This place is not only well located for tourism, it’s a staple for residents too. It’s located right next to grand central terminal. The service was excellent as Camilo was very attentive and prompt. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is warm and reminiscent of guilted age splendor. The wood tables, floors and ceilings contrast excellently with the riveted metal and ornate supports.

My daughter and I had breakfast here one day and loved the food and atmosphere. I tried the avocado toast which was delicious. The service was great.

As I stepped into Pershing Square Restaurant in the heart of New York City, I knew I was in for a treat. The vibe was utterly captivating - a classic New York design that could give any other restaurant in the city a run for its money. From the get-go, I sensed the top-notch service which perfectly set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. What sets Pershing Square Restaurant apart from the other dining establishments in the bustling New York City food scene is how it manages to maintain a perfect balance between quality food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. You'll never feel out of place at this spot, whether you're a tourist or a local, and you'll never leave dissatisfied. Overall, I highly recommend Pershing Square Restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in the city. The combination of amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service make it a must-visit for any foodie. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

So I’m not going to lie…I really did not expect the interior of this restaurant to be so nice. It’s cute from the outside and has such a lovely vibe inside. Service is pretty nice and food is delicious. Definitely recommend the buzz burger and a side of sweet potato fries. Now for my standard COVID comments as of November 2022. No one is really wearing masks anymore. Seating indoors is really nice and not too crowded. Felt pretty comfortable in there.

We needed to grab food before we caught our train, rather than eating in the dining concourse at Grand Central we took a chance on Pershing Square Cafe. First time eating here, didn't know what to expect, food was amazing, really surprised us how great it was. I had the chicken pot pie and it was out of this world. My wife had the Mediterranean Salad and my daughter had a kid's cheeseburger and it was all fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Fresh and delicious breakfast! Totally worth it! 2022: We usually go for breakfast but this time we tried going for dinner and this place just don’t disappoint ❤️ the Christmas ambience is the best.. perfect for date nights or before exploring Midtown.. Price is good considering Midtown Manhattan ❤️

This is a lovely place for a meal. Prices are reasonable and the bacon and potatoes are incredible. The butter is very tasty too. This is right outside grand central and a lot cheaper than the breakfast our hotel offered. The location is also great with grand central right opposite and times square, the new york library, 5th avenue and summit all being in walkable distance. The staff were also very accommodating with my mobility issues and there is wheelchair access. We ate around 9am and didn't need to wait for a table.

I spent 3 days in 70 Park Avenue Hotel. I walked past this place and finally I decided to eat here. I stop in and I ordered oysters . They were out of them. I ordered shrimp with a beer. Wow, I was impressed with the food and the service.

We arrived early at the train station for our train so we decided to look for a spot to grab a bite to eat. What a gem of a place. We had a wonderful meal and was able to sit and catch our breath after a long day of walking. It was perfect. The restaurant was dimly lit, very romantic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot.

Are you in Manhattan? Search no more! This is the one place that you need to go for breakfast. I would give 10 stars 🌟 if I could. The food tasted amazing. Everything was so fresh and homemade. The freshly squeezed orange juice was perfect. I also recommend their Latte. Really brings me back to Puerto Rico with the taste of that coffee. I'll definitely be going back to eat. Service was also on point. Very friendly and informative on what to do in the area.

Excellent, kind and attentive server George, nice ambiance, spectacular location on E.42nd street directly across the covered street from the beautiful and Majestic Grand Central Station. Food was well presented and delicious, speciality drinks were also good and well presented. Skirt steak was a little under cooked at first, but came back at the perfect temperature, and was delicious. The place gives you a sense of going back to an earlier period of time in NYC, but with modern amenities. I would highly recommend a city visitor to try this place out, and having worked in NYC for many years, I can honestly say it’s a good place with good value.

Wonderful attentive friendly inclusive customer-oriented welcoming services delivered by gracious Server Ms. Lenka & Manager Elvis & the busboy (Sorry didn’t get your name). My third visit here at Pershing Square & each time magnificent tasteful artistic decor, spotless & breakfast I ordered so delicious & lovely to view. The corned beef was home-made! Thank you Lenka for our conversation. Pershing Square was packed, a culinary hub across from iconic fellow hub Grand Central Station. Grateful to you ALL!

