Came here after the gym at the suggestion of a classmate. Good overall experience. The place was clean, the tables spacious, the lines short due to quick service at the counter, and the menu looked promising. I've been twice now, ordered the ahi tuna salad and the keto Cobb salad, and both were satisfying in taste and in portion, and I was especially impressed by the bread. Will be continuing to go back.

I’m obsessed with their Seared Ahi Tuna Bowl! I wish I could order it on delivery apps but at least the inside is nice, they keep it clean and I don’t mind eating there. EM helped me out today and she was very nice. She came by later to ask if I needed anything which was unexpected and appreciated.

The bread is warm, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions are big enough to make me consider not finishing the cookie (but I still do, obviously). But let’s talk about the real MVP: EM 😺 at the register, Happy, Smiley. Cute. Em greets everyone like they are old friends at a surprise birthday party.

Moving to California several years ago, one of the best discoveries I’ve made is Urbane Cafe Pasadena. The atmosphere is always so warm and welcoming, thanks in large part to Ben and Brina, who truly go above and beyond to make every visit special. The menu is packed with delicious, fresh options, and there’s always something new and exciting to try. It’s become one of my absolute favorite spots, and I always look forward to coming back!

We had two of the bowls, Baja and Mediterranean. They were both outstanding and very generous portions. The cookies are delicious and fresh. Counter service was very pleasant.

Ordered Santa Maria salad and upgraded to tri tip instead of chicken, very good! Didn’t even need the side dressing that came with it. Salad tasted fresh and made to order. Lettuce and greens were chilled so the freshness was easily recognized every bite. The beef was very tender and there just enough drizzle of sauce. There’s a little bit of heat from the jalapeños. All this together in a bowl, AMAZING. I also order a drink and decided to try their lemonades: they had old fashion original, watermelon, and mango lemonades - I went with the watermelon lemonades since it suited the warm weather today (shout out to BEN and his team for recommending the drinks). Came during lunch hour and surprisingly the line moved FAST and the in a few minutes the buzzer went off to PICK UP MY FOOD. Too bad they ran out of NITRO INFUSED COFFEE! I was really looking forward to it. PARKING is a hard, it’s so packed I had to circle around a bit before finding a spot. Good location across from the gym. Will come back again and recommending to anyone who wants a salad or sandwich, this is the spot. Oh, they also have warm chocolate chip cookies (and other flavors too). :)

This place is by far super nice and great! This place is little far away from where I live but would 100% go back here when I can. I got the so cal sandwich and it was super good! The person attending me, Em was an awesome help! Great customer service. :)

Had a great experience at Urban Cafe! Emily recommended the chimichurri steak sandwich with a salad, and it was absolutely delicious. She was super helpful and had such a great personality—made the visit even better. Will definitely be back!

I came in at around 5:20 today and they looking pretty busy, but Em and Luis were doing amazing just the two of them up front working on the line and taking orders. I definitely recommend and will be coming back because of the quick service even thought there were only 2 of them!! Superstars !!

I've always enjoyed their food. Flavorful, fairly healthy, with quality ingredients, and combinations you don't see at most fast food sandwich places. I enjoy their harissa chicken sandwich, their steak chimichurri sandwich, and their barbecue sandwich, but they're no slouches when it comes to a great vegetarian sandwich either. Best of all, their warm and freshly baked in house cookies make for the best dessert afterwards. I failed to take a photo of the cookies because I was too busy inhaling them. Start with the chocolate chip, with its sweet and savory delight, achieved with just a dash of sea salt.

We found another healthy eating choice in the urban café in Pasadena. The atmosphere is chilled, laid back, and casual—plenty of areas to sit hi-boys, Booths, and outdoor seating on Lake Avenue. The customer service is friendly and welcoming. The waiter brought our orders quickly and checked if we needed anything several times. I eventually asked for more of the sauce on my Ahi Tuna bowl and later for another piece of bread, and the same waiter brought it with a good attitude and a smile. While chatting up our waiter we discovered he was the manager, Ben. He told us Urbane Cafe is a family-run business with 31 locations. Our plates had a good presentation, tasted good, and were fresh. We deducted a few points because we are used to a higher grade ahi tuna. However, the tuna we had was perfectly seared. The manager brought us some free cookies because it’s their tradition for first-timers. Remember to tell them Omar sent you when you visit, and don’t forget to get your free cookies.

