Great spot for a sushi date night! The dim lighting creates a really nice atmosphere, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered several dishes to share, and our favorites were the uni toast, yuzu salmon hand roll, bluefin tuna tasting, and the premium nigiri set. The quality of the fish was excellent and the flavors really stood out. They also have a full bar and offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We’ll definitely be back—next time with more friends!
Oza Izakaya was such an elevated dining experience from start to finish. We ordered the Yuzu Hamachi, Grilled Buta Toro, Uni Toast, Chef Selection Sashimi Set, Bonbu Tiger Roll, Fresh Wasabi, and Tokyo Classic Ramen with black garlic — and every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. The Chef Selection Sashimi Set was incredibly fresh with thick, buttery cuts of fish that melted in your mouth. You can really tell the quality is there. The Uni Toast was one of the highlights — rich, creamy uni paired with fresh seafood and crispy toast for the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The Yuzu Hamachi was bright and refreshing, and the Grilled Buta Toro was tender with a nice smoky char. Even the ramen was comforting and flavorful, especially with the added black garlic for extra depth. Presentation was beautiful, service was attentive, and the overall vibe is perfect for a date night or special dinner. It’s not cheap, but the quality and experience definitely justify it. I’d absolutely come back.
The food was incredible! We celebrated a birthday here and had a wonderful time. Our waiter was super attentive too. Overall, we had an amazing experience with lots of delicious food and drinks.
Top of the line, food, service and atmosphere. Loved every moment we spent there, every morsel we ate. Highly recommend, authentic high quality Japanese food. The waitress and other servers were incredibly attentive. We ordered more than two people normally would, but so many things to try. I did not take pictures of everything. 🤣🤣🤣
We stumbled upon this spot after a long, exhausting day at Universal Studios, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The Vibe & Service: The interior features the phrase "Ichi-go Ichi-e" (treasure every encounter) and stocks Ozeki Sake, leading me to believe this is an authentic Kansai-style establishment. The atmosphere is elegant and sophisticated—perfect for a quiet gathering and good conversation. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The Food: As a Japanese restaurant specializing in sashimi and alcohol pairings, it is top-tier. The ingredients were exceptionally fresh and meticulously prepared. The Caveat: My only complaint is the limited menu. While Google lists it as a "Yakitori" shop, they only offered four types of skewers, which was disappointing. They were also out of several fish options. If you're coming specifically for a wide variety of grilled items, you might find the selection lacking. Value: We spent $170 for two, which is quite reasonable/mid-range for Orlando prices. Final Verdict: Despite the limited selection, the quality and ambiance won me over. I’ve added this place to my "favorites" and will definitely return. I truly hope they expand their menu in the future!
Restaurant is very beautiful with a modern deco that offer an inviting atmosphere. We come here for dinner during week day and they're busy and everything we order are good and not a long wait. We order shushi, skewer meat and conch salad and the food quality exceed my expectations will come back when visiting Orlando again.
Oza Izakaya offers an excellent dining experience with high-quality, well-prepared sushi, making it a great choice for sushi lovers. While the food is outstanding, costs can add up quickly if ordering multiple items. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating with our adjustments, which made the experience especially enjoyable. His service stood out, and we were happy to leave a generous tip.
A must for sushi lovers in Orlando. I say at the outdoor bar looking into the restaurant. Neat concept! I couldn't stop eating the food was so good!! The service was great. So many different and delicious items in the menu.
