We had a fantastic Father's day lunch. The fried mushrooms were the best I've ever had. Everyone loved their steaks, cooked perfectly. Lauren was an excellent waitress. We drove in from San Angelo and can't wait to go back.

Our evening started out terribly at Logan's Roadhouse so we walked across the parking lot to Saltgrass Steak house and was seated right away. Only sat for a couple minutes until our lovely waiter came over. He was able to keep a check on our table with out asking if we needed something 5 times. It's nice to have your meal without having to try and say your fine with your mouth full. Our drinks and food came quickly and was amazing. I very much enjoyed the whole experience.

Saltgrass is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants, and it consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. They serve some of the best steaks in town. I want to take a moment to highlight one of their standout waitresses, Libby. It's refreshing to encounter someone who genuinely enjoys their job, as it adds a vibrant energy to the atmosphere. Her quick, attentive service and friendly demeanor elevate the entire experience. I highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

We’ve been in Midland a couple years now. We’ve come to saltgrass probably 4 times now. Each time the food was pretty good. But last night 1/8/23 around 6:30 was wonderful. We had the best service and food was amazing overall. Briana was our server and took such great care of us. I wish I had gotten the managers name because he was amazing as well! My son and I came here to eat for lunch. Our server was Kennadi. She was very professional and made sure we had everything we needed. My son had the chicken tenders with truffle fries and I had the tenderloin tips with Mac and cheese. We also had the gluten free dinner bread and fried pickles and peppers it was delicious! I generally steering clear of chains, but I wanted pork chips and when I searched Saltgrass came up. Sure glad I did as it was phenomenal. Juicy, tender and flavorful. Salad cold and crisp. Mushroom order was huge. Shawn my server was great and I appreciate professionalism like that.

I talked to Dora the manager because there was a mix up in my order and she fixed it up as soon as she heard about it. She took care of my family and I for the rest of the night and did an amazing job. We will definitely be coming back soon.

Sunday at 12:30 in Midland…. Every restaurant is a virtual waiting hell, right? Nope… trot into saltgrass and see what perfect service is! They use a team approach and delivered up a top notch lunch. I’ll go back again and again. Susana was our waitress and one of the best I’ve seen. Try them out!

I went to Saltgrass last night for the first time ever and had an amazing experience! My boyfriend and I had a server named Alexis B. At the midland Texas location. She was super attentive and friendly. She came over to our table and told us she wasn’t technically supposed to be our server but went out of her way to serve us. She answered all of our questions about the food thoroughly. She checked on us frequently, asked us if we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything. When I asked for a recommendation on an alcoholic beverage she recommended a popular drink and made sure we had everything we needed. We talked with her a little bit as well. Overall this was the best experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. Anytime we come back we want her as our server!

Hands down way better than the one in Lubbock! My husband's steak and my steak were perfect. Our experience in Lubbuck Saltgrass was a no stars. ( read my reviews for that saltgrass) But Midland redeemed the Franchise for us! We'll be back.

Our server Heather was really great , we got off to a rough start and our appetizers took quite a bit . She was so apologetic we knew it wasn't her fault so we were understanding. She did tell her manager Dora as soon as she heard she let us know they were sorry and within a couple minutes our food was out even our 2nd appetizer. We were coming from Pittsburgh on our way to Big Bend National Park, drove by this place, and decided to stop — so glad we did! I had never heard of it before, but it ended up being a highlight of the trip. We sat at the bar and had the best service. We planned a long, leisurely lunch at Saltgrass on Christmas Day, and the experience couldn’t have been better. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted, and after telling them we had reservations, Tara took us to our table right away. As I sat down, I brushed a light fixture with my head, and Tara jokingly warned me—making a comment about my height and her lack of height. That little moment immediately put us all at ease. Our server, Cona, arrived shortly after. We explained that we planned to take our time—starting with appetizers, then salads, followed by entrées, and eventually dessert. Lunch unfolded exactly as planned. Despite the restaurant being very busy, Cona was incredibly attentive. We never waited for refills or anything else, and every course was delivered with care. We were never rushed, and it truly felt like she went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of. I don’t own a restaurant—and I don’t want to—but if I did, I’d fill it with Conas and Taras. They made our Christmas Day lunch memorable, and we’ll absolutely be back.

