The staff are so lovely. The hostesses, the pizza makers, the owners.. all very nice and polite. Every time we tip the ENTIRE place gives us a big thank you. They are all super sweet.

It’s definitely out of your way if you want a good Apizza, the place isn’t huge and there’s only a small space to dine in but as soon as I walked through those doors the Owner welcomed me with great enthusiasm and you can tell immediately he was the boss. I had the chef’s special margherita pizza which was amazing the fresh basil and house sauce light fresh mozzarella the dough was definitely perfectly cooked. I’m from The Bronx I was here for a visit and I saw it on Tik Tok. Worth trying out especially if you’re missing home up north.

I can't say enough great things about this place! I ordered from Pizza Johnny's to cater food for around 40 people today. From the moment I called to place my order to when I drove away with a car filled with mouthwatering food, the Pizza Johnny's staff made my experience both enjoyable and fun. I ordered pizza and salad to bring to Jackson South Medical Center and Pizza Johnny's was extremely helpful with suggestions as well as communication leading up to my pickup. When I arrived to pickup my food, they had carefully wrapped everything to help keep it warm. The hospital staff absolutely LOVED the pizzas. The buffalo chicken was probably the biggest hit. That being said, EVERYTHING was extremely high quality and delicious. Thank you again for all of your help and for such a great experience! 10/10, must try!

Pizza is good, very few small business pizzerias in miami, I support when the food is good and this place makes some good pies. Good subs too. After ten years looks like the pizzeria is now closed. Some of the best pizza in Miami during its early years but lately you could see the downturn.

One of our favorites for Italian take-out. Really can't go wrong with any dish, just choose one of your favorites. We love their catering options for get togethers and most everyone has raved about the food.

Where to start, the staff is Amazing, Johnny's always there, very hands on. Since we order from them every week, sometimes twice, I can tell you that pretty much Everything on the menu is Outstanding! My husband is a pizza fanatic and very picky about his pizza. This is his favorite (and we have an Italian restaurant right around the corner ) everything is fresh, the sandwiches, Yum! The entrée are just so good. The eggplant parm is outstanding. This salads are so good! And, I'm obsessed with the chicken salad. I Highly recommend that you try not only the pizza but the entrée as well. You won't be disappointed.

Let me say this is probably one of the best pizza places I’ve been to. They were very busy for a Friday but the workers still managed to be extremely friendly and super sweet. I cannot remember the name of the woman at the counter who helped me but I love her and I’ll be coming back soon!!!

By far the best pizza I have had in my life and I have gone to many pizza places. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu by far the best money I have spent to satisfy my hunger. I make it a point to try new pizza places all around Miami looking for the perfect slice! This place just became my favorite in all dade county! Great slice, sauce was great, fresh, crust was perfect, staff very polite and slice was in my hand in less than 2 minutes.

Fantastic little slice of pizza heaven. You have to admire a place that sells by the slice. Perfect little 2 piece-soda combo and you're all set. It is sandwiched between a sushi place and a barbershop, if the red sign is illegible just follow the scent.

The pizza was such an authentic NY pie. It's the best tasting pizza we had in such a long time. There was a mix up with our delivery order but the restaurant made up for it and we received our order immediately after I called. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good Ny pizza.

The pizza is excellent, and the staff is very nice. Every time i go in, the owner welcomes me and asks me how I'm doing. The pizza is thin style, and is affordable. For an extra large cheese I usually pay around 17 and change. Overall I think this is a great alternative to Two Brothers in Town & Country Mall. I would highly recommend them.

This is such a rare pizzeria. The employees were very inviting, I felt such a warm atmosphere the first second I walked in. I hate that I just found this place!! If you’ve never been, do yourself a favor a go ASAP. My dentist is right next door and am usually at the first appointment, too early for pizza. BUT TODAY!! The crust was a perfect thickness, crunchy, and not burnt! I walked in a felt like I walked into a family’s home. Everyone said hello and they were so attentive to what I was ordering. They started prepping before I even paid and it was ready before I sat down. I will start scheduling my appointments after lunch. I be back with friends and family before then though.

A Latin friend of mine took me and another friend to Pizza Johnny's. He had been there before and was anxious to hear our opinions. I am from New York and Italian and our other friend is an Italian Jersey Girl. I had no preconceived notions. When we entered, Johnny cheerfully greeted us while making a pie. We ordered a large pie. Johnny was friendly and conversational while we waited for our pizza. The staff was friendly as well. We learned he makes the dough and pizza sauce from scratch. When the pizza arrived, my NJ friend immediately turned her slice vertical to see how much grease would roll off. A few drops-perfect! The crust was crispy without being overcooked and the sauce on the pizza was delicious! We had extra cheese and mushroom and we devoured the large pie! I am definitely returning soon and often.

