Opiniones de Taiyos Sushi & Poki Riverside
This place is pretty awesome. The portion sizes of their sushi were rather large, so be prepared when ordering all you can eat. They have great customer service, and everything tasted so fresh Highly recommend going
Not enough rice. Too much anime music. Pretty good food with plenty of variety. They have lots of standard options and robust selection of deep fried tempura rolls. The nigiri had decent portions per piece. The Oishii was a refreshing and tasty option with its cucumber casing. I'd recommend trying it even if no rice rolls aren't your preference. Service was present and responsive. Atmosphere includes lots of soft warm lighting, and what I think was a jpop/anime playlist playing on the restaurants speakers at a low but noticeable volume.
Cannot go wrong when coming here. You can sit down and have some great sushi with all you can eat. It's a genius idea that you can also just go in and get a poke bowl. Great price, great portions. So delicious and the people are always so gracious and nice. It's definitely my go to on days off
For AYCE sushi, this is one of my two favorite spots in Riverside. Plenty of parking. A few transients may be loitering around but relatively a safe area. Facility itself is clean, with nice ambiance and friendly service. Fish is fresh on the days that I went (almost every other weekend), and sushi is just the right size. The only thing missing on my wish list is Orion beer.
Clean fresh atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. Had a lunch special, Fish was fresh, portions were a good value. I will return ro have the Poke . .. I am still going to Taiyos a year later, I have tried the Poke, it is as good as the sushi. Good portions made to your taste
Offers a delicious variety of rolls and sushi on the all-you-can eat menu for $24.99(dinner). All of the fish used were fresh and full of flavor; a highlight was the halibut sushi. Friendly and responsive service. It was a great place to have a late lunch/early dinner while our son was at a Castle Park birthday party.
Husband just went to pick up poke bowls. NO more poke bowls! As of 8/9/2024 no more poke bowls. Love this place. All servers are great! Sushi chefs are amazing! We have lived here about a year and this is our go to!! Try AYCE or poke bowl to go. It's all great!
Let me start by saying that I am rarely inclined to write a review— however, this establishment impressed me quite a lot. I've loved trying different sushi places in every state I go to for over 15 years. Very few establishments burn a mark In my mind but this place has succeeded in becoming one of my favorite places to eat. The speed at which the food comes out of the kitchen is surprisingly fast, and the quality itself is both beautiful in presentation AND astonishing inflavor, both in enjoyability and depth. There is no doubt I would come here again to eat.
Pretty good food and deals! I think it’s the most descent place in the IE. They have the famous 2x$30 Monday through Thursday and $25 per person during Friday through Sunday. Pretty nice place, nice location , parking available, close to the freeway, green tea ice cream, large variety of sushi, pretty legit spot. Service was lagging for a while due to high customer demand but I think they’re getting together since now they have more servers. Definitely recommend this spot, I even got hungry just writing about it.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The service was wonderful and the food was even better. We ordered all you can eat, the prices were comparable to others in the area. The fish was extremely fresh, the restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was really nice. It was also very spacious compared to other sushi places in town. The food came out very quickly and I also saw that they have beer dispensers for the table. We definitely will be back and we found our new favorite place!!!
This place is by far one of the best sushi bars in town! Service is great, prices are competitive, and everything is kept fresh. My deepest regret is not thinking to take a few pictures of the food when it came out...as well as ordering way to much. But luckily the all-you-can-eat option didn't have a time limit, so my partner and I were able to muscle the rest of our food down before leaving.
Absolute best sushi in Riverside hands down. Always fresh and delicious with a great selection or rolls and sashimi from the unique to the standard. They are a top quality operation all around, not to mention the patio is a beautiful space with greenery and wooden latices. The music is great but not so loud you can't hear your dining partners. 10000% would recommend to any sushi lovers used to orange county beach side quality.
First time visit. Prices comparable to other sushi places. Great service. Friendly & attentive staff. Tried AYCE, $33 for dinner. Food delivered promptly, as ordered and delicious. Loved their side salad, I believed it had shredded crab in it, light flavorful dressing, nice surprise how filling a small side salad could be.
My son and I had a great experience here! We sat at the bar and Han prepared and served us our sushi. The food was fantastic! Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely eat there again next time we are in the area.
