New General Manager began July 2013. Place has made a huge turn around and the quality of food, service, and atmosphere has improved significantly. This guy is very good, holds his employees accountable, and has passion for his job and it shows. Glad to see the significant changes and pleasant atmosphere. Great job!
Always great! Everything. It helps if you speak a little Spanish if you need something. The manager there is always busy helping the staff. I saw a great team. The migas bowl is soooo good; I thought it needed more chips in it, though. I bet I can order it like that next time!
It's lots of good Tex-mex food, fast and sort of inexpensive. It's not the best you'll ever eat but when the kids are hungry, you don't have a long wait. There's more than enough food and it doesn't bust my budget to feed my family.
Hands down the best place I've eaten since being here. The food was excellent, their salsa station is excellent. Jalapeños are fresh and crunchy, tortillas are fresh always, and an excellent side dish if eaten solo. Tons of flavor everywhere, and reasonably priced. Environment is spectacular and colorful. I have nothing but praise for these hard working people.
The food was awesome as always. The chili Verde was great as always except no potatoes this time.
We ate there yesterday, 11.7.24. Food was on point. The carrots cake sizes keep getting smaller and smaller. This used to be the only reason I'd go eat there. My husband actually bought me a piece of carrots cake just because I wanted one, but since the pieces are half the size they used to be, it's not worth the money. Our meals were okay. They were hot and had a good flavor. The girl at the front register was sick and coughing, though. My husband and I barely got over this last week. Hope we don't get sick again. They should offer PTO for those who get sick so they don't have to work. The rest of the workers speak a different Spanish (Cuban or Puerto Rican maybe?) dialect and do not acknowledge customers at all.
Great food, great price, walk up service, nice patio too! (Oh, also a good salsa bar)
This restaurant is always busy. Their food is good and there staff is friendly and helpful. I love the fact that you can pick your own hot, medium hot and very hot sauces. Their carrot cake is wonderful. If you've never been to Rosas's restaurant, this is a place you must try. You'll enjoy the atmosphere and their food.
This location is really good, overall most Rosa's Cafes' are good. I bought a breakfast plate, paid $5.15 and it was definitely worth it lots of food, and good food for low price. Staff was very nice and friendly also. I ordered the spicy sausage and egg plate.
The food was amazing and the service was great! Really good Mexican food and fast. We only waited a few minutes for our order. I ended up coming back and ordering a large lunch for my entire crew!!
Friendly and pleasant staff, food was delicious, and the dinning area was clean.
Real good food for an even better price. I got breakfast plate that cost about $6. That plate anywhere else would of been $10 and up. Very flavory and fulfilling. Went for lunch another time, also a good price and a lot to offer.
Can’t go wrong with taco Tuesday!!! 🌮
Accidentally arrived 15 minutes before closing. Were warmly greeted and served graciously. While we ate quickly, your food will have us returning soon, at a much earlier time. The food was delicious! Thank you!
Great mexican natural food. Not processed from cans. But the breakfasts big but awful
The food was delicious! And the service was Amazing! The cashier was friendly and very helpful. The food was so so good. We are in town visiting family. Highly recommend!! 5 stars
Visited Rosa’s for the first time on a Saturday and absolutely fell in love with this place. Great place with awesome prices. Staff was polite and welcoming. Food came out hot and fresh. Definitely a great place to grab some lunch or dinner.
Had a wonderful tasteful breakfast here! Not at all to crowded! Place was well clean. Staff were very kind when asked a question. There is no handicap doorway but handicap parking. Good was hot and order was immediately made ready! Prices were a bit high
Don’t understand the negative reviews, I have eaten here a few times and the service and food are always good. Yes does it get busy of course, but they do an excellent job of keeping it flowing, it’s kind of like fast food Mexican food with a large dining area. I have never had a bad meal here, today I had the Fajita salad and the steak was amazingly tender and delicious, they have a great menu with lots of food choices for al food types. Great service and atmosphere, and love coming here.
Food was out before I'd retrieved my salsa options and taken them to our table. Sopapilla were a little flimsy... But who cares when you douse them in honey!
