I had the Spicy Chick (level 1 because I'm a wimp!) with the fried tofu. Honestly, I was a little nervous ordering this because chicken is their specialty and tofu done wrong is gross. Absolutely not the case! It was phenomenal. Thank you, Chick Magnet, for creating an equally delicious option for us vegetarians!

The most crunchy chicken sandwiches I've had so far in the Rochester area. They have a wide selection of sandwich options, like the local classic Buffalo chicken sandwich to a Banh Mi influenced chicken sandwich. They also have a very cheesy 'Mac & Cheese' side-dish, as well as a side-dish they call the "Nest". Which is their take of 'fries', which you will need to experience.

We ordered the magnet and the Ripley. They are so good that we immediately wanted more and added the fiesta (May special). They have very juicy fry chicken breast and good seasoning to go with the sandwich. All are very good. We thought we are taking a picture of the fiesta to write about this good place but we could not wait and was only able to take a photo of half of the fiesta. Definitely coming back!

Place is great! I got the Riley's with the vegetarian tofu. It was really good, and cheaper than the chicken sandwhiches, which I appreciated (most places actually upcharge you for vegetarian options). It's not as crispy as the chicken options, but still flavorful. The "nest" was HUGE. Could easily split between three people, and it tasted great for days afterwards (lots of leftovers). Just ask them for a side of ketchup too. This place is great food for a great value.

We were first time customers and enjoyed our meal immensely. We ordered online for store pick up and our order was ready, fresh, and hot upon arrival. We've gone twice now and were very impressed both times. The breading on the chicken is delicious and the chicken is juicy. My favorite is the Nashville tenders and the Mac and cheese.

First of all, I'm a vegetarian married to a carnivore, so it's not easy finding places we both love. Especially fast casual dining. But this place has got it. Even if you're not a fan of tofu, the sandwiches made with the crispy tofu steak in place of the chicken are fantastic! Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, and the service is fast and friendly. They have a small dining room so you might want to plan for takeout if you go during a busy time. A great spot, worth the drive!

We are out of towners and we always do well with the little spots. Fried chicken is on point, loaded fries are addicting with a homemade cheese sauce. Sammie's are served on Texas toast. Everything we had was an explosion of flavor. We will be back

Small place set back from the street in a parking lot..took a minute to find.. a few table inside and a few out. Three guys working the small kitchen cranking out big prices of crispy fried succulent chicken ! The sandwiches are quite good and definitely worth the price...I've never tried the sides but others seemed happy with them. Best chicken sandwiches around.

WOW! I am just a few bites into my 585 Finger Plate but it's just that damn good that I had to stop eating so I could post my review immediately. I have a new favorite chicken restaurant and still plenty of dishes to try! I ordered over the phone and added a soda and I didn't notice until I got home that I didn't receive it. Food is so good I'll get over it. You must try it here if you love chicken! Seriously, this 585 Finger Plate is incredibly flavorful and the chicken melts in my mouth! Bravo, Chick Magnet!

Absolutely LOVE it !! Delicious Gluten Free Fried Chicken 😋 Being Gluten free there is nothing I have missed more than fried chicken !! This crew nails it !!! Google led me to a "gluten free near me" option while traveling last week and I found their Henrietta restaurant - I was so excited to be seeing an entire menu I could enjoy without getting sick ! We order and while we waited the manager heard it was out fist visit and came out to chat with us. The service all around was wonder and so personal. With good people came GREAT food - everything was wonderful - the loaded spiral potatoes & sandwiches were amazing. Less than a week later & I had to check out the Penfield location that is less than 5miles from me !!! Both locations have amazing food delightful staff. If you wanna kick back and eat in-house then go to Henrietta. Potatoes were best hot & fresh so in-house has some bonus to it We will be back 😋😍

Phenomenal taste, generous sized portions, quick and professional service. This is an amazing place that the state of New York should brag about and be proud of!! We bought the 585 Plate which had two large chicken strips, meat sauce, Mac salad, and fries. It was seasoned with a spicy mayo type sauce. All food is made to order and the wait time is relatively short. You can call ahead also.

Delightful! The only downside today--or maybe this is just my Caribbean bloodline speaking--it was chilly in there! That aside, the food was delicious (they had me at Texas toast)! I ordered the chick-mi and the California fried chicken sandwiches, Mac and cheese, cajun corn, and ribbon fries. The chicken sandwiches were incredible and have converted me to Texas toast for all chicken sandwiches! I loved that they actually pickled the vegetables for the chick-mi instead of just shoving raw carrots on it. The Mac and cheese was very creamy. Almost too creamy and thick, but I'd that really a bad thing? This is a place where you have to come back to try everything bit by bit until eventually they name a sandwich after you (and they have before!).