Wonderful place to go for breakfast near Grand Central Station. Their breakfast potatoes are among the best I’ve ever had. Egg sandwich was delicious The orange juice was fresh squeezed, and everything was perfectly cooked. There was a line to get in, but it moved very quickly.

Great service and great atmosphere. We were seated quickly and from order to table wasn't the long wait like most places. Obviously know from their appearances on movies, they really should be recognized for their food. It's probably the best omelet I've had and fresh squeezed orange juice, and I won't forget to mention the home fries perfectly salted. Perfectly cooked sausage and coffee just hot enough. It's definitely not a place for a penny pincher, but trust me, it's definitely worth the money.

Such a cute place right outside of Grand Central Terminal. My friend and I had breakfast here and their French toast was delicious. Our server was very kind and kept the coffee flowing and was very attentive. There is also a place to check your baggage if you need, which was very helpful for us since we were heading to the airport after!

Classic NewYork city place, as nice on the outside as in the inside, food served is delicious. Seems to be a toutist trap, but no! This is a really nice place to have the salty/sweet complete breakfast you are loocking for!

This place is a great American 🇺🇲 diner and restaurant! 🍴 Pershing Square is beautifully located under the Grand Central Terminal bridge 🌉 and has a wonderful variety of classic American dishes 🍽️ and breakfast 🍳 items. I was skeptical about this place but my friend wanted to eat here and the location is convenient for both of us. We went for breakfast at about 11 and were seated right away. I didn’t expect much, the price is a lil high but nothing is cheap anymore in the city anyway. The food came out fast and wow THE BEST French toast I’ve ever had, the most delicious salmon Benedict too!!! Great service, good ambient, will definitely go back.

We had breakfast here before going to a Broadway show and it was very nice. We had a booth at the back which was great, if you can get those I recommend it. I love the old feel of the building which is under a bridge. Food was good and had big portions, I recommend the avocado toast.

Still one of the best American breakfast you can get in Manhattan, after all these years. Every time I bring family or friends to discover this, it reaches top 3 of good souvenirs

The atmosphere of the establishment felt a bit off, with aspects that could really use some improvement in terms of service. Despite this, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which exceeded my expectations. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, making the dining experience much more enjoyable than I initially anticipated.

Had brunch there so don't know about dinner, but I'm smitten. No question this place is about as expensive as you'll find, but if you're willing to drop $25 on an egg sandwich or pancakes you will find the food incredibly tasteful and filling, the plating a work of art, and the service impeccable. Also it faces Grand Central Station for those who want to jump into a meal as soon as they arrive in town, or want a sure thing before their train out of town. I felt treated like a VIP, or that I had stepped back into an earlier, gentler time. It was a splurge, but every so often it feels good to do - and hopefully you'll be smitten too.

I’ve been dining at Pershing Square since it opened in the late ’90s, and it’s still one of my go-to spots, even now, when I no longer live in the NYC area. Conveniently located across from Grand Central Station, I find myself stopping in not just when I have a train to catch, but whenever I’m in the area. The menu may be limited, but I see that as a focus on quality over quantity. They always have a great wine selection, and the service is consistently attentive. Sure, I could go to ‘fancier’ places, but what keeps me coming back is the welcoming staff, the excellent food, and the attention to detail that Pershing Square is known for. I truly hope they’re around for as long as I am.

Pershing Square is somewhere we hot for breakfast every time we are in NY. The room is lovely, the food is great (recommend the omelettes, the egg sandwich, and the corned beef hash). The Bloody Mary's are lovely and hoseradishy. GiGi was looking after our table both days of our most recent trip. She definitely deserved a mention for her professional approach, and at all times friendly demeanour. A true asset to the restaurant!

It is one of the fastest serving restaurants in New York City. I enjoyed the NY Chicken Pie and some fries. I was seated without any comments about my short sleeved t-shirt, and the waitress didn’t take too much time to attend to me nor too fast. It was the same situation with serving the food and the check.

