Cheyanne was my waitress. She was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. The She Crap Soup was amazing! It was smooth and buttery. The crab tasted fresh in the soup. I also had a Sea Bass Taco, and that was also delicious. The green papaya slaw paired well with the fish and mole verde. The Chocolate Passion Fruit Bomb was delicious. The passion fruit was not overpowering with the chocolate. The chocolate soil had a nice crunch to it perfect for when it was on the anglaise. The dessert was rich and flavourful. The snowbird cocktail was delicious especially with the toasted coconut and sugar on the rim. Cannot wait to have more of the She Crab Soup.

Had a lovely time at brunch! Had the lobster quiche and loved it! Plus you can't beat $3 bloody Marys and mimosas! Astraea was our server and she was amazing, super friendly and attentive. Our coffee had no hope of being empty ;) We will be back!

1st of all, my servers were AMAZING (Karter and Ryan) funny story, Ryan created the drinks i enjoyed and they were so good! I enjoyed the Banana O.F. (🤤), Life is Peachy and 24 Carrot . We also enjoyed the fish wings, but to be honest I thought they were gonna be fish sauce flavored wings, not fish collars with a super amazing flavor. I even enjoyed the pickles on it....PICKLES! 🤯. When you go, and Ryan or Karter with a K serve you, let them know Omar sent you, you will gain nothing by doing so, but who knows right?

An excellent premium seafood restaurant in the Hilton Hotel. Judging by the occupancy, it's a popular and well-attended spot. The menu is well-designed to satisfy any taste, and the wide selection of drinks will keep you happy. I personally enjoyed the fish, but I'm sure the meat dishes will be equally impressive.

Kyle made our Valentine’s Day brunch extra special. He allowed me to order something that was off menu and took absolutely amazing care of our entire dining experience. If you go to saltine definitely ask for Kyle as your server.

We had such a wonderful experience at Saltine tonight! Our server, Alexa, did an amazing job—she was warm, attentive, and truly took great care of us from start to finish. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and Alexa made the whole visit even better. We were also lucky enough to enjoy the Christmas parade right outside the window, which made the evening feel extra special and festive. Highly recommend Saltine and definitely ask for Alexa, she’s fantastic! 🎄✨

Chef Bert Created a masterpiece with his scallops dish. Since I am not a grits fan, I substituted the cheddar grits with the succotash. OMG the mixture of flavors was out of this world! I also had fabulous oysters – don’t miss out on the laughing kings – recommended by Oyster ChefJames Who hate it out of the park every time I come here! It’s like he can look at you know what you need more than you do and recommend how to take care of your soul! Don’t miss out on the Nikkia Who served us with care, wit, and a masterful understanding of the menu and what substitutions to make to fulfill the evening! Bravo To the salt team management for hiring James and his colleagues!

James and Qareeb were outstanding hosts at the oyster bar. They made me feel welcome and provided world class presentation of the oyster and shrimp dishes I ordered right there at their oyster bar during happy hour. Terrific service. Exemplary happy hour deals. Superb atmosphere. Will stop by every time I’m in town.

We had an incredible dinner! Started with the calamari (highly recommend), followed by the red snapper with the potatoes and squash. We requested a two pound snapper that was more than enough to split between. Shoutout to Val for the recommendation and the incredible service!

Happy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and great service from our server Alexa earned 5 stars from us last night! The happy hour $3 oysters were fresh and flavorful. For dinner I had oyster stew and halibut with succotash. Delicious!! Special thanks to Alexa for such an enjoyable time.

Highly recommend sitting at the oyster bar and then dinner but either way great atmosphere and service especially James who is the Oyster King! Best oysters on the east coast for sure! Even so good that our 10 year old tried her first oyster and loved it!

This place was very chill and laid back. The atmosphere was very calm and classy. The food was delicious, But nothing tops our server Kyle, He was such a sweetheart very helpful and to top it all off, we share the same birthday.

Ana provided excellent service. She was patient, kind, and helpful when deciding what to order from the brunch menu. The food was great and I enjoyed my experience overall. I highly recommend going here!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. It was very charming, nice atmosphere and welcoming. We met our waiter Kyle who was probably the nicest, informative and best customer service waiter I have ever met! This waiter was a previous culinary chef and he described all ingredients in the food we ordered and explained how it was prepared and cooked. Very sweet and generous guy! The she crab and clam chowder soup was delicious. I would have wanted it just a little warmer. The braised short ribs was delicious. My husband’s lobster and steamed/grilled vegetables was so good. Kyle recommended different oysters to start with and they too were really tasty. The chocolate Druers ice cream was perfect end to our night.

James is the kind of worker that turns a good oyster bar into a great one. From the moment I sat down, he was knowledgeable, personable, and the reason I will be coming back. His oyster recommendations were spot-on (clearly knows his stuff), and he explained everything in a way that made ordering fun. Maaaan! One of the best oysters place ive ever been in states! The .50 cents happy hour is insane! And a $1 shrimp!! I had to get 2 dozens of oysters and a dozen of shrimp! Calamari is great as well. Our birthday celebration in January for my sister-in-law was a ton of fun and filled with memorable taste experiences. We started with champagne and shared the raw oyster combo. May have been the BEST oysters I have had, EVER! Next we all had the creamy she crab soup. Full of flavor and plenty of crab. The smoked fish dip was smokey and mild. The crab cakes were broiled to perfection and were moist with just the right amount of seasoning. Yummy! We shared the crisp caesar salad too. Lastly, Kyle (the most professional waiter in the world) entertained us with the Chocolate Orb dessert. That dish is an experience in itself and fun to share! Thank you Kyle for making our experience perfect.

