🔥 Instructions for devouring a volcano and not dying in the attempt 🍷 The chef's masterpiece The melted cheese arrives at the table not as a dish, but as a geological challenge: a lagoon of milky magma where the chistorra sausage rests coiled, an ouroboros of red meat that promises the eternal return of flavor. There is a beautiful violence in that contained boil of black iron. Then, the manual ritual: holding the flour tortilla as one holds a blank canvas and staining it with the brutality of the guacamole—violent green, pure life—and the red of the sausage. It is a taco that drips, that shines with blessed fat and the freshness of the avocado, an edible chaos that justifies the existence of hands. The scarcity of tortillas was the only semicolon in a sentence that demanded shouts, not pauses. Later, the milanesa. A breaded continent, vast and golden, crowned with a tomato sauce that provides the necessary acidity to cut through the opulence, and that melted Manchego cheese that falls like dirty, delicious snow. The potatoes, cut into cubes, look like dice thrown randomly onto the black stone, geometric witnesses to our gluttony. The service and attention from the staff were very good. The kitchen wait time was between 20 and 30 minutes when the place was full to serve the first courses. Our experience with what we ordered: Hamburger: super cheesy, the patty was thin but just right, but I felt it lacked juiciness. The caramelized onions were overpowered by the cheese. Grilled vegetables: crispy, perfectly salted, delicious. Pizza: intense flavors, one side with mushrooms and the other with peppers and arugula. I found it a bit too floury and lacked crunch. Bone marrow: a good size, cooked perfectly, but unfortunately, it had too much coarse salt. House wine: a 2021 Argentinian Merlot, 1.125 ml, perfectly acceptable. 😌 The highlight of the dishes was the grilled vegetables, which were exceptionally well prepared.
Bad, the sauces tasted like nothing… the burgers and fries were mediocre, the bread was dry… we ordered the kids' meal and the nuggets were giant pieces of (raw) chicken that we sent back and then, on the chef's orders, "no exchange was accepted because it had already been taken"… evidently it wasn't eaten… terrible customer service!!! 👀
No le doy 0 estrellas porque no se puede. Pasamos de rápido, comimos, al pedir la cuenta pedimos la terminal y nos dijeron que no estaba funcionando, cínicamente nos “mandaron” al banco de a la vuelta por si queríamos pagar rápido. Entre los que íbamos logramos juntar en efectivo lo que era pero seguíamos justos de efectivo así que no teníamos para dejar mucho de propina. Dejamos lo que nos sobró y corriendo se acercó el mesero (que no nos había dejado de mirar) para reclamarnos y decir que teníamos que dejar MÍNIMO el 10%, le pedimos el ticket para ver cuánto era y si decía en el papel que era forzoso, a lo cual empezó a escudarse que era porque entre todos se repartían las propinas. Se acercó el “encargado” a defenderlo y a decir que no entendimos bien lo que él dijo, que nos podíamos ir sin dejar nada, pero que todos sus clientes dejan el 15-20% y por eso tal vez la “insinuación”
No me extraña que tenga de calificación 3.3, el dia de hoy acudi a consumir y éramos 3 pero la señorita de recepción dijo que solo contaba con mesa grande(redonda para 5) y pues habían 2 grande y pues fue a checar con el mesero y pues "amablemente" la señorita nos dijo que solo tenia grandes y le dijimos que no importaba y dijo que no podía pasar solo 3 personas a esa mesa ya que era para 5, se me hace algo de pésimo gusto que prefieran quedarse con su mesa vacía que ha tener un ingreso que experiencia tan desagradable.
La comida no es mala, pero el servicio y atención de todooooos es horrible, pésima!!! No volveré y ojalá hubiera leído las reseñas antes de ir.
I don't recommend it. The picaña tacos are an insult. Terrible service. On top of that, they demand a tip and another 10% service charge. Avoid unpleasant experiences at this place.
Terrible service, they couldn't even bring me a menu. Don't come here, it's a terrible place. The waiters' attitude is awful. It's one of the worst places to eat in Angelopolis.
I went to eat yesterday, Sunday, November 9th. We ordered a melted cheese dish, but they didn't have any cheese, not even for pizzas. We ordered two pasta dishes with chicken, and they said there was very little chicken in the pasta. They added two tiny pieces, and for that extra charge, it was 59 pesos per pasta. I ordered spinach ravioli with cheese, and I didn't like it; I didn't finish it. I told the waiter when I was paying for the chicken, but he ignored me. However, he was still demanding a tip. Terrible food. I won't be back.
They brought us a sour dessert, and the manager assured us it was good, saying he had tried it. This was completely false, and he was arrogant and overbearing. The crème brûlée was burnt and toasted. Impossible to eat.
It used to be a good place, but now it's truly horrible... they don't anticipate requisitions, so they never have any product. The meat is tough and leathery, and the grill master doesn't understand that it's medium-rare. The service is terrible. The quality has genuinely dropped dramatically. Don't come there; the meat options are a thousand times better.
We normally eat at the other end of the plaza, so we gave this place a chance. We ordered a burger, a steak, and a sweet salad. We returned everything as inedible. The salad was whipped, the meat was of poor quality, half-disguised by a sprig of rosemary and coarse salt. We returned the burger anyway. No explanation from the waiters, no comment from the chef. We definitely won't be back.
We went to dinner yesterday because we've been customers for years. The grill chef hasn't the slightest idea about his job. The 3/4 steak was undercooked, completely rare. We returned it, and it was brought back the same, only hotter. We ordered grilled vegetables, but he forgot, and when we reminded the waiter, they were prepared in less than three minutes. They came raw, with only coloring because they'd added sauce or juice. It was tomato, squash, bell pepper, and portobello. The captain insinuated that I was complaining so I wouldn't have to pay. Then he wanted to give us free pieces of meat and alcoholic drinks. We declined and paid the bill with a tip, because the waiter cynically asked for his tip; he's the only one who did his job well. I hope someone reads these comments and does something to improve. It's a shame to see their staff bereft of knowledge and the business going down the drain. And by the way, we weren't the only ones who returned their cuts because they were cooked incorrectly.
It took over 50 minutes for my food to arrive. Two of my 5-piece dishes arrived cold. The thickness and quality of the cuts left much to be desired. I ordered a jug of wine, which wasn't from the day's menu; it was an old, chilled wine. The worst part was a spoiled fish fillet. To which the manager told us that the bad thing about the fish was the butter (I don't know if he expected me to eat it anyway). Terrible service on his part. I'd been to this place before, but all in all, I can't recommend it anymore.
I went to eat and ordered some takeout. Because they wanted to save on containers, they put four dishes together in two packages without warning or asking. The mashed potatoes were mine, and I'm vegetarian, but they served it with my companion's meat. And they put the grilled vegetables with the salad; it tasted disgusting.
Incredibly expensive for what it is. The quality of meat is not great. I'd recommend paying a bit more and going to Mochomos instead.
