Visiting la cheve, I totally enjoyed the food, I had green chilaquiles with two sunnyside up eggs and cafe de la holla, chilaquiles were so good, the green salsa was kind of spicy, omg, and the Cafe de la holla so tasty had alot flavor. The staff was friendly and kind, and the service was above and beyond. ☆I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE☆

One of our favorite spots. La Cheve has a great atmosphere, the breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog to the outside area. Definitely a go-to for us whenever we’re in Napa!

Yes, there's a wait time but it's worth it! Loved that I could order drinks while we waited. Food was very good. We had live music and overall a great time

Amazing amazing place!! We came in from out of town with some friends and this will definitely be a place we come to every time we visit! The staff was super friendly and everything we ordered was amazing. I got the mollete, my husband got the asada con huevos and my friend got the torta planchada. Everything was incredible and the café de olla was just right. We got some pastries that were delicious too and love the look and feel of the place. Can’t wait to visit again and come back!

Great Mexican food and wide selection of good beers too. The salsa was on point and the blue corn chips were amazing. You have to enter and place an order at the register, take your number and find a seat. The weekends are super busy, but worth the wait if you can do it

What an amazing hidden gem in Napa. Had the chorizo muleta con huevos, fresh Jamaica and a churro cronut. Absolutely delish!!!!! No table side ordering available. Great service. Our table was manicured nicely. We dined outside.

I want to give a shout out to Luis from la cheve. He gave us amazing service but also took his time to make sure we were good after getting our food and even recommended the new place con amor in downtown napa that is a partner with la cheve. We will definitely be heading there.

This place is worth the wait! We loved the bloody Maria and uncle wigs and having drinks in line from the walk up window. Their tacos, concha’s, and chilaquiles all had great flavors, and good variety of vegetarian brunch items. The food and service was fast once you ordered and sat down.

We found this spot on our way out of Nappa after a day of wine tastings. The place seems to be family owned and everyone is super nice and helpful. Good recommendations from the staff. Our food was really tasty. We had the steak and also the carne asada salad. The steak was overcooked and dry but full of flavor. Everything else was wonderful so still giving them five stars! Highly recommend it

What a unique and fantastic experience. The waiting time was oven an hour, but it was well worth it. This place has an extensive menu for drinks, pastries, and food. Best mocha I've ever had! The beer flight was delicious, the tortas planchadas to die for and the pastries out of this world! The staff was very welcoming and extremely polite. This spot has definitely become one of my favorite spots. If you're in the Napa area you have to try it! Muchss gracias al personal por hacer nuestra experiencia unica e inolvidable 🥹🫶

The food was delicious from the Asada and eggs to the cornmeal pancakes. The best time to go is before noon on weekdays.

A definite must try!!! Totally worth the drive and wait. Everything about this place was beyond what I had expected and heard. Food, drinks, pastries, service, and ambiance all top notch! Will certainly be going back and recommending to family and friends.

Great Chili Relleno Burrito. Oldest standing house/building in Napa. Place was quite busy at noon. Good thing we were there before the rush. Order at the counter. Pay. And the order will be brought to your table. Recommend trying.

We drove almost 2 hours to come eat at La Cheve and it was worth it so if you love good Mexican food that's almost home made you need to make the drive to this historic location it's part of California's history because the was building was built in 1845

The service was exceptional, the food was super excellent, the ambiance was very cozy and cute! 😍 The only con is the location of the restaurant which is right by the busy street! We had veggie omelet and beef quesadilla and mocha!

Stopped in for morning pastries while visiting Napa and was not disappointed. I was expecting a traditional Mexican panderia but the pastries were Mexican Fusion with some interesting and delicious twists on some favorites. I tried the churro cronut and the concha croissant filled with Nutella. The cronut had a great texture with a good crunch. It was not overly sweet and didn't feel heavy or greasy. The concha croissant had an interesting texture that was partway between a croissant and a traditional concha that was satisfying. The concha was also not overbearing in its sweetness which made it super satisfying. I paired the pastries with a Cafe de Olla. It was brewed a little light and was missing some cinnamon notes I like to enjoy in Cafe de Olla, but it went well with the pastries.