First time at the restaurant. Landed from Florida and wanted a good sushi spot. Saw this from the street and husband made a U-turn and we went inside. Customer service was great . Waiter explained everything and sushi took less than 10 minutes from order to table. Highly recommend
I get the All You Can Eat. My absolute favorite thing to eat is the popcorn scallops. I usually don't like rolls but this is the best thing I've ever had in my life!!! It's lightly battered tiny popcorn scallops on a bed of California rolls. Drizzled with spicy mayo and some sort of teriyaki looking sauce. I highly recommend it. The restaurant is clean, service is great, and the chefs are skilled and create very fresh nigiri sushi, my favorite. Updated to add that I also love the seared tuna Nigiri. It's drizzled with sesame oil and something else.
The sushi is so good. Everything is fresh!!!!! Will come again
Great food place, and the staff has always been nice in my experience. Their all you can eat sushi is pretty affordable too! Sometimes they run out of certain alcoholic beverages, but they still have plenty of options.
We were in Riverside yesterday and saw this sushi restaurant open. Just opened for 1 month but it has been the best food I've tasted in a long time, for sushi. Great people great atmosphere great food. If you like Sushi go try it out, you won't be disappointed. Carole from Diamond Bar. Anything you order you won't be disappointed.
I absolutely love this place! Such a nice environment. Calm. Clean. Friendly. The prices are incredible! They are one of the few sushi places left that do all you can eat still. That is lovely! If you haven't tried, please do! And not to sound typical or anything but "you won't be disappointed" lol truthfully you won't.
I'm not much of a sushi enthusiast but I really enjoyed Taiyos. I went during the afternoon on a Sunday and chose all you can eat sushi ($35/person). There was a good amount of people in the restaurant but the food came out fairly fast each round. The service in general was welcoming and great! As for the food, I mainly ordered deep fried options and it was so delicious! The roll with the deep fried popcorn crab was amazing! It comes as a roll of 4 compared to the usual roll of like 6-8 so I wanted to keep ordering it. I tried about 6 different rolls and for someone that hates raw fish, it was surprisingly really good. For 2 people we ended up paying around $88 and it was worth every penny! I've driven past this place several times until my friend invited me so please don't overlook Taiyos!
We had a girl's dinner here. Food was really good, we loved the food! We ate at our heart's content.
Love this place! Highly recommend going here 👍👍 Great sushi & sashimi/pokè salads, Good patio ambiance & superb service. They have a decent variety of sushi and offer all you can eat. They also have combos that include your choice of sushi & appetizer(s) or Salad at exceptional prices. Must try: Baked lobster, Rainbow, Sashimi Salad & fried calamari 🧡
Best sushi ever! So fresh. Oishi roll was delicious. I have been coming here for a long time and Taiyo's is the first place that pop on to my mind for sushi.
Taiyo’s is my favorite AYCE in Riverside, by far. The service is excellent as dishes come quickly and so does taking away empty dishes. The sushi is quite above average for an AYCE place. We mostly ate salmon, shrimp, and scallops. We also had some tuna, no-rice rolls (my favorite), and baked rolls. We left full and happy. For $27.95, it’s a bargain. Nearby places are typically $3-7 more. And they add a 15% service fee. Very reasonable.
New management came through!! AMAZING QUALITY SUSHI! AYCE is such a reasonable price for such amazing, amazing sushi. The chef came by personally to check on us, I loved the quality of service. Can’t wait to come back tomorrow ;)
They changed their 'menu' a bit!!! Price went up slightly but oh boy, what an upgrade! Blue fin tuna?!?!!! What a treat! Excellent service and great tasting food!! My family had both sushi and Hotspot and we ate very contently enjoying every bite!
delicious!! service was great and rolls came out so quick. great ambience and cute lights in entryway! cute kittens outside too. love the hotpot option as well. all you can eat was great quality for a great price. shirley temple is a plus too. loved the lemon on top of one of the rolls.
First time here while traveling home, my wife got hungry and wanted to eat some sushi. This is combination AYCE and in the evening they start their Shabu Shabu. You can come for just AYCE Sushi or just Shabu Shabu or both. If you choose both just add an additional $10 to the $29.99 price. A warning to new comers their roll portions are huge so I suggest ordering 1 first and you can gauge how much you can eat. There’s 3!rounds so after estimating what you can finish you may order what your stomach feels like eating. The waitress Sarah is so nice about explaining and taking our orders. Service is quick and all are very friendly! The atmosphere is inviting with good music. All in all the sushi was fresh and does not show that it came out of the fridge. The tip is automatically added to your bill.
