I stopped by Urth Caffe Pasadena and honestly had a really nice time. The vibe there is super chill and cozy, but still lively enough that it feels fun to hang out. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, chat, or just enjoy your drink without feeling rushed. I’m already a fan of their coffee, and this time I tried the Spanish Latte. It smelled amazing right away, and the taste was just as good—smooth, slightly sweet, and really comforting. Definitely a solid choice if you’re not sure what to order. One thing I appreciated a lot was the parking. There’s a lot in the back, and it was easy to find a spot, which is sometimes hard for popular cafés. I also tried the Matcha Tiramisu, and that was a pleasant surprise. It’s an interesting way on a classic dessert, with a nice matcha flavor that isn’t too strong but still stands out. Overall, it was a great visit, and I’d totally come back again for the drinks, desserts, and laid-back atmosphere.
There will be a line, which moves pretty fast (worth the wait), which gives you the opportunity to choose your meal. There are several open, outdoor & indoor space to dine, wonderful decor. The wait staff are very welcoming, overall great customer service. The brunch experience rates 5⭐️s! And the pistachio matches is divine, yummm🍵.
Another early court morning… and then a well-deserved brunch with colleagues at Urth Caffé. I’ve heard so much about this place, so I finally went for the Salmon Benedict, grapefruit with cottage cheese, and of course coffee — you can’t skip coffee here. The food? Honestly fantastic. The salmon was fresh and buttery, the brioche was soft inside with a little crisp outside, and that Hollandaise with pomegranate on top is a brilliant idea. I could easily give the kitchen 5 stars — they did their part perfectly. But service is the reason this visit becomes 4 stars. First, tables weren’t being cleared for way too long. There were at least ten dirty tables sitting full of dishes, and nothing happened until I asked two different employees to clean one for us. Second — everything came out almost at the same time. My grapefruit was great, but by the time I got to the Benedict, the eggs had already gone cold. Not the end of the world, but you can feel that the kitchen actually tried… so it’s sad to lose that fresh, warm moment. There was also a small mix-up with my order: I added extra cottage cheese, it didn’t arrive, and the server said it wasn’t on the check. Then he brought it anyway, as a courtesy — which was nice. Fifteen minutes later he came back, apologized, and admitted it was on the order and they made a mistake. That honesty earned respect. No excuses, no arguing — just a real apology. That matters. At the end of the day, this place is still great. Food is solid, atmosphere is beautiful, and I’ll definitely be back. Hopefully next time they’ll match the kitchen’s level with quicker cleaning and smoother service.
Will definitely be back here! Yes, it’s expensive and yes it’s super busy, but everything we had from here was delicious! I need to try more of their menu, but their pastries are perfection. My latte was smooth. We came on a Saturday during lunch time and it was packed and hard to find a table in the shade. Be prepared for a difficult table search if you come, but other than that the service was fast!
Our first time here. We were unsure because of the line outside but it moved pretty quickly, due to their efficiency, i.e., having lots of menus available for people to make sure they know what they are ordering before getting to the counter, having an extra order taker working the line. Everything we ordered was fresh, perfectly seasoned and quite tasty.
I've eaten food from Urth Caffe before but this was my first time actually eating there. It was a pleasant experience and their Vegan Chocolate Cake is still as good as ever. I also tried some of my friends Pizza Catona and it was very tasty. The prosciutto and burrata are the stars of the show. Also tried a Moroccan Mint Tea Latte and it was something different but enjoyable. The mint and milk go well together and the drink is very creamy. Enjoyed my time here and would definitely come again.
That restaurant provides high quality food and beverages at reasonable price. My favorite drink to get from there is the Rising Sun Matcha. Espresso, dark chocolate, and Matcha make for a rich combo. The wide variety of food options is the only challenging thing about that place.
I very much enjoyed this place. It was I two friends and a dog who enjoyed the indoor service on a cold January night. The place is known for its location having some cold nights. The food was great, and the Spanish Latte was a true treat. I would have ordered two but it was late at night. Variety of good and healthy food. Order at the counter and food is delivered to your table. A popular spot in Pasadena on Colorado Blvd, away from the business of Old Town and Paseo.
