleasant, which somewhat balanced out our dining experience. But it's undeniable that the main courses, crucial to any meal, were a letdown. I sincerely hope Islas Canarias takes this feedback into account. An improvement in the preparation of their main dishes could significantly enhance the dining experience, aligning it with the high standards set by their renowned croquettes.
I gave this place three stars because of the experiences I have had with my credit card being stolen from there twice. I have gone three times in my last three visits to Miami. The food is delicious the service is 2 out of 3 times has been great. They have some of the best cuban food in Miami and hands down the best croquettas ever made. They are just perfect. The cuban sandwhich is probably one of Miami's best. The three star rating comes from my credit card number being stolen from there. The first time I used my AMEX the following day it had been used to by concert tickets. Theirs was the last place it was used, it'd be one thing if it was a one time thing. The second time I went I used my visa, the same thing happened, this time to by photography equipment same exact amount of time. The third time I went I paid with case and what do you know, none of my credit cards where stolen. I called the restaurant to speak with a manager and surprise surprise no one called back. The food is delicious so I will continue to go just for the food but only with cash.
Do get the fried plantains and garlic appetizer. Do get the sweet plantains and try their Cuban coffee. Everything else I ate was just okay. The pork was a little dry and the skirt steak alittle chewy. But the service was great and take a Spanish speaking friend. It really does help.
Good Cuban and Spanish food at some what reasonable prices. Service and ambiance are also good as well. Nothing spectacular but it gets the job done.

We've been customers of this restaurant for over 20 years, and since the pandemic, when most of its employees stopped working, this place has been in steep decline. We arrived today around 7:20 a.m. There were hardly any customers, and we had to ask if they were open because the waiters looked at us as if it wasn't time to serve us yet. We sat on a table, asked a waitress if she could serve us, and she said she would as soon as she got her things sorted. I've worked in customer service in this country for over 20 years and had never heard of anything like this. When five minutes passed without anyone coming to serve us, we moved to the counter, where no one served us either, and we sat there for almost five more minutes. Annoyed, I stood up and asked the same waitress as before why no one was serving us, that we had a doctor's appointment and needed to have breakfast and leave quickly, and that wherever we sat, we were ignored. At this point, the waitress told me she would take my order immediately, which she did in front of me and I even heard her telling the kitchen to hurry up because we needed to leave. The food came very quickly, the waitress served us very correctly and professionally, which we appreciated when she served us. The milk was watery and the croquettes lacked their usual flavor. The bread was generously buttered, just as we requested, and it was delicious. In the end, they brought us the check promptly so we could leave as we wished, and we were grateful for that. In my humble opinion, the manager should be aware that if they open the establishment at 7:00 a.m., the employees should be ready to serve customers without objections. They must also ensure that the food maintains the same standards as before, because long-time customers notice the difference in quality for the worse.

I am writing this review to help out my fellow future customer and prevent them from having the same experience as me. DO NOT do their drive thru service. You will be waiting for a very very long time to get your food AFTER you order. Happens every time! They cannot accommodate a drive through service. Never ever again!
I’m honestly not sure what all the fuss is about. We waited almost an hour and a half for our order that was, at best, mediocre, and the person helping us struggled to understand even basic English, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the time or effort we put in.
Disappointing that croquetas and Cuban sandwiches aren't on the dinner menu, or at least they weren't when we went on 4/24/21. Ended up ordering: Tostones Rellen Pollo: 3 plantain cups stuffed with shredded chicken. $7.99 Vaca Frita De Pollo: shredded chicken that's been grilled with a side of (totally unseasoned) steamed cruciferous vegetables and plantains. $11.99 8 oz Baby Riconada: a steak with onions and plantains $13.99 Free French bread. Food was nothing to write home about and it was SO loud. Just felt disappointed because we were told they had the best croquettes and Cuban sandwiches and then once we're seated and it's too late to go anywhere else, we find out that they're not even served during dinner.
It had been more than 18 years since the last time I picked up food here. This time I dined inside and we were a party of 7. I went beginning of Nov and definitely not going back. The moros I got had a weird taste to it. Breaded steak several parts that were too cooked. The yuca with mojo and my corona beer were delicious tho.

