This place has great soups and great food for lunch. Nothing fancy but solid as a rock.
Elaine is the best, always energetic and cheerful and works very hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible.
Friendly place to have a bite. I really liked the omelette and the excellent home fries.
Delicious home made soups w a large selection.
I love this place. a little pricey but for the quality and friendly staff it's worth it!

Nice spot for a quick lunch and don't forget to see Billy Joel's Motorcycle Museum couple stores down
Homemade sandwiches made with love...the rice bowls are a perfect meal
The soup is to die for, and the staff is far friendlier than Yev Kassem.
I love their soups. Their sandwiches are incredible
Best Hungarian Mushroom soup and Tomato chili soup
Great soup selection and a variety of sandwiches and salads.

I had the Lobster Bisque today and man today was a perfect day for it! I know it sounds weird but I got the Rigatoni Wrap- It was amazing❣ Ummmm so good - 5 STARS
If you’re looking for something healthy, vegetables oriented their menu is the one to check. best VALUE in oyster bay.
Great selection of soups and food. High quality. Very refreshing to find quality food homemade.
Flight of three soups and bread $10.99 Can’t go wrong
Soups are always spot on! Nice place for breakfast also.
Sweet Tomato is the best tasting deli in the Hamlet of Oyster Bay. Great place to sit with the whole family as well.
The veggie panini is a bit messy but possibly the best one I've ever had. Every veggie in it was crunchy and fresh. 🫑🍅
Clean place. Friendly staff. Great soup selection. Overall fresh and tasty food.
True to its name with awesome wholesome food with super friendly service. Yummmy mouthwatering lobster bisque and a variety of shroomy soups!!!
Awesome Lobster Bisque! The Chicken Fajita wrap was fantastic as well. Great little place!
Awesome soup and wraps and very nice owners and staff. We love it here!
Best place to buy fresh hot soups from. I usually get the large for 13 dollars. There are also other food you can buy that taste good. Staff is also friendly and helpful.
I placed a catering order with Sweet Tomato for a ladies' luncheon at the end of January 2023. I was very pleased with the freshness, presentation and quality. Highly recommend!
Feeling great after the greek quinoa bowl. ... I suggest adding feta and getting and extra dressing.
Sweet tomato has the best kind of soups I like it here. The people where friendly and the establishment was clean I will be back. I had a good time there with my family.
First time at sweet tomato and I got to say I very much enjoyed my half grilled veggie wrap custom made and my 12oz veggie quinoa soup. Great deal btw. I would recommend afterwards driving a few minutes to Theodore Roosevelt Memorial park and enjoying your meal while gazing out to the water
Small mom-and-pop cafe with excellent food. It's a great place for soup, salad, and sandwiches, with both gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan options. Despite being a smaller establishment, Sweet Tomato offers a wide array of options, and everything we have tried has been delicious. Seating is limited, but most people see to prefer takeout, so you can usually find a table for two if you want to dine in.
I was working in town and me and my sister decided to check this place out. I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am that I did. The soup was absolutely delicious and the wrap was great. Truly a local gem. I highly would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great bite!
We like to get take out from here, the food is a lways fresh and tasty. Wraps/ sandwiches are great and the soups are top notch. Highly recommend the Turkey Chili.
We are boaters visiting Oyster Bay from Annapolis staying on a mooring. The owner came outside to greet us suggesting we could sit outside if we prefer and they would bring the food to us. We decided to sit inside and we had great breakfast wraps. We chatted with the owner and told him we were in the mooring field. We were walking back to the boat when a car came up behind us and starting honking. The owner jumped out of his car waving at us. We had dropped some cash out of a pocket and he was racing to return it to us before we got to the launch to our boat. Now, that’s customer service!