Overall, a great experience. Everyone had a steak (different types), all of which were pretty juicy and cooked exactly how we asked. A noteworthy aspect of the meal was the flavored teas. I had a strawberry tea that was exceptionally good. Also, their house BBQ sauce is great. Our server was very nice and attentive too. He made small talk, got everything we requested, and boxed our leftovers for us. Definitely will return.

This was our first time eating here and the service was great! We arrived for lunch and the restaurant was pretty full but we were seated in less than 10 minutes. I believe our waitress was named Ruby and she was very attentive. We ordered the queso for our appetizer and it was delicious. Our food and drinks were on the table in no time at all. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. It was so juicy and tender I could cut it with a butter knife. The seasoning was on point so adding steak sauce would have been an insult.

We came in with not a lot of people in the place, the staff are friendly yet they missed the order somehow, the starter wasn't on the table until we reminded them. The waitress didn't care at all.. I don't like complaining but this was really a bad meal. It was my birthday yesterday and I have always enjoyed salt grass, but I will never visit this one again. I wanted purple onion with my salad which I have always had and waitress said those onions aren't for my dinner salad but only for big salads, which was weird. Waited for salt for salad for 15 minutes minimum. She eventually brought me some onions. Got my steak first then she brought out my bake potato soup, the soup tasted exactly as it looked. It was awful. The steak was just ok. It was just disappointing.

We have been here many times and for whatever reason the service we got on Monday was lacking, we sat at a table in the bar area and our server came to our table took our order. We ordered the crab dip for an appetizer and my wife had the fish and chips and I had the Italian with sweet potato tots, the food was great and loved the tots. But our server never checked back with us and just dropped our bill, did not ask if we wanted anything else like dessert etc. it was not great service at all and it’s not the first time the service has lacked here. I mean simple things like dropping the food off and asking can I get you anything else? Then at least check back once and see how everything is tasting, refill waters the basics. Food makes up for the poor service.

Pickup order system is horrible and has been horrible. It’s always too crowded so people order online the they can’t do that either. Have overworked bartenders trying to do drinks and pickups at same time. So then the people picking up orders crowd the bar, a walkway to the bar area, and a table crammed right next to it. Pissing everyone there off. Totally inefficient and bad customer experience.

The waitress was very friendly, but it took a long time for the food to come, it was poorly cooked, and the starter was not served. If you don't let her know, I will never return.

Service was terrible... Ordered To-go, went to pick up order and Kept getting ignored. Finally brought food out after 20 mins. We order 2 meals. Steak with sides and a fried chicken salad. The porterhouse steak was full of tough fat in every bite. The chicken in the salad was dry and hard like it had been sitting out. Both meals need utensils to eat, only gave utensils for 1 meal. Terrible all the way around.

Horrible. Waited 20 minutes at our table and never acknowledged. I had to get up and tell the hostess to get us someone. Waitress came 5 minutes later. We ordered at 6:40. Food came out an hour later. My wife’s steak was wrong and even the waitress acknowledged it. Midland is full of bad service and I expect it anytime I go out to eat but this was the worst.

The food was decent, but it took forever to get to us. Our server seemed way more interested in chatting with the table behind us than actually doing her job. She’d pop over once in a while to check on us, but when we asked for hot sauce, she never came back with it. I mean, it’s just hot sauce, not a huge deal, but still, she really should’ve focused more on serving us instead of chatting it up with the other table.

Inefficient service. If you go to pick up a DoorDash or Uber order, they don't pay attention to you. Your order is never ready; sometimes they show you it's ready, but it's not. I think they lack coordination.

Awesome service and really great food as usual......however against the laws of Texas for health and safety regulations, dogs are welcomed with open arms!! So if you want a great steak sitting next to a non service dog indoors than this is your place!!

Had the "New York" steak. Pretty sure it was fake meat of some sort. 3D printed or those meat glue steaks. Terrible whatever it was. The ribeye the other person had was normal, mine was not.

FIRST AND LAST TIME VISIT!!! We order online food to take out on Sunday night 5-25. Email states that food will be ready @ 5:40. Husbands goes in to check on food. You have to go into the restaurant now, by the way, they no longer offer curbside pickup up. Customer service should always be #1 no matter if you are a online customer or dine in. He had to go to the bar. Stood there, the employee's stood there talking and chatting it up. Never ever ask him can I help you. He finally walked over to them she snotted off yeah can I help you. Just for real...this is missing poor service. He comes out and says it's not ready. So I called. As you can see from my screenshot, I'm still on hold...8 minute call...and it 6:06....food still not ready. What a messed up place, save you time and money... do not come here.