Rosas is what it is, usually crowded and hard to find a table but food is always good and the empty tables are always clean. Sopapillas are a must so don’t forget to get an order (or two, or three). Staff are usually friendly, not overly but never rude so that’s a plus. You know why you go when you go, busy spot, quick food and pretty decent food. And yeah the kids love it! So not saying anything anyone else already knows, get in and get out and be full and be merry.
Food was ok. I wanted pork tamales but they were out and I had to settle for chicken. The staff barely speaks English. The employees working the counter / register barely speak any English and if you try to talk to any of the staff cleaning the dining room they just stare at you. The dining room is typically full of loud / screaming kids.
The tea is the best! I stop by every morning for my tea. 😋 this evening I stopped by and order a kids meal, a combination burrito and a beef fajita burrito and it was tummy!!
I was surprised I could eat for under 10 dollars the drink cost more than the burrito. Lesson learned
Food was pretty fast and we were seated quickly as well, even though they were packed and the drive thru was completely packed. The food was good, but the kitchen looked a bit like a war in the trenches with food and grease spilled all over the floor as everyone scrambled to get orders out.
The food is great here, just a bit crowded with the table arrangements. They were really busy but the service was still good.
We go after the rush so it's quiet and clean. The food is usually better than it was today. I think there was a different manager there because everyone was moving slower and chillin'. Everyone is usually hustling. The food was okay, though. We went last Saturday and it was great.
Fast and funny. Funny people working there. Good attitude and competitive
It was ok for a fast food joint, nothing to special, chill environment.
Great local Mexican restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Very generous portions, hot fresh tortillas!!!
Decrease staff some months ago. Long waits. They used to have multiple order clerks, sometimes 2 or 3. Now only one clerk servicing a long line. We like to eat here, but are tired of the long wait. This is supposed to be fast food, but this cafe fails to provide decent service.
Rosas is just not the same. The fajitas are all veggies and like 3 pieces of string meat. The nachos are a plate of chips and a drizzle of sauce. The environment has drastically changed. No one can communicate with you.
I'm I gluten-free person, and I did not find a lot of options, the menu is very hard to read it's on a screen and it changes to pictures and then goes back to the menu and then go back to pictures. They didn't have a menu that you could go and sit down and look at. Not very many options for kids. Their Dr Pepper did not taste like Dr Pepper I ordered burritos and they were okay tasting. I saw a medium and hot salsa, but didn't see a lot of labels on the other selection for sides. I love the decor is bright, colorful and welcoming. The cashiers were very friendly.
Was told that they ran out of what I ordered so they were gonna have to cook some more. 30 minutes later still nothing had to ask how much longer was a rude response and finally received my food after that.
The last 2 times I have eaten at rosas, I noticed the ground beef taste different, it has a really terrible aftertaste. I had to ask other family members if they were tasting it too and they agreed.
They keep giving g less good and raising the prices, and their staff hates to help when you're at the pickup area. They happily ignore you until you wave them down and loudly ask for help.
I get 3 #14 almost everyday. The main complaint is there is no consistency with the portions and at $5 it's rather frustrating. One burrito will barely have 2 slices of meat other one will be pouring queso out the bottom. Quality control is absent when they are rushing orders
All the Rosas in town are hit or miss. One day the taco shells are fresh and you get a good serving of food. The next the salsa tastes weird and your lucky if they put cheese on your nachos.
I have to say that service was really bad in the drive-thru. The line took forever to get through, which is not typical of this chain. And when I got to the window the person at the window literally shoved my food out to me and never said another word to me. Please remind your employees that sometimes people want to ask for things like condiments, etc. Or at least say thank you to them without the window being shut in their face.
Food was ok. I was looking for real authentic Mexican food as the name of the restaurant attracted me to try it. It tasted more like Tex-Mex food to me. Aside from that you really don’t get the service of a server/waiter after you get your food order.
Fooled me once shame on me. Bought 2 burritos and 2 tacos. Exact same portion and size. Only difference was the price. Went to ask why they sell it like that she said that’s just what they do. Don’t buy their burritos buy their tacos 😂
Drive thru takes forever. They shove your food at you once you get to the window. I'm not asking for a conversation, but a "hi" and "thank you" isn't too much to ask for. Got home and 1 meal wasn't in the bag. I should know to check before i leave...it's not the first time this happened. 3 stars because they fixed my missing food quickly and the lady at the walk up was nice. Best part of the whole experience. :( Update-- down a star due to my order being wrong again, even after catching attitude from the girl taking orders in the drive, because she misunderstood me and I had to have her correct my order before pulling up. I'll try the Andrews Highway location from now on.