What an amazing place! Adorable set up with a lot of detail and thought put into the decor inside and out. We thought we knew what we wanted to order when we walked in, but the bakery set up is delectable looking that we were torn! We ended up getting the flan French toast and the Mexican Scramble. Chef’s kiss! Both were incredible. The staff was smiling and friendly when we walked in and ordered and we were checked on twice during the meal, despite it being a place where you order and then sit down. Everything about this beautiful restaurant is warm and inviting from the moment you drive in to the moment you walk out the door. Highly recommend!

Service was great and helpful. Food was great I had the Mollets and my husband had the chilaqiles. He said his chilaquiles were better then all the ones we had in Mexico last trip. We ordered pastries for our kids who stayed home. I will update later. Pastry update we got concha Nutella croissant delicious! Churro balls delicious! And regular conchas all were great that's why there isn't a picture

As the oldest restaurant(since 1852) in Napa, CA it is a must goto spot for good breakfasts and brunches. The meals are delicious, well priced, and a tribute to it's past. Parking is limited but should not let that stop you from experiencing Napa's oldest working restaurant.

J

YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE. This is authentic Mexican food and so worth the wait. The service was also amazing. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Just get there early to find parking and avoid a long wait.

I've been here for both pastry takeout and for dine-in brunch. For takeout, staff were patient and helpful in picking out a variety of pastries to sample what they had to offer. For dine-in, staff were attentive, friendly, and polite throughout our stay. The outdoor seating is truly outdoor (none of that inside-outside in a tent nonsense you see at many restaurants these days), well-spaced, and very stylish. I also saw staff thoroughly sanitizing dining spaces in between uses. My party was able to seat ourselves immediately, and we received our food quickly. I'm a pancake lover, and I had never tried cornmeal pancakes before, so my choice felt obvious to me. They were lovely! I also sampled my dining partners' tacos and quesadillas, both of which were tantalizing. The chips and salsa were also very much worth it - fresh and crisp. We quite enjoyed eating here, and the staff seemed happy to be there, which is wonderful to see. This is a pleasant place with cute decor, delicious food, and a safe feeling to it. Highly recommended!

My fellow Texans, if you are in the area, come here for breakfast, I’m sure it’s great for lunch too however we came for the breakfast . Order the burrito, and get cafe de olla. Oh my god it was great! The service was top notch! Yea I saw folks complaining about tipping at the counter before the food gets here and that’s fine after we sat, we were checked on at least 3 times in our short stay by 3 different people. The vibe fit the bill, and the pastry were wonderful. I’m sad I did t come here earlier in my stay as I would have came back again. Locals you are very lucky.

Had a wonderful and delicious breakfast this morning. The Mexican avocado toast was delicious with a great twist on the hot jam, Coffee was good, The cronuts is really great and the cornbread pancakes are incredible. A little bit pricey, but really really good! Thank you!

Their horchata is soooo good. There was also a drink that was half jamaica and half lemonade that was still sweet but very refreshing. These are some of the meals we had. The Chile Verde Benedicto was probably my favorite. A twist on classic brunch😋 they also have a bunch of pan dulce😊

Be prepared to wait! We went on Labor Day and waited for about an hour in line to order. The lady we talked to said wait may be slightly longer than that on weekends. Despite this, the place does a great job at attending all guests, including the people in line. They provide umbrellas to use for shade and they allow you to order drinks off their menu to drink while you wait in line. The wait is worth it as the food is fresh and everything is made from scratch in their kitchen. We had the mulita and the concha french toast as our main dishes as well as some pastries. The staff is very friendly and communicate everything super well! I cannot recommend this place enough. We will be back to try more things on the menu!