Was such a great opportunity to eat here. I was in my way out from Summit when we saw Pershing sq. Central Cafe. The food is so good and delicious 🤤. I was there for breakfast and these pictures for 10000 words. The staff is really friendly. The food is quality. I prefer to try cappuccino here. It will be my normal place to visit for breakfast meal whenever I'm in New York.

Prior to visiting the Summit attraction at the Vanderbilt, my daughter and I were searching a place to have breakfast and found Pershing Square in Google Maps. Once entering, I liked the classical ambiance very much and felt I went back in time. This restaurant fits perfectly under the Arch. To me, it's a landmark! We enjoyed the food and it was delicious! Service was good. The perfect eating spot for those entering or leaving the Grand Central Station. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍

Good quality breakfast in the Grand Central area. The location is ideal for a business meeting or catching a good meal before or after traveling. I ordered the poached eggs with quinoa and lentils, and it was just the right healthy and filling meal I needed. The restaurant is pricier than most breakfast locations but it also offers a high class environment and service. I enjoyed my visit.

Stopped by Pershing Square Café on Friday afternoon for a quick snack and coffee. We ordered a cappuccino, hot cocoa, and a chocolate croissant. The drinks were warm and comforting, and the croissant was fresh and flaky. The café wasn’t crowded, making it a peaceful spot to relax in the midst of the city’s hustle. The ambiance was charming, with its classic bistro feel right across from Grand Central Terminal. Service was prompt and friendly. It’s a great place for a quick break or a casual meet-up. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a cozy café experience.

Came here twice for breakfast and also evening dinner. Weekday mornings its very busy and the noise level is quite high - lots of people having breakfast before work I guess. Weekends for breakfast is much quieter but the good food is the same all the time. We had dinner one Saturday evening as a 'walk-in' , had to wait about 15mins as it was valentines day !!!. Food & service were good on every visit. Would defo return.

The food and service were amazing. This restaurant never disappoints. This is a wonderful brunch spot in NYC that is just steps away from Grand Central Station. My 7 yr old daughter loves this spot! You can also grab lunch and dinner here, too. It works great for a quick lunch if you only have a little time in between meetings.

We stumbled across this restaurant as we were passing and so glad we went in. The staff were so lovely. The food was excellent. I had the lobster roll (delicious!) and my daughter had the short rib beef which she really enjoyed. It was such a great vibe and the service was great!

Great place to eat and visit grand central station opposite. Food was not cheap but then neither was the quality of the food and service - so we felt it was worth the money and experience. Lovely cozy and old world feel but very busy and fairly noisy. We manage to time it right with a visit around 830 as it was starting to fill up by the time we left. I would recommend and visit again should we get the opportunity to visit NYC again.

Long-time breakfast/brunch spot that I never miss. The blueberry pancakes are just delicious! I also had the Eggs Benedict and hubs had a waffle with bacon and eggs. We both found the food prepared with care. Service was friendly and responsive to any special requests. Nice location when you're near Grand Central Station. Have been here many times and always look forward to going back.

Stopped at Pershing Square for dinner and had a NY Strip with mashed potatoes and a glass of Riesling. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a rich red wine sauce. The mashed potatoes were creamy and just right. The staff was attentive and quick, and they made sure to check in to see if everything was to my liking, which I really appreciated. The atmosphere was great, intimate, moody, and not too loud.

I’ve been here a few times while visiting NYC. I’ve enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. The menu options are vast, including several vegetarian options. The food is always delicious and the staff always friendly and welcoming. The service is quick, so you don’t have to wait around forever for your food even with a party of six people. I love the location and the restaurant has a very cool vibe. Lots of windows and a large bar area, high ceilings and bright colored walls. A fun place for all ages.

Our favorite place for breakfast, brunch and lunch in Midtown. We’ve been dining here for 25 years and they never let us down. My wife’s favorite is the Egg Benedict with Salmon. My go to is French Toast in the morning hours or a burger in the afternoon. Atmospheres is amazing, service is always solid and the location can’t be beat.