We ordered a kids enchiladas plate, and adult enchilada plate, and order of combination nachos. They got the order wrong. We asked for queso on childs plate, they gave us red sauce. We asked if we could have a small complimentary of cheese and they charged us almost $5.00 for it. The food on all the plates tasted terrible. Something was off. We couldn't figure out if it was the rice or beans. So very disappointed and not be going back!
I’ve been disappointed recently with Rosa’s which is sad because I love Rosa’s and I go eat there often. Last time I went through the drive through they gave me the wrong order 5 times. I had to circle back 5 times. Just now I decided to get Rosa’s again and I always order the same thing. I got my food correct my two of my crunchy tacos were lettuce only. And the last taco from my plate had little no meat. Not to meantion it was messy. was It was too late for me to go back by the time I checked. My sweet tea is also rotten which keeps happening. MAKE SURE TO CHECK UR FOOD. I payed 40$ and I don’t feel it was worth it, for 10 more dollars my partner and I could’ve gotten a heavy steak bowl from chipotle.
2nd visit at the chain and it was nothing but disappointment. ordered the smothered burrito and a beer. first off... beer was almost 6.00 .. I didn't realize I was at a night club??? and when I got burrito.. the whole thing was like warm at best. tortilla was cold and chewy, filling was slightly warm as was the topping. .. I think I'm their effort of speed... the food quality is sucking. .. my thoughts.. be prepared when you go that no visit may be the same twice.. and honestly.. the first one wasn't that great either. I likely won't come back... waaayyyyy too many other choices nearby
Every time I use the drive thru they either jip me on salsa or forget it entirely, even after asking for it explicitly when placing my order. Asked for extra salsa in the drive through today and they gave me one of the big ones in the bag. I was happy until I opened it and saw it's barely half full. You guys rationing your salsa or something? One time is a mistake, but this has been the last 3 times I've been to this location. It's not just this location, the one by Walmart off I-20 does the same thing.
I only go here because I like the fajita plate but I’m gonna stop going because the service is not that great I always ask for light ice and I never get that and the plate has been really skimped out lately for the amount I pay I rather go to a real Mexican restaurant. Also I don’t know why the girls tend to always be giving people ugly looks. There is only one lady there that has been attentive and nice she wears glasses I don’t know her name but she looks like the manager she is usually on the register, the drive threw crew is mean.
I've visited each Rosas in Midland and can say this is the worst one. The service is okay but the issue is the employees. Me & my husband stopped by for dinner and all the employees but one ignored us. Everyone was looking at us but didn't want to take our order. I overheard another employee in the drive thru telling the manager "your not going to take their order?" several times before she walked away. Everyone else was too busy screaming at eachother. The sitting area and restrooms were also disgusting. Trash everywhere and trashcans overflowing.
just kind of disappointing when i spent $40+ on food to open it and it’s all crumbled, broken, and thrown in there. i ordered 3 chicken tamales to open it to nasty tamales and… 1 1/2 tamales??? not even 3??? the 1 1/2 broken and crumbled into one husk. everything else was mediocre at best.
Live a few minutes away. Went at 8:30 am on a Sunday. Order ultimate breakfast taco. The tacos are wrapped in foil to keep warm and they were cold. The shredded cheddar they put on the tacos wasn't even melted. Last time I eat here.
I don't like to give bad reviews, but this is the worst meal I've had all year. Steak is way over cooked, could only eat half of what I paid for. I'm hungry and I'm throwing food away. Also, literally every single table in the restaurant has old plates on them. I've been here an hour and nothing has been cleaned. Hate to do it but this is ridiculous.
No salsa with my chips and salsa. Asked if there was plastic wear, said it was in the bag. Got to hotel 10 miles away, no way to eat my food. Do better.
I have no idea what the food is like. They were too busy talking to each other to take care of me.
The last few times I’ve been to a Rosa’s in midland the food was terrible. Couldn’t even cut my beef enchilada tortilla with a knife finally gave up. Used to be our favorite place and we would eat there 2-3 time per week. Now it’s our option if there is absolutely no other place to go.