This ridiculous. Now the empanadas are half what the used to be and the croquetas also shrink. But price increased. This is the last time I buy them.

After waiting one hour and 2 minutes, this is what I got. Only potato with onions. Now I know why they charge only $12 for this big omelette, because they serving only potato and onions It was my first and last time in this restaurant. Really pissed off.
First time they served me burnt eggs and waitress at the counter says I need to ask it for soft, then proceeds to serve me this!!! It looks disgusting and will not eat it. It’s not difficult to cook eggs that are not burnt brown. This is the exact way how to loose customers. Food is too expensive and not worth it. Value your customers and do better.

Everytime I come to this restaurant it’s the same issue I made my order in the drive thru at 4:30pm and they told me to wait in a parking spot and it was 5:19 when they gave me my food and on top of that it was cold. No more ordering from this place
Well I didn't got the opportunity to try the food because the olds ladies on the window were more paid attention to gossip with I guess usual gest that attent people the window was pack and they take the time to keep talking rather than service
The service was very bad and the overall experience was horrible. The food was cold, poor quality, the croquettes were frozen and the side dishes as well. The management should be more careful and take action to improve the service and the quality of the food.
I heard someone say this place had the best croquetas. The croquetas were over seasoned, so soft they don't stand without bending, and over priced for sure. Nope not even a maybe.
Honestly, it’s sad that restaurants these days no longer care to have quality food. Idk what is the hype but this place food is NOT good at all! I can tell it’s super low quality for the price and the hype. Not sure what happened but wow! The only good thing on my plate was the croqueta and careful because I know of a place wayyy better with croquetas!! 🫤 NOT SATISFIED AT ALL.
I havent Dined here in a while but the palomilla I received Via Uber Eats was absolutely horrid. Pellejos everywhere in the steak making it hard to find a place where I could Easily cut the steak with a steak knife. Extremely extremely disappointed!!!!
I’ve been coming here for two decades, but this place has gone to trash. My wife ordered two pan con bistec’s on their website for 6:15 PM pick up. Arrived at 6:15 the order was not ready and took 25 minutes to get ready. I can get over a delay in the food being ready, but Everything was old. The bread was hard as a rock, the fries had been fried in oil more than once. The bread on the sandwiches was hard as rock, not even From the leftover breakfast or lunch, this bread was like two days old. Not edible. I’m not sure how they can serve this food to people picking up orders, my entire meal was not edible. $50 dollars down the dran. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this place and I’m a local, they lost my business. I will never go to this Islas again.
Went through the drive through (took over 10 minutes or likely longer but, I was patient so I didn’t track it) just to order a total of 12 croquettes with my young children in the car before I drove to Broward. I paid and was told to park in the front until someone could get them out to me. It took close to 30 minutes from placing my order to have them ready for me. I had to go and ask for them and pick them up myself at the window. I had to check to see if they gave me the limes I asked for at the drive thru twice, and at the window another two times. The limes were not there. Had to wait for the limes. Very frustrating. Very. And there’s no point to complain in person because this is typical standard of drive thru service at Islas Canarias.
The service is terrible when you order over the phone or in person, also in uber eats, the orders are always wrong, they don’t read notes and managers don’t care about the customer service. Very sad, they think they are the best in town due to the time being open. But things have changed a lot in that restaurant. People don’t care anymore
We came for bteakfast. Seevice was not good. We wanted cuban bread but they gave us french bread. The waitress did not provide information regarding bread even though we told her to change it. I asked for overmediun fried eggs which came uncooked. I asked for napkins that never came. We had experienced similar situations in the past. This was not our first time here but it will be our last!
My family and I have been coming here for years. We used to love the food quality and flavor of the dishes. Yesterday afternoon we order take out. Everything was horrible. I ordered picadillo and it was hard and the taste was simple not there. My husband ordered a steak, it was cold and everything was tasteless. Awful experience. I will not be coming back here ever again. There are many more good restaurants in Kendall. Please don’t come here if you are expecting good food.
