This place is SO cute. A little old fashioned hot dog and ice cream shop. Literally what could be better?? The hot dogs?? 10/10. I can’t wait to try the ice cream 😋
Little gem, very clean the atmosphere was pleasant, it wasn't busy so I walked in at a great time, the hotdog was good a Nathan dog, they also had an ice cream shop attached. I'll go again
Watched the coney bros review of here on YouTube so I had to check it our. I'm glad I did! Solid hot dogs and tots. All kinds of different options. Quick service and at a reasonable price. Will definitely be back again!
Very cute restaurant. I paid just under $6 for a beef hotdog (including the 15 cents card transaction fee) + toppings (25 cents). The staff member was nice but it seems he’s running the restaurant alone, so the lack of additional staff (this was during lunchtime at 12:45pm) at a peak hour means you may wait a few minutes. Also, this place shares a space with the ice cream shop. The Doghouse employee works both sides. Parking is a little tight in the back but there is shared street parking near the other businesses. Seating is arranged for 1-2 people per party; there aren’t areas for a larger group except for 4 stools directly at the bar area that separates the Doghouse from the Ice cream place. My experience felt more 4 stars but I suspect it was impacted by the sick customer who was inside sneezing and coughing nearby (gross — stay home). I rounded my experience to 5 stars since i couldn’t even think of anything objectively negative about the restaurant except that I wish there was more than 1 staff member.
A little pricey for hot dogs but worth it. Traveled all the way from St Cloud. My 3rd visit and I'll be back again another day to try something different
so scrumdiddlyumptious i can’t even explain. i salivate just thinking of their urban tots. it’s always empty, so perfect for debriefs of any manner, and the workers are always chill. prices are good too but the real appeal is the big fat 100% beefy hot dogs. i recommend the BLT. please enjoy i need them to stay open

Lived up the road for many years and never tried it, gave it a shot today, pretty mad we haven’t come here sooner. Hot dogs were awesome, the buns were notably delicious, the tot sampler was fire. Will definitely be back.
Come for the loaded tots and gourmet dogs, stay for the adult spiked milkshakes which are amazing (and must be consumed on property since alcoholic)!!! I had the cookies and baileys one, which absolutely slapped, and had bits of real cookies in it. It was handmade by Carlos, who offers great service. There's a small arcade area and chalk to draw on the chalkboard wall. It was a great experience after a long workout, and I'll be back. Definitly try it out.
This place is an absolute gem! The perfect combo of amazing ice cream and seriously good hot dogs. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. What truly sets this spot apart, though, are the owners. They are some of the kindest, most helpful people you’ll ever meet. You can tell this is a place run with heart. The kids loved this spot, and so did the adults. 😝 Delicious food, great vibes, and owners who make you want to keep coming back. Highly recommend! 🍦🌭
Just had my first hot dog there and it was amazing. I haven’t had a decent hot dog since I left West Virginia until today. Oh man I don’t know what took me so long to try this place, but now that I have and it’s in the neighborhood I will definitely be going there. Ice cream and hot dogs in the same place. Amazing.

After 4th of July me and my boyfriend had a craving for some dogs and ordered half the menu. Posting the pics since that's why I look at these things. I was really excited for the tsunami but it actually was my least favorite. I'm posting a ranking of my favorites from best to worst, we also had chili cheese tots and if we ordered it as a dog it would be high on the list. 1 - Chicago dog - I've always been a huge fan of a Chicago and this one did not disappoint. 2 - Wild style - its a must try, super unique flavor and the bf's favorite 3 - The King - it has everything, every bite is unique 4 - South of the border - got a good crunch and flavor but mid compared to the others 5 - Uh-oh - I was most afraid of this one but it's surprisingly good and nostalgic 6 - Tsunami - not bad, but not memorable
This is a cool local family-owned place. There aren't any places around like this anymore. Very nice people run it. You can get a lot of unique dogs here. Tater tots are super good too. It is coupled with an ice cream shop as well. I remember one year after a hurricane when power was out in the area, they gave away free ice cream to the community. If you live close by, it's a cool place to walk down to and grab an ice cream and hot dog with the kids. Worth checking out if you're in the area on a day with nice weather.
Needed a quick lunch and this place was nearby. It could use a good cleaning but it’s a fun place with lots of choices for hotdogs. The price is a bit much but still better than a lot of places these days. I had the Chicago dog and pizza tots. Both were very good.