My mom and I are something of self-proclaimed spicy chicken sandwich connoisseurs. We make our own sandwich and we have a tradition of trying every spicy chicken sandwich restaurant we can find. We have tried a few dozen different sandwiches, and we've been perfecting our recipe for about 4 years. We have never, ever had a spicy chicken sandwich as good as the one we had here. It was LEAGUES better than any sandwich we have had before, and much better than the one we made, which was our previous crowned champ. Not only was the sandwich the best we have ever tasted, but the employees were lovely to talk to. We talked to the owners son (or he may have been the co-owner), who told us the story of his dad perfecting the chicken sandwich over 20 years while he taught culinary arts. If you are into chicken sandwiches, or hot food at all, this is definitely worth a stop. I recommend the spicy chicken with the level 2 (hot) sause, or level 3 if you really like hot food. For special requests you can ask for level 4!

Great spot if you love chicken! It's a bit nestled in its location and the Maps directions were weird to get here, but once you get there It's DELICIOUS! Indoor seating is limited but in better weather there's outdoor seating as well.

Really surprised by how good this sandwich was. I got the Spicy chicken which had pickles and it was incredible. Not the prettiest looking sandwich in the world but who cares. It was huge and delicious. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy it just had a good flavor to it. The only knock I have on this place is their menu doesn't have fries which is seriously disappointing. Best fried chicken sandwich in all of Rochester – no question. The Texas toast makes each bite an endeavor, but it's perfectly toasted and loaded with flavor. Furthermore, the chicken was still crispy even after an hour after pickup. Finally, the magnet sauce elevated every dish.

Everything was good the spicy chicken sandwich was actually spicy and they definitely give you enough chicken. They even have a tofu option. Also the mac salad is top notch.

Salads and Chicken Fingers were INCREDIBLE! Southwest Salads were the biggest and loaded with a full bowl making almost enough to split for two. The 585 Chicken Fingers, three very hearty breasts, were hand battered and cooked to perfection. We doubted the super strong reviews, but they are true. The sides were equally strong with the mac and cheese crispy on the edges, just right. We ate outside on the deck as inside seating is limited.

This is the best fried chicken sandwich I've had in Rochester! I ordered The Magnet, which is their basic chicken sando, but it was anything but basic, really. The chicken is a huge piece that's juicy and has perfectly crispy breading all around. I also got the mac and cheese and loaded ribbon-cut potatoes and they were delicious. The mac and cheese side is a pretty big portion for only $3. Lots of cheesy goodness with an oven-baked top. The potatoes are a big portion and for sharing. Loved the combo of bacon, cheese, and scallions. Everything I had was amazing and I will be back to try more very soon!

I stopped by this place to eat while we were in town. Got the Riley's Chicken sandwich & the Mac and cheese. Both dishes were very good and I would recommend them for sure. The chicken is hand breaded and large pieces.

Quite a joint! Not much seating inside, but the food was fantastic! Flavor, moisture, and huge portions. We had the chicken club sandwich, the loaded ribbon fries, and the waffle chick. Everything was made for us to order. I actually burned my mouth at first bite because it smelled so good!

Great chicken, reasonable prices and huge chicken fingers. They were full of customers pretty much right at opening but my order was still complete within 10 minutes. I orders the Nashville chicken sandwich with some fries and Mac and cheese. I only got the hot level for my chicken sandwich and it was definitely spicy! Portions were generous. Mac and cheese could have used some more seasoning as it was a little bland, my only complaint... but for the price point on the Mac and cheese, I cant be mad. I will return here soon to try out some more menu items. Overall, I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Excellent chicken they had here. I wish they had fried bone in legs/thighs. That would take them over the top. Great job overall.

I was recommended this place by a coworker and while I wasn’t expecting how small this place was, the food was still fantastic. I got their garbage plate and the chicken finger to side ratio worked out well. My wife got their garbage plate 585 chicken fingers and these were great. These weren’t just skinny chicken fingers with barely any meat, no these were the fattest chicken fingers I have ever seen. As stated, their building is small, so if you want to dine here, it’s more for couples and single dining. If you want a family size meal, it’s better to order takeout. But either way, I’m glad my coworker recommended me this place. Will come back.

I've been eating here since they opened and I went from normal to being gluten free and there are very few things I appreciate more than being able to continue to enjoy the food I have been without sacrificing quality. The prices aren't bad, the service is good, and I love the little interior. Highly recommend literally everything on the menu. First time to order from Chick Magnet. Observation of restaurant, as I walked in it was clean and spacious with lots of tables to eat. I was greeted with a hello and the staff was friendly while taking my takeout order. The food arrived quicker than expected, and the manager noted that because the tenders I ordered were on the smaller size an extra one was added to my order at no cost. Once home the chicken tenders were delicious, the crust was crunchy and the meat was tender and warm. Even though I was told the tenders were on the smaller size, they were still pretty large. I believe these were the best chicken tenders I’ve had in Rochester. As for sides, ordered a Nest and a Loaded Nest which is a potato cut into curls and fried. The loaded nest came with cheese sauce, bacon, sour cream, and chives. All were delicious and you get quite a bit for an order at a great price. I will definitely be eating here again.

