Perfect lunch! Lunch was great. Atmosphere was peaceful. Service was great as well. Exactly what we needed. We had the vegetarian combo and the donor beef shawarma plate. We also had the moussaka. So good I am gluten free and didn't have any trouble with options and had PLENTY to eat.

Delicious food. It tastes like homemade. The two young men provide excellent customer service. The Kanafe and the Turkish tea are a must 😋. Nice ambiance. Good selection of music. Highly recommended. 👌

I have been going to this restaurant for a couple years now. The previous menu was way better with good food portions and quality. They changed everything an started to serve smaller portions with a taste not as good as the last one. Really disappointed. The waitress charged us the tip without our consent and tried to argue about it. Avoid this place and save your money. Go somewhere else. Very disappointed with the service, food, quality & attitude towards a customer. This is my experience. The service and the food quality can be better.

100% Halal & Delicious! Being from New York i have expectations of Turkish food. The restaurant was clean and the waitresses were friendly. Our server had a bit of an issue pronouncing the items on the menu, but she double checked. The food was good but a bit bland with the marination of the meats. The Choban salad was on point. The labne, hummus, jatik, and haydari were good. The pita was mediocre.The chicken kebab, gyro bowl and beef doner wrap were good as well. They ran out of chicken so they only had a few items left. The baklava was good but the kunefe was so much more delicious. The Turkish tea was fresh. It’s a bit over priced. If you’re in the area I def recommend a visit!

Cozy place, romantic. Delicious coffee + baklava. The staff is polite and attentive, sociable. One minus, a large percentage of tips. Overall, I recommend.

I believe the service could be improved to be more professional, especially at this location. We experienced two instances where servers dropped items from finished dishes—one of which involved a butter knife falling onto one of my guests' laps, staining their trousers. In another incident, a server brought a side plate with a new set of fork and butter knife, and the fork fell on the floor during our dinner. I was also delayed in receiving my mint lemonade, while everyone else received their ordered drinks. They could have placed water on the table before serving the drinks. Meanwhile, I ordered lamb chops and two of my lamb chops were missing their bone as seen in the photo. Anyways, unlikely to visit this location.

My visit to Cafe Istanbul was a mixed bag. While the Turkish tea was absolutely delightful, the food, unfortunately, fell short of expectations. It wasn't terrible, but definitely below average. The flavors lacked depth, and the dishes themselves felt a bit uninspired. The service also left room for improvement. The crew seemed inexperienced, with some confusion over orders and delays in bringing out food. I'm sure a bit more training would go a long way in enhancing the dining experience. Overall: Cafe Istanbul has potential, but it needs to work on its food and service to truly stand out. With some tweaks, it could be a great spot for a casual Turkish meal and a fantastic cup of tea.

This was my first time here, and it was one of the worst İskenders I’ve ever had. I can’t understand how it could be this bad. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant in such a nice location representing my country’s cuisine so poorly. I won’t be coming back — the food was definitely not worth the price. Even the tea was badly made. I hope you take my comment as constructive criticism and use it to improve your quality

The worst place in LA and the entire USA to eat! We were looking forward to having lunch at a Turkish restaurant but it disappointed us completely! The food was terrible, the waitress was rude and late with everything! She began serving our table then suddenly switched to other customers who came later than us. To our question, “when will we get our order?” She answered, “what did you want? Food?” The quality of food was extremely bad and we having been to Turkey many times, do know the taste of the real Turkish food! It was nothing like real Turkish food! And the food was extremely overpriced! Overall, the place looked filthy and had an unpleasant smell! For such a great location (Beverly Hills!!), this restaurant stood out like some dirty fast food place on a highway in the middle of nowhere! We would not recommend this place to anyone!

The food was very expensive for what I received, with only a few small slices of bread included. You have to order extra bread, which adds an additional cost. The small Turkish tea was $2, but it wasn’t fresh. You pay $10 for the tea and bread shown in the pictures. It’s not worth trying this breakfast and ending up with a big bill for almost nothing. No wonder you don’t see a single customer there. I don’t recommend this to anyone!

I recently dined at Istanbul Cafe in Los Angeles and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. While the server was friendly, the service was quite slow. The food, particularly the menemen, was burnt and of poor quality. The sarpma breakfast that I ordered was underwhelming and lacked flavor. Overall, I was disappointed with the food and would not recommend this restaurant for a quality dining experience.