Went here with a few girlfriends today, and for it being Saturday it was busy as expected but most definitely worth the wait ! And you can order a drink while waiting in line for a table which was nice. Extremely friendly staff & well ran restaurants highly recommended food and drinks made with love!

This review is long overdue! Our first visit to La Cheve was Jan 2022 and we have been back 5x because we love EVERYTHING about it. As some may have mentioned when it is busy or at capacity you wait in line to place order and get seated. It is in the old Adobe building which may not be built for some of us tall folks but their staff reminds you often about the doorways which we always appreciate! Speaking of the staff - they are just so lovely, kind and helpful. They really do make you feel like 'fam', while providing the best service. I love all the touches of charm here, the dishes, the mugs, the glasses, the tables/chairs, the plants and even the decor in the bathrooms. I just love the atmosphere. Now, let's talk about the food... We have ordered: *Asada with eggs - loooove the jalapeno and cheese biscuits!! *Chile Verde Benedicto - my husband's favorite, he always shares a few bites with me because it's so good! *Red Chilaquiles - my favorite, you can't go wrong with these! *Tostaditas special - the carne asada and salsa were delicioso! *a variety of their bakery items - we try something new every time and are always happy. Everything is made from scratch - from their English muffins to the conchas and everything in between. *Drinks - their horchata zapateado, Mama Chole, Hot Chocolate and Michelada - it's so nice to sit on the patio with one of these drinks in hand. Hubby has also bought a few beers to take home as they brew their own. As you can tell I definitely recommend La Cheve when you have the opportunity to visit. My best advice would be to get there early as there is little to no line. The later it gets the longer the line can get and parking is also tough. Bright side - they take drink orders to pass the time while waiting in line. All in all - I hope you love it just as much as we do.

What a unique and tasty destination. Great food and coffee. The pastries are both traditional and creative. Unbeatable ambiance. We ordered two boxes of conchas and other treats for a family event and everything was ready when promised. Big fan!

A beautiful, intimate and historical establishment. It’s some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. The quality of the chilaquiles is superb and with good depth. The corn pancakes are tasty. And of-course the coffee and various pastries are super fun here especially the guava pan dulce. Can’t wait do come back. I recommend getting there before 830am as the line gets huge afterwards!

M
Marcela Perez

be advised, there WILL be a line outside, but it is so worth the wait! while you wait you can order drinks and look at menu options. Once you make it inside you order your food and pay and they’ll promptly sit you and food will come out ASAP! it’s worth it, the drinks are BOMB and the food is delicious. Don’t forget to order pastries to go, they do sell out fast!

On Sunday, I visited a highly-rated restaurant with a significant waitlist. Staff thoughtfully provided umbrellas for shade while we queued, enabling us to enjoy pre-ordered beverages and pastries. The churro martini was exquisite, and for my meal, I chose the Mexican scramble, chile verde benedict, and concha French toast. The chicken chile verde was exceptionally flavorful, spicy, and delicious. The Mexican scramble featured chorizo, eggs, and house-made blue corn tortillas. The French toast was a unique and highly enjoyable variation.

Amazing breakfast in one of the oldest historical buildings in the area. Food was delicious and the pastries were even better. Great coffee selection and variety of tasty craft beer selections.

Best French toast I've ever had! Breakfast burrito was amazing with every bite including all the ingredients. You will order at the counter and then sit and have it brought to you. Honestly I would have eaten my food standing up in the rain it was so good so don't let the line get you down it's worth it!

This is not my first time at LA Cheve but I will say that despite the long wait it never disappoints. I LOVE this place. Authentic food, great drinks and pastries. The owner is amazing and welcoming, I only know her from my visits but admire her very much. She is always making sure that the people in line are informed, letting everyone know the wait time, the ordering process and thinks about little details such as umbrellas on site in case it rains, umbrella shades in case it's super hot. She thinks about every detail. When in line you don't have to be bored because you can order a cocktail, coffee or pastries to enjoy while waiting 😉 😋 I can't wait for the sister restaurant to open.