I come in town for work and every time I come to Saltines for dinner. Such a great restaurant. Awesome seafood and great atmosphere. My waitress tonight was Alison and she was such a delight and so attentive. I 100% recommend Saltines

I love Saltine. Their Happy Hour is a must-go! You can’t beat 50¢ local oysters. Plus, James and Emma gave us great customer service. This will be my new go-to post work happy hour.

I truly loved the customer service and the food selection for brunch. My daughter enjoyed her jumbo cinnamon roll! The fish dip had more fish in it than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The portion were nice because I was full but not overly stuffed. The atmosphere in this restaurant is easy going and would be cute for a date night.

Our service by Kyle was exceptional, he really went above and beyond to make sure we are well taken care of. It was our first time there, so he took time to explain and us through. Definitely will visit again if we come by the 757!

My man James was slaying on the oyster bar tonight for happy hour. Excellent conversation and oysters were beautifully presented and delicious. We enjoyed every moment we spent here. Excellent service, will return.

I’m becoming a regular customer for a while , this place has the biggest and best selection of Chesapeake area oysters that I’ve seen. Their Happy Hour specials Monday through Friday are practically a steal! Great service from James and Kyle at the Raw Bar, these guys are always so friendly and attentive to everyone. They will always help you find the right oyster for your taste!

Our server, Taylor from Arkansas was out of this world she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Went with a group of eight people and had a really good time. The food was very good and didn't take too long to come out after we ordered it. The server, Kyle, was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the menu and food in general. A couple of people in the party ordered scallops and raved about how good they were. My wife said her oysters were outstanding. Everything I had was also very good, although I would have preferred my shrimp be warm and not chilled. All in all it was a very good experience and we will likely go back when we return in the fall.

You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. And the food? SO GOOD. The mussels and ceviche were bomb! Fresh, flavorful and perfectly prepared. Definitely coming back! Was visiting the area from Richmond and wanted seafood so I decided to try Saltine since it seems they had such good reviews. I started off with the she-crab soup which was creamy and full of crabmeat, the charbroiled oysters and a crafted cocktail the Naked & Famous but it was a no for me. They were nice enough to allow me to switch it out for the NFK Punch which was very similar to a Jamaican rum punch. The oysters were ok but I prefer chargrilled. For my main course, I had the crab cake with the succotash, which I loved and added a scallop. The crab cake wasn’t the best I had and I did expect more lump crab. It was mushy to me but had a good flavor. The scallop was cooked perfectly. My server Tempis was awesome and very accommodating. Loved the decor, fish tanks and ambiance. Definitely an intimate vibe. It seems they have a private back room, I assume for large parties and private events.

My first visit with Saltine and the service did not disappoint. Excellent from the hostess getting to the servers, and wait staff. Our server, Melinda was pleasant , knowledgeable about the menu, fast, and, efficient. The food was hit or miss—very inconsistent. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich with the toppings on the side, however I received an overly fried chicken thigh. I know because I clean and cook my chicken at home— big difference in the two raw and cooked. I selected fries for my side and they were thin, crisp and delicious. I shared some and still ate quite a few of them. I sent the chicken back and ordered a plain cheeseburger which way my kind of good with the cheese gooeyness just dripping slightly down the side of the two hand made patties and someone seasoned that beef to perfection because that burger along with some fries will have me returning!! Along with my burger, I ordered the braised greens——-pretty, fluffy green kale leaves with sautéed onions and way too much vinegar. The fried shrimp were very tasty as were the crab cakes. The prices are little steep for everyday, however if celebrating a special moment, and would like to splurge, this is the spot. I didn’t even get to the ambiance yet— because this place definitely has ambiance!! The place is cozy and not too overly lit. Perfect for date night or groups. I was a part of a large group and service was still exceptional.

The Food and Wine 🦪 During this quick stop, we ordered the raw bar selection. The oysters were fresh, cold, and served with all the standard accoutrements. 🍷 Drinks: We enjoyed a selection from the broad wine list (available by the glass and bottle), which offered excellent pairings for the briny oysters. Service and Atmosphere Upon entering, we were greeted by a splendid raw bar on the right and an expansive bar on the left. The space features contrasting dark/light tiling, marble surfaces, and warm lighting that creates a sophisticated mood. ⭐️ From the hostess stand to the bartenders, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. Overall A great venue for business meals or date nights for those seeking fresh seafood, an extensive wine list, and professional service.

If you like smokey flavor, the fish dip will satisfy you. The oysters were good, I guess. I'm not a fan, in general, so you'll have to look at other reviews for the oysters. The calamari was good from what I was told. There are no real vegetarian options. I had a Cesar salad which came with 2 sardines on top. The salad was crisp and flavorful.
