Opiniones de Kirin Mountain View
We were celebrating our Holiday Get Together with my best friends. We decided to try Kirin Chinese Fusion restaurant because we were craving dim sum and Chinese food. My wife and I brought our 2.5 year old son with us and we had a table for about 10 adults. Man were we so impressed by the dim sum and Chinese food quality! Everything was made fresh in-house and service was top notch. In South Bay near san Jose, most Chinese restaurants you get either good service or good food but you’ll never get both because most waitresses/waiters in our Asian culture do not acknowledge your requests all the time. Here at Kirin, they have amazing service and high quality food! The Peking duck , dim sum, dumplings, chao fun, noodles, and fried crab were 🔥🔥. You know it’s a good time when your son is busy eating so you can enjoy quality time catching up with your childhood friends. Can’t wait to take my parents here for a weekend lunch / dinner date! High recommend Kirin Chinese Fusion Restaurant!
New ownership is so good!! I think her name was Fanny, but she was so nice and personable. The dim sum at Kirin Restaurant is excellent and honestly better than what you will find in East San Jose. Everything tasted fresh from the har gow to the siu mai and the portions were generous. The restaurant has a warm family style atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and welcome and it is perfect for sharing dishes and taking your time. Service was friendly and attentive which added to the overall experience. Definitely a great spot for quality dim sum with a cozy family feel.
I had an amazing dining experience at kirin house The food was absolutely outstanding — the seafood was incredibly fresh, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and every dish was beautifully presented. My personal favorites were the prawns and lobster, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for gatherings with family and friends. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. If you’re looking for authentic flavors, generous portions, and a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely worth five stars!
Got to try this place recently and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. Great family style meal and everything we had was delicious. Especially loved the fried crab and roast duck. Service was very friendly. I will be back!!!
An amazing find! Honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu; my favorites were the lobster and the sizzling beef. The lobsters and crab are literally fresh out of tank! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the entire space feels like an intimate family restaurant. Will definitely be coming back!
Very authentic and delicious Chinese food. We ordered their lunch specials which include soup, rice and a spring roll. The soup was great, very flavorful with a little bit of a kick to it. As our mains we ordered the Mongolian beef and the broccoli beef. I have to say that the Mongolian beef was one of the very best I've ever had. The sauce was absolutely scrumptious, incredibly rich and flavorful. The beef and broccoli was good but nothing compared to the Mongolian beef. Not knowing they included one in the lunch specials, we ordered the spring roll appetizer which honestly was not my favorite. I'd definitely recommend it and will be coming back soon.
Our family lunch with banquet dishes and dim sum was delicious, sumptuous and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, our group of 10 adults and three children was very well taken care of. No matter what we requested, the staff would respond promptly with smiles. I think we have found our future family get together venue.
Ordered 3 lunch specials each came with an egg roll, soup. Ordered 2 dim sum, beef rice roll and bbq pork rice roll. Nice looking and nice and shiny
4 of us had a fantastic dinner even though this restaurant is more popular for Dim Sum. Absolutely excellent food and extremely friendly, fast and efficient service. The Cantonnese cuisine was perfect.
The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The walnut shrimp was delicious, and the portion size was very satisfying. If you're in search of decent Chinese cuisine, this is the place to go.
I recently visited Kirin Restaurant in Mountain View, which has been newly renovated. The Cantonese dim sum here is really good. The shrimp dumplings and shumai have excellent fillings with bouncy shrimp meat. The shumai are particularly impressive in size, almost double compared to others. The black truffle shumai is quite unique and worth trying for truffle lovers. Among the steamed items, I really enjoyed the spinach dumplings and chicken feet, both of which are flavorful and have great textures. The turnip cake is delicious whether stir-fried with XO sauce or pan-fried. I highly recommend the rice rolls with green onion and dried shrimp, which also have a bit of preserved radish for added texture. It’s a personal favorite of mine. The stir-fried beef chow fun is a must-try! It has a great wok hei, is not greasy, and perfectly seasoned. The noodles are distinct and not broken, making it incredibly tasty. Lastly, the Hong Kong-style milk tea is also quite good, with a strong tea flavor and a slight sweetness (which I personally love). For those who prefer less sweetness, you can ask the server to add less condensed milk when you order. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great Cantonese flavors!
So glad they've reopened the dining room. Love their food here. This is our go to Chinese restaurant. Very generous portions. Awesome as we'll have more for dinner again.
Our first experience today July 20, 2024 as out-of-towners. This restaurant was recommended by local famil members.

Very delicious Chinese food with friendly staff! We came on for a Thursday dinner and the staff were very attentive which added to the cozy atmosphere. We ordered 4 dishes and their signature fried rice. They were all amazing and the portions were very generous. Glad to have found this gem in Santa Rosa and we will be sure to come back!
We held a reception at Kirin for 50 people and everyone was very pleased with the food and the service was very attentive. The lobster, soup, fish and scallops dishes were all very good. My friends and I will certainly be coming back.
Came with a group for a birthday dinner and it was a really good experience. The staff and service was friendly and top notch. The food was made fresh and hot. Everything was very tasty!

This restaurant has been in Mountain view for decades, like a landmark. It has recently been renovated. We, tried both the set course for 2, the grouper for 2 course, as well as set course for 4 and group dinner. The lobster, cod fillets with vegetables, tofu and vegetable dishes, fish soup are all delicious. Food is consistently good in quality and it has good price performance. This is a great choice for home style family meals.
Food is average but quite expensive. For example, self 6 Safeway fried chicken wings for 15 dollars. Funny that the waitress told us to be careful of the hot egg waffles and claimed it's just cooked. We immediately found that it's actually cold. We asked another waiter about it and they told us it's expected because they had to air dry it to be crispy.

The food was very disappointing. It completely lacked any flavor. Lemon chicken was mostly breeding not much chicken and no flavor. Broccoli chicken seemed like chicken was steamed and no flavor. kung poa chichen did not even taste like chicken and seemed like boiled chicken. The only good thing was steamed rice.

Welp, no reason to go here anymore. The new owners got rid of many of my go-to dishes and removed the best (probably most expensive) ingredients from the remaining ones. We have been regulars since before the pandemic, so this feels like the end of an era. Will have to find a new Americanized Chinese in the area, which was a bear of a chore in the first place (the west coast is crawling with too-sweet Americanized Chinese restaurants for this former east coaster, so the search was a minefield the first time around).

I placed an order using DoorDash or ordered chicken chow mein, sweet-and-sour pork and hot and sour soup. I didn’t get chicken chow mein. I got Pancit, not chow mein. I ordered hot and sour soup, so why do they call it hot and sour. And the sweet-and-sour pork the breading was so mushy and I don’t know what it is with their sweet-and-sour sauce cause that didn’t taste like normal sweet-and-sour sauce. 10 thumbs down on this one.