J
James Clark

We only recently heard of this restaurant in Napa. They told us it is the oldest building in Napa, built in 1845. We waited outside in line for 35 minutes. Not really too bad. You're advised by the staff that you can order drinks and pastries online and pick them up at the side of the restaurant. We did and it was fast. It made the wait much easier. When you get inside, you order and pay for food immediately and are seated either inside or outside. The atmosphere is very cool! We had Chilequiles, French Toast, and Mexican Eggs Benedict. All were superb. They were delivered to us very fast! We also tried the Mimosa flight. 4 different mimosas. Everything was delicious and the servers were very friendly and helpful. So, it's a long line to get in, but it's worth every minute!

E
Eunice Colin

authentic Mexican flavor, each dish is made with very good quality and seasoning, if you visit this place you should be prepared to wait a little or maybe a lot since it is a very popular place, it is a small and cozy place it reminds me the house of Grandma in Mexico, the decoration is so beautiful, everyone is very friendly, the drinks are unique and delicious, 100% recommended. There is not much parking available, you may have to park somewhere else and walk there.

S
Swan W.

I was there at around 8:30am and there was already a line! I didn't realize that since I was having it to go, I could've just made my order from the side door and didn't have to wait in the same line as those dining in. I ordered the Chile Verde Benedicto ($18) and it was pretty good. Potatoes could've had more flavor imo but the pork with the poached eggs was good. I really liked their horchata. The guy at the cashier was really nice too. Great service.

This beautiful restaurant is the place to go for all occasions. My Best Friend brought me here and I have been back twice since. I brought my Mom on a breakfast date here she absolutely loved the food and pan dulce. I also brought my husband on a date for brunch and he loved it also. I do recommend arriving early or on a weekday. Brunch on the weekend was a little over a one hour wait. The food is worth the wait. Everything feels very cozy here and the employees are excellent at serving and constantly check in on you. This is a must go to with someone you love 💕. Highly recommend.

C

This was a really cute place, and the food was amazing. I marked it down for service because I wasn't a fan of standing in line to order and then going to sit down. That just reminded me of Chipotle or another almost fast food type restaurant. Also, after we received our food, there was a while before we saw someone again. The food did come out fresh, hot, and delicious, so it's definitely a 9/10. Would definitely come back.

My wifey and I love La Cheve! Their food is delicious! We always have to get their Concha French Toast. My wife loves coffee and their seasonal coffee/iced coffees. All their employees are extremely polite and it’s awesome to see the owner out there mingling with their customers, bringing out food and busing tables. We love going to their Paint & Sip that they do once a month.

Oh, My... Amazing! Delicious, authentic and contemporary take on the traditional Mexican dishes. The adobe building is adorable and the staff and service were excellent. Be prepared to wait in line to order and get a table on the weekends. There is a well-planned system for the way the maage the people intake and it is worth the wait. And,youwill want to come back for more!

This place is special! The building is full of charm, the menu is extremely creative and the service is too notch! Only complaint is that my bitter knife is not strong enough to cut through the perfect, crunchy English muffin from my Chile verde eggs Benedict!

I came here as a last minute decision, and I'm happy with my decision. The line was long to order food, but well worth the wait. Plus the staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome in this historic building. I had their potato enchiladas, which are amazing; full of flavor with just the right amount of sauce on top. I also had their flan, which is probably the best I've ever had. I washed everything down with a glass of their American Dream beer, which paired well with their food. I cannot recommend this place enough.

M

I was going to add a 1 star for service. I received my food and they didn't bring the syrup or any silverware. I went up to get to go box and i just went up total times 4 times just to get service! Now let's talk about the food! Man all the food was amazing! No one can compete against there food! I was dreaming as I was eating! This affected the review right away! I dont care about service if they can make the food taste the way it did that day! Thank you guys for a great experience!

