If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Pasadena without the "luxury" markup, this is the place. My partner has been coming here for years, and now I see why. The Highlights: - Authentic Pho: Unlike other places nearby that use the wrong noodles, the Beef Pho here is the real deal with proper rice vermicelli and an incredible, rich broth. - Great Value: You can get a huge bowl of soup or a rice plate for around $14–$15, which is unbeatable for this area. - Fresh Options: The Grilled Pork Salad and Fresh Spring Rolls were crisp and flavorful. - Dietary Friendly: They have a dedicated Vegetarian Broth and plenty of tofu options, plus a surprisingly huge menu that even includes American breakfast and burgers (great if you have picky eaters in your group!). I am sensitive to peanuts, a common staple in Vietnamese, and it was nice there were options for sauces. Service: Fast and super friendly family-run vibe. It can get warm inside, so I recommend grabbing one of the tables outside on the sidewalk to watch the Colorado Blvd traffic. Highly recommend for a casual weeknight dinner or quick lunch!
This was the perfect place to get a filling lunch fter a super early, travel filled morning ✈️. Just a few blocks from our hotel and THE best Bahn Mi we've had! I ordered the pork (sans jalapeño) while my husband ordered the beef. The sandwiches were bigger than expected, and both had that burst of flavor we love. Service was fast, the restaurant clean and calm. We saw the pho and other orders on tables around us, and all looked amazing. We wish we could pick the restaurant up and take it home with us!
My team and I were looking for a place to eat for lunch after a conference and decided to make our way here. I got a teriyaki beef bowl and the portions were just right. It was flavorful.
Great restaurant with nice selection of dishes. Pulled pork sand-which had a bit of spice to it that was a nice surprise.
Found this place while strolling Pasadena on a Saturday. It is family owned and the owners are very nice, service is fast too. Decided to dine in and ordered pho, fried rice, shrimp spring rolls, and the mango boba tea. The pho was delicious, it has a good authentic flavor and could feed 2 people. The spring rolls were okay, not bad not extra food. But they were nice and fresh. The peanut sauce that came with it is amazingly good. It has a tiny spicy kick to it. The mango boba tea was good as well. The chicken fried rice is a good huge portion. Definitely will be coming back.
Truly my favorite ❤️ The best authentic Vietnamese Bún bò and Phở and Bún thịt nướng chả giò - compared to many places I have tried across California and the US.
Yummy food, even better service. Perfect place and prices.
I got the veggie vermicelli bowl and it was perfect. One of the bests vermicelli bowls I’ve had in LA. The patty was so flavorful. The vegetarian fish sauce was also good! Definitely one of my favorite Vietnamese spot in LA. Will be coming back for more.
Yummy pho and spring rolls! Came here after a late class and we are very grateful for such kind and quick service. The children's drawings on the walls gave me nonstalgia to drawing in my youth and it is evident the store owners care about their customers. Made my night, thank you :)
This place is delicious and definitely worth any wait you might encounter. We got in just before the lunch rush and found a place to sit easily. We all had variations of the create your own rice or vermicelli plates- I got the grilled chicken and beef. Everything was so flavorful, and for a second I forgot whether I'd ever eaten fish sauce before because this was just so much better than any I'd had before! Will definitely return here to try more of the menu!

For $13, this Pho was packed with flavor and very generous on the beef and noodles. Probably the best flavor and portion to price ratio Pho I’ve ever had. If I were in college or grad school around here it would be a go to.

We are visiting from Louisiana, and decided to stop in and try the bun bo hu. I am so glad we did. Great food and service. Update: Went back today for lunch. The vermicelli bowl is so delicious. I had the beef and shrimp. The service was very fast and friendly. Such a nice place with great food and service. I will be going back again.
If I can describe in three words tasty, healthy, filling. I got the bun bo hue and the classic banh mi. It was a comfortable space while eating there no complaints great spot.
We stopped by Ginger Spice and Noodle after a fun morning right next door at the Southern California Children’s Museum — and it was exactly what we needed! The staff was kind and welcoming, even with two slightly tired, slightly wild kiddos in tow. The food came out quickly, which we really appreciated, and everything was delicious. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and casual — a great little escape after the energy of the museum. It’s rare to find a spot that works so well for both adults and kids, but this one nailed it. Definitely adding Ginger Spice and Noodle to our list of go-to places whenever we’re in Pasadena. Bonus points for being just steps away from the museum entrance!
We where visiting Pasadena for the week and I wish we had found this place sooner. The food was awsome.service was reasonable since we got there at dinner time.
Such friendly owners and food was so good - we had the pork banh mi and veggie pho which were both excellent
This is a hidden gem for those who love a little kick in their meals. I tried their hot chicken wings, and they did not disappoint. The spice level was just right – enough heat to get your taste buds tingling without overpowering the flavors. It’s a small, no-frills spot, but the food is so good.

The best Pho I've ever had! So delicious! The broth is so full of intense, deep flavors, noodles are perfect! My favorite in LA area!
Pork Banh Mi was excellent. Spicy!!! Bigger than I thought it would be. Getting that and side of chips for $12… might as well go here than support the people that are killing you at subway. Beef Pho was very flavorful. Good for a cold day. Egg rolls were crispy and hot. This is a good place. Curious about the spaghetti they have listed on the menu… I won’t try it.
I love this place. Feels like a family owned business, so we try to support them whenever we are in town. My go to is a custom vermicelli bowl, or veggie pho if it’s colder out. Love the food, and friendly service. Oh, and you’ll know you found the right spot, because the essence of their pho broth will be wafting out the front door when you go by. Don’t skip it!

Good service, not operated by all Vietnamese even though a Vietnam restaurant. Food is good, however the Pho noodle and the meat is kinda too thin. Good taste but no where near the original taste. Cozy and warming setting. If you're not Vietnamese, worth trying since pretty good price; otherwise, should find a place with more original taste.
Cozy hole in the wall family business :0) Lots of things to choose from on the menu! Cute kid drawings on the wall (there was one of minecraft characters and someone getting stabbed lol). The football game was also playing on the tv above. So I could see sports fans appreciating it! The food was delicious! But I feel the meat portion was stingy. Barely any meat to match the rice. I understand we get two options to go with the rice but it was not proportionate. Therefore they get 4 stars from me.

First off, this place needs a serious cleaning. Floors are sticky, seats are torn, dust everywhere! Everything white is dirty. Food was meh. I ordered pork chops poate and what they brought me was 1 thin porkchop. They sliced it up without my permission to spread it out and make it look like a lot. Totally not worth the money and the flavors were ok. Nothing special to make me return and spend over$30. Be

We ordered Pho and spring rolls and it was disappointing. One of thing we asked was chili oil and they only gave us a small amount for us couple of people dining in. The worst of all, I saw them refilling their new bucket of hoisin sauce with the old bottle hoisin sauce?! Mixing new and expired sauce! I totally lost my appetite….
Took 30 mins to get a single pho served. Server just passes by to drop off the food at the edge of the table. Spoon had a sauce on it. Meat smells. Didn't complain; left the place right away.