Thank you for making the fish and chips . We were tired after a lot of walking and were looking for something we can eat on a Friday Lent . I asked about the fish and chips that aren’t on the dinner menu , without much further thinking the manager approached us and said you can make them for us . We appreciate that so much . Every server was outstanding.

Best breakfast we had during our stay in NYC! We ate here the morning before flying out. They kindly stored our luggage while we ate. Our server was very nice and brought our food SUPER fast! All food was expertly prepared and delicious 😋 The Oatmeal and eggs benedict were amazing. Definitely get a booth with a window on either side of the restaurant to watch the passers-by!

My first time at Pershing Square and I was not disappointed! I ordered the fettuccine pasta with vegetables in a pesto sauce for lunch and it was amazing. The portion was generous and I ate the whole thing! Food baby! The service was great. As a matter fact, we had several servers and they were all very polite, friendly. Decent prices too. My entreé was $22. The only thing I didn’t care for was how loud it was! Overall, I highly recommend Pershing Square for a business lunch, out with friends, maybe not a first date if you want to talk and get to know each other.

Stopped here twice for breakfast during a recent visit to NYC and had two different experiences (both good). The first morning was a weekday and the place was packed and buzzing with business people getting breakfast before work. We loved the hustle and bustle and people watching. The second morning was a Saturday where it was pretty much empty - it was peaceful and serene and we had time to appreciate the building and the décor. Food on both occasions was delicious. They also pride themselves on their coffee, which did not disappoint and was plentiful. It's expensive there, but you're paying for the location and the overall experience. Only criticism is the plates were cold so the food cooled down quickly. Other than that, everything was great.

Great place for brunch! This place is literally across from Grand Central! The food came pretty quickly and was delish. Highly recommend chicken club sandwich and chicken pot pie. Why did i give service 4 stars. One our waiter came by once to ask if everything was good and then returned later to say because of shift change he wanted to introduce the new waiter taking over. The bathrooms were disgusting per my friend and we got there at 12. Another customer complained and they were cleaned. I don’t use public bathrooms too often so not an issue for me. Over all was a good experience.

Last full day in NYC for Brekkie. Manager who took us to table recognised our accent was Scottish made a joke and was very nice so good start. Our waiter took a while to come to us never brought us water which we asked for. Food was very good. Asked waiter for a beer but never came. Decided to ask for bill. Gave 10% smallest tip over full week. 5 stars if waiter bothered a bit more

The experience here is wonderful, great homey vibes with wonderful food. I arrived here for dinner and ordered duck breast with pancakes. The food definitely hit the spot! Next time though, I’d probably get the pancakes with a different entree item. Although I really enjoyed the food and the vibes, the one thing I did not apppreciate was how I would often feel rushed by the waiters. The bus boys were clearing my table when I was clearly not finished and, even though there were many free tables available, I was consistently pressed for the check. In fact, at the end, the check was just placed on my table when I was in the middle of enjoying my meal with my friend. tdlr; great food, not so great service

The famous breakfast restaurant just in front of Grand Central Station, New York. High-end restaurant, great ambience, very efficient staff. Seating, order taking, food service, and billing are handled very professionally and promptly. For a simple breakfast (scrambled egg, few strands of bacon, house potato fry, and a cappuccino) costs 34 dollars, including 15% tip. If you are budget traveller don't step in here, plenty of reasonably priced restaurants available around that area.

The place is really nice, the food can be better, it’s famous for the pancakes and the French toast. I got the avocado toast, it’s how I benchmark the taste of a restaurant. I will come back for another try, and I’m sure it’s gonna be better.

D
Dariusz Jemielniak (Pundit)

An ok place for a quick breakfast. Egg's Benedict are quite fine, although they come with just a salad. Coffee latte is ok, but not great - the taste is rather bland. The service is quick and attentive.

D
Dan Watrous

We visited when the AC was broken, but the food was still good. My only complaint is that for my party of three they automatically added an 18% gratuity and then listed suggested gratuity and a spot to write in tip on our credit receipt. Gratuity by its definition should never be automatically added by the restaurant without prior warning. I think this was a violation of NYC regulations to apply automatically to a party of 3.