Urth Caffe is a must go to spot if you’re looking for a place to chill while sipping some tea or coffee and enjoying a bite to eat. The Rose Matcha is delicious. The Mediterranean Platter is easily shareable and includes small bites like olives, falafel, pita bread, hummus, and more. I tried the cheesecake and yum! They definitely expanded their seating area and looks so cute at night with a candle and lights. There like will be a line upon ordering but that’s expected for unique places. The staff is nice.
The food it was very good. Certain desserts are not my favorite tho. The view it’s beautiful! I went there coupon times. The first time I went with my boyfriend I thought it was amazing! It was lovely spot to chat, hangout, or do some homework or just chill by yourself.
I had no idea how gorgeous the Urth Caffe Pasadena is!! Delightful high ceilings and glorious custom tile work everywhere. Like visiting a museum with great food and drink.. and friendly people. Sunday morning line appeared long but two kind employees were taking orders so fast and accurately that we all could barely keep up. Pistachio/chocolate croissant and Caffe Berbero (espresso layered over condensed milk) was happiness. Multiple spaces and rooms added different views and sounds scopes. Exemplary espresso. Sweet vibe. Happy people with California sunshine pouring in. Easy parking lot immediately south of Caffe.
Urth Caf of Pasadena is an American restaurant that offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have one other location in Santa Monica. I came in for Brunch. And I was warmly greeted by staff. I had a Chicken pesto omelet and hot Jasmine Flower Green Tea. Both items are tasty and satisfying. Food portion was sufficient enough to satisfy a full grown adult. Atmosphere was okay, not too loud. Staff were great. Service was okay. Prices were fair. Overall, I had a good experience and food.
Update 11/2025 We came again and everything is delicious. Place wasn’t packed so there were plenty of tables. We love it. Staff very friendly l. First time here. Everything was great. Food, coffee. Staff friendly and the patio area was very pleasant. I definitely coming back.

Wow! This is the cutest coffee shop I’ve ever been to. All of the tile and arch ways made me think of my trip in Morocco. We ordered the blackberry tea and the honey vanilla latte. Both were delicious! We sat outside on the patio, the weather was perfect and the music was also nice. One of those songs was the main song from Titanic!
Lena at the register made recommendations and was friendly. She knows the menu and seems to enjoy working here. It’s important to have a positive attitude in your work environment especially when you are working in a restaurant.
I love this place and keep coming back for their waffles. They have a good selection of foods and drinks and they are very delicious. However it is very busy and there’s always a line out the door. This is one of our favourite brunch places by far! The decorations were so beautiful and the outdoor seating area on the back street was quiet and nice too. We ordered the pistachio latte, a lemonade, a slice of apple pie, quiche of the day (tomato and basil) and the New York style sandwich. We loved the sandwich the most! The portion was huge and we ended up spending $64 on everything we got. Totally worth it but next time we might just share something cause everything was huge!
This place is amazing and so beautiful. The food and drinks are great… you just want it all. I’ve been wanting to come here for a while and I’m so glad I did. I brought my son with me and what we ate and drank was fantastic. We shared the tiramisu and he loved it. The atmosphere was great, the service was non stop. It was packed and everyone from children, students, families and those wanting time for themselves were here. The parking is available for all, but be patient and check the time zones if not in a parking structure.

Their Italian cappuccino was spot on, not overly sweet with good cinnamon flavor. However, the other two items we got did not taste anything as described. Their rose matcha tasted like a basic Matcha latte, and their Spanish latte tasted like a plain vanilla latte. I don’t understand what was so unique about it. I got one too many drinks, thinking they were going to be amazing art as shown in owner photos. The decor was very beautiful and true to its name, the service was also very quick and friendly. One of the better Urth locations with good vibes in Pasadena. However, I do not recommended to-go because their drinks just take way too long (15-20 minutes for a drink).