We tried 6 different rolls, and they were all good, but our favorite were the Alaskan roll, baked salmon roll, hot night roll, and the Fiesta. We were not crazy about the California beach. They have a regular menu and all you can eat special. We chose the regular menu. The place is clean, spacious and very nice inside. The employees were very friendly and welcoming as we entered. I'm very picky about the flavor and freshness of a sushi roll, so I was very surprised and glad to have found a place that serves good sushi. The price for the roll I pretty reasonable, and the size is pretty good. I will be coming here often from now on.
Went for the first time on a Monday, got the AYCE sushi, and was happy to see it only cost about $17 per person. It was the lunch special, which I believe ends at 3pm, and I arrived at 230pm.. The sushi itself was pretty basic. Nothing too fancy, and pretty much exactly what you would expect from an AYCE establishment. The servers were fast, friendly, and polite. Normally, a solid 3 star review when it comes to the taste of the sushi, but because it is cheaper than most AYCE sushi places, and the service was on point, I gave it that extra star. Definitely worth coming back to. Update: my review previous to this update was written over a year ago. Since then the quality of sushi and delicious varieties have gone up. The prices remained basically the same, which makes this place well deserving of 5 stars. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
The place was very empty for 630 at night. Apparently they were busy with deliveries or something because there were lots of people working. More employees than customers. The sushi was average. Nothing special but also not bad. The gentleman who was helping us was friendly and nice.
Food was ok. I didn't like the fact that they had all you can eat but certain foods you were only able to order once. The baked green mussels were great!
Everything was amazing aside from having to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged. They only had two servers running the floor, including bussing their own tables so I can understand the wait. What I don't understand is how there were only two servers on a Saturday night is beyond me. Aside from all that, the servers were incredible friendly, and the sushi was top notch.
Came by here on a whim and wasn’t disappointed. Food is decently priced and very delicious. I had the Tropical Roll, Rainbow Roll, and Heaven Roll (no rice option). There’s more no rice options, and all you can eat. Good sushi spot. Good music too, rock n roll. The staff are very nice too.
I love the food here, one of the better sushi I've had in Riverside. It is definitely on the pricier side, I think AYCE lunch is 35 and dinner is 40. Service is also kind of slow but it seems they're quite understaffed, I can't blame them. Also the only place I know around here that serves surf clam 😋 if you're into that.
Super friendly servers! Very good food & decently priced menu. It was our first time eating here. My only complaint was the music was way too LOUD. And listening to loud rock music in a sushi place just kills the mood...we went in for a quiet lunch hoping to have a discussion, but it was difficult & distracting.
This was my first time at the place, a few key takeaways include great customer service, good food and yelling chefs. I really have to give props to the 2 waiters that served us and even joked along with us. The food was good, some better than others but good overall. The one thing that ticked me off was the Chefs yelling at the waiters as they were not sure if our order was complete. Very undeserved for the waiters to get yelled at.
Miso Ramen and the Lobster Sushi, both top tier. The portions are pretty large too! The only complaint I have is that the waiters do take a while to revisit you for refills and for bill at the end, even though the restaurant is not busy (4 tables max being used, including ours, during our dining session) Aside from the long wait, I will definitely revisit if I’m in the area. The food’s fantastic 👍🏼
Ramen was ok. Not what I am use to in Chicago. But good. The sushi was great. My wife said the Ramen tasted like Chinese seasoning ( and she is Chinese ) so I trust that. But was good enough to come back.
Funny thing is we went to eat at the Chinese restaurant across the way. It was closed so we decided to eat sushi. It’s a fairly large place. Didn’t know they offered “All You Can Eat”! I never can eat enough to get that but my husband can. He ordered a plethora of things and I ordered their chicken teriyaki bento which was pretty good! My husband got a few rolls, a hand roll, a few sushi pieces, oyster shooter, mussels and edamame! He definitely got his worth! He said it was tasty. I tried some edamame and it was good. Will definitely come back to try their Poke! Can it compare to Hawaii? We will see!