This cute mom and pop shop is a place I have been going to for years now and now I have finally gotten around to writing a review for it. Let me just start by saying that throughout the years this place as been consistently excellent. The people are very welcoming and helpful in helping you pick the best soups and sandwiches. The selection of soups is incredible with around 15 different homemade soups on any given day. Additionally, the cafe is extremely charming and homie, and the perfect place to enjoy their food. My most recent visit I ordered a 12 oz tomato bisque and a 12 oz lobster bisque. Both of these soups are incredible and I can never pick a favorite so I always get both of them. The tomato bisque is the perfect combination of sweet and creamy. The lobster bisque is hearty, thick and very filling. My dad had a 16 oz cauliflower soup and was a fan of the kick from the pepper and the delicious garlic flavor. To top of the meal, they brought us a free warm chocolate chip cookie insisting we take it becuase it was fresh from the oven. The cookie was warm, with a gooey center and just a little bit of crunch on the outside. This place is a must try in Oyster Bay, whether it is a cold winter day, or a hot summer afternoon. The only drawbacks are that it is small with not a lot of seating, all though I have never had trouble finding somewhere to sit, and the prices for the soup are a little high. Though none of these drawbacks would ever deter me from my favorite place to go and grab a nice hot bowl of soup when I am home from college
I love it!! Whatever they have can always be altered to my dietary needs, the soups are AMAZING (especially the mushroom ones) and the staff are so sweet. Most of all, it's in walking distance from my house and they are ok with my 'emotional support animal' accompanying me when she has her working vest on.
Sweet Tomato has the bestttt foood!!! Ugh!! I love to come here whenever I can! The staff is friendly, the restaurant is super clean and the food is tasty! Bernie, the owner, is one of the nicest men I’ve ever met. I wish I could give Sweet Tomato 10 stars.
Sweet Tomato has become one of my go-to lunch spots in Oyster Bay! Their soups and salads are fresh, quick, and on point. It's a great local spot.
These folks are awesome. I had a request for a special occasion and it was quite a large order. I called and left a message and got a call back in less then an hour. Tina was on the line and she was very courteous, friendly and helpful. She was also able to give me some great suggestions that worked great. This is the kind of service that is very hard to find anywhere these days. We own a Concierge business and deal with a lot of merchants and Sweet Tomato really impressed us. Thank you all for what you do and putting the customer service at the top of your list.
For vegans out there, they have vegan soups and they have items that can be tweaked to be vegan. Very nice and informative staff. I have the hot rice bowl sans cheese and with veg. My husband had a tuna wrap.
Love this place❤️Açaí bowls are the best on Long Island. My husband and I go every Saturday for breakfast. Owner and staff are wonderful. I recommend to everyone in the area to stop by for breakfast or lunch.
Huge variety of wonderful soup. Very creative sandwiches as well. You can sit outside in a little park and they will bring food out to you.
Delicious and abundant soups and sandwiches all homemade there, everything handled with care, delicious coffees, teas and smoothies too! a sweet little place that has a dining area in the front of the establishment next to a large window .
One of my favorite spots for homemade turkey chili! The best! Like to sit outside on a warm spring day. Perfect !
Adorable little place in Oyster Bay village. Very limited seating inside and avail seating outside. Large selection of wraps, paninnis, salads, soup and breakfast (in the am). Went for lunch got a egg salad wrap w bacon that was amazing. My mom got a turkey brie wrap that she loved. The people that work there are super nice and helpful. When I'm in the area again, I'll go back and try something else. Highly recommend.
Sweet Tomato has a small town feel to it. I enjoyed the welcoming vibes and was greeted upon entering. The rainbow bowl had immersive flavors that were delicious upon tasting. Pretty good value for the portion size. I would recommend for some lunch and taste of Oyster Bay.
Made a pit stop here to refuel with a group. The veggie panini was toasty & tasty. Took a while to come out. Iced coffee hit the spot on a warm day. Ideal rest stop for cyclists with a restroom. Outdoor seating nearby in the shade next to trees. 12/29/24 update: Service has improved 👍👍. Prices are now listed on menu 🙏🏻 12/31/24 Great service! Jessica brought the sandwiches to us while we were seated outside. 🙏🏻
Cozy spot to grab breakfast/lunch in oyster bay. Lots of unique sandwich , soup, and salad options. They have a tv that plays movies ( ours was Indiana jones : raiders a solid pick.) The Spinach Cajun wrap was tasty as was the apricot grilled cheese. Hal’s chips and sodas. Great prices and gets busy around 1/1:30
Me and my girlfriend come here every so often because it’s a hour drive but it’s always worth it. Can not beat the authenticity of a greasy spoon spot like this. Amazing food, amazing service. Feels like it’s been here forever and that’s what you look for in a place like this.
Rosemary Panini + Hungarian Mushroom soup for the win! I love stopping here on the way to Roosevelt Beach. I haven’t tried many options on the menu because my regular is bomb every time but I encourage you to explore. Great quality, just enough food for lunch and outdoor seating. Also, dying for Costal Craft to come back. We love a good local kombucha.