There are few places to get Belgian waffles a lot of places do pancakes but let me tell you this place does not disappoint although they were super busy they get the food out fast the presentation was wonderful and the quality was great the service was top-notch. (Although you do specifically have to ask for ice with your water if that's what you're into). I would definitely visit this place again next time I'm in town

L
Linnette Cruz

Honestly, I felt for location, reservation request, and price that service show of been top tier. I wasn't impressed with the wait staff and the hostess could have been friendlier. I had to ask 3 times for water with lemon, food came out and had to ask for mayo/ketchup at least twice then I wasn't drinking beer but it was added to my bill. The wait staff is not attentive. Actually, my daughter made the observation that once I said just water and no alcohol that the waitress was uninterested by how she behaved afterwards. She didn't even apologize for the mistake on my receipt but someone else said they made the mistake.

M
Melika Shahhosseini

The place is beautiful and staff are very friendly and nice. We had omelette and Belgium waffles and loved both. Waffles were very light and delivered and the omelette was full of cheese which I love!! Coffee was good too and you can watch the people rushing around you from the window. It’s just a little overpriced which I think is becyof the location.

Thanksgiving here was a nice change up from busier or more expensive places or cooking at home. Enjoyed a nice simple turkey dinner with sides (soup was delicious, cranberry side portion was far too small-just a small spoonful, oh no that's my fav!), friend had delicious seared tuna with mango avo slaw appetizer (always on menu, I'll be back for this), duck entree (local L.I., tasty) and a hard cider and G&T. Very attentive intuitive service, we weren't rushed, seating was perfect (in a booth with good views), wasn't loud or overly crowded like places in Grand central or nearby can be. Bathroom was clean, no issues at all. Really enjoyed a good meal at this cool location- looks industrial because it literally under a roadway though you'd never know from lack of sound or vibration. Didn't need to dress up too much either, it's nice casual, ideal to meet friends or take a date and affordable. Obviously the location can't be beat, easy to reach by any subway, uptown or downtown buses, cab or Lyft/Uber.

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at Pershing Square because sometimes you just want to feel fancy and pretend you don’t care about prices.Spoiler: I cared. I ordered a simple omelet with sausage and mushrooms. My wife went for the corned beef and hash omelet, which already sounded like it had its life together. When my food arrived, it looked amazing… except the sausage was missing. It was like ordering a Marvel movie and getting no superheroes. Once they fixed it, though? Delicious. Worth the temporary heartbreak. My wife loved her meal too big portion, cooked perfectly, and absolutely no missing ingredients. Overall, the food was great, the vibe was nice, and the prices made my wallet cry a little. Would I go back? Yes. Will it be anytime soon? Absolutely not. I need time to financially recover from this breakfast.

I’ve gone several times but this last time was meh The kitchen was very slow, the food took a lot of time to arrive, the order of my husband arrived with the wrong item and had to wait a lot, his food came after I’ve almost finished mine. I must highlight that the servers had a good service, only the food was very slow. The hot chocolate drink is a must! Would return for the chocolate drink but not for the food. The place had a good atmosphere

Very cool atmosphere under the tracks across from Grand Central Station. Menu with lots of choices and good fresh food. However very expensive for what you get ($25 for pancakes!). Our breakfast was nothing to write home about, but not bad. Service was inconsistent. Probably not a go to for brunch in the city.

The place was packed! It is to be expected since this place is located in the center of NY and we visited during Christmas week. The Wait was a bit long and service very slow. Although the hostess was very charming and our server tried his best. I ordered the lentils and quinoa dish with sunny side up eggs. The eggs needed a bit more time cooking but overall a good balanced dish. The best experience for me was their latte, Perfectly done! Although, too small for the price, I wanted more! Overall, it's a good place to visit with fam and friends to experience the New York rush atmosphere.

The waffle was soft and tasty, but the downside is that it wasn’t crispy as expected. Prices are slightly on the higher side, however the service was fast and there was no waiting time, which is a big plus. Overall, a good experience and a nice spot for a quick, relaxed breakfast.

