Bonefish Grill - Williamsburg

Me and my mother’s overall experience at the Bonefish Grill was amazing. Our waitress, Corynne was super nice and polite. She was very attentive and aware. She made sure to check on us constantly and made certain to make us feel welcome. The staff overall was amazing and the head supervisor, Ricardo was also very pleasant and greeted us very politely and pleasantly. We were also given a nice treat because it was our birthdays. If I could rate this establishment higher, I definitely would.

Service, atmosphere, welcome us to their table just like family food was absolutely amazingly delicious sea bass, lobster, pork chops, tuna, blackened chicken egg rolls, shrimp and a white sauce very good and don't forget the season olive bread very delicious

Amazing!! The food was so delicious I almost forgot to grab a picture, so it's missing a bite or two. ☺️ Heather, our server, was fantastic!! The atmosphere was very relaxing. We will definitely be back.

I have visited many BoneFish Grill locations and this location was awesome, albeit dated. The service and associates were all amazing, and I would definitely visit this location again. I had the BangBang Shrimp (who doesn’t) as well as the Rockefeller Salmon and they were both outstanding! I also strongly recommend the ‘smokey old fashion’, but honestly every adult beverage from the bar is top. In my booth, the seat was worn with visible fabric missing, and in this location the restrooms were less than perfect. I would still visit this location again.

Best experience my wife and I have ever had at a restaurant. Corynne made our 15 year Anniversary a great experience. We had never been to a Bonefish Grill before tonight, but now we can’t wait to return. Thank you Corynne for this experience and We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is on the fence. The food was delicious and cheesecake to die for! Bang Bang shrimp, fresh Ceaser salad, cold, crisp and tasty. Lily's chicken🦸🐔, Fish🐟 'n Chips🛵🛵👮‍♂️👮🏽‍♂️. Appetizer and entree's all well prepared! Bonefish is always a nice experience. Nice atmosphere to chill and chat with your friends, family or fellow bar patrons. Great place for families with children, a couple on a date or when you have a craving for some tasty seafood, chicken or beef. Bonefish is an excellent choice anytime. Last visit Dec 29, 2019

So for our 11th Anniversary my husband took me here. We'd never been before. Our waiter James did an amazing job! I really never had to look for him. He also predicted the things I would need. I love that! He was up beat and all smiles! Supported our special day 100% and I couldn't have asked for more. The level of customer service that James provided last night tells me that he's passionate about what he does. I couldn't let this amazing opportunity pass and not give James the biggest shout-out from the mountain top!! All of the food was top tier! I think I want more Chicken Marsala!

We had an amazing dinner at Bonefish and our waiter Joshua was wonderful. He was pleasant, attentive, explained the menu and answered any questions we had! The food was amazing! Would highly recommend and ask for Joshua to enhance your experience!

Shawn was amazing as always! He was so accommodating and took excellent care of us. Bonefish is one of our favorite restaurants and we are never disappointed by the food and service.

Our waitress did a very good job she was pleasant and made sure we had what we needed. There another gentleman who came by our table as well. He welcomed us and was extremely pleasant and cordial.

Crystal was an excellent waitress. We were visiting at a town and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place. The food was excellent!

There was a large party (2 long tables full) of people that were having some type of party, so it was a bit loud. We had only 1 mixed drink from the bar & it took 15+ minutes to get it made. All of the food was delicious, from the bread & dipping oil to the last bite of my coconut risotto. All in our 6 group party enjoyed both the calamari appetizers & their main courses. Looking forward to visiting again.

Smoked old fashioned is one of the best I've ever had!! Bartender leaves a little to be desired.... cold and stingy with smiles. Cole slaw recommendation was on point tho!!

We had an excellent lunch with chargrilled oysters as an appetizer and blackened Ahi entrees. Our server, Shawn, was super professional, friendly and fast. I highly recommend!

Amazing food all around. The calamari was crispy and flavorful, and the chimichurri steak was cooked perfectly. Loved every bite!

Joshua R was our server and he made our experience top rate. He was attentive and kind. He made recommendations but wasn’t pushy. My husband loved his Parmesan encrusted rainbow trout. Atmosphere was relaxing.