Amazing soup and some yummy paninis. My favorite thing on a cold day in Oyster Bay. The seating area is small so I suggest plan to get your stuff to go. Also be patient waiting for your food it takes a bit to prepare but the wait is worth it
Where theres soup (so many choices !!), i’ll be there. Had the split pea soup a toasted sandwich and a bag of chips to go (had it in a near by nature reserved) Tasty !
This place was SO good. Line at first went a little slow, but the wait was worth it. I had the tuna club which they were able to make as a panini instead. I also had a side of tomato bisque soup. Both were so good, I went back the next day for the same thing!!! The rosemary ficcotia bread that they make it on is out of this world. You have to go here!!!
Great little sandwich shop with great service and tasty food
The server was so sweet and the Ranchero wrap I got for breakfast is awesome.
Nice small sandwich soup and salad cafe to eat at. Everything on the menu is very delicious.

Nice small sandwich soup and salad cafe to eat at. Everything on the menu is very delicious.
Food is always very good. Servers are excellent, too. Today, the presentation of my Mexican tacos, which are really good, was off. It was sloppy. I'm thinking they must have lost a cook. I'll be back for the same , however. We'll see how it goes. I did go back for the same meal and everything was excellent, as usual!
IF YOU HAVENT GONE HERE YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!! The most amazing food and service!! The vodka wrap is to die for!!! The soups amazing!!! Literally everything I’ve ever had has been amazing!!!
If you're in Oyster Bay and looking for a great place to eat, check out The Sweet Tomato. It's right by the waterfront , making it a perfect spot for a meal with a view. They're known for their amazing wraps, salads, and a wide variety of soups. The wraps are delicious and filling, perfect for a quick lunch. The salads are fresh and have lots of different ingredients to choose from. But the highlight is their soups – there's always a bunch to pick from, and they're all really good. It's a great place to stop by when you're in town, especially if you want something tasty and healthy. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent choices of good wholesome food available.
Very nice soups and salads. Space to eat indoors as well as outdoors.
Small but comfortable place. Good Food. Loved the hazelnut gelato.
Excellent food! Girls behind counter should smIle more. Otherwise cute place.
Really nice place for breakfast. Nice menu and friendly staff.
Small, quaint place. Lovely menu with great variety
The service and staff was great. The good was just a bit underwhelming
Service is slow but it's worth the wait because the food is that good.
A nice menu to nosh on. The England Clam Chowder was delicious with lots pieces of clam and the portion was a belly filler.
Soup is always good. A little disappointed they were out of split pea soup for the second time. Guess I gotta get in earlier.
Family run darling little eatery. Many vegetarian options and quite honestly outstanding coffee!
The soups here are amazing. Favorite place for soup. It can be pricey but it's worth it. I haven't had the best of luck with salads from here, as almost always the greens have turned a little. Which I understand does happen with those types of lettuce but at the price point I'm not stoked to pick through my salad to remove rotten pieces of lettuce. That being said I still go there often I just don't get salad everything else is so good there and worth the price. Especially since they got their new cook.
While visiting friends, went to Sweet Tomato for lunch. Disappointed was not waitress/waiter service. Food quality was on point. So many soups to choose from, a little something everyone.
I ordered The Vodka wrap for me and the Chicken Caesar wrap for my wife. The Vodka was well made the pasta in the wrap was cooked just right, however, it was very flavorful. My wife's wrap was missing the croutons.
This is a nice breakfast lunch spot in town. Not fancy. They had lots of soups that looked great. I got an egg wrap which was very good. Full breakfast and lunch menu. They stop serving breakfast at 11:30 but were kind enough to make eggs and omelettes a few minutes after. Regular iced tea, sweet tea and iced coffee available. The paninis looked fresh too. They have outdoor seating plus another adjacent seating area in front of the next building. I would go back
Coffee was good, and cookies were great, too I don't know about other food because I was running out of time (to catch my train to Jamaica)

The salads were expensive for just lettuce but their soups were very good. But I found a piece of hair in my soup. Tight place to sit and eat. Probably won't visit again.
I got a $10 Caesar salad wrap. (No chicken). It came with tomatoes. It came with pepper jack cheese. It came without croutons. Idk, just wierd to me & I live for the croutons. But that’s my fault for not checking the menu description before I ordered it. However they did forget my croutons so that’s on them. It comes with a side of tortilla chip. I said chip, singular. But seriously, it came with 4 whole chips. Why even offer chip on the side? I’ve only been to this place a handful of times but I always get chip jipped. The wrap was eh.