We visited this restaurant for breakfast during our first visit to New York City. They have amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. I had the eggs Benedict and they were very good. My daughter had an omelette and she enjoyed it very much. The service was a bit slow, but they were busy so it was understandable.

Prices are incredibly high here because of tourist pricing. Taste is okay but nothing special. Lots of seating, and it’s mostly a business clientele. Service is functional and efficient.

Little expensive. However, its a beautiful brunch spot. The food was presented beautifully, the staff was pleasant, and I love that someone from the kitchen brings your food to you personally.

A beautiful and classic American restaurant nestled in the heart of the city, right across from Grand Central—one of the true gems of Beaux-Arts architecture. The atmosphere is truly unique, making this spot a must-visit. I had the classic burger, which was delicious. Definitely recommended!

Classic New York layout and atmosphere here. Wonderful service. Serves plenty of business-goers for breakfast before they begin the day around the buildings and also those looking for a quick shot of coffee. We had breakfast here and in particular the eggs set - was well done overall though nothing too fantastic I would say. Very American style and a good decent one at a pretty reasonable price. Alfresco dining also available. It can get pretty noisy indoors as well due to the morning crowd. Located within Grand Central Terminal and very visible once you exist via 42nd Street. Heard their waffles are great too; will be back to try in the future and maybe for lunch!

It's fine. I was expecting more from the food given the atmosphere and the prices. But, it was pretty standard. The orange juice was good, however not $10 good (especially when I can go to any juice bar in the city and get a larger one for the same price or cheaper). I got the eggs benedict and it was good, solid even but was pretty standard for what you'd expect. The eggs were slightly overdone so not as runny as I wanted but can understand that poaching perfectly at scale is a tough skill. The service is amazing, everyone was very attentive and nice. The aesthetic is also great.

Amazing location and atmosphere, the choice of teas were good. The trapot didn't pour, it dribbled, all over the table. I pointed out to the serve staff that a teapot that can't pour should not be in their collection. They didn't even take it away and bring me a working teapot. I had 3 cups drunk and about the same on the table. The chicken pot pie sounded good and was mostly delicious- the peas were a bit to hard, crunchy for my taste.

I was walking around Grand Central area one day and walked in to this area. Lots of people sitting, standing and passing thru from and to Grand Central Station. A very busy area. Restaurant on one side and coffee station on the other.

The location is prime with plenty of seats. I heard a lot of good things about this place, however, my experience wasn’t great. The service was super slow and forgetful. They brought us breakfast menu and then we realized there is also a brunch menu and asked for it. It took forever until the brunch menu showed up. we were there around noon. I don’t know why they didn’t bring the brunch menu in the first place, I also asked for the lunch menu which never showed up on the table. I asked for the steak to be medium rare however, it came well done. I’ll give it another try next time since everybody talk good but as of now it’s 2.5 out of five for me by the way they also made mistake with our drinks. My bloody Mary went to my friend and her tomato juice came to me.

Beautiful space and great service. I’ve been here for breakfast several times because I often have morning meetings nearby. Today came for lunch with my wife and we had vegetarian chili, avocado salad, and creamed spinach to split. The chili was frankly awful. Just a lot of canned tomatoes and overcooked onions with chili powder. The salad and spinach were great. The service was wonderful as always and the space is beautiful. So, while this is not in my top 100 best restaurants in NYC, I do recommend it—especially for breakfast.

We were looking for a late lunch spot. This place caught our attention and we were quickly seated in a great window booth. Service was quick -- there were few other diners at our off-hour mid-afternoon craving. We ordered a chicken bacon club to split along with a salad and fries. The ordering was the high point. Well, the fries were those yummy thin fries that arrived pretty hot, screaming Eat Me! The sandwich had no flavor. I mean: At All. Maybe I tasted some wheat in that bread. Maybe not. Salt helped. But it was lacking any semblance of real food. Meanwhile, in our great booth seat we watched the cascading line outside of Los Tacos No. 1. Even mid-day that place was hopping. I doubt we would have gotten such a great place to sit, but we would have likely eaten food that had some umph to it. So...go for drinks! Or maybe the breakfasts others rave about. But in my experience, this in decidedly not the spot for an off-hours lunch.