First time visiting this location. Having a decades long connection to restaurants (FOH & BOH), I was impressed with every step of the dining process. It became abundantly clear, training is an important aspect of the restaurant's mission. We were greeted warmly upon entering, seated and told Vera would be our server. Vera arrived soon thereafter, introduced herself and took our Rewards number, before heading off to order our cocktails. Mark, one of the managers, stopped by to thank us for being a member of their Rewards program. It is rare to see "table touching" by managers these days. I appreciated this seemingly innocuous gesture. The restaurant was well staffed and servers moved around the dining room efficiently. We ordered the grouper special and fish and chips. Both were prepared perfectly. Vera came back after the food was delivered to check if everything was to our liking. For me, this is an oft neglected step in service, yet every step was executed effortlessly. This was a great dining experience, and we will return again soon.

We came last week on Thursday night to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. They had 4 very large parties going at the time we dined but we were well taken care of. All of the food was amazing and the service was superb.

We, the four of us went to Boneefish grill for the first time tonight. The server's name was Sky. She was top-notch. My food was perfect. I had steak and lobster. It was so yummy. The manager's name is Ricardo. He is very kind and inviting. So nice. It was a great experience I give it an A+

Our server Kayla Jay was excellent. She was so attentive and anticipated our needs. The food was incredible. We love the happy hour prices we are coming back. This is a new hangout spot. Thank you for thinking about what working people need.!

DANIEL T was our server in the Williamsburg store #0754. He was excellent. We were at table 402. Daniel made our time a quality dining experience. We were so pleased and blessed by our wonderful experience. Thanks Daniel

Josh was an outstanding server. Even though he had more tables than usual, he was incredibly attentive and never made us feel overlooked. He stayed on top of everything, checked in often, and made sure we had a great experience. Truly impressive service.

Joshua was our server. He was awesome! Efficient, professional, and very nice. Food was great as always and out with perfect timing. Josh was even able to get us done and out the door quickly as we had a show we were heading to. Thanks Josh! And thanks, again, Bonefish!

The absolute BEST time here yet. Clarence was also our best server yet. My family and I come here very often because it’s our favorite restaurant in the area. The atmosphere was chill and still very positive and wonderful. Other restaurants in Williamsburg struggle to compete for our service. Go here for a night of great vibes and delicious food.

We dined here for the first time today! The service was spectacular from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was Joshua and he was FANTASTIC! He was very attentive and had good recommendations. The cheesecake he recommended was to die for! We would come here again just for him. And whoever that bartender was, you went CRAZY. Drinks were so good.

Have the seasonal sampler for two. Excellent choice. Originally the server did not want to give us sauces on the side but the front side manager asked us if there was anything he could do to make our meal better? And I said could we please have the sauces on the side since I am diabetic and most of them were sweet. He got the kitchen manager to okay it.

2026 February, Kayla provided excellent service! 1 year ago, Wow 😳 my brother ate here today and said, salmon tasted like cardboard. Servers usually provide good service but a few things to say about the food. 2024-01-14 my family decided to eat here together, service was good, most of the food were okay but there were some things to note here. Some liked the broccoli, some did not like the broccoli. 2 members of my family had bad experiences with the burger, had to return one burger twice since it was cooked too well done on one side and not the other side. The manager eventually took it off of our ticket or bill. I tried the garden salad for the first time, I ate it but it was not the best garden salad. Other than that, everyone else enjoyed the food, service and the time spent together. Calamari is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. 2018-08-25 Emily our server was very nice, Bread, oil and vinegar and pesto was awesome, Bang bang shrimp appetizer tasted so good (little spicy), Ultimate ocean grill entree (rockfish, salmon, shrimp, broccoli, potato au gratin and rice) was really good; we arrived between 4 and 4:30pm, was not busy at all, lady that seated us was very nice, the decor and dining room was very nice and bright 2017-05-13 Bread is always good, service was good tonight (we arrived before 5pm, and this was college graduation, high school prom and mother's day weekend). We only came to eat here because we had a $50 gift card. The caesar salad was good but the tilapia did not taste good and fresh salmon was not cooked enough. In the past, my daughter and I waited 1 hour for a to-go order, standing up at the front door, having to watch so many people be seated etc and I felt humiliated that they took so long to bring us our food even though I was right there at the hostess desk, staring them in the face and giving them a constant reminder that we are waiting for our to-go order. I used to come here often and stopped coming because the food and service are not the best. Tonight, was first time in years, eating at this restaurant, but the dining room was well lit, and not as dark as it was in the past. When we arrived, we saw plenty of tables available, they told us that we had to wait 20 to 25 minutes. While we were being seated, we told the hostess, that we asked for a booth, and they told us that those are all reserved for guests that made reservations at least 1 hour prior to arriving; I found that interesting and we wished that we called and reserved our table prior to arriving.