This was such a “spur of the moment” find for us. We were looking for a date night spot close to our apartment and found Oza Izakaya! It did NOT disappoint!!! Food quality was amazing, service was fast, and staff were super friendly! Our server Miguel was such a delight, he helped us choose cocktails and even helped us with menu suggestions. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We went for the late night happy hour on Thursday @ 10:30pm, which they have everyday until the last call around 11:30 ish and most restaurants don't have this option so our eyes glowed when we saw this! We pregamed (first sushi dinner) at Sushi Kichi (awesome btw) located in the middle of the plaza and wanted to save this for our last late night in Orlando so we couldn't order as much as we wanted to. We ordered: 1) Scallop Ceviche $12- amazing HH price and those lil soft, buttery (no butter) shiz are from Hokkaido. Per staff, the chef only wants scallops from there and you know what?! Me too! 2) Hamachi Crudo $12- amazing HH price and can't go wrong with hamachi anything, 'twas good! 3) Harami Skirt Steak skewer $6- one skewer and it's about 3 bites; grilled nicely and didn't choke on it. It was topped with chimichurri and garlic, tho it was more garlic but that's ok with me cuz I love garlic 4) King Mushroom skewer $3- one skewer with 3 small...SMALL pieces of the stem, like the size of half of your thumb. This is one thing I don't recommend; at least a whole mushroom would be justifiable. 5) Mebachi Maguro Truffle $25- the presentation was fancy, maybe cuz of the truffle on top of each tuna but each piece just melted during every chew. It was about 5-6 pieces (?) From the food to service to ambiance, Oza Izakaya checked all 3! Def recommend!
My husband made a reservation at Oza Izakaya for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time here and the food was to die for. We had a little bit of everything, my husband’s favorite dish was the honey truffle king salmon (it was delicious and the fish was SO fresh), I’m split between the king salmon and the Woo Baby dessert (an ube cheesecake). Honestly all the food was amazing and the prices were great—we got 5 dishes and a bottle of Sake for under $100. Our waitress Emily was fabulous as well! 12/10 experience and we will absolutely be back.
Second time here and the food was absolutely fantastic. Of course the service was on par. Miguel accommodated all our requests and stayed agile and positive throughout the entire evening. Superb experience. Yes to all the food (see images). The bathrooms have the best toilet. Weird flex but if you know, you know.
Oza Izakaya by far one of our new favorite restaurants in the Orlando area. It hits every mark when it comes to ambiance, flavors, quality, and service. Everything we had was delicious, no notes, which as foodies originally from Los Angeles is saying something. This place is on rotation for date nights and 100% worth checking out.
I took my Wife on our Anniversary dinner here and Miguel, our server was amazing and knew everything and I mean Everything about the menu. I pretty much quizzed him and he was 100% spot on. The service was fast, the food was fresh, best sushi and raw foods in town. Thanks!
An unforgettable dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was truly the best—so attentive and warm🙂 Restroom was very nicely designed ✨❤️ They made our anniversary celebration extra special with thoughtful touches. Highly recommend for both great food and memorable moments✨✌️
We had a larder group of 8, they sat us quickly. Our server Tung was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions and queries. The table had ordered numerous apps, and entrees and each one was absolutely perfect. At the time we were here for the Waygu Hamburger which was phenomenal, we ended up getting 3 of them. Unfortunately dessert was not an option as we were far too full of all the delicious options to even consider it.
Food was very good, presentation great. The service was ok. My waiter couldn't explain the menu very well. At least not the way I would have liked to be explained. Maybe someone familiar with Japanese food terminology could understand it, but for someone accustomed to a typical sushi restaurant in US they were literally speaking to me in Japanese. Lol. Btw they have a Happy Hour Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to close and Friday-Saturday from 10:30 to close. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dishes I liked the most: Truffle Tuna Roll, Hamachi Hero Roll, Wagyu Gyoza and Makimono Kaniza Roll. I would definitely come back.
We had an amazing experience here! The food was excellent — honestly one of the best Japanese meals we’ve had in Orlando. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was just as impressive — attentive, friendly, and fast. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic Japanese food and great vibes!
We ordered the premium sashimi set, premium sushi set, several rolls, and ramen — everything was delicious. The premium sashimi set was especially amazing! It’s rare to find properly aged sashimi like this in the U.S., and it was absolutely impressive. I was genuinely moved because it had been such a long time since I’d had sashimi this good. Highly recommend this restaurant — I’ll definitely be coming back!
Service was very slow even though it wasn’t busy. Our server took awhile to refill drinks and even forgot one of our orders. One member of our party never received his food until everyone was finished eating. No attempt at service recovery. Auto grat since we were a big group. Ramen was nothing special, really small servings for the price. The octopus was good and saved a poor dining experience.