The End of an Era (insert tear here!) As a frequent visitor to Grand Central Terminal, I have been dining at Pershing Square Cafe for more than 20 years. I order the same thing every time, the pancakes, because they are (were) literally the best I have ever had! They even used to have a small, unadorned sign saying "World's Best Pancakes" in the front window. Unlike the "best coffee" sign in Elf, this statement was true! But today, I found out that they no longer serve this New York treasure. I was given an order of pancakes that I could get at any local diner or bagel shop. Instead of the thin, delicate, yet fluffy ones they always served, I received very plain, thick pancakes, and to add possible injury (salmonella) to insult, they were undercooked! I sent them back and got the waffle instead, which was "meh." If anyone out there was an aficionado of these classic PSC pancakes, please add your voice here, or write your congressperson! This aggression will not stand. I will attach photos of the ridiculous and the sublime (The one with the powdered sugar is the original. They even took away the powdered sugar now!)

I’ve seen this place on the commute and thought it would be a nice decompression cafe/restaurant for after work. The interior is dated but in a throwback to old classic nyc style type of way. And is in general very inviting. I was seated quickly and in my own booth. Everyone who helped with service was prompt, polite, and warm. The menu was so limited and boring. I really didn’t want to order anything because there was NOTHING interesting! I needed up ordering a Waldorf Wrap which was off the specials menu. It was bland, lacked any type of flavor, the chicken seemed off. The fries were nice. I probably will not be returning again ever. Sad given it has such great location!

The pancakes were good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. The prices were a bit too high, but every restaurant is expensive in NY. The hostess was polite, however there was a long wait time from the time we sat down to when the waiter came to ask what we wanted to drink (~7 mins). Also, he only attended us 3 times; when he took our order, brought our drinks, and when we asked for the bill. It’s a nice place to eat at but I wouldn’t go again because of the service.

Mixed experience. A big thank you to the waiter who took care of our table. He was as warm as could be and gave excellent advice. But before he helped us, his two female colleagues simply ignored us. It’s not very pleasant to see them deliberately avoid eye contact and the calls from my family, just one meter from our table. The kind gentleman served us and even got scolded by one of the women, which I didn’t really understand, given that he was the only one running around and actually taking care of us. 😅

We decided to try this restaurant for breakfast after hearing a recommendation, thinking it might be a worthwhile splurge. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a big disappointment from start to finish. Right away, the prices raised eyebrows — a single Belgian waffle was around $24, as were the pancakes and omelette. Even a small cup of orange juice or coffee was $10 each. Still, we figured the quality or portion sizes might justify the cost. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. When the food arrived, the portions were surprisingly small. The omelette was a basic single-pan size, and the pancakes came as a small stack of three or four. Worse, the quality didn’t match the upscale pricing. The eggs over medium were cold and overcooked on the outside, clearly from a griddle that was too hot, and even after being sent back, they returned warm but still burned. The pancakes looked nice at first but were doughy and undercooked in the middle — again, a sign of rushed or uneven cooking. For such steep prices, the food was plain, poorly prepared, and nowhere near the level of quality you’d expect. Honestly, the Dunkin’ Donuts across the street could have provided a better breakfast for a fraction of the cost. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the premium price. If you’re looking to spend a little more for great breakfast food, you’re better off taking your money somewhere that actually delivers on flavor and quality.

Atmosphere was great. Service was horrible we never saw our waitress after we ordered. Food was ok. I never had a lobster roll with a filling in it. It was more like lobster salad. My $10 side salad was not worth it. The French onion soup was the only good thing we ate.

Came in the day before for a take away coffee which was really good. Decided to return as I'm craving a sit down meal after traveling. At first the eggs where under cooked, they fixed it but left me with over salted dry and chewy bacon. Go for the coffee but skip the rest. It's priced to highly to be bad.