Went there twice and found hair in my food both times. I thought the first time that it might've been my hair or just a mistake so i tried to look past it... Really Good food but I realized it wasn't mine or a mistake when it happened again the second time. I It's such a shame........ their vodka wrap was really good until I saw the hair. They should clean this place up or hire a new chef. Probably wont be going back here any time soon.
The person who took our order never gave it to the cook, so we waited a long time only to find out it wasn't in process. Came out quickly after that. Lobster roll didn't really seem to be lobster. Maybe it was but really it is a fish salad on a roll. Chicken ceaser wrap was fine. Nice to sit outside but the tables were kind of dirty. Not sure they get much attention. Overall just okay place for a sandwich.

Ordered a wrap/ soup combo via doordash today, they forgot to include the soup and packed the wrong wrap.
I got food poisoning. I ate a pannini with mozzarella, tomato and pesto yesterday for lunch. I believe the pesto was bad. Terrible night last night and still sick today.
I ordered a turkey club wrap to go, I got chicken Waldorf wrap. I'm hate fruit and nuts in my food so I can't tell you how it was because I threw it out. It was my first and last time I'll go there.
I asked if I can use the bathroom and they said no customers only and I
We have been customers of Sweet Tomato for the last 10 years however after tonight we will never go back. We attended the tree lighting of oyster bay tonight. as everything ended and most people left our child asked to use the bathroom urgently. I ran in asked the girl behind the counter who said sure and the door was locked so we waited 5 minutes and the girl said uh let me check and went into the back and came out and said no we can’t use it. I’m so mad. I could not even argue because I have a child who’s about to have an accident that I’m now scrambling to find another bathroom. I will never go back and furthermore when I did patron it I always thought the food was mediocre and overpriced but tried to continue to support a local business. Never again- the absolute worst customer service.
The older woman who is always there,(maybe the owner) is so RUDE !!! My office is local and we order from them several days a week and today will be the last day we order from them!!! We placed a large order today and when I picked it up she had the audacity to loudly comment that I was not leaving her a tip . I did not sit in the dining area nor was the order delivered !! I picked up the food myself. In these economic times she should be grateful for the business we give her daily and not be so greedy. Tips are for delivery and wait staff service, not for the owner to expect and certainly not to degrade a customer over. SHAME ON HER !!! I hope her attitude was worth loosing an enormous amount of business. Remember we are a local business too !!!
Split pea soup was just okay..and especially at that price. Mandarin Salad was watery and they did not read instructions on app I placed order with. Grilled Chicken was dry. Definitely not worth the price nor would I reorder. My only advice would be to..pay attention to detail.
I’ve been frequenting this establishment for over a year. Today, I ordered online and was there five minutes after the scheduled pick up time and sat and waited for an additional 30 minutes; not once did anyone check on me or my order. I watched several patrons come in, order, and leave with their food. Once I asked, the cook muttered that “there was some delay with the ticket.” 5 minutes later my food was out. The ticket showed the time was printed and the scheduled pick up time. Mistakes happen but this was unfortunately mishandled. I will not be returning.
Ordered the Cali wrap; which has sesame chicken, bacon, Swiss, avocado, lettuce, tomato and some dressing. Good taste, the only problem, which is a major problem was that there was literally like 2 little cubes of chicken and maybe one strip of bacon. It’s expensive and I was still starving after eating it. Maybe it’s just me; maybe my kind is not liked in this neighborhood. Don’t see myself coming back here...
So disappointing. This was the worst take-out food we’ve had in many, many years. The “tomato bisque” is literally Campbell’s canned tomato soup. The wrap consisted of processed packaged meat, canned/jarred peppers, and processed cheese on a stale tortilla. The price was outrageous considering the extremely poor quality. We do not recommend this place, nor will we use it again. I would suggest they focus on having a smaller menu and using FRESH, decent quality ingredients. Really can’t believe a place like this stays open with this kind of food.
I called in a pickup order and when I got home, I realized they gave me the wrong wrap. I called to let them know and they were polite, told me to come back and they’d replace it. When I went back, the older woman at the counter accused me of lying and said I already got the correct wrap plus another one … which was absolutely not true. I drove back and forth twice just to be told I was trying to “get something free.” Incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially since this was my first time there. I definitely won’t be going back!