So during my dining at the bar, not even a busy night, I went to the restroom (3 min max.) and came back and all of my food was gone, and there was a clean placemat and someone sitting in my seat! Dumbfounded I was wondering do I pay the bill? Where's my food? It was explained to me by the mgr it was a miscommunication, After he walked away, I had to pay my bill and sacrifice the food I ordered. Where is the customer service. This happened approx 7:15 p.m. tonight check the cameras. Thanks for making me feel left out. Just letting you know Saltgrass thank you in advance. And I paid the whole enotire bill!! Nothing discounted nothing paid for your mgr is an absolute 0 at customer service. Have a great life. Not coming back

I ordered the grilled chicken from Uber Eats. Unfortunately, they served it in a styrofoam container and the chicken was extremely bitter. I couldn’t even finish it. To make matters worse, they didn’t even provide butter with my bread. On top of that, the side salad was filled with rotten lettuce that was equally bitter.

HORRIBLE and completely UNPROFESSIONAL! The only reason I chose 1 star is because I had to choose something. Me and my family literally just left after trying to have an early Valentine's Day dinner together! We were sat at a table near the kitchen as staff talked and walked past us while we were waiting 20 minutes. No one came to get our order or even stop at our table. However, a group of men who looked to have just finished working entered, were seated and waitress immediately attended to them! Too bad for you, my husband is a Supervisor in the Midstream business and uses your restaurant for work luncheons and business dinners. Our money is just as green and just as good! Unfortunately, for you, you lost our family business as well as his companies. He called to remove you from their restaurant list as we drove to El Jefe! Where we were welcomed and attended too kindly as soon as we walked in! Take your business elsewhere! I recommend El Jefe! 👏👏👏👏

We visited Saltgrass on 12/11/25 with a party of 7. Upon arrival, the hostess told us the wait would be about 40 minutes, which we expected due to our party size. Unfortunately, we were not seated until an hour and a half later. After being seated, we placed our order and clearly explained to the server that one of the kids’ meals needed cheese melted on the fries. She wrote it down, but returned about 10 minutes later asking us again how we wanted the fries prepared. We then waited another hour and a half with no food. We eventually noticed our meals sitting against the wall for about 15 minutes while both the server and manager appeared confused. When the food was finally brought out, it was completely cold. The server admitted she had entered the kids’ fries incorrectly and said they would need to remake them. At that point, we asked to speak with the manager. The manager (wearing a pink outfit, who never introduced herself) showed no apology or empathy. She simply said, “Well, it’s up to you, we can refund you or remake it.” After waiting nearly 3 hours total, being served cold food, and facing another long wait, that response was unacceptable and unprofessional. We chose to leave. We were not willing to pay for a 7-person meal after such poor service and treatment. We are Landry’s Select members since 2015, and this was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. Extremely disappointing, especially from management.

I’ve been to the Odessa location multiple times, dine in & to go. No problems, food was always great. First time ordering food at the Midland location & our steaks were overcooked & barely warm. I ordered 2 porterhouse steaks cooked the same way (medium rare) Took them to go & ate them in the parking lot so there wasn’t much time for them to cook longer in the container. Steak was flavorful but overcooked & not as enjoyable. I would’ve went back in to have them remade but I already waited almost an hour for my original order. Our tortilla soup was extremely bland as well, Mac & cheese was ok. Not sure if this was an off night or this location just isn’t great. An unfortunate waste of my time & $100.

Our server was very off putting from the introduction. I’m not sure what was going on behind the scenes, but after another member of the team dropped off our food, our waitress never visited the table to follow up. Our waitress walked past our table at least 5 times after the food was dropped off and my wife and I ended up sharing my water cup because she never got a refill on hers. Eventually another member of the team approached us to refill our water, we then asked for the check. We inquired where our waitress had been at, and we were told she was sent home. The manager was on the dining room floor, but never came by to let us know our waitress was sent home, nor did she assign another team member to take over. At the end the manager was at the host stand as we were exiting along with 2 hostesses, they did not wish us a good night or asked how everything went. It’s my opinion that the service was unprofessional and it’s quite crazy to not receive quality service when you go to a Landry’s establishment.