Typically love this place, but the past two times recently have been bad service. First time two weeks ago our order and almost every order we saw being picked up was wrong. Now, tonight, wife waits in the line only to find out they have NO MEAT before dinner rush. She left. What's going on? Update, reducing from two stars to one. Sat through 30 minute drive through line to be told there was no beef and no beans left. Trip prior to that completely forgot tortillas and didn't have any roasted jalapeños in the fajita tray. Service has gone downhill.
Very unprofessional. Our number was paged and went to get out food but it wasn’t even ready. Waited 10 mins for my food because it wasn’t ready. We asked them why page if it’s not ready? Well they couldn’t answer us so they had to find someone else to answer us and the lady told us they paged the numbers early so it looks good on them. Well it doesn’t look good to have a line of guest waiting for their food after they been paged. There was like 5 other guest standing around waiting for their food. I understand that they want to be in a certain time frame but wasting guest time waiting for their meals isn’t the solution.
I ordered the beef fajitas plate. I got three small pieces of beef and half the plate had lettuce and tomato and cheese and sour cream. The beans looked like a dog threw up and the dried up rice that had zero flavor small portions mind you. Then the employees were giving out wrong orders and making wrong plates for customers. There wasn’t even that many customers in the restaurant. lol restaurant no more like an upscale Taco Bell. I’m not even exaggerating. The price for that ridiculous food and a $5 tea was 29 dollars. The salsa bar 😂 holy smokes more like a tomato sauce buffet with nats and flies. No and whoever posted that they have homemade tortillas is dead wrong. What they have here is paper thin tortillas from the heb bakery
We have given this location way to many chances to get better. EVERY single time our nachos look like they came from the bottom of the case, all crumbled up. Our food is NEVER fresh from this place. We ask for salsa, they don’t give it to us. We order a steak fajita burrito, we get 2 small pieces of steak. My daughter just ordered a chicken fiesta salad and it had THREE small one inch pieces of chicken. Out of an order for 12 people, only 3 people didn’t complain. (They only ordered tortillas and beans). My husband has lived in Midland his whole life and refuses to step foot on this property. We will take our $60 for our little family of 4 somewhere that actually puts forth the effort. Rosas Restaurant prices for sub par fast food service and quality. Most overrated place in Midland. Save your money, time, trouble and frustration. I would rate this a zero if I could. Never again.
They always forget something. Double check your order.
Ordered a breakfast plate the other morning. I ended up throwing the entire plate away. It was horrible. Refried beans tasted and looked like canned chili. The eggs and steak were full of water and covered in WAY too much low quality cheese. They had asked me if I wanted my potatoes “spicy” so I said yes. My soggy half cooked potatoes were tossed in a cold picante sauce. Everything was just terrible. Hope they can do better for their customers. I personally wont be back.
1st and last time eating at this place. Food was not that great, got the double meat combo family platter, the dish comes with roasted jalapeños but these were burnt burnt, I mean completely charred. I tried asking for new ones and I got an attitude in return that they were all like that. I asked the worker to make new ones and not burn them, all I got was more attitude and refusal to make things right. At this point my food is paid for and given to me and that's the extent of their service, once you get your food no matter what's wrong with it, they don't care, it's already paid for.
This is an absolute extra poor experience. I do not bother with leaving these BUT this was very bad. I am being as nice as possible. Do better, training staff and set a bar for fast foods.
Horrible value for your money. You're better off getting a five-layer burrito from Taco Bell. That's about twice the size for about $0.40 less.
I ordered a Chile Verda Plate that was served cold. When I asked to speak with Manager Ivan, he gave us a confused stare and disregarded our concerns. His reaction was odd. When he was called over, he had a blank expression. My sister's taco plate was also unsatisfactory, with excessive lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes, but no beef. This location needs significant improvement. I saw other patrons complaining, and Ivan ignored them, pretending to be busy. I am thoroughly disappointed in this location. Cleanliness unsatisfactory.