My sister booked this for my mother’s 75th Birthday Dinner. We had the largest table in the restaurant. I watched the Manager go around and greet and interact with every table except ours and a few other small tables. The only difference between the tables he Greeted and the ones he didn’t was the color of our skin. Now when it was brought to his attention he pained his self to come and speak. The crazy part is he’s black. The food: The Rainbow trout (Regular Version) the was great. It’s a full-size fillet. The Parker’s Version is a smaller portion that doesn’t hold up to the regular version. The pork chop was cooked to perfection finished it before I could get a picture. The Brussel sprouts were also great. The Garlic mash was burnt in taste. The Watermelon tini was not good as well. The Old Fashioned’s were both phenomenal!

This Bonefish Grill located in Williamsburg, Virginia is great and terrible at the same time. The food is absolutely amazing. Our waitress and management were terrible. The food couldn’t have been any better. But our waitress, we don’t think could have been much worse. And the managers aren’t much better. After we were seated and eating our appetizer we finished our drinks (water). We waited 15 minutes before we received any refills. This is completely unacceptable. During this time we had visits to our table from three different managers. Even though the food was fantastic, we will not be returning to this location due to our waitress and the management. Unfortunately we do NOT recommend this location.

Had a leisurely lunch with very little service. Everyone was to busy cleaning and setting up for dinner/functions to pay attention to our table. Food was good, for processed fish, and the French Fries were excellent. The BFG Fish Sandwich was very big, cut the fish in half and still had difficulty getting my mouth around it!! Fish N Chips were solid. Don't know if I would do lunch here again....

I typically am a HUGE fan of Bonefish Grill, but i have to say, I have never been more disappointed in a dining experience. My family attended the "Trick or Tequila" event on Oct 30th, and we were very excited as the menu sounded great and we had been wanting to try an event at Bonefish as we have attended wine events at Carrabba's and Second Street Bistro in the past and they have always been fantastic. On the evening of the event, the reservations and event start time was set for 6:30pm. We arrived at 6:20pm and the event was already underway. The guests all already had their first course and drinks. There were still other attendees arriving as well. We ended up being sat in a booth away from the event as there were no seats together remaining at the event table. Upon receiving our courses, we noticed that for the drinks, they were MAYBE half full, and for $35 per drink package, that was a disappointment. As for the food, two of the four courses were nothing like what was advertised, from the pasta not having the black linguine or the spinach and sundried tomatoes, to the main course plate having MAYBE 5 pieces of squash on the entire plate. (The attached picture was how it was delivered to the table before being touched and so were the drinks you can see in the background) Not to mention, our table of three alone was so inconsistent it was laughable. Every item/drink brought to our table was different, from the portion sizes to the plating. For the cost of $65 PP (our check came u to $216 total), the lack of consistency and expectation of what what advertised vs what was received, it was a HUGE disappointment and I will be sticking to the events at other establishments for the price point. I WOULD NOT recommend the dinner events at this location unless they can work on the consistency and organization of such events. Not worth the price!!!