The food was good, plated nicely and fresh. The service could have been a little better but not bad enough to complain. Some waiters were just more attentive than others. There were a few times we kind of just waited awkwardly while trying to flag a server over but our other servers more than made up for it. Very polite and accommodating. Overall would visit again
It a decent place to eat. Food is ok. A little bit pricey for what you get. Staff very friendly. I admit there are better places than this place. But for a person who is ok with decent to good food and don't mind spending a little but more at a local restaurant, it is decent enough. Staff there is very friendly. Why i gave it 1 extra star. Otherwise it would be 3 stars for the food Went back on Saturday Sept 5th 2020. Staff is still great. Outdoor seating was good. Very quite even next to the street. Food is still a bit pricey. Food is decent plus.
The food was really good. There were a couple miscommunications with the menus and orders. The waitresses stare a lot. Made my friends feel uncomfortable. My friends kept complaining about the wait considering there weren't that many people in the restaurant and our orders were simple. We ended up cancelling parts of our order due to time.
It used to be better, but it's gotten pretty slow, orders get messed up, or they don't send out the complete orders for AYCE. It happens pretty much every time. They also started adding tip for parties of 4 and up, but they don't tell you. There's a sign that does mention it at the front but if you're not looking at it it's easy to miss. Other ayce places let you know before you agree, which is nice. The food is still good, but prices going up + the auto tip, and the constant order mess ups makes me not want to come back.
I've eaten here a few times loved when it was half off. Price is now $29.99 a person. Went this last time was enjoying the food until I saw mosquitoes inside. We were at the bar.and I noticed the refrigeration went out. The cooling bars defrosted and the condensation dripped all over the open food. Then the chef proceeded to serve it. WILL NOT.BE BACK.
Sushi rolls are good, service not the greatest and there is a serious lack in staff. We've been coming here for about 7 months and it's unfortunate that the service has steadily declined. From the get-go the staff seemed overwhelmed, it took a long time to get our drink order out, the waitress forgot my kids food order and once we placed our second round of AYCE they completely forgot about us. More than 20 minutes had passed and there had been no indication of food coming or any certainty that the rolls were being prepared. We got up and started to walk out, we explained to the waitress that we never received our second food order. If the staff increases and the attention to customers improves, I would gladly return, but until then I don't see us returning. For anyone willing to try them, I would recommend the Hummingbird and Banana roll.
Food:sushi was flavorless and tasted like cheap ingredients or old Ramen: flavorless, should switch recipe to tonkotsu or atleast packaged ramen Egg was super overcooked Atmosphere:dated but ok Staff: ok
So... I came here looking for this Banana Crunch Roll. Says it's fried banana with a tempura roll underneath, bla bla bla. I got that, CA Roll, Caterpillar Roll, miso soup and edamame. It was 45 bucks. Ingredients - fresh, good quality Value - below average Service - good This Banana Crunch Roll didn't come as described in their menu. Or if I'm wrong, it wasn't what I expected. Overwhelming flavor of the cream cheese. And overwhelming price. 15 dollars for like... two pieces of fried shrimp tempura, raw banana, rice and cream cheese. I was a little disappointed. Caterpillar Roll emphasized the avo on top (isn't there supposed to be unagi?), but the Roll was super small. CA Roll was alright for 5.99. Miso was good price and taste - but not hot enough. Edamame... I don't know. I ordered non-garlic. They gave me garlic. It was actually very good, very big, and 2.99 - a steal! But the sushi left me underwhelmed. But it was fresh. Just not good value. We'll see if I try again.
First time here and it was good, reasonably prices and ayce, the sushi was good, the rice to fish ratio is off in my opinion, rice is packed hard in the chefs hand, pack hard so much that it makes it chewy, instead of the rice slightly falling apart when you eat it, quality of fish was good and the quail egg shooter was really good and a bit spicy, atmosphere was nice, the greeting was very nice and welcoming, please note that they automatically add tip to your bill, so when you see the total of your bill look at the tip that's added.
The quality just isn't as great as it used to be. The best thing here is the salmon or unagi nigiri is their all you can eat (AYCE). I could eat a dozen orders of this. The salmon is usually very buttery and good quality. They do give a little too much rice for my liking though. Some disappointments lately were the scallop, sweet shrimp, and escolar. The scallop is not the custardy fresh hotate I am used to... It is cooked tiny scallops inside a gunkan maki. Not appetizing at all. The sweet shrimp is also blanched or cooked. Not sweet at all. Very misleading. My recent visits they have also put sriracha on the escolar. It really ruins the flavor of the fish. Not a fan at all. Another downside is that their flame throwers make the whole restaurant SMELL like propane! It is a big turn off when you're trying to enjoy some sushi.