Excellent sushi spot. Made a reservation to sit at “the bar” and did not realize they were not serving at their Omakase sushi bar yet, so my reservation was for the normal bar. They were kind to change to a table without any pushback. They are deserving of their reputation of one of the best sushi restaurants in the Orlando area. Fish was fresh and flavorful. The seasonal oysters were exceptional. The Toro Maitake roll was outstanding. Friendly and very prompt service. Nice atmosphere. I would definitely go back. .
This is hands down the best Japanese restaurant I've experienced in the Rolando area. The food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. While the menu is on the pricier side, the quality absolutely justifies the cost. It's also a great spot for business meals, thanks to its refined atmosphere and excellent service. .
What a fabulous dining experience. The service was great. The food was delicious and fresh. We were impressed by the selection and recommend the sushi Nigiri set.
I visited Oza Yazakia with my husband a little while ago and I can honestly say I enjoyed every moment! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Our server, Kai, was exceptional – polite, fast, and very attentive. The food was fresh and beautifully prepared, with every bite more delicious than the last. The fish was incredibly fresh as well. I truly hope to return soon and also hope they bring back the corn with popcorn dish and the sea bass, which I heard are no longer on the menu.
My group and I were visiting and decided to give this place a try. It was amazing! The decor is beautiful and tastefully done. There's cute mini Japanese gardens and lovely Asian flare everywhere. The restaurant is not huge but it isn't tiny either. We got in and got a table right away. Staff was extremely helpful in explaining all the ingredients and dishes on the menu. They even offered suggestions to customize your meal to your tastes, so that the cost actually ended up saving you money. The food was so fresh and beautifully presented. From cute cut-outs, artistic details and dry ice displays, each dish was impressive. My hot green tea was even brought to me on a little stand that kept it hot throughout my meal. They even had their own name brand water. The bathroom was very clean and they had a high tech Toto toilet in there. It took me a minute to figure out how to flush it, but the seats were heated. Definitely give this place a try! The price of the meal was a little higher than normal, but the quality of the ingredients and ambiance showed exactly where the extra cash was going to.
The sushi here is amazing! Super fresh and full of flavor. You can tell the quality is top notch. The place has such a nice vibe, really chill and cozy, perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The service is great as well. There are a few things that I don’t eat and they’re always happy to accommodate and swap ingredients. Definitely one of the best sushi spots I’ve tried! Can’t wait to come back! 🍣✨
Absolutely incredible experience. Miguel was the perfect waiter. He was attentive without feeling overbearing. The quality of food for the price is rare to find. We enjoyed the wagyu gyoza and both of the ramen options. I had a social request with my meal and they accommodated me with no issues. I am overall extremely happy with our experience and glad I chose Oza Izakaya to celebrate my birthday dinner!
Absolutely exceeded my expectations! As a big fan of hand rolls, I was impressed by their selection. Perfect for a celebration or a casual date night — the food was amazing and the service was exceptional!
Absolutely a stellar experience. Tung was our server and he provided an excellent service for my wife and brother in law. The food courses were all consistent in their presentation and flavor. Everything was so good and we want to keep coming back to taste the full menu.
We came for our 12 year wedding anniversary and were blown away by the food and the service from Tung to Eddie. We were just blown away by the quality of food and just the amazing experience. We will definitely be coming back often.
Listen, let me tell you something—Oza Izakaya? Man, that place is different! The menu is wild, it’s eclectic—had my taste buds out here doing backflips. I’m talking flavors that hit you like, “Wait, hold up… what was THAT?!” The atmosphere? Super chill, warm, and cozy. You walk in and feel like, “Yeah, I could sit here all night.” But the real MVP? Tung. My guy Tung was on another level. This man broke down the menu like he was telling a story—you could see the food in your head before it even hit the table. And when it finally showed up? Whew! My imagination didn’t even come close. The food slapped. No, it didn’t slap—it punched me in the face with flavor. So here’s the bottom line: if you haven’t been to Oza Izakaya yet, you’re playing yourself. Get there. Thank me later.
Made an appointment earlier in the day, wanted something a little fancier. Took my wife and I here, and right off the bat we were greeted by this little sign which I never usually see. Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable about the big menu, and food was out in decent timing! 10/10
I am speechless about this place. One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. Cozy atmosphere, wonderful service, and outstanding food.