If you’re thinking of skipping this place because the line is long - don’t! This was the best meal I’ve had during my visit in California. Every thing we tried had so much flavor. Great food and a really cool backstory for the location. Every time we've come here we've had to stand in line for a good while but it is well worth the wait. Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly too. The breakfast is great, they have a good selection of beers and cocktails and the pastries and bread items are all made in-house! Whether you want to go early in the morning to get some chilaquiles and coffee or a little later in the day to enjoy ceviche and a couple of beers this is a great place to go.

Very cute place but always have a long line But we did a take out and sit right behind the restaurant and that save us a lot of time THE FOOD IS AMAZING The chilaquiles is a must ! Beans are super flavorful and creamy the chips taste AMAZING and definitely get the pastry!

First, you order and then you can take a seat. We went for breakfast and it was phenomenal. I had the cafe de olla and it was an amazing lemon coffee and now I want to make it all the time at home!! Also, the mimosa flight is a whole bottle of champagne, so make sure to have a friend to share that with!!! The oatmeal is perfectly cooked with a granola that you can tell they make in house. The Chile Verdes benedicto was good but was very spicy..so make sure you like your spice! We will be coming back to try more for sure!

M

The food was delicious. I had the vegan concha French toast with a side of potatoes and the mimosa flight. It was packed with a half hour wait out the door, but well worth it. I will definitely return when in the area again. They also sell cute concha dog treats. My pup loved it.

The food is definitely worth the wait. I had the red chilaquiles and they where delicious, however a little spicy. They taste just like my grandmas chilaquiles. We also ordered the flan french toast, top favorite. The flan french toast is definitely memorable and you will day dream about it. Only down side is the parking and long wait but if you are a patient person you won't regret waiting!

OG spot established way before CA became a State! Food is soo good. Staff is friendly. Couple things you ll need to know if you dont know yet. Parking: *Super small parking lot with adjacent side streets and neighboring businesses.. residents/business owners will call for a tow so dont do it! **Park at the Chipotle/Marshalls/Home Goods strip mall down the street and walk over. Not a far walk and there is sidewalk that will lead u there. Upon arrival... 2 routes 1. Dine in: expect a line. Goes fairly quick. -Super small dining areas indoors and out. -order everything at counter and then you will be seated with order flag, staff will run your order. 2. Take Out: there is a separate Take out line so make sure you are in the right line. *Pastries sell out so come thru as early as you can! *Expect flavor-bombs of clean favors! Enjoy!

My abuelita would have enjoyed the food if she was with us. The drinks, horchata & rum with the French toast and the paloma with green chilaquiles did not disappoint! We added un bistec, chorizo and avocado to our chilaquiles for added proteinand had them split the plate. And of course we took some pastries home. If only we lived closer....

Wow!!! I’m a California native and come back once a year to visit family. I’ve been seeing this place come up on my social media and I knew we needed to come in and try it. It didn’t disappoint. Our food and coffee was so incredible. The building was so beautiful as is the history behind the building. I will be wishing we had something like this in Charlotte, NC and making sure we come back during next year’s visit. Thank you for the incredible experience.

La Cheve offers traditional food and beverages as well as modern and creative ones. The history of the building and the mission of the restaurant is a beautiful combination. Before going--You must know--The lines are long, parking is difficult, and seating is limited. Have patience and don't go hungry. I recommend getting in the to line for a coffee and pan dulce while you wait. We drove from Sacramento, waited about 90 minutes and it was definitely worth it!

We’ve driven past La Cheve so many times to and from Napa and I never really noticed it. But we targeted it this time some it’s on the way and we wanted to find a breakfast place. On Easter Sunday at 8:30am they still weren’t busy. Got a little busier by the time we left at 9:30am but there were still seats on the outdoor section. They have good coverage and heat lamps if you’re out here. But we got to sit indoors which is far more interesting. Apparently this is the oldest building in the Napa area. I love the Adobe look and feel outside and Spanish tile inside. Order at the counter and then they seat you. Of course w tried the first thing in the menu which mag be one of the most popular items as well: the chilaquiles. These are basically tortilla shops in cheese, I think oven baked, with beans and fried egg on top. And we added the chorizo sausage. Very delicious. We got the mild, but it came with a side of roasted salsa which seems pretty dang spicy to me. We also had la Concha, one of their many baked goods. Would’ve liked to Ty more but we were in our way to Napa with a lot more places to visit and food to eat! Interacted with about three or four workers and they were all very helpful and nice. So pleasant. I wouldn’t mind making this a normal stopping point on the way up there every time.

