Opiniones de Benito One New York
I've been coming here for many years and it gets better every time. The spaghetti aglio olio is to die for, along with everything else. The service was outstanding with great people, and the environment with the rest of little Italy was amazing. Sal is super nice and friendly.
Went to the iconic San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy (our third time) and had such a fun time. We needed to get a snack (right away) and opted for a pizza and a glass of wine. So many places to choose from. Glad we chose Benito One. Pizza and wine did not disappoint. Friendly and fast service. We are New Yorkers and this simple pizza was PERFECT. Enjoy people!
Lovely experience. Benito One serves up authentic Italian entrees with tastes and flavors that are unmatched. My go-to place to get away & enjoy dining experiences that transport you to a special space, so welcoming and festive with delicious eats. A special shout out to Cristian. Your hospitality was exceptional. Thank you
Last time I ate at a restaurant in little Italy I feel like I fell into a tourist trap that was no better than Olive Garden. My parents told me about Benito One before this trip and I’m so glad they did cuz it was super good. From the calamari appetizer to the crunchy but chewy soft bread and butter it was delicious all around. The chicken parm was a notable stand out and the server/service was top notch. I will definitely be going back to Benito One on my next trip to NYC.
Let me start by saying this ruined me to any other place. I had lasagna, and it was incredible. The service was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. Had some great classics playing. I tried some of the other dishes, and they were incredible as well. The chicken parmesan was some of the best I have ever had. Don't pass this place up. It has history, great food, and great service. See you all next trip.
Very authentic little restaurant in Little Italy! The atmosphere is very good, nice menu with lots of options. Our waiter was sweet. Tried the fettuccine alfredo and gnocchi both tasted of very quality ingredients and a filling and warm treat. Right in the heart of a cute street as well, great location! Good pinot noir as well, would definitely go again!
Turkey 🦃 dinner for 3. Really homey & cozy ambiance. Non pretentious & easy going people serving great food. 🥇🥇 I only saw 2 spots serving turkey for thanksgiving on mulberry st. We chose Benito’s for its down to earth vibes. A truly genuine turkey meal with sweet potatoes, gravy, & cranberry sauce 🤩🤩
This is a really good Italian restaurant! The waiters, the owner, the decoration, the music, the atmosphere, the aromas, the surroundings, the menu. You feel like you are in a little town in the south of Italy. The seafood meals are very fresh and tasty, and the pastas and sauces and exquisite. Waiters were really friendly and treated us very well. I would come back every day just to try their different dishes.
Very elegant italian restaurant in Little Italy ! Small spot, worth the wait for the great service and delicious food! the espresso martini is VERY strong here. Veal parmesan was delicious, the pasta is great. pizza was a great appetizer to start the course. we shared the pizza and parm and we’re above satisfied and full
In NYC visiting for my birthday I knew I wanted Italian. I also wanted to visit Little Italy. I liked through reviews here and I couldn't find a menu that caught my eye. I came across Benito One and the menu was just what I was looking for. The reviews weren't as high as some of the other restaurants, but we went with it anyway. I am so happy we did. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, very friendly, and gave me a little birthday treat. We started with calamari which was lightly battered. I got the manicotti and ate every bite, the pasta was so light and the marinara was not over seasoned and fresh. My husband got the stuffed veal chop and said it was one of the best things he's ever eaten. My son tried it and said he just wanted a cup of the gravy to drink, lol. We shared a pitcher of the red sangria which was one of the best I've had. If you're having trouble picking an Italian restaurant look no more, THIS IS THE PLACE.
I always go back, the lobster ravioli is the real deal. I just wish they would seat people further away from each other, especially when there’s nobody else in the restaurant. We were the only people in the restaurant, the next party arrived, and they put them right next to us. Food is legit though.
Good Italian food and very large portions. My partner’s chicken parm was amazing. The bruschetta had tons of tomatoes and was nice and fresh. The bolognese was a bit too buttery for my liking but nonetheless, good pasta. The Caesar salad dressing was a bit different than I’m used to but I still enjoyed it. The decor adds to the charm of this place. I would have liked to come during dinner when it is a little busier. With that being said, another server drew a picture of my partner which was cool! Overall, I would recommend stopping here while you’re in Little Italy!
This is a tough review because the venue was so dated and unkept - almost gross. The Furnature was also cheap. But the food was amazing and the staff was accommodating and responsive. If you are looking for amazing Italian, and can overlook the ripped table clothes, cheap chairs, dusty decor, etc - this is a great place to eat. (I am curious what the kitchen looks like.)
Lobster raviolis tasted too buttery but were still very good. Lasagna was a bit bland, somewhat homemade reminiscent of childhood. Sidewalk seating on a pedestrian only street really makes a great spot, but the mood was a bit diminished by their dilapidated wooden table top. Most all the food served was brought out very hot, it also gratifying maintained its temperature as it was served in its ceramic cooking pot.
We were excited to try here and it had gotten great reviews, but we were incredibly disappointed. The quality of the Italian food was less than mediocre and depressing for somewhere in Little Italy. The pasta was quality was like it was out of the bag, instead of tasting like fresh, homemade pasta. The Mushroom Ravioli was downright sickening.
We only walked into this place because a guy outside was aggressively inviting us in, telling a story about how his grandmother used to cook here. After tasting the food, I can believe she might have cooked here — a very long time ago — but clearly none of her cooking skills were passed on. The food was horrible. The pasta was completely overcooked, the sauce was a disaster, and overall it felt like food from the cheapest tourist trap, not a proper restaurant in New York. This place may be run by Italians, but with no class or experience in cooking whatsoever. The drinks were just as bad — low-level, poorly made, like something you’d get at a roadside dive. I didn’t even finish mine. I didn’t eat the food either, and the staff showed zero interest in whether we liked anything or not. No questions, no care, nothing. To make it worse, they charged us an extra $20 plus $8 for “excellent service”, which is simply a pure joke, because there was absolutely nothing excellent about the service. Strongly not recommended. Avoid this place at all costs. Total tourist trap.