If you buy a pizza, the box says something along the lines of best pizza in the 305. This has most definetly been the best pizza I've tried here on miami. Almost ate the whole box by myself. It was that scary good. Not to mention the cooking tike was pretty fast. I probably waited 7 mins after I ordered to receive my pie. I usually never write reviews but I and to for Johny's. 10/10 would recommend 👌

I'm very pleased to hear that Pizza Johny's made this weeks #WeeklyYelp because it is my go to pizza spot. This review will be short and to the point because it is based on solely the service I have received via delivery. I'm a sucker for thin crust/new york style pizza and as any pizza lover will tell you it's all about the crust. What I like about Johny's is the consistency they deliver with that crust. It has that perfect chew to it which is a nice blend of squishy and crispy. Again mind you this is after it's been sitting in the back of a delivery vehicle. I can only imagine how good it is eating it at the restaurant. I also recommend the Italian Sandwich, for me it's a staple and my fat ass always pairs it with a slice of cheese pizza on the side. I have Pros: Pizza is delicious and not overly greasy and the slices are LARGE New York style crust that has a nice crisp and bite to it Fast delivery Convenient Delivery because of EAT24 Italian sandwich is a must try Cons: The online Yelp/Eat24 menu needs to be updated as some of the menu items are not up to date.

The pizza place is really good ,I just wish the had left the pizza in a little bit longer in the oven to make it crispy,but really good Pizza loved the taste of the sauce, the dough very good taste. Also would be nice if you guys had oregano , red pepper flakes to add to the pizza a garbage can in front as well.

I tried this place out of sheer luck one day when I was in the mood for pizza but not your typical “fast food style” pizza. That said, I’m so happy I just happened to be in this area and it was the first pizza place I saw because I loved it. The pizza was cooked to perfection, you get big NY style slices (as advertised) and everything tasted so good. While yes, it’s true, the prices are higher than the boxed stores, but the quality is hands down worth the money. The reviewers who complain about the price need to realize that this is a small local business and costs for running a mom and pop place is at times much higher than a chain which buys in bulk. At the end of the day, you’re paying for quality.

In an area we weren't familiar with so we did a quick Google search for pizza. Johnny's had great reviews so we took a chance. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. Wow!! This was the most delicious pizza!! They do not hold back on the cheese and the sauce is so amazing. Not to sweet, not too savory, and FRESH! There isn't much room to sit inside so we sat in the car. Sound effects were in full force..."ooh" ing and "mmmm" ing with every bite. :)

Wow, finally, this is the best true New York style pizza I've tasted. We ordered 4 pizzas for the office and 2 people here are from NY and they said it was the same as in NY. The pizza was great! We also ordered the Garlic rolls and Zeppolis, they were good also! Monica, that took the order and delivered it was fantastic! Excellent customer service. You have to try this place!

This pizza was way too good! Very thin and plenty of meat for the four meat pizza! Outside seating worked out great for my dog :) great service too. The chicken tenders looked like they were cooked in really dirty oil. Thank goodness they were for my dog, but I still felt bad for how dark they looked on the outside :/ overall great service though!

NY style pizza is my favorite and Johny's has the best around. I first tried Johny's at a birthday party a few years back and absolutely loved it. I try to drop by any time I am nearby and today I was able to take the kiddos with me, they LOVED it. My daughter gives you guys a 100 star rating LOL Today was our first time meeting the owner and he is such a nice guy, made us feel as we have been friends forever. The pizza is amazing. The person named Tree I believe and the other workers and pizza makers are amazing! Very kind and hard working. However, I would caution against ordering for delivery. The delivery drivers are awful they have an awful attitude. We tried this place for the first time ordered delivery and we live ten minutes away. It took the delivery driver more than an hour to get to our house and obviously the pizza came cold. We were upset at first but then called the store to see what was going on. Tree was very kind said she could send a replacement. However, the driver REFUSED. REFUSED to deliver the replacement pizza and I’m guessing claimed we lied. I had given a tip before and we were going to tip him more for the trouble. Then they tried getting another delivery driver to take it and he said no. I couldn’t believe it. Tree apologized and said to ask for her if we wanted to get pizza again. We went in person and it was an amazing experience! So like I said it’s better to go in person rather than delivery. I hope the owner is aware that their delivery drivers have awful attitudes and make the people at the actual restaurant work harder than they need to. Thank you for the customer service at the actual place! Will come back again!