I’ve been here a handful of times and it never disappoints, the wait time is def manageable when you’re not extremely hungry. The food is so good, you can definitely tell they make everything fresh. Customer service is a 100/10. Everyone there is so friendly! Love this place!!

At the risk of leaving another excellent review of this excellent restaurant and potentially making it harder to get into this amazing family restaurant, it must be done. This is an outstanding Mexican breakfast/ brunch experience. The food, people and building is a must stop on your next Napa trip. I know we will be there on our next trip.

La Cheve Bakery and Brews is such a gem in Napa. We arrived just after opening and only waited behind a few people. By the time we left, the line wrapped around the building, so arriving early is the way to go. Housed in the oldest existing structure in Napa from the 1840s, it has a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes breakfast feel special. I started with a tres leches cinnamon roll and a cafe de olla, which were both full of flavor. The flan french toast was rich and satisfying, and the breakfast sandwich was fresh and hearty. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.

Great service, amazing historical house, plan to wait in line to order given their kitchen size in this historical house and their popularity. Chilaquiles Rojos with Chorizo Scrambled Eggs and their in house Mexican Lager are top notch, reminds of the god Mexican restuarants for living in Phoenix Arizona. You can taste the love in their food and service.

That old building's rustic charm is amazing! The inside's magical, so different from outside – you really need at least two days to soak it all in. The food was incredible, perfectly seasoned and services is next level, and we loved the two bestsellers dishes, some pastries, and the mimosa flight. Everything was fantastic..

YES, the food is as good as everyone says. Definitely worth the wait, but that wait might be a while. We got there around 11 and were told it was a 1.5 hour wait to sit. I was very happy to learn that they had a to-go order area with seating so we opted for that. You can order drinks and pastries online, but to order actual food you need to stand in the to-go line. The line went fast and we got our food within 15 minutes. Best chilaquiles ever. Highly recommend the arroz con leche concha. Get there early, be prepared to wait, but also be prepared to eat amazing authentic food!

This place is a awesome authentic little place pumping out some tasty drinks and food. We ended up getting the ceviche and the chips and guac which were amazing. I also got a burrito and my wife indulged in the chicken torta which make sure you are hungry! Maybe stick to one app hahaha the food and people were amazing. We had Cynthia for our waitress and everything was spot on.

Words cannot describe how this place made me feel. It had amazing customer service. Yes it may have a long wait but they have umbrellas for people to use and you can order drinks while you wait in line. Once you get in and order the staff is super helpful and kind. There is seats available inside and outside but outside is just beautiful. The food came out within less than 20 minutes of us ordering and it was delicious. The portions are big but you can order halves. The food was authentic, amazing and delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection and beautifully served. It definitely made the drive over worth it!

This restaurant has the cutest environment, and is inside the oldest building in Napa. There are no reservations, and no waiting list, so you wait in line. We waited for a total of 55 minutes, which I would do again. The food was phenomenal, the bakery items were perfect. They said they just opened another restaurant in downtown Napa that offers reservations, so if you don’t want to deal with the wait(but miss the cute building) then go there instead! We’ll be coming back any chance we can!

Love the system they have at La Cheve. You wait in line (~45 mins to 1 hr but moves quick), order when you’re at the front, and then get seated. It ensures that you get your food quick! Overall, the whole experience was smooth. I had the chile verde benedicto (pretty spicy) and my fiancé had the burrito de chile relleno (a little spicy). Both were so delicious!! Coming back soon to try the rest of the menu!