Make sure you come hungry cause this place left me wanting more after only 3 bites. I never leave reviews, but this place is awesome, I got the Magnet sandwich and it was like a chick Fil A sandwich dialed up to 11, these guys have it figured out in a great way. The atmosphere inside is lacking, it’s pretty divey, I mean the bathroom right when you walk in being wide open is kinda bad, but the outdoor seating is nice and trust me…after you eat you wont even care. Sandwich was like a 9.7/10, price was also fair $10.50 for a stellar sandwich, will 1,000% be going back.

I checked this place out because it had so many great reviews. I got the chicken sandwich level 2 hot, and it was pretty good. I liked how they used toast instead of plain old buns. Just had lunch here today and it was good. I had the finger plate and my friend had the chicken sandwich and the loaded fries. I wish I had gotten that one instead lol. The finger plate wasn’t bad, but I am not a fan of fries unless it is sweet potato fries and wasn’t paying attention when I ordered. Overall, it was a lot on the plate and the price was pretty reasonable. I would come back again and maybe try a chicken sandwich. The mac and cheese tasted great.

I'm a foodie and a hard critic when it comes to eating out. The service here was outstanding!, the prices are definitely fair, they have some seating, it's a cozy little spot, and the food is crazy good! I got The Magnet Chicken Sandwich with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese added to it and this was one of the best if not the best Fried Chicken Sandwich I've ever had! The ingredients are all fresh and premium. There are no excuses to go to another place for a Chicken Sandwich around here.

It’s one of those hole-in-the l-wall places that just makes great food. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you stop by. A couple can share the chicken fingers, they are huge. Delicious sandwich but chicken was a little dry at the edges. The Mac and cheese had a great crust and a decent sized portion.

The chicken was very good, but the price was exactly that pricey for what you receive. You get JUST a sandwich the rest is extra and it adds up quickly. Also there is NO HANDICAPPED PARKING and the ramp to the restaurant has a terrible lip at the entrance that would be hard to get a wheelchair over. It looks like their working on the outside so I hope it gets fixed.

Although I live much closer to another restaurant with a similar product, which is also very good (Chick'n Out), I make the extra drive to Penfield for two main reasons. One is the price. At The Magnet, I am able to get three fantastic, BIG tenders for $10.50, (or add $1.25 for Nashville style tenders), without having to pay another five bucks, because Chick'n Out's tenders, and sanwiches too, are only available paired with one of their sides. This in fact makes The Magnet's menu about $5.00 less across the board. The second reason is The Magnet's proprietary "Magnetic" sauce, which is unique, and very tasty indeed! My only gripe with The Magnet is how they prepare what is called The Loaded Nest, (thus the 4 stars), which are in-house made fried thin potatoe slices, called ribbons, topped with cheese sauce, bacon, and sour cream. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice change on traditional loaded fries, but in execution, they suffer from the same cardinal sin as most other loaded fries, and too often nachos as well; All the ingredients are on the top. Say it aint so! This means that once you eat the top layer, what you have left are naked spuds. Like clothing in winter, loaded anything (fries, ribbons, chips) should be done in layers.

A friend of ours delivered us some lunch today and it was rather tasty. The chicken was well good and coating was crispy. I would have preferred a little more sauce but I’ll request that next time now that I know. The nest was a tiny bit over cooked but had good flavor. Would try some other items on the menu and would recommend it.

I normally don't like an oversized chicken breast on bread, mainly because sometimes it's just too much chicken or causes the sandwich to fall apart but The sandwiches were good. The same price somewhere else I can get a side so value is iffy. If they cut the breast down in half or pounded them, added a side id probably put five star. The building itself is small and could use a touch up but really I'm there for the food. Service was fine. Everyone was Nice and on top of everything. Order came through without mistakes.

Order ahead of time on the app and pick up later is your best bet. Parking is abundant, but getting in and out of that busy road is extremely dangerous and difficult, but the food is very good and that’s all it matters. Employees work really hard and they’re great.

Really good chicken. Cooked perfect, let it cool a little first, the roof of my mouth will tell ya that. Super juicy and crispy. The fried bread is a nice touch. Big piece of chicken, it'll fill ya up. Price is very fair. Staff is top notch. My only gripe, don't eat in your car. I've noticed a few reviews about the sandwich falling apart. It had a tendency to do just that. The bread had trouble holding up to the juice and sauces. The chicken held together but the breading had some minor failures. I'll definitely be back!

Good sized portion for your money when it comes to the chicken sandwich. Cosela side is overpriced. Not a fan of the chicken myself could be the type of cooking oil used. Fair enough if you wanna try it yourself I'd say check it out. Tucked away behind another building but very popular. Locals seem to enjoy it. My personal opinion I like Chick-fil-A better.

I haven't been in a while. I've been craving one of their sandwiches. So I stopped in today. Their portion sizes have decreased, and so has the taste. the person that put this sandwich together didn't seem to care in the least. it was all falling apart. There's barely any sauce. big, miss on this one, big miss.