I know, I know. Maybe my review should be void because of my name. But hear (or read) me out. My family and I LOVE the food here. Fair price for AYCE with kids under 7 being $10. However, we were charged twice for beer, when they only brought us one. So check for that. Also they already add gratuity to the check (when we were just a party of 4), I mean big cities have it for parties of 6, but the IE, be so for real for a second. I think it’s new management and they are MONEY HUNGRY. The server was nice and quick though.
Got the Three Amigos fresh rolls to-go and was not impressed at all with them. $16.99 for very bland sushi. It did not taste bad at all, but I’ve had far better sushi. To be fair, this was the only item I’ve ever had here, but the first impression wasn’t great so I won’t be returning. Just check out the pic attached—kinda sad looking sushi too. Clean interior w a nice aesthetic though. Also plenty of parking in front of and beside the restaurant.
All was great until they presented the bill. It had the tip added already, yet the receipt they brought to sign still had a place for a tip, which I'm sure some people add one not realizing the tip was already tacked on. DON'T PAY EXTRA TIP. SIMPLY WRITE "ALREADY ADDED" ON THE TIP LINE...
We were given menus when we we're seated and ordered Ala cart from menu card. Lobster roll was excellent. When we were given bill the price on one of our items was $2 more. The cashier said " Oh the menu isn't updated, we have been told that before. Did u want to speak to a manager." REALLY, it was my birthday and my daughter didn't want to wait.
I ordered takeout on a Friday night. I paid $22 for 10 pieces of nigiri. Portions were really small and the food tasted okay. It’s probably my least favorite sushi I’ve had in a while, but maybe they were having a bad night? The bigger, more problematic issue here and the impression they left me was that they do not take allergies seriously. I had to send back two rolls because they had avocados. I told them THREE times (twice while ordering, and one more time after ordering) that I’m allergic to avocados. Almost 30 minutes later, my order comes out and there’s avocados in the rolls. It’s upsetting to wait that long for a relatively small order, but what was more upsetting was seeing how TINY and unappetizing the rolls looked for $20. One of the staff member was super apologetic though and he waived the mandatory 15% gratuity (yes, this also applies to takeout orders), so I guess there’s that. I paid for the nigiri, picked up some Wienerschnitzel across the street, and called it a night. Dear Taiyos, if you’re going to charge $20/roll and charge mandatory 15% gratuity on all orders, pleaseee do better for your local customers 🥲
Sushi was honestly really good but be ready to cancel all your plans. Me and my family waited for almost 3 hours. We did the all you can eat sushi which was 39$ per person and basically every round we waited close to a hour for the fallowing round of sushi which was really good just not really worth the wait. That being said just expect to wait a while
HEALTH HAZARD WARNING.. Couldn’t tell you about food, looks great on menu. Ordered all you can eat, and first roll came to table 60 minutes after order. If you think that’s bad, keep reading. Asked server three times in that hour what was going on and ignored. Finally found out food was delivered to table next to us 40 minutes earlier, and to beat that, the server tried to serve us our food directly from that table. Directly from their table after 40 mins, we left, called to speak with manager, but she lied and stated they didn’t have one till dinner, knowing she was the manager. Forget this place, horrible, horrible, horrible service. Simply don’t care about you or your experience, from top to bottom of the business. Probably has good food though, I wouldn’t know after an hour, and being served old food that had been spit on by coughing, and talking other patrons. Place should be closed down, since they are not following any COVID protocols.
I was recommended this place by a good friend of mine and I so happened to go try it with my husband and two of my other friends. I really was looking forward to the food and the experience but it all took a turn for the worst. The food was good I admit to that and the waitress was okay but when my party and I start feeling uncomfortable like we are being watched and employees hovering over us like if we were going to just walk out or “steal” something.. yeah no ! I was very uncomfortable and I can only imagine my friend who was a person of color. Which I’m almost positive is why they were acting like they were. I found it very rude disrespectful and uncomfortable to be in that place! I will not be going again simply because I don’t tolerate disrespectful behavior and racial discrimination! And I still tipped when I really didn’t want to but hey, karma! Please do better!!