A friend of mine has been recommending Johny's for years and it's not as close as some others so I hadn't tried it. That changed when one of my go-to spots closed. Absolutely delicious. It reminds me of a place in North Miami that I went to during High School called Myers Pizza. Great ingredients, nice char on a crispy crust. The sausage and pepperoni was tasty and the garlic and spinach was extremely garlicky! Both amazing. Been there 3 times since "discovering" Johny's and there will be many more visits in the near future. Well done!

This review is LONG overdue. My family and I found this gem about a year ago. Let me tell you, since we have, now it’s almost impossible to eat pizza anywhere else. Personally, the spinach pinwheels are my favorite. I love everything on the well done side and they exactly know how to make it. Staff down to earth and greet and treat my family sensationally every time we dine in. I prefer not ordering takeout or delivery because it doesn’t do it justice; you must eat on the spot! If loving you guys is wrong I don’t want to be right. 😅

Great staff, make you feel at home right away. Prices are reasonable although topping prices are a bit high. Pizza sauce is a little bland, but still good. Great special price on two slices and a soda and the slices are large. Definitely beats any of the chain pizza places and most of the other local places by a huge margin. Has become my 'go-to' place for pizza.

Guys I'm from NY born and raised and I tend to be picky with pizza. I like em thin, cheesy, and greasy lol. Most good pizza places in Miami taste like NY style pizza but this is the only place that is exactly like NY pizza. Just one bite and I was transported to Mario's Pizza in NY. The pizza was hot and the cheese was piled on so I had to fold it just maintain the shape. Add on the friendly service and little attention to details and you can see this place is special. I bought my pizza and they insisted I sit and enjoy it and pay after I'm done. I loved that. Now I've only tries their pizza by the slice so I'm not sure about the quality when they sell the whole pie but you can believe I'm going to find out. The restaurant itself is suited for a quick in and out bite and doesn't pretend to be anything too fancy. The decor was on point and was entertaining to look at while I ate my pizza. 5/5 GO GET SOME!

Very attentive staff - they had asked me if I was content with the bake of my pie and returned it for more time after I asked for it to cook a little longer… something I have never been asked from a mom and pop pizzeria. Pies are excellent - sauce and ingredients are top notch. Will return without question!

Good comfort food at an equally good price. Got two satisfying cheese slices for under $8. For the food quality, the slices were deliciously greasy. The tomato sauce is not noticeable in flavor, and the mozzarella cheese is soft in flavor. The best part of the pizza is the crust: perfect toast on the bottom crust and a fresh dough mouthfeel. Definitely would come back to try out their other menu items in the future.

Best carry-out/delivery pie in the 305. Five stars for their pizza, but delivery can be frustrating. Orders are often delayed, and the drivers ALWAYS forget the parmesan (even if explicitly request it three times while ordering). Your best bet is picking it up yourself. You could also dine in, but there are usually not many tables available, and not the greatest ambience.

Oh my gosh - BEST pizza I've had outside of NYC. Great service. Looks like a takeout only place but you can eat in and the pizza is AMAZING!!! Would give this 10 stars if I could. We ate so much and still had leftovers. Huge pizza slices available and can buy pizzas up to 24" if you could eat it!

Tonight I discovered that sadly Pizza Johnny has closed its doors. I have frequented Johnny's for over 10 years if not way more and their pizza was the best. Sadly, as of lately there was a female employee who answered the phones who was terribly obnoxious and rude ALL the time. I am wondering if this is the reason why the place went down hill. Thank you for all the great pizza, Johnny. You will be missed.

Stopped in to order take out. We ordered a Pie, rolls, cheese sticks, and a chicken francaise. The pizza came out first. Ok, no prob. Waited over 20 min, and the cheese stick finally came out. Were compt an order of Mac and cheese nuggets for being patient. FINALLY, after 45 min waiting, we got our chicken francaise. Ummmmm, no bueno.. the pasta was dry, and the chicken did not look or taste appetizing. Ohhhh the rolls... well, we forgot about them, but ......THE PIZZA WAS ACTUALLY VERY VERY GOOD!!

Wanted to give 5 stars, but part of my order didn't meet my expectations. I ordered the lasagna and literally just received meat and cheese- disappointing. However, the flavor is great. Wanted to try their pizza so I ordered a slice of cheese and it was amazing. I also ordered the fettuccine alfredo (added chicken), which was awesome. I will give the place another try. Hopefully next time, the lasagna actually comes with the noodles!

The pizza in my opinion is ok at best. The garlic rolls are better than the pizza. This location is really strictly take out. Dine in is very uncomfortable and NOT recommended. Take out is a must but again it's not my favorite pizza by a long shot. Again in my opinion is ok but not great.

