Opiniones de Smitty's Grill Pasadena
Great place to meet up or hang out and spend some quality time. I did not have a wait time since there was an open space at the bar. Did not order a meat dish this time but they have great options on the menu. My lobster ravioli was creamy and very tasty. Definitely coming back to order my steak.
Great ambiance, great food, great service. We split a Calamari Shrimp starter. Calamari was good, liked the thick crunchy breading, thought the grilled shrimp was a little dry (over grilled). Truly enjoyed the Cornbread. Rhwy make it in the morning and cook or 7/8 of the way. Pop it in tgw oven on order and it comes out with a crunchy crust side and bottom and top. Seeved with soft butter and honey. Sooo good! We all had Cioppino. The broth was a perfect smooth texture and spices were spot on. Nice selection of clams, mussels, fish, shrimp and scallops. Crusty bread crisp to perfection. Great for dipping or break up like croutons. Our sever was outstanding. Can't miss!
As many times I've eaten here, Im surprised I've never left a review. It's one of my favorite spots when visiting CA, I always make a point to stop by in Pasadena. The staff here is absolutely amazing, I usually sit at the bar and eat. Regulars are often here as well, so I can enjoy a good conversation too. I've only ever had one issue here, and it was immediately handled accordingly by the manager and I was satisfied with the outcome. I typically get an espresso martini and a special if they have one, or the rib-eye and a baked potato. Meats cooked properly and delicious. Portions are pretty large, and I typically have leftovers. Definitely a must visit in Pasadena!
Smitty’s is, without a doubt, my favorite place to dine in Pasadena. Whenever close friends visit from out of town, this is the first restaurant I take them to—it’s that special. Everything at Smitty’s is done to perfection: the food, the cocktails, the impressive wine list, the decadent desserts, and, most importantly, the exceptional staff. From the moment you step through the door, you’re transported back in time to the glamorous restaurants where Hollywood royalty dined and celebrated in the 1950s. The ambiance is timeless, the service impeccable, and the experience unforgettable. I truly can’t say enough great things about Smitty’s—it’s spectacular in every way.
What a great find this was. Everything we had was just wonderful. Cioppino, corn bread, the wedge salad were the perks. We weren't big fans of the fried chicken or the potato chips. They were a little bland tasting. Our server was Anthony and he was amazing. Always attentive and friendly. This place is definitely worth a try.
Smitty's is one of the few restaurants that continues to offer consistency in its food and service. Their staff is always striving to offer great service, they are both friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and great quality. They offer a good variety of options for different dietary requirements or preferences. The atmosphere is vibrant and they have options for a more quiet and intimate setting with their outdoor and back patio which features fireplace seating. We visited again recently and had another wonderful meal. On arrival the hostess said our only option was outside when another employee stepped in and checked again and found a great table inside. It was a busy Thursday and at first it felt loud but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and soon I settled in and didn't notice. I suggest making a reservation they always seem busy, a testimate to what a Pasadena gem it is!
Overall I’d rate this a 4.6, so I rounded up to a 5. The atmosphere is good, but a bit dark. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. However, I am over 50 so my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Interestingly the sound/noises from across the room carry pretty far. The food is very good. I had the Smitty’s famous meatloaf. It’s very fine in texture. I do wish it was a little saltier, but that’s easy to fix. The cornbread was definitely a highlight and one of my favorite things. The wedge salad was good and fresh. They give you a pretty big sized wedge. They offer valet parking in back, but there are plenty of self parking spots available in the front and back.
Food was delicious and very beautiful comfortable vibes. Sauteed mushrooms goes perfect with prime rib french dip. Calamari and shrimp was perfect. Lastly the key lime pie a great end for dinner. Looking for yummy food and dinner for two fancy. This is the place to go
Charming restaurant with good comfort food. They are open for outdoor dining now. Good vibes in the patio with great classic music which creates an amazing dining experience. With Dine LA week, the restaurant offers their favorite dishes with great prices for dinner. The three main dishes for the Dine LA week menu include steak, baby back rib and trout fish. To started with, we ordered their famous corn bread on pan. I love their corn bread as it’s crunchy and tasty. For the main, I chose the Trout dish from their DineLA week menu for $45 along with a soup and chocolate mouse dessert. That’s a great deal. It’s also a great value for the money as the trout tasted fantastic. The meat was tender and flavorful. My wife ordered their Rattle Snake baby back rib. The ribs were BBQ the right way with great sauce. I understand this is one of the favorites with their customers. The restaurant has excellent service. Our serving team was very kind and efficient. They consistently add water to our cup and clean the table after each dish was finished. Currently, the restaurant only offers valet parking for $5. No self parking for now.
Very good resturant, food is great, we order fish of the day king salmon and also tomato soup was great, desert was very tasty too
My husband had their famous meatloaf and it was pretty good. The Cioppino was a bit fish but maybe because there was a lot of fish in it. :) The bread that came with it was fresh and crispy. My son had the side of mac and cheese with ham and that was super cheesy and delicious. He demolished it.