I have now been there twice in about 3 weeks and each time I’ve had to get a refund. They will work the drive thru but will not serve food to the inside guest. We waited over 30 minutes for our food last night only to get a refund and go somewhere else. They had 5 people working drive thru and no one on inside food. I won’t be back to this location
This Rosa’s has gone down hill severely. Over the past several months anytime we go our entire order is WRONG. They forget items we order AND PAY FOR!!! Asked for no tomato’s. Tomato’s we’re on my salad, they are EVERY TIME! We asked for beef fajita and didn’t get that. Asked for jalapeños, they weren’t in the bag nor our salsa. This is trash and very unprofessional. The girl at the window that took our order acted like she didn’t want to be there. Sad excuse for such a reputable business known the the WTX area.
Went and picked up a gallon of sweet tea today (among other things) around 4:30 and there was mold floating in the tea. We didn't notice when we picked it up because it gets shaken up when you buy it and get it passed through the take out window. We put it in the fridge and opened it up a little later. Literal chunks of mold floated out when poured into a cup. Disgusting. The smell of the tea was absolutely horrible, as you would imagine. Place probably needs an inspection.
This saddens me, but I’ve had enough. It seems to me that the ladies who work in the morning absolutely hate their job. Not friendly and goodness why can’t my tacos be fully wrapped? I look in my bag and ingredients are everywhere. I hope things get better for your am shift….
Please taste your own dishes. You put just enough salt in your dishes for someone to have a heart attack!!! Enchiladas were pure salt, hard tortilla and a pound of cheese, don’t get me started on the countless times they’ve messed up my order. Do better Rosas!!! I’d give this place a 0 stars if I could.
I understand they need help but not one single person speaks proper English. They are always messing up our order because they can’t understand what we are asking and they have no clue how to speak English. This is happening all over Midland and it’s getting frustrating.
Don't even bother with take out. Over the past year they have gotten my order wrong every single time I have tried to order something. Add this to the skyrocketing price and it just isn't something I can recommend. Mainly leaving this review as a reminder to myself not to try again in a few months.
The atmosphere is quite pleasant; however, we have noticed a decline in both the food and service recently. The quality and presentation of the food have unfortunately been unsatisfactory.
They never get my order right. I ordered a taco plate no beans double rice, the guy repeated it back to me and when I got home I had beans and no lettuce or tomatoes on my tacos. I rather drive to another location.
Will NEVER go back!!! Victoria aka vicki needs to be fired!!! I have never been so disrespected in my life in costumer service! Especially when my family spends at least 200 dollars a month to eat there! Lost a loyal one today!
Rosas used to be really good, but now its awful. I have tried many locations and the food is gross at every single one. I got the chicken soft taco plate and the tacos were oozing with pink juice even through the foil wrapper. I will not ever be going back.
The screwed my order up. They repeated it back to me, asked if it looked correct on the screen (which it did), even double checked the receipt to make sure it was rang up right and they screwed it up. Of course I didn’t notice until I got home. I called them to see how we were going to make it right. First time I called it went to voicemail. Second time I called a lady put me on hold. I waited on hold until I drove back to the restaurant, complained in person, had them remake my food, drive back home, and transfer the food onto an actual plate before I gave up and hung up the phone. Not only are they not capable of reading but the customer service is terrible too.
Their food is horrible. I had beef enchiladas with red sauce and the only was to make them passable to eat was to pour Pico De Gallo and salsa all over them. Their rice was okay but not hot, and their chips aren't good either. Tositos chips taste better than theirs. We got our food within about 10 minutes of ordering it so service wasn't too bad, but they messed up my order and I had to get it fixed. Overall, this is second Rosa's I have been to, and the second crappy experience with the food. I won't be going back to any Rosa's.
First off, customer service was awful. No greetings. No smiles. Obviously most all employees are miserable. Second, the food was not great. We ordered chips and queso and the queso wasn't even warm. They need to hire another busser because just one guy can't move fast enough during a rush to get tables cleaned so that more guests can be seated. Definitely not a sanitary place. Saw employees playing on their phones, touching their faces and clothes with their gloves on and then proceeded to handle food. I do not recommend this location.
Went thru the drive thru to get some Taco Tuesday and a slice of carrot cake. Paid for order and came home. Took cake and tortillas out of bag and they were a mess. These people or kids that work the window either don't care or are not trained properly. I will be going the other Rosa's from now on. This is not the first time I have had issues at this drive thru.
