WOW! The best meal we’ve had on our trip- really classy beautifully presented and tasty food. From the fab homemade pretzels to the little tomatoey amuse bouche as little xtra to the lunchtime tasting menu . We added the wine flight which was excellent too. Every course was fantastic - beautiful ingredients and wonderfully prepared and cooked. The service was delightful - attentive friendly but not invasive. We sat outside on the little balcony with the most stunning views across the “Barolo” vineyards. The chef was so creative and it was lovely that he came out to the tables after cooking to chat to us. A fabulous fabulous lunch . Thank you all so much
What an amazing experience! This is by far, the best meal we have had during our 5-week trip As we first entered the restaurant, we felt so welcomed! The restaurant had a great menu and excellent wine list. Then the views from our table of the fields of vineyards below added a great ambiance We began with a “Italian style lasagne taste” for our appetizer.” Such a fun taste of styles. Then For my main dish, I chose the “Spaghettoni with clams, Piedmontese carpione beurre blanc sauce.” My husband chose the “Plin: traditional ravioli served into the napkins, veal consommé.” Before our foods came, we were treated to a super yummy warm small pretzel with a tiny dipping bowl of butter and then a little “puff” pastry that absolutely melted in our mouths. Our meals were excellent - both with great unique flavors! The pastas were freshly made and were so wonderfully delicate. During our meal, Chef Otto, came by our table to share information on our selections and both he and Elisa were there to insure our meals exceeded expectations. Additionally, the staff, Gaia, was an excellent addition and again was available to make this a special experience We finished our meal with an expression and again a little surprise was deliver to the table - little miniature desserts to enjoy with our expresso We just can’t wait to return! By far, the best meal we have had during our 5-week vacation!
After visiting another very disappointing gourmet restaurant in the region earlier in the week, we were hoping Langotto Ristorante lived up to their good reviews. And they absolutely did - and beyond that. This was one of the best meals we have had in our many years visiting Piemonte. It was for sure worth a Michelin star! The restaurant was very classy, and the waiters were so service minded during the night. It was a true pleasure! As for the food it was simply amazing starting with very nice appetizers, followed by the set menu where all food was made with perfection. We can truly recommend the place and we will absolutely return again next year.
We had an excellent meal here. The owners and staff provided a very welcoming environment, dietary requirements were well catered for. Beautiful food and wine with gorgeous views of the Langhe.
Went to the restaurant as a family of four. Since it was a fine dining, I was a little worried with little kids whether we’ll be welcome. However, the staffs were very friendly. It was a great excursion from Barolo to check out Novello as well. Barolo is a small town and you won’t have as many choices as you’d like. This restaurant provides just that variety. Well worth the trip from Barolo and highly recommend! p.s. small pretzels were served as amuse-bouche which made me feel confused/concerned for Italian restaurant with French touch but it was the best pretzel I ever had. I live in Germany so I can support my claim. ;)
We had the utmost pleasure of dining at Langotto Ristorante for our wedding dinner in September 2024. Right when we first arrived, we knew it was the best choice we could have made. Elisa and Otto were very communicative and accommodating to adjustments to our wedding dinner menu. The staff were friendly and professional, and they treated our family and friends like their own treasured family. The food was exquisite and the dinner was well paced to allow for maximum enjoyment. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have an unforgettable dining experience in Piedmont. Thank you so very much for making our special day so memorable!
You know.. There can only a few things that can be said. This is a master piece in Piedmont. Chef Lucca not only is from northern Langhe and Borolo district but is a chef in one’s own right. From Service to selection of wine pairings and the menu is just hard to explain the level that one experiences. Problem is once you eat here and if you do , it will be very very difficult to eat even in other places rated close to Langotto. Bravo . The view and chefs presentation of what was on menu of the day was exactly what one dreams of when they come to see Alba, Borolo, La Mora .. The Piedmont. Don’t miss Plin Ravioli, Slow Stewed Beef, Foix Gras Ravioli, Seabass .. too many to describe and the selection of local sheep and goat cheeses with magnificent pairing of Barbaresco with lighter choices and Barolo with slower stewed beef. Bravo again to Chef Lucca! This is Michelin beyond ..
One of the best experiences we had on the trip. Not only one of our best meals but also an amazing value for the price. I think 7 maybe more courses and 5 glasses of wine for under 80 euro per person. We had a noon lunch reservation and were the first people in the restaurant. My wife asked if she could make substitutions on the tasting menu. We didn't realize it at the time, but one of the chefs was taking our order and said it would be no problem. Everything was great. The wine tasting came with 4 glasses of wine, but we drank one too fast so they gave us a free one. The ragu was one of the best we had in Italy. The view was also beautiful. Winter isn't the most scenic period in Piedmont, but it has a huge overlook and patio seating for the summer.
Langotto with chef Otto at the helm is among the best restaurants I’ve ever visited - warm, welcoming and professional staff and above all, excellent food. It has an air of fine dining, but at the same time it is like being at a dinner at a friend’s house. Me and my girlfriend are vegetarians and although there are several vegetarian options on the menu they were happy to adapt their tasting menu to suit our diet and the result was nothing short of amazing. Don’t miss this place if you are close by and consider a detour even if you’re not, you won’t be sorry.
A lovely place to dine in Novello. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. I had the lamb and it was delicious. They bring you lots of free additions throughout your meal, including a plate of small desserts. Great wine list of course. If there are just two of you, definitely reserve one of the single balconies outside. The view is insane and it’s so peaceful.
A beautiful restaurant looking down the landscape of Piedmont. The young couple has worked in elevated restaurants in France, and then returned back home to harness their experience with the traditional cuisine of Piedmont. There are various options in the menu, like the tasting menu, lunch menu, or à la cart and a very good wine selection. We took the traditional piemontese tasting menu (40 eur per person, one appetizer, tagliatelle, ravioli, steak, dessert / and they helped me replacing the dishes I wouldn’t eat within appetizers - vegetarian instead of the tartare). The view, warm hospitality, being flexible to modify the menu to help their guests, the wine, all were good. I wish the best success to the young couple in this beautiful town.