Just wanted to drop a quick review after my visit. Your team rocks! Super nice service all around, which definitely made the meal more enjoyable. 😊 The pizza has a lot of potentials, especially that crust. I feel like the original recipe must've been a knockout but ours was maybe not executed correctly. Might be worth a little tweak to get it back to its glory days, you know. Also, a little request splurging on a higher quality cheese could take your pies from just okay to "wow"! It's all about that cheesy goodness.

I absolutely love this pizza. Hands down my favorite so far in Miami. However, I noticed the employees wear their masks under their nose. This concerns me. Other than that, perfect service. Great pizza. I just want them to be more conscious of this virus. Updating my review to say that the pizza is not worth the price. It was already overpriced to begin with, but now it's gone higher. I won't come here unless it's a special occasion, and that's maybe. It's a shame because I do love the pizza, but a medium pizza should not be almost 20 dollars.

Was pretty good. Would have received four stars if my order has very correct, ordered an all white pizza and received a margarita pizza instead. The wings unfortunately had absolutely no flavor, but cooked well. Stromboli had way too much onion. Service was amicable

This place used to be a go-to for me, but the food quality has been trending downward. On my last few visits, the pizzas have felt lighter on toppings and overall less satisfying than they used to be. I have come back multiple times hoping they would get that magic back, but each visit has been a bit more disappointing than the last. That said, the service has consistently been friendly and solid. I am leaving this review in hopes things turn around because I want to love this place again, but right now I am not sure I will be back anytime soon.

I have ordered 3 times for the last 3 months and every single time they for got my coke. Carmen took the order and did not write it down on the order, she charged me for it, the delivery was running late so I called and asked Carmen did you send the coke because the delivery guy is lost and called me and said no coke in the order. I said Carmen the truth did you send the coke, yes, she said. She lied. She is a terrible employee and doesn't work up to standards! The delivery guy went back to Johnny's to get my coke and I feel bad because I couldn't tip them, (not their fault) but I canceled the oder, I don't want anything from Johnny's EVER again. If you keep that kind of employees then your standards are bad for business. I don't mind if you are running late, I do mind if you lie and when I call back you put me on hold on purpose. Carmen is rude and a lies.

Went in for lunch and asked for two slices of pizza with extra pepperoni... got home, and I was sad to see there was barely any extra pepperoni... oddly enoigh, the guy told the cashier 3 times! to make sure she didn't charge me for the lunch special and to charge me for two pizzas with "EXTRA" pepperoni.. FOR THIS REASON, this review gets 2 stars.. first time and last time.

They can't mean (NY New York) style pizza? This pizza is mediocre, on a good day. And certainly not NY style, or anything related. Stopped in with my family, and purchased 4 deferent pies. Not one was any good. Only thing relative to NY was the the high price.

I’m a long time lover of Pizza Johnny. Unfortunately, my sister has a gluten allergy. We called Pizza Johnny to ask a simple question which was if they have gluten free pizza dough. The first time we called and asked “Hello! Do you have gluten free pizza dough by any chance?” we were met with a “what? excuse me?” and they hung up the phone. We immediately thought there must have been a mistake and called back. This time we ask the same question and are met with a “no, no, no and no.” to which they hung up the phone again. As much as I love their pizza, I will never eat here again :)

Delivery was in a timely sched. Food was not good. The chicken wings were with lots of sauce,but poor quality. Tasted old. The pizza was a failure. Ordered the 22" with pepperoni ham and pineapple. Horrible telephone service. Sandwiches cost me $20. So called Italian sub had 3 thin slices of meat, no provolone, barely any lettuce or tomato, no sauce or mayo. Just poorly done! Driver was 15 minutes late. $26.49 total for a crappy sandwich. No chips. Nada. No wonder Publix and other sub places are kicking your butts!!!

First of all we ordered caramelized onions and they gave us a ton of regular onions. Also, there was a weird flavor that seemed like soap. And the tomato sauce tastes like a tomato paste out of a can. The crust was soggy too. We were excited to try a true NY style pizza but were extremely disappointed. Don’t order from here. The pasta carbonara lacked favor and left a lot to be desired.

This place used to be good. Ordering online, I arrived on the late side of the window they promised, and it was still 20 minutes late. Items were missing from the package and of course hadn’t even been cooked when I went back, so another 20 minutes wait. There is a big lack of communication between cooks and the young lady at the front. Seems very disorganized. Such a shame.