There is free 90 minute parking in the back lot shared with the other establishment on this block of Lake Ave. During this visit, I opted for the Santa Maria BBQ chicken salad, which turned out to be a good choice. To sweeten the experience, I also selected four different cookies to share with my friends. The food was a hit, and the relaxed ambiance added to the overall enjoyment. The service was fast and friendly even though there were people ahead of my friend and I. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a leisurely meal with friends, Urbane Cafe offers a satisfying blend of convenience, menu variety, and in a comfortable setting.

So healthy and tasty and has the BEST chocolate chip cookie (so yummy, better than Panera’s)!!!! That is always my highlight of coming here. I love their sandwiches and salads. They are ALL tasty and good for you! I have come here multiple times and eaten many times outside and inside. There is always seating! I came with a group of 7 people and we were able to get the big table inside (today is a scorcher of 100 degree weather)! Parking is plenty outside. Bathrooms require a code but it’s clean inside and the AC felt great!! There is free water and napkins provided as well 😀 I highly recommend this place and pricing is average ($15 for a sandwich that comes with a side salad).

Urbane Cafe was one of the pioneers in the farm to table restaurant concept. Not to be confused with Urth Cafe, this healthy eat sandwich and salad restaurant has a unique menus catering to farm to table freshness. It doesn’t serve coffee but fountain drinks. In 2003, Tim Holt opened its first sandwich shop in Ventura and then expanded to multi-locations. It’s menu is very similar to Mendocino Farm that’s few steps away on Lake. It makes its bread on site fresh. So all the sandwiches are made using the freshly out of oven bread. Cranberry Brie turkey sandwich seemed to the winner here. My wife and a couple of friends ordered that today when we had lunch there after church. The combination of cranberry and Brie seemed to please many People’s eating palates. It’s the most popular items on the menu. I wanted to compared their Banh Mi to Mendocino Farm’s. So I got a chicken Banh Mi. I felt that the Banh Mi at Mendocino was tastier with more depth in flavor. My other friend got the Mediterranean salad bowl with chicken. It looked healthy and yummy. Maybe I will try that next time. For fast and casual dinning, this is a popular restaurant to try out.

Great sandwiches. They have pretty good selection and they have all been delicious. The best part is the bun, they are so soft and the sandwich just melts in your mouth. They serve the sandwiches with a salad too which is quite healthy. They are great for catering too. Portions are a bit too small for me but overall it is very delicious.

I had the chicken cilantro salad with slice of focaccia bread. The lunch portion was great and salad was fresh. The mango lemonade was refreshing. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Every time I visit this location, I’m ALWAYS greeted with a smile and provided optimum customer service. The General Manager (Ben I believe) is really attentive and professional, along with his staff. Definitely recommend this spot for sure!

I don't know how rate the atmosphere, never cared about it. If the food is good and the staff is polite and friendly, why should I care about the atmosphere.

Very few non-vegan restaurants have vegan mayo and cheese, so I was thrilled to be able to order a sandwich. Far from fancy, but a nice place for a sandwich and chit chat with friends, either sitting inside or outside. Parking lot is free for first 90 minutes. My family loved the fresh-baked non-vegan cookies for dessert and even bought extra to take home!

The food was solid ...it was my first time possibly not my last...the service however by Ben & Misriel was much better than the food both the young man at the register and the Manager today 10/18 1pm were great !

Ordered cilantro salmon salad (substituted salmon for chicken). The salad was great, fresh with just the right amount of vinaigrette. But I’d expect more salmon for the price.

Last year I had surgery. The night before the surgery we ordered from Urbane Cafe as a treat. Everyone in my family received their orders except me. I was already nervous because of the impending surgery, so this did not help. I ended up eating a bowl of cereal. My family's food was just so so. On Friday night we thought we'd give them another chance. I mean how could this possibly happen again. Well, fool me once shame on them, fool me twice shame on me. This time they forgot my husband's order. Now, we do not have a lot of money so ordering food is a very special treat. The food received wasn't even that good. And, their prices have skyrocketed. I was very upset. It makes me sad that there is such a lack of pride in their customer service practices. We will NEVER order from them again. To some this might not seem like a big deal, for me it was. I hope this post helps to prevent anyone else from having this type of experience.

This is unacceptable! I ordered the chicken cilantro salad, I gave urbane cafe a second chance and I got disappointed like the first one, CHEF PLEASE PAY MORE ATTENTION WHAT IT COMES OUT OF YOUR KITCHEN! Never come back!

I stopped by for lunch and ordered a Mediterranean bowl. I asked for my food after 20 mins and was assured it was on the way. I waited a total 30 minutes and had to ask for a refund because my food still wasn’t coming out. Another family also requested a refund for waiting longer. The to go orders and delivery app orders were taking 5 to 10 minutes to fill.
