Dickey’s Barbecue Pit located in Plano, Texas is a fair restaurant. We had a long day so we placed our order to be delivered. The ordering process was easy enough. The delivery was very prompt. The food at the beginning was good then we discovered a lot of fat on our pulled pork. We understand that it has fat but we have never seen this much fat on pulled pork from any Dickey’s BBQ in the past from any location. See the pictures that we provided. We will try another location in the future but not any time soon.

Dickey's used to be a go-to for bbq but in recent years they seem to have lost the magic touch. We recently ate at the 14th St location in Plano and were disappointed with some of the basics. The baked potato (with meat) was way under cooked. The toast was burned, the fried okra was not as crispy as it needed to be and the mac and cheese was dried out. On the bright side, the slaw was good and the green beans were wonderfully seasoned. Not sure if we'll be back for a while.

I don't often give out this low of a review but the food was so below standards. Dry brisket, canned bbq beans, Mac and cheese want freshly made in store. Just not a good experience for that price. Portions seemed small as well.

Ordered a slider. They put it on a half burnt piece of Texas toast cut in half. The potato casserole was potatoes only, none of the yummy goodies that make it a casserole. Maybe they just ran out of the things they use to make items, not sure, but very disappointed. They have jumped their prices so high, you would think they would strive to keep the quality.

Own a new business here in the Plano area. Might of fact I’m a bit diagonally across the street from your location. I’ve always been somewhat curious why is it your business always looks like a ghost town and I got my answer today when I finally decided I would patronize only to be met with complete SILENCE when I entered and said HELLO. The customer service was horrible!! No welcome no NOTHING just DRY PRESENTATION across the board. I ordered a bake potato which was subpar!! It’s safe to say at this point I will not be returning!! Should’ve took the HINT from never seeing any customers there!!👎🏾

By far the nastiest food and rudest customer service experience I've ever had. Not only were they at fault for all of my food not getting delivered but the guy who answered the phone was beyond rude and very argumentative.

First time here, and also the last time. Everything was cold, except the fries, which they fry fresh… however they do not cook them nearly long enough. They were still hard. Brisket was dry and cold. Mac and cheese was cold. When paying there is a tip screen that comes up and there’s seemingly no way to not tip. If you press “other” below the 3 percentage options, it doesn’t work. It forces you to tip. This happened to the people I was with as well. There was also a hair in the brisket. Pretty much gave up trying to enjoy it after that. Total waste of money, I’ve never had such a hard time trying to finish a plate of food. 1 meat plate with a drink came out to $26 with the forced tip. Awful.

Came for dinner, Chopped Brisket sandwich and 1/2 pound Jalapeno sausage. Brisket was cold, hamburger buns were soggy, sausage was cold. The beans and macaroni n cheese were warm at best. I was highly disappointed in everything and wont visit this location again.

I ordered a 2 meat plate and asked for moist brisket. The brisket I got was dryer than the Sahara desert. I went to get a to go box and told the guy who plated my meat that if that was moist brisket he gave me, I would hate to see what I would get if I asked for lean brisket. Tire rubber, probably seeing how dry moist brisket was. His response was lackluster. Based on food quality and employees response, I will not return.

Good brisket, but it was the only good thing. The restaurant was dirty, old and dingy (I went there 20+ years ago and never changed). The food was quite expensive. The lunch special was the same price of the regular dinner price. The owner was dishonest. The register prices were higher than on the board. The owner said that the register changed the higher prices and forgot to update the board. He gave 3 dollars, but kept my receipt! I noticed that the corporate Dickey's Barbecue Pit website no longer shows this location. I wonder why.