Love this spot for its vibe and decor! 🍰 Drinks and food were good, but didn't blow me away. PASTRIES THOUGH - they were TO DIE FOR! Staff was super friendly too. Would come back for the sweets and atmosphere for sure 😊

Such a great place to go for brunch! I loved the look inside, it was so pretty and homey feeling. I went on a Thursday morning and had absolutely no wait. The food is amazing, I highly recommend the concha French toast. It's not too expensive either, prices were pretty on par for Napa but I was able to have a brunch for one under $25 which was surprising. Service is spectacular as well. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. They were so quick as well, my coffee and food came in under ten minutes (it wasn't super busy so I'm sure that helped). Overall great experience, highly recommend this place!

Very cute, historical Adobe with a few saloon type buildings across the parking lot. I loved reading the history on the wall, and hearing the storynof the buildings from the people who worked there. I tried the avocado chicken taco and the iced coffee horchata beverage; both were good (my husband agreed).

Great spot. Always lots of people. Food is pretty epic. A few items seem very over priced for what you get. The staff is always super friendly.

Cute restaurant/bakery in napa. Cozy inside and outdoor seating. You do order at the register and they bring your food to your table. I would recommend checking out their menu before you get there. Friendly staff and the food was delicious and authentic flavor.

Great food, good cocktails but the service was not the greatest. There was one guy who I flagged down twice and engaged with our table of 7, he had stories and a great attitude which saved this restaurant from getting a single star for service; which to be honest service was non-existent. Never once was our table checked up on, in more than a hour not once! Trying to get a server's attention is like trying to flag down a taxi in the city, chaotic and putting in way too much effort. All we wanted was more drinks and pastries. It was a pain especially when we're told to NOT go get someone at the register. I was very close twice to do exactly that, you're guy there saved you and should be given a raise! Wish I knew his name. 4 stars for the atmosphere he provided, 3 for the non-existent service due to him, and the kitchen gets 5 stars for making some really good food.

First the bake goods are fire 🔥. The food was great, omg the burrito and omelette. The eggs and carne asada not what I expected greasy we left the plate. Everyone was being walked to their table except for my family which I thought was odd. But I guess we really only came for the food and drinks. It’s not handicap friendly. Oh we had to get our own water when everyone else was be served theirs.

First and foremost, Get Here Early! You should know everyone wants to go here because of social media trends. Now for the review. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff and attentive. My food experience was a good 7.8/10 and that’s a fair rating. I would recommend the chorizo burrito and some cafe de olla on the side. The pastries are a must and they have plenty variety. Overall, I think this place is solid choice if you’re into hispanic cultural food with a side of hood history. Lastly, get here early lol.

Customer service is great, food was very good as well as the drinks and sweet bread. We came on a Sunday around 11ish, and it's probably the most busiest time. We were in a very long line for about 1 hour and a half. There was no parking, so we parked down the street. By the time we were halfway in the line they sold out of their concha and flan french toast. Most sweet bread was also sold out, we tried to order whatever we could while in line (recommended by the staff). Definitely better to come super early or weekday.

Classic place and busy for good reason. Give yourself plenty of time here, because they have a small kitchen and are always at or near full capacity.

Authentic Mexican food. Rich flavors. It hits on all cylinders. The food, atmosphere, and locale are the stars here. Staff was friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint about the service (and I don't know why they do it this way, but) is you order your food at the counter when entering. They do not seat you. You order all your entreés, appetizers, and drinks first. Pay and tip. I didn't like that. Why am I tipping when I haven't experienced the service? Update: The place is a historical landmark, almost 175 years old. It's not your regular type of kitchen, and it is why they run it this specific way. The menu is enticing and is worth the experience. It gets busy, so you know it's a local favorite. You can tip later.

The food is great always tend to show up early to best the crowd. Only reason for a 4 star is i paid 5 bucks for a Mexican mocha and when I asked for a top off of regular drip coffee the young lady said I had to pay for another cup.

It's a beautiful restaurant and it was very crowded. But the prices are through the roof. It was good but it was not $28 melt in my mouth best thing I've ever had. I'd French toast with a side of eggs.