Nice atmosphere but strangest place I have been in New York. The personnel at the reception (not the lady sitting, but apparently supervising) seemed pretty arrogant, strange, and not much welcoming. They could not charge a phone because apparently at some point "20 people were requesting to charge their phones" - but I could go and buy a charger to charge my phone. Dumbest and lamest excuse. The overall setting destroyed the whole experience. The nice lady serving us at the table was very attentive - that is why the 1 Star. Still, would not recommend and also not come back.

I was really looking forward to a nice breakfast, but my experience here was pretty underwhelming, especially for the price. I ordered eggs that cost $22, and they arrived cold and frazzled, as if they’d been sitting out for a while. Unfortunately, the rest of the food didn’t make up for it. The pancakes were doughy, the toast was hard, and the waffles were dry—none of it tasted fresh or worth the high cost. Even small details were disappointing; the napkins felt like thin pieces of paper. On top of that, both the food and drinks were noticeably overpriced for what you get. Overall, this meal felt like poor value for money. If you’re considering coming here for breakfast or brunch, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for better quality and a fairer price.

Party of 4. One drink was forgotten and only brought out after we reminded the staff. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, and several items arrived cold, including the mashed potatoes. The chicken and duck were extremely dry, the risotto undercooked and overloaded with butter, and the burgers were mediocre. For the location, we expected much better service and food quality. Overall, a disappointing experience, we would not return.

Very disappointing experience. The male manager behind the counter was rude, dismissive, and spoke to us in a way that felt openly racist and discriminatory. It made the whole visit uncomfortable from the start. The food was just as bad — especially the burger. It was dry, overcooked, and tasted off. It barely resembled a real burger and honestly made me feel sick. Definitely would not recommend.

Visited Pershing Square for breakfast with my sister, and the experience was quite disappointing. The host at the entrance seemed unfriendly and gave off a very negative vibe, making us uncomfortable. He appeared completely disinterested in tourists like us, but was noticeably more polite and welcoming to people in suits. We were directed to a table that hadn’t been cleaned, and when we pointed it out, he didn’t respond well. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for it — the Eggs Benedict were overcooked and lacked flavor. His ( host) attitude completely ruined our day in the morning itself. Wouldn’t recommend this spot to tourists — especially if you’re looking to start your day with warmth and good food.

really disappointed with this experience. despite having A LOT of empty spaces, they gave me a really poorly positioned table, where all the staff were passing, gathering, collecting glasses etc. which made my experience a lot worse. i ordered a pumpkin soup - nothing special, yet overpriced. and the crab cakes had a sort of salad, unfortunately BATHED in lemon juice which made my stomach hurt instantly. definitely not worth 50+$ for some meh food with a terrible seating.

It’s a restaurant that is a waste of money and loss of feelings. Usually in the morning, I like to eat here because it‘s easy and comfortable. But recently, I’ve had a very bad experience. Ordered a medium- rare steak, but the meat is very tough and very difficult to cut. Moreover, I forgot the Airpod at the store and called back and forth to get a rude and disrespectful answer. That don’t have not here. Why didn‘t you treat it? And I myself opened the GPS location and found that the staff in the store was the one who took it. In addition, the answer I got was from the Host and manager. I will not forget this experience.

This place is beautiful but ruined by the terrible customer service of the Hispanic staff. It took 3 times for two people to make a matcha instead of a latte, it's really not that difficult. That is not the main problem but when they say to your face that a latte is a matcha thinking you are stupid that ticks my nerves. I would really encourage the restaurant to consider some staff changes.

We arrived as it was due to open at 7am. There are two doors and the lady who came down to open them could clearly see us standing at one set of doors but for some reason decided to go to the other set of doors to open them first which felt very rude and in polite. I asked for some Tabasco sauce. The guy walked away and never returned. I asked another staff member for some Tabasco who promptly returned with a different brand of hot sauce showing just how slack the service is here. The corned beef hash that we ordered was greasy and hard to chew and the eggs were not cooked as requested. They also forgot extra items that we ordered. Just a complete shambles all round.
