Opiniones de Mandarin Coffee Stand Pasadena
The Burlington Arcade is so gorgeous and mandarin coffee stand fits right in! While the storefront only allows 4 customers at a time, waiting outside doesn’t feel bothersome because you’re in such a beautiful space. While they do have citrusy flavors on their menu, much of their focus is on serving Chinese coffee among classics. I got the gui hua latte (which only comes hot) and it really grew on me, with the complex flavor combination of coffee, slight spice, and florality. Their Vienna latte was smooth and rich while their honey yuzu fizz was bright and refreshing. There are a couple of tables in the walkway, but I wouldn’t count on doing work here or staying for a long period of time. Parking is pretty easy in the lot, though!
Super smooth coffee oh my days. I really enjoyed the vienna latte and it wasn't too sweet and the coffee wasn't too bitter and was super creamy and smooth without it being overbearing. The decor and vibe if the shop is super cute and gives a unique antique feel. It's located in a super cute like alleyway with other shops to explore. There isn't seating inside but there's seating outside.
$9 single origin pour over (Ethiopian) Pastries are similarly-priced. Don't forget to tip! Only 4 customers inside of the shop at any given time due to its size. I wish it was in a larger café to provide more traditional coffee shop vibes.
This hidden gem of a coffee shop is a must-visit for coffee connoisseurs! Their Vienna coffee is truly exceptional - rich, velvety, and expertly balanced. The shop itself is cozy and intimate, with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Despite its small size, the shop packs a big punch in terms of flavor and quality. If you're a coffee lover looking for a unique and delicious experience, look no further. The Vienna coffee alone is worth the wait in line.
Excellent food and drinks, usually the wait can be anywhere from 5-40min depending on what time of day it is. There is a 4 person max inside the coffee shop so you’ll be waiting outside in the shade (if the line is only within the Burlington arcade). The Hojicha matcha and Vienna latte are my favorite. Service can be slow but they make everything fresh in front of you.
Total Score: 9.400 Ambiance: 5/5 Very cutesy!! Love the art and the indoor moodiness. Gives library. Food: 4.5/5 Got the Sicily, cold brew and very citrusy with orange. P good! Slightly bit toooo sour tho Wow: 1/1 So cute!! Total Score = 3.5*AM + 6*FOOD + 0.5*WOW
I learned about the place from TikTok. It was highly recommended to get a good coffee: Vienna Latte-absolutely delicious. On the way back through town I went back again to try something else but Vienna Latte was hard to beat. There was a line when we got there on Saturday morning, that tells you something. I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed the coffee. While the place itself is small = it serves only to get the coffee, The Arcade itself has plenty of seating available to enjoy the ambiance
Fantastic coffee. Strong and smooth, love the vibe of the shop and alley way to sit and relax. Unique coffee options. Would def return!
A quality coffee focused shop I pop into whenever I'm in town. Sherry, the owner, pours her soul into every cup, building community with her team, and you can taste it. The line isn’t a hassle; but a testament to the treasure waiting at the end. Both the Cappuccino and cortado here are spot on and I've appreciated the unique seasonal drink options that pop up on the menu (but hurry because they may not be on the menu that long). I've seen a lot of reviews about the Vienna here—don’t expect a sugar rush and fake flavorings, expect nuance. Balanced, natural flavors rise to the surface. It doesn’t just wake you up; it makes you glad you’re awake. The materials/aesthetic? Glass on the outside is painted with the seasons. Sherry’s way of saying, “You’re welcome,” to the eyes before the coffee thanks your taste buds. The interior although small is very pleasing and purposeful. You can tell extra attention was put into every detail and they made the most of the space. Parking’s easy, 90 minutes free. There's a restroom in the building, you just have to ask for a key (pretty standard). A few quality tables outside, the standing bar for two inside, Even while it's nonstop busy all day, I've had a great experience from the team. Solid pastries Mandarin Coffee Stand is a tiny kingdom of quality. Worth every minute, every sip - so good they bring loads of traffic, massively helping every business around them - so much so I wouldn't be surprised if the place pays them to keep the shop in the area
I am extremely not pleased to find out this place is worth the 15 min wait on a Thursday morning when I came a little over 8am. Their osmanthus (gui hua) latte tastes exactly like (or even better) than the ones you’d find in Shanghai!
Cute decorations that are hand painted on the windows (and from the other reviews, looks like they change the pictures from time to time), very minimalistic inside, clean, and classy. They have lots of yummy and eye catching pastries on display (especially the guava cream cheese) and unique drinks to choose from. Service was friendly (only two people were in there, including the owner). It definitely gives off small business and hard working vibes. We stayed in the standing eating area cause it was so aesthetic inside (outdoor seating is nice too but feels slightly different inside). I ordered the Toasty and really liked it! So many other drinks to try that caught my eye :0)
What a wonderful coffee experience. The drinks are delicious, the vibes are beautiful, and the people are so cool. I love the Chinese heritage and Asian flavors that inspire some of the shop's drinks. Makes me proud to be Chinese! The space is super small, but people will sit outside in the little mall to sit and chat. The line is often long, but goes by pretty quick and just confirms that other people think this place is great as well! They also sell beans from some amazing roasteries and some wonderful pastries as well. I wish I lived closer to here, because I'd be here everyday.