There was a long wait to get in, and I think that may have raised our expectations quite a bit. The food itself wasn’t bad at all, but it didn’t quite live up to the wait for us. We ordered the flan toast, which was interesting and unique, but a bit on the sweet side. Since neither of us really enjoys sweet dishes, it wasn’t something we felt strongly about coming back for. This may just come down to personal preference, especially if you’re more familiar with or enjoy sweeter Mexican flavors.

The line was about an hour wait but you could order to go on the other side of the restaurant. We did the To go and ate there. If you want to wait an hour to have your food on a clay plate then by all means wait. But I don’t think it’s worth the wait when to go was faster and the food is just as good. We ordered our food but they forgot to give us the churro donuts. We asked the guy working on sep 6 at 12 pm where our donuts were and he said they’re separate and have to wait to get called for the donuts. Which makes no sense since it’s to go. We ate our food and no donuts. We asked another person and said the donuts were sold out and that they can give us one cronut churro. Which was very hard so I took a bite and threw it away. If they didn’t have donuts the first time we asked we would’ve picked something else. It makes no sense why it was handled that way. The inside by the bathrooms had flys flying around as well. The green chilaquiles were amazing but the gorditas de chorizo con papas were not. They were very dry with no flavor. The French toast was good. I would go back for the chilaquiles but I would be very careful ordering desserts and making sure I get all of my order. But I would only order to go. Not worth the hour wait and then 30 min to get your food.

We waited almost 2 hrs in line on a Sunday. So glad it was just my husband and I and not with our 3 hangry kids cuz that would have been all bad. I liked that there was an option to order pastries and drinks while you waited so we did. Once you make it inside, you order your food and are seated. We sat outside and it was ok, besides the random speeding cars that would go by. I had the steak and egg plate but I forgot what my husband had. Definitely something vegetarian friendly because he doesn't eat meat. I also had the mimosa flight which was top knotch 👌 All in all, decent food but not worth the long wait. Glad we had a chance to say we came here one time but wouldn't do it again.

Keeping it real for my Google fam—this spot was all hype, long wait, and a letdown. Let’s start with the wait: over an hour, and not because they’re packed. They deliberately let in one party at a time, even though we saw at least 20 empty tables inside. It’s a crowd-control tactic to make the place look busier from the outside, but it feels unnecessary and frustrating. Food? Disappointing. •   Concha French Toast – This was one of their specials, but it was small, thin, dry, and honestly… flavorless. •   Chili Verde Benedictos – Just okay. The English muffins were so hard it was a struggle to cut through with a butter knife. •   Cinnamon Donut Holes – Dry and bland, not worth the carbs. •   Drinks – Way too sweet for my taste. Service? Meh. Even after you’ve paid, they still assign where you sit. Not open seating, which is weird for a casual brunch place. A friend of mine wanted to sit on the patio at a 4-top, which matched our group size, but the server kept hassling her about it while we were ordering. Totally unnecessary and made the experience feel more tense than welcoming. Final thoughts: I’ve had much better brunch experiences in Napa. Between the awkward seating rules, long wait, and forgettable food, this one’s a skip for me. Not worth standing in line for an hour

We came for breakfast in Napa, but I wouldn’t come back. Parking is difficult, the line was long, and although the service was good, the food was disappointing. We ordered chilaquiles and carne asada. The chilaquiles were just chips with sauce instead of fried tortillas, and the sauce was overly salty and heavily seasoned. Portions were small, and the “carne asada” came with two tiny pieces of meat full of pepper and a cold nopal salad, which didn’t match the hot rice and beans. The steak was oily and fried rather than grilled. Mimosas had too much orange juice with low quality champagne, the cafe de olla was weak, though the Juárez mocha, flan, and concha were good. Overall, the food quality and portion sizes don’t justify the prices. It’s not authentic Mexican cuisine, and I wouldn’t return even without the wait or parking issues