I have called back to see why I have been left on hold for over 10 minutes and no response back while holding. They mentioned "way busy and under staff." I have continued to order from here because I really like Jonhny Pizza and the taste but leaving Customers on hold for such a long time is unacceptable. Also, the last few times the pizza has not been well cooked after asking several times to please bring the pizza cooked. And lastly, I have told to please bring the garlic rolls with less oil as they soak it where the entire bread is soaked in Oil and bread not well cooked either. Not pleasant. Now again I called and left on hold for over 10 mins. I was going to drive in my car with my phone still on hold waiting for them to come back on the line but it's really not worth my time! MR Johnny sorry but I gave your staff way to many chances. You lost a customer since you opened up. And mind you, this can be at any time of the day.... 🙄🤔 Customer Alex A

The pizza was awful. Half margherita/half meatball ricotta. The margherita half was disappointing, soggy, tomatoes were either from a can or cut up so tiny, they had no flavor. No basil, sauce was terrible and had a particular taste that was just awful. The meatball side was just as soggy, meatballs were lacking and they were a sliver, small blobs of ricotta cheese . I will never ever go back. We also observed food being handled by an older man with no gloves. He actually grabbed some food with his hands a placed in a container to go! Horrible!

Wow. I order from this place all the time for pickup but never for delivery. Tonight, I ordered delivery. Two hours later - my order never showed, I was hung up on twice, no Update on my order , no apology just attitude from one of the workers who was SO unprofessional and told me “sorry not my fault 3 people quit tonight” i ordered through Uber eats but the restaurant had their own staff delivering and they were absolutely so rude hung up on me and Uber eats support so I was refunded in full and my order never showed. Super disappointed

Took my money via the Toast app and now they're out of business. Can't get my money back, or the pizza!

I hadn’t ordered from Pizza Johny’s in a few years. It used to be excellent. This time around I ordered about $50 bucks worth of food over 90+ minutes before closing that never arrived. It kept saying it was arriving soon but nothing. I reached out to the delivery app and they refunded but now I have a houseful of people, including a diabetic, with no dinner on a Saturday night because now everything else is closed. If the restaurant is too busy to fulfill delivery then stop accepting orders.

I had a very disappointing experience at this pizza place today. I placed my order online through their website, which directed me to Seamless. The confirmation said my order would be ready at a certain time, so I went to pick it up. When I arrived, the restaurant had about 3 people waiting, I waited around but no one acknowledged me for several minutes. Eventually, one employee told me someone else was “taking care of me,” even though she had been standing at the counter the entire time without acknowledging me. I told the gentleman no no one is taking care of me yet he said yeah yeah she is. After more waiting, same employee finally said my pizza would be ready in five minutes. I continued to wait, but nothing happened. Then, suddenly, they told me they never received my order at all and insisted I should have placed it directly with them. This was very frustrating because their own website had redirected me to Seamless. To make matters worse, I overheard the staff saying it would take another 30 minutes if they started the order now, and one of them even said, “If she doesn’t like it, refund her.” Umm excuse me?? How unprofessional is that ? Mind you this place is alright not even the best out there but I had promise my toddlers pizza and it was already 8pm! I said go ahead and refund me and I left. I know exactly what happened no one checked the iPad and didn’t see the order not to mention the gentleman was convinced the order came in through grub hub after I showed him PROOF on my email and text message! I had a text message that my order was ready. Either they gave my pizza to the wrong person or clearly these employees have no idea what they are doing. Another note this could have been avoided if I would have been addressed and welcomed from when i walked in. Truly a horrible experience!!! Definitely the new management neeeds a training Overall, the lack of communication within employees, poor customer service, and complete disregard for my time was extremely disappointing. They didn’t even offer free garlic rolls or a free pizza!! I won’t be returning

I honestly do not understand the good reviews— the food was horrible and the service equally as bad. Pizza had zero flavor— sauce is trash. An insult to NY style pizza. And the service is not good. Woman working the register is very rude— directs you to another employee when you ask a question pretending not to understand. Mind you, I speak Spanish as well. And then when you order your food she acts like she’s overwhelmed when you’re specifying how you want your pizza— like crispy. Mind you, I ordered 2 slices of cheese, 1 order of spaghetti and 2 cokes. Not a large order at all, and the place was fairly empty. Legit she either hates her job or maybe she’s a little racist and just didn’t like me, because she was immediately rude to me. Had the food been any good I still wouldn’t return because of the crappy service. But the food was trash too.

Literally just placed an order before reading the reviews from someone else that they are now closed. Same thing happened to me. Placed an order on the toast app- took my money. I’ve been calling and calling. Nothing. Great.. lost my money. This is terrible. Their service had been going down for awhile guess this was it….