A little hidden gem, literally. The entrance is small and the inside fits 2-3 people at a time as you wait for your order. The outside has a lot of available room to sit and is filled with hanging lights and lots of sunshine. I went with the toasty , I asked the cashier if they had anything sweet (I love sweet tasting coffee) and he said not really. Fortunately for me the toasty was a great cup of joe. It had such a great flavor I wondered why coffee couldn’t just taste this good everywhere!
In the top five coffee places I’ve been in LA. They have interesting specialty drinks and, of course, outstanding standard drinks. It was so good I circled back for a second coffee which I have never done before!
Matcha is soooo good! Very Mandarin style tea and cold brew coffee! Good vibe and the owner has really good taste of music! Love this place🥰
This shop came up on my feed and I just had to try it !! We went on a Monday thankfully hoping the line wouldn’t be that long ! It wasn’t too bad . I think because the shop is so small and only four people are allowed inside so the line forms outside pretty outside. But the little outside mall is so cute!! Makes you feel like you’re in London with the red phone booth and fairy lights. So we order inside . They have a good amount of staff inside so it moves pretty quickly . We ordered a flat white brown sugar latte and went back for a Spanish latte because everything was good !! Even the pastries 🥐 were so delicious ! Got the pretzel croissant and the koign Aman yum 😋 the coffee was on point . They know what they’re doing ☕️

Such an adorable location. Very cutesy and trendy. Expect a line! Would I go back and try other drinks, yes. So I guess like the others said.. it’s worth the line. There’s no seating inside the shop, it’s literally a walk up coffee shop and there are some tables outside, if available, in the middle area to sit and relax. We tried the Vienna latte (hot). I do wish the temp was hotter, kind of lukewarm when it was handed to us. Flavors were good. Good solid latte. I also tried the “Toasty” iced, sooooooo good. Would absolutely get this one again and would try it hot next time. The flavors of tea with espresso and the cinnamon, totally won me over. Got a slice of the date cake, sounded interesting. It was good, not too sweet (that’s a compliment from any Asian parent haha), but would I get it again, probably not. Parking - there’s a big lot in the back, you can either pay at the pay stations or if you have the passport parking app you can use that too!

If you’re truly looking for a good coffee, you gotta stop by. You’ll find a lot of reviews about food and matcha and how cute it is… but honestly, just go for the coffee. Try their lattes or signature ones… if you like your coffee creamy: Vienna, if you like florals and light: Sicily, otherwise brown sugar/spanish latte is pretty good too! It’s one of best coffee you’ll find in SoCal, cheers. Downside; looooong lines most times for a coffee, there’s stairs to go up to reach the shop, and it’s literally a hole in the wall… cramped! But worth the pain to drop by and get a coffee!
I was looking for a cute coffee shop to go to with my husband and this definitely met my expectations. We felt transported to another country immediately because of the aesthetics they have curated here. We had to wait about 35-45 minutes for the coffee and the baristas were nice. I got a ham and cheese croissant (I would rate it a 7/10) and the Vienna with oatmilk (which was the best out of the Toasty and Matcha) in my opinion (8.5/10). My husband got a croffin and the Toasty, and he liked the croffin more than the Toasty. The croffin was really good, and I agreed that the Toasty didn’t blow me away. We ordered Matcha for my sister to go and she said initially it was average, but as you stirred it up it got better. Overall this was a really cute coffee shop with good pastries, nice baristas, and good coffee. If you’re open to wait for the line, I would definitely make my way down to mandarin to try out their coffee!
Mandarin Coffee Shop - Pasadena, CA Mandarin Coffee Shop is a gem for coffee lovers in Pasadena! The coffee here is exceptional—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to start your day or catch up with friends. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait. The line starts forming even before their 8:00 AM opening, which speaks volumes about their popularity and quality. Arriving early is definitely worth it, as you’ll be rewarded with fantastic coffee and a great experience. Highly recommend checking it out! But I gave it 4 stars as I had high expectations but the coffee was average for me
Very nice little coffee shop with limited outside seating. Have to wait outside a bit before going in to order d/t limited inside space. Ordered a matcha tonic and a latte, both are very good. Price of drinks range from 6 to 8 dollars. Very cozy coffee shop.
Tucked inside a cozy, neat plaza of South Lake District, this coffee shop is a welcome addition. The drinks and treats match the setting, nicely decorated and packaged. The menu is well thought out with tasty, quality selections like the Hojicha Latte and Pineapple Espresso Tonic. As for the pastries, the pistachio croissant was excellent; the guava and cream was okay. The overall price came as a bit of a surprise but in these times what do you expect. In all mandarin coffee stand is a good addition to the area worth checking out!
