I was across the street when a guy came over complaining that a server had been rude to him for refusing to wear a mask. I then went to the bar for a drink and it was lovely. 10/10 good on them for keeping their staff and patrons safe.

My friends and family went there for our annual adult weekend. The owner Andy gave us exceptional service. I would highly recommend making a visit to the Tow Bar.

Had a girls day trip in Old forge and we had a fee cocktails bar tender was very nice and a couple of patron were there they joined us in some laughs and photos we will be back thank you for the great experience

What an awesome place to relax on a rainy ADK day. Stopped in for a drink, and we were greeted by Ryan. He took our order and made a fabulous drink! Also, they had free popcorn, fuseball, and three large Televisions for watching sports. There is also some great outdoor seating if you like to people watch or wait for the rest of the family going through all the downtown nick/nack shops.

Never been to this bar but my friend found this old ice scraper in the woods and I think that any bar that would give this out as a promotional item is probably cool. Also there are lots of rubber chickens in the photos.

My boys and I were just there. Old Forge,NY t 8/8/2022, LOST POWER tonight, and there were no places open including gas stations to stop in and get something to.eat, we pulled in front of the bar, hoping there would be food, as I walked in to the bar, with my 7 and 10year old , the pleasant bartender lady, said ""sorry but there's no food here"", I asked for bottled water, again it was a no, but the only thing bottled was Saranac root beer, and they had a variety of chips and etc. KATIE(?), A VERY pleasant lady heard us and said that she had some sports drinks , apple sauce , and went in to the back room and grabbed us what she had to offer so we had something to eat in the hotel room , as I returned to the bar to.pay, some good Samaritan, a young guy, had already paid for our root beer and chips the boys have picked out. I offered to pay , but it was not accepted. The folks there, the bar tender, Katie Manager?, and the young guy were so cool helping us out , that even my 7 and 10 year old kept saying that these were very nice people. We thank you again. For your hospitality, and the sharing and caring hearts. It means a lot, and I believe in returning the favor or paying it forward is a ""thing"", and i believe it paid us back tonight via these kind people.

Simply the best place in the Adirondacks to grab a drink and watch the game! The staff here are pleasant, service is great, and the beer selection is solid. The owner is a hell of a nice guy as well!

Nice bar! The inside is pretty good, with TV's and such, but it is the outside patio that makes place. If you can snag a table. Draining a beer while watching the motorcycles, people and dogs to by. Can't be beat.

Seems like each visit here we meet awesome people stopping by for a beverage. This place has the coldest drafts east of Mississippi...brain freeze is temporary, not to be concerned, and it's effects last for years. Say hello to Ryan who loves the Yankees and has great stories.

Great service, cheap beers. We sat on the patio with our dog and the bartender brought out water and treats. Would come back when in Old Forge!

If (on the other hand) you want over-priced fancy cocktails, a Michelin star menu, and the designer label crowd, go somewhere else. (And please don’t leave a bad review because the bar isn’t what you think it should be.) We had a great time and will stop in again the next time we’re in town!

Cash bar only but the drinks are cheap and the bartender made them really good. No kitchen but you can have food delivered to the bar.

Weather your coming in from snowmobiling all day or lucky enough to visit during the summer always a top pick where you can mix with locals

Nice little local bar. It's place that will play live music, they have one pool table and friendly people at the bar to take your order. It's on the main drag so I'm sure they can get pretty busy. Typical corner bar no food prices are a little high for a hole in the wall place but has a pool table and pulls a decent amount of people during tourist season

Went to bar for after party for bachelor party , it was just a simple bar, nothing extravagant . I would not recommend it for anything but a few drinks. Only a simple drink menu and a simple bar menu.

I needed to get money from the ATM, but the live band drummer was set up in front of it. He couldn't move until they went to break. They have a big area where there is a pool table and the band could have played there and not blocked the ATM. Bad setup for live music in a Friday night

Wow. That's all I can say. It would be hard to find a more ignorant bartender. Definitely would not recommend, and we will not be back to this dirty stain on what we used to love about old forge.

My boyfriend and I had come in late on a Monday night and stayed for around 2 hours, we had planned to stay till close until we went up to the bar after playing some games and were talking to some locals about places to visit and things to do as we visit often during the summer. the bartender came over to see if we needed more drinks but we decided not to after he added “I only work on tips so I hope you’ll give me a little something it’s kind of rude not to” to which I responded that my family owns a bar/restaurant and I understand that bartenders make most of their money on tips we just usually wait until we are leaving to tip, so he got his tip and we left. I find it rude to ask for a tip from only 2 people (because he only said this to us with and entire bar full of people he seemed to already know,locals I would assume) Had we been the only ones in there I might’ve felt differently. Otherwise this is a nice place but this interaction will keep us from returning as there a plenty other places around.

We spent around 2 hours at the bar and spent about $40 in drinks, the bartender walked up to us as we were having a conversation with some locals in the middle of our drinks and said quote “ I only work on tips, I hope you guys give me a little something” and never asked another person in the bar for the same we felt very excluded and very much like outsiders.

Very unwelcoming! Even as a life long local who's parents were regulars and friends/friendly with the owner to this day, who also was there with them at times throughout my childhood. I can't imagine being from out of town and trying to spend an evening here.