Delicious hotdogs and tots. Several cool options on the menu. We tried the chili dog (pictured) and the everything (think hot dog and everything bagel seasoning). Fountain drink bar attached.
A cool little spot, connected to the ice cream shop. Pretty small, has a hole-in-the-wall feel. Food was good and many options for toppings.
This was our first but, not our last visit! The owner was pleasant and helpful. Everything we had was delicious. Oh, and the ice cream...I had lemon ice which was so refreshing. My husband had the banana pudding which was lip smacking good! We already know what we're getting next time!
Crazy hot dogs at crazy prices. A plain dog at 3x what Costco charges and you have to pay extra for mustard?! Split bun is a terrible idea. Dog and toppings fall out the bottom. That being said it was a good quality dog and they have some cool items like a Tsunami dog or a Tutti Frutti dog. Pizza tots were terrible. Threw them out. Stale and sauce was like tomato soup - thin and had no flavor or spice. Meager amount of cheese. Service is slow when one worker is doing everything. On the pro side this place has a cool retro vibe and is dog friendly. Great concept but needs some work.

We stopped at the Doghouse a couple of weekends ago as we were visiting College Park. We ordered 2 Combo Chili Cheese Dogs ($13.10 each) with an order of Totchos (Tator Tots with Green onion, cheese sauce and bacon) and a canned soda and the second combo with an order of Pizza Tots. The Hot Dogs themselves are thick and flavorful. The Tator Tots tasted fresh and crispy. The Chili was spicier than we enjoyed so we would probably not get chili again….but there are so many toppings to choose from that that will be just fine. They also have ice cream that we will have to try on our next visit. There was only one visible employee and he cashiered, prepared our food and delivered it to our table. Seating is indoor and there are a couple of tables on the sidewalk right off of Edgewater.
Was very excited to try this place. A coworker had recommended a few weeks back and I was excited to finally give it a try! There are a few things that I really liked about the place. First of all, I'm not sure if it is a locally owned place, but it has the feel. I enjoy supporting local businesses. With that said, the menu layout is probably my most favorite part of the place. Don't get me wrong, there are other things I liked. The hot dog was good, and the options are very unique and fun. My biggest gripe has to be the price, as my picture below cost me $13. I understand the costs are going up, but it is still quite expensive for a hotdog and tots. It was an averaged sized hot dog, tasty meat, and fun toppings on an okay bun. The tots looked more like mayonnaise was squirted on it with a bit of garlic and parmesan cheese, not a mixed concoction of tastiness. It was good, but not worth the cost. As such, I wanted to give 5 stars to support a local business, but the price just does not make sense for what you are getting. I'd pay $8 to $10 for what I actually got.

The selections were actually quite limited as far as the ice cream was concerned and very overpriced. I ordered a malt which was basically just a chocolate milkshake. The room is quite small, which is probably normal for a downtown ice cream shop. Just don’t plan on taking more than one person and expect to sit together. The service was very efficient. Basically, this is a Chinese buffet ice cream selection inside a building that has been retrofitted to attempt to feel like an old school soda parlor. Go for the hotdog.

Highly disappointed, we tired many different of their ‘pretopped’ specialty hotdogs and they were all awful. In the pictures they look great, but the quality and taste was terrible. Even the tots were bad and soggy.

Mango sherbert was pretty good. The rest tasted pretty disgusting. This place was so hot none of the mini splits where pushing any cold air. The old man working the place was rude and you could tell he regretted his life choices. Hot dogs where over cooked. I will never return to this store.
I was told this was a hidden neighborhood gem. It was a craphole. It reeked like they must have burnt their grease. The grease felt tangible in the air and I could smell it on my clothes after and I didnt even eat because it was making me nauseous. My daughter had the hotdog and Tots and there was nothing special about it. My wife had the corn-dog with cheese and chilli and felt like the toppings were thin and skimpy. I went to use the bathroom and that was filthy with leftovers from the last person to have used it.
Scam alert came here December 12th. Service was okay. Toppings were subpar. The hot dog itself was pretty decent combo with the taxes and the tip came out to slightly less than $20. The tater tots were rewarmed precooked burnt tasting no salt, it says on the board a combo comes with loaded tots never received the loaded part of my tots. Honestly go to 7-Eleven. You could probably get three or four hot dogs for the same price. Wish the service was better
