Opiniones de Java John's Nevada City
We really enjoyed our morning visits to Java Johns. Not only is the coffee great, They have coconut milk available! We chose the Egg Puck and fluffy Jalapeño bagel and put them together as a sandwich. Delightful!
I follow the IG page for this coffee shop and finally made it in to see it in person. It’s a quaint little shop right on Broad Street. Friendly service, good coffee, yummy muffins. There’s a cozy spot to sit and watch the people walk by, too!
I ordered the Vegan breakfast burrito which was delicious! They made a chorizo quinoa which was tasty, and very filling. I also ordered a large iced latte with oat milk and lavender syrup which was incredible. You can tell the coffee itself is high quality and adds to the experience & aromas. I stayed in the cafe to get work done and the environment was welcoming. The workers were knowledgeable of their craft and kind. I highly recommend stopping in here!
Great option for a simple liquid refreshment, a delectable baked goodie or a full-on breakfast or lunch item. The staff are definitely the friendliest, most welcoming in all of Nevada City, and the vibe is cool and inviting. Don;t just pass by --- drop in and enjoy!
This is a super cute little spot. They have coffee, bagels, pastries, as well as lunch and breakfast items. We had the bagel and lox and a sunrise breakfast sandwich with coffees. Great price, super friendly staff, and a cool atmosphere. Even though Nevada City was snowed out, they still opened for breakfast. Thanks for the awesome Sunday morning eats! Highly recommend.
The coffee was lovely, and the service was friendly and professional from baristas who know their craft. The charmer for me, though, was the helping hand this little gem offers the community. People with extra can buy an item, and a tag gets placed in a basket for people in need to take a little something for the hard times. I love it so much.
Very friendly staff and good coffee/breakfast sandwiches. I had an elderflower latte and a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño cheese bagel. I do wish that there breakfast sandwiches included sausage or bacon, but it was delicious without!
Super cute coffee place with amazing staff that goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. The coffee was hand crafted and delicious . The restaurant is super cute and the food sounds amazing ! It’s a must stop and sit for a little treat in Neveda city !
I’m a breakfast bagel connoisseur and this one is a top favorite. I got the “Good Morning Sunshine” Bagel.
I was prepared to go across the street to a different coffee shop but so glad I stopped in here instead. Great atmosphere, nice staff, excellent americano. Good times
Very good coffee shop, locally owned and operated. Great selection of hot and cold coffees, fresh baked muffins, sandwiches and much more!

If I ever make it back to Nevada City to see a show I will make it a point to return to Java John’s. I know some reviewers seemed to expect a fancier atmosphere, but this place is exactly what it should be. A good restaurant with friendly service on an old historic street. We ordered the club sandwich—one of the best I have had—and pasta salad and chocolate chip cookies. Really good experience. Highly recommend.
I always enjoy my time there and those egg bites. Yum! Just the right amount for me for breakfast. This is one of those independent coffee houses you want to make sure sticks around. So skip the big guys and pop in here. You'll be glad you did
Really great people combined with really great food! 😁

My mom works full time and has to drop me off at around 8:20, but my school doesn't start until 9:15. This is a nice place to stay when it's too cold and rainy to wait outside school. The coffee's great, too, and the staff are nice. Longest I've ever had to wait for coffee was five or ten minutes, and that was an outlier. It's not too expensive, either.
Food was great. One of the best clubs out there. The guy taking orders this morning had zero personality. We had a table and they obviously didn't want us to stay because it was served in a to go bag. Seemed odd.

The food is good but the guy at the broad street location comes with poor manners. You're losing a lot of business by not taking orders over the phone , some people want to pick up their breakfast quick and call ahead.

Wanted to order two smoothies but only received one because the male worker said he "didn't want to clean it" (it being the blender?) So I got the Chai Tea Smoothie and it was so bland. Only a slight spice to it but other than that just tasted like blended milk.
Overpriced sandwich could make a better one at home. dont come here unless you want coffee which probably also isnt that good
There was not much of an atmosphere. It was 52° outside, and the coffee shop was full of flies. The tables were filthy, and flies were all over the cloth couch and chairs. The coffee tasted like they forgot to add coffee through the filter. The server behind the bar was very polite and friendly.
I walked into an empty restaurant holding my Onewheel. After ordering, I was told I couldn't have it in the store and would have to wait outside for my food because my "vehicle" wasn't allowed in the cafe. Again, this place was practically empty, I was in no one's way. It's no wonder they're going out of business, it's listed for sale.. Communal Cafe is across the street. They welcome their guests and treat them with service. The atmospher is way nicer, open with lots of windows, couches et. Go there instead.
Stopped in for 2 cups of coffee and a bagel sandwich. They need some food handling lessons. The young man put his fingers in our cups when he wrapped them off the counter. Gross. Then he was changing the garbage bags before making the bagel. Never washed his hands. Really somone needs to train him on property hygiene when serving food. Won't be back.