Asked for the bottle of honey to be served rare but it was definitely well done. Couldn’t even cut into it. 5 stars. Service was so good we decided to stay together instead of breaking up. Highly recommend the ice cream soup.

This places interior decoration is off the charts. Came during the holidays and the views were exquisite. The food is very good. I was dining alone so the servers kind of forgot about me though.
Absolutely the best ribs I have ever had and thats saying something. I own a small farm.and bbqing is in my blood. This place i took notes from!!! The wife got the rib eye and same thing Absolutely amazing!
The Food is Above Average, but where they get the 5 Stars is in the Absolutely Impeccable Service they provide. Not only is the Service Superb, but all the Servers and Cooks and the rest of the Staff seem like they really enjoy working there and have a really good rapport with each other. I was quite impressed ! This was the perfect backdrop for my Niece and her Fiancee who were preparing for an upcoming weekend wedding………
Absolutely wonderful experience great food decently priced and great service they have a great cocktail 🍸 menu and wine i highly recommend!!!
Dined at Smitty's on 17 Jul 2024 - my wife's birthday. What a great experience, food, service and ambience all excellent - onion soup so good had two bowls.. main was trout with broccoli, lovely wine, smitty's brought a nice piece of chocolate torte with candle at the end of perfect meal. Thanks!
Smittys is hands down the best restaurant in Pasadena(in my opinion). The atmosphere is classy, the service men and woman are all pleasant, and the food is drop dead delicious. Never have I left it in a mood other then ecstatic. Thank you Smittys for making my day every single time :)
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary abd absolutely loved it. Had some bread with the garlic & herb butter, a mixed greens salad, cajun fried chicken sandwich, a ribeye with a baked potato, pecan pie, coffee and a couple of drinks. Absolutely delicious and service was impeccable. The ambiance was perfect. We appreciated our Anniversary card. Will definitely go back.

It was a great place to celebrate a recent promotion in my Travel Business! It had that old school dining feel with high back booths and dim lighting, I'm all about ambiance!! The food and the service were great, we really enjoyed our evening here! I had the crab cakes, my husband had meatloaf and we shared the smitty salad, which I highly recommend! My husband said the meatloaf was soggy which was why I gave a 4 out of 5 on food, otherwise it would have been a 5!
Smitty’s feature classic American food served in an intimate setting. The menu has not really changed for the last 5 years. The iron skillet corn bread, prime rib French dip sandwich and baby back ribs do not disappoint. The crab stuffed calamari special is underwhelming. The star of the dinner are the desserts. The key lime pie is tangy and sweet. The raspberry chocolate cake is guilty rich

Service was good, food was good, it was a little warm that night which made our private seating area outside a bit uncomfortable that particular evening. My cocktail, the cornbread, and the potato chips were delicious! Definitely my favorites while dining there for my first time.