Oza was amazing! The decor makes you feel like you've been transported into Japan when you walk in. The food was incredible we ordered 15 small plates accroos many area of the menu and everything was amazing. The sake selection was great. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, as well as recommendations. The tuna belly, scallops and sea bass were the favorites.
Wow ! I found this place by looking for ramen via food reviews 4.8stars? This place was amazing 5 stars for me. Good food, great presentation, staff, and atmosphere amazing well accommodating for strollers they didn't mind I had a double stroller at all. Slightly pricy but their ramen was spot on for price !!
James was a wonderful server, our food was excellent and the experience was fantastic! I look forward to coming back and finding new additions to the menu.
Our server was amazing and provided excellent recommendations based on our needs. The food was great, and the service was nice. We will definitely be returning!
I recently visited Oza Izakaya and ordered the Tokyo Classic Ramen — it was absolutely delicious! The taste really brought back memories of the ramen I used to have back home in Bali. After being in Orlando for a while, it truly felt comforting to enjoy such an authentic and flavorful bowl of ramen again. We were served by Miguel, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and made our dining experience even better. Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving great Japanese food and warm service!
Orlando is all about the parks but if you want authentic, elevated and most important delicious sushi and sashimi Oza is a can’t miss! Every single plate we ordered was perfectly presented and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was amazing! Super knowledgeable. Can’t remember his name but told us he has been there since the beginning. Hope he gets the recognition.
This place has the “wow” effect. Top level no doubt. Service was great, food was amazing. Everything was just on point with fair prices considering the quality and flavors. The tuna omakase is a must for tuna lovers. The yellowtail cold dish is amazing. One thing- we ordered a sparkling sake and I’m not sure we were served the right bottle but the waiter told us it is the sparkling sake (it was not sparkling at all). It was good anyway. The Ube Cheesecake was so good even though we are not cheese fanatics. Definitely recommended 10/10
Yesterday, I visited Oza Izakaya for the first time, and it was a great discovery. I had never heard of this place before, but I was looking for a plan to take my wife and go out with friends for modern Asian food somewhere we could enjoy good drinks and that stayed open until midnight or later. After doing some research and checking photos, menus, and dishes, everything looked promising, so we decided to give it a try. Once we arrived, the atmosphere really stood out. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a very pleasant and visually appealing vibe. The menu clearly feels curated by someone who truly understands and respects Asian cuisine, which made the experience even better. One pleasant surprise was their late happy hour menu. From Monday to Thursday it starts at 10:00 PM, and from Friday to Sunday at 10:30 PM until closing. It’s a great option to eat well, enjoy quality food, and not overspend late at night. The cocktails were also very good and well balanced. The only area for improvement would be slightly faster service and more attentive staff. That said, everything else more than made up for it. The food was very, very good, and overall I would absolutely recommend this place.
The presentation and attention to detail were solid, but some of the flavors didn’t quite land for me. A few dishes, like the truffle items, felt a bit muted, while others leaned too heavily into citrus or sweetness—though that may just come down to personal preference. Interestingly, the conch salad ended up being my favorite. Service was decent, and the space itself was welcoming and beautiful. Overall, I felt the pricing was high for the level of food quality.
We chose this restaurant based on its excellent Google reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The place is beautifully designed, the fish was exceptionally fresh, and the delicate flavors and precise seasoning made the experience truly memorable. The only disappointment was that our waitress misunderstood our request — we asked for extra chicken, not pork, in the ramen dish. When we asked to have it replaced, we were told it wasn’t possible. From a restaurant of this caliber, we expected a bit more flexibility and service.
Very nice restaurant. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The wagyu gyoza was delicious. The ramen was mediocre. The twice fried wings were good. The king salmon nigiri was good but a bit pricey. Would come back for the gyoza.
Food was really great- sushi was the most disappointing item and it was still really good. Service started off rocky. Seemed like she was weeded and didn’t give a great introduction. But after a drink, I didn’t really care.
I eat off the late night menu. Everything was decent, but the sushi rolls were lacking in freshness and flavor a bit. Not bad, but not great. The sashimi was very good and I enjoyed the gyoza.