So disappointing. We are big fans of many Bonefish Grill locations. We always bring friends or numerous family members with us. The server was terrible this time. One time we went here on Mother’s Day with our family, and a server accidentally dumped a tray of food on my well-dressed adult son. He alone was comped a meal. Well, we forgave that, but the server we had this time was worse because she was not attentive, not clearly stated choices, and gave us our bill without asking if we wanted coffee, after-dinner drink, or dessert. So, we went somewhere else for those! She also did not clear any of the multiple dishes on the table. Plus, the $45.95 food special was way less impressive than we are used to at Bonefish Grill. All of the entrees were over cooked, especially the fish fillet. We will not be returning to THIS Bonefish Grill.

I don’t know where to start truthfully. We’ve eaten here before, but this takes the case. Service was terrible . The Amount of money I paid for a meal for two people was ridiculous. Made reservations for 6 PM on a Wednesday. Got there for social hour which I would thought appetizer & drinks would be cheaper but I was the FOOL I should’ve asked. The price for three sliders $15 🥴. The martini that my spouse ordered was sour she sent it back. Even a manager said yes it was bad. Apparently, our server is unable to multitask And I asked for two glasses of water, and she couldn’t keep at least one of them filled with water , and my guest ran out too 😡. I have to be honest the food was good 👌🏿. But again, not for what I paid for it. And I even got a discount . Oh, whatever you do do not get the crabcake it’s $9.00 per crabcake should’ve been more or less like $3.99 and I’m being honest. I’m gonna show you my receipt I’m gonna show you my food you tell me you be the judge, To me it wasn’t worth $100. Oh, let me go back they try to overcharge me. I brought it to the managers attention, and she corrected it but still. You know the old saying? Get me once shame on you get me twice shame on me I will not be going back no time soon. Sign, unhappy couple 🥴🤔😡😳🤨😫😡

they do not know how to cook steak!!! either that, or they are simply careless. i ordered a well done steak, which by all means should be possible with any cut of steak if you are a professional cook. steaks not cooked make me physically ill, okay. it came out wrong, which i wasnt too bothered at first and politely asked them to take it back. the problem is after this, it appears they put it back on the grill only to be at high heat and not flipping it, because THIS is what they handed back to me claiming to have fixed it. so disappointing, and ruined my whole meal and experience. i dont usually complain either– keep that in mind. they treated me carelessly.

I’d love to give an excellent review, the atmosphere was beautiful, the music was not too loud, there were hardly any other guests. We came in and were seated immediately, though the hostess looked around at their nearly completely empty restaurant and asked if a booth would be ok. Maybe I should have taken the hint that we were not guests they wanted to serve since they had a need to look in the first place. When seated the partner selection sheet we were given was so grease stained and dirty that it was difficult to read. We decided on our meals, waited… and waited… and waited…. After 20 min no one had even thought to bring water or ask us what we would like to drink, much less take our order. So, looking around the empty dinning room, we made the decision to leave. I know the favorite excuse for bad service is “low staffing,” however that’s unacceptable when there are not other guests. Also, having worked in the restaurant industry, the hostess is usually responsible to make the guests aware of delays, and can usually at least bring drinks or appetizers in a pinch. Bridgette Jones, managing partner, maybe stick to writing a diary. You certainly haven’t managed staff very well.

Had reservations already made for Valentine's Day, only to walk through the door for them to tell me and my party the kitchen was over crowded and that they couldn't take any more people because the kitchen was booked!! They didn't call me or anything. To make a long story short, nothing was offered for their inconvenience.

Our Valentine’s Day experience at Bonefish Grill was extremely disappointing and fell far below expectations for a special occasion. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM, yet we were not seated until about 15 minutes later. We placed our full order when the server first came to the table, and while the appetizer arrived in a reasonable time, our main courses were not served until after 8:00 PM. To make matters worse, just 10 minutes before our meals arrived, my husband was informed that the restaurant was out of linguine and asked to substitute cavatappi. This is something that should have been communicated much earlier. When the food finally arrived, my shrimp stuffed with lobster was cold, and there were only two small pieces of lobster among six shrimp. My husband’s pasta was only slightly warm and looked poorly presented. Spending nearly two hours for a subpar dinner on Valentine’s Day was frustrating enough, but the complete lack of apology or acknowledgment from management was unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these service and quality issues. A special occasion dinner should feel special, and this experience was anything but.