Beautiful space and trendy interior, but the experience did not live up to the setting. We arrived at opening and still waited more than 20 minutes before anyone really attended our table. The happy hour being limited to the bar only was frustrating, especially since the restaurant was mostly empty and we were not told clearly up front. Drinks: The Bees Knees was very good. The others tasted like quickly made all inclusive resort drinks. The bartender never introduced herself and we had to get her attention when we needed something. I did not see a manager on the floor and the service felt uncoordinated. Food: The sushi was very good and the best part of the meal. The ramen was fine but not memorable. The sashimi portions were large but some cuts were tough and difficult to eat. The crab croquettes tasted like potato croquettes; it was tasty but I would not have guessed there was crab there. The atmosphere improved later in the evening once more staff arrived, which makes me think the restaurant struggles at opening. There is potential here, but right now it feels like the focus is on the look of the place more than the guest experience. For the price and the type of restaurant they are trying to be, service needs to be much stronger. I would try it again, but this visit was underwhelming.
It pains me to write a negative review on one of my favorite places but the last few weeks, my experience has fallen short. I’ve always felt the food was amazing as well as service but the food is so inconsistent. The portions being the biggest inconsistency. I have so many pictures of the same things I’ve gotten countless times and they are different. Sometimes the hand rolls are nice and thick, others there’s hardly any fish. The yellowtail crudo is always served with different garnish’s. Pictures provided show the same dish, but prepared differently. Tonight our Hamachi Hero should have had black tobiko but it was orange. Which typically things like this aren’t a huge deal but it’s countless items that are not properly made or it’s not properly listed on the menu. Temperature is also a very big and probably the most frustrating because I’d like my raw fish to be as cold as possible and lately, the Truffle Tuna roll has been warm. Way too warm for sushi. I use to come at least a couple times a month for late night happy hour, but they have now taken it away my heart is broken. Crushed. I don’t see myself coming as often. It was truly amazing, not only for the price but it being late night because not many places serve food like this, after 10/11. The restaurant as a whole seem to be doing down. I wondered why the omakase sushi bar never made a debut but now I feel it’s for the best because this place needs some work.
I must first start that the restaurant does a good job with their aesthetics. However, in a restaurant that of course shouldn’t be its main focus. They focus too much on aesthetics rather than food quality and its flavor. Food: This sushi restaurant is expensive, mediocre, and its sushi’s is lowest in its quality. The additives they placed on the sushi did not add much flavor to the nigiri. In addition, it’s odd that part of the chefs choice was uni on top Otoro which is quite silly because they are entirely two different pieces that do not complement each other. The uni of course overpowers the Otoro which it’s a shame. To be honest the best part here was the wasabi. This is not me joking the wasabi was fresh and it had great unique flavor to it. But as we know the wasabi should not be the highlight for a place that specializes in sushi. Service: The place was an entire mess. They had one host’s at the bar and it took 40 mins to get ordered, another 40 mins to wait for the food, and about 20-30 mins to get the check. If you had sushi before and are into Omasake I do not recommend this place at all.
I went to Oza Izakaya to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the entire experience was a mess. We ordered drinks to start the celebration, and for reasons that make absolutely no sense, the bartender sent out half the table’s drinks while the rest showed up twenty minutes later—yes, including a beer. When we asked about it, the explanation was simply that “she’s busy.” That’s not an excuse; it’s a failure of basic service. If drinks aren’t ready, then don’t send them out piecemeal. Because of this, those of us who were served first had to remove ice so our drinks wouldn’t be completely watered down while waiting for the birthday guest to finally get his. Unfortunately, the same nonsense happened with the food. While it’s understandable that dishes finish at different times, sending out half the table’s food with a 30-minute gap between plates is unacceptable. Every restaurant gets busy—yet somehow most of them have figured out how to serve a table within the same general window. This was our second visit and absolutely our last. The food is fine, but nowhere near good enough to justify the prices or the chaos. For sushi, ramen, or seafood, there are plenty of places within 5–20 minutes that offer better service and better value. Save your money. No one should be paying premium prices for watered-down drinks and a bartender who can’t manage the basic courtesy of serving a table together.