So.. the fish on and in the rolls seemed fine as far as fresh flavor. But the rice used in the rolls was extremely mushy which is concerning because a sushi restaurant should know how to make sushi rice and personally I do not know how to make sushi rice but neither does this place. We were seated on vinyl booth seats but for some reason they were covered with floor mats. We thought maybe they were trying to cover some tears in the vinyl but possibly those floor mats were dirty and thrown up to get them out of the way. Service was lacking but she was new so it's understandable. My sprite tasted like the soda dispenser has not been cleaned in many years. And that shouldn't be. So.. owners... get the Rice consistency correct. Have servers be polite and overly helpful when possible. And most importantly and this goes to ANY restaurant! First and most importantly above all else CLEAN! If you want to run a successful restaurant you can be busy you can fail at mushy rice once but never ever EVER allow yourself to be in a position where someone can say your restaurant was unclean. Ever! And your restaurant was Fillthy. Close your restaurant for just a few days and thoroughly clean it. Then try again. You and your customers will be so glad you did!
I used to love Taiyos but tonight was the last visit for me - driving from Yucaipa for now $40 all you can eat that isn't all you can eat at all is kind of embarrassing. For our first round of food, we had one roll missing - not a big deal, but I've never had an issue here before and I've been coming for years. The first round did take a minute too. But the second one never came. I think we waited close to 40 minutes before we asked for the check. The waitress kept apologizing profusely, something about reminding the chefs of our order three times. Well those chefs tonight lost you a long time customer. $200 for four people and this poor service... never again. This was supposed to be a really rare treat for us and it just left everyone deeply bummed out.
This is by far one of the worst restaurants we've ever been. The service is super slow, its like the server purposely ignore you. She took our order sheet and never came back. Sushi took forever to come out, I'm guessing it's because the chef keeps leaving the bar to talk to customers instead of rolling our rolls. Other tables got their sushi rolls quicker and we sat down before them. Our kids finished their meal before we even gotten our rolls. Looks like we'll be taking our money and business elsewhere. I SUGGEST EVERYONE DO THE SAME!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!
Either 1. This place is a SCAM or 2. Sushi chef are incapable of making quality sushi! I saw some tables had nigiri that looked like average sized sushi however, whoever made mines, made it with so much rice! The proportion is way off. It's all you can eat, I get it. They are trying to make you full off the rice. If the rice actually tasted good, it wouldn't be that bad. Never coming back to this rip off place. Everyone do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. it's not worth getting ripped off. Also, they charge gratuity off of 2 people without letting you know in advance.
Worst sushi spot we've been to and we're very frequent sushi restaurant goers. Don't waste your time coming here. We waited for 15 min to even get our drink order taken. We waited an hour and 15 min and our sushi never came out. So we cancelled our order and ended up walking out. We should of known it was going to be an issue because when we first got there we over heard the people behind us asking why their order was taking so long as well. I must add that the place wasn't even busy for them to use that as an excuse. There were maybe 4 tables taken up in the whole place and they were all small parties, with 1-4 people. And two of those tables were already eating so technically there was only our table and one other that they had to make their food for still. We have never been to a sushi place that has taken more than 20 min to get our food out even during busy hours. There were 2 guys making the sushi so there really shouldn't be an excuse to why it would take more than 30 min let alone more than an hour and 15 min considering how empty it was. It was completely unacceptable. We just wasted our time sitting around. And on top of that the beer glass that was brought out to my husband was dirty and their soda was flat. Don't come here. There are plenty other sushi places around here that will be a TON better. Disappointed to say the least.
Horrible experience!! The wait for food is ridiculous. Arrived at 7:05, got seated immediately. Placed order within 5 minutes of arriving. Been waiting for 40 min for food. Got one roll in 40 min. Unacceptable. If you value your time don't come here. If u can't take care of customers why have a restaurant. No apology just being ignored by chef and employees of Taiyos i would give them no stars if possible.
Worst sushi experience. I was there with a small party of 3 and it took the Taiyos 2 hours to complete our orders. We were not the only customers who were NOT receiving their orders. I am not sure if it was the cooks or the management but people botched the night for me. I am from out of town and my host were trying to show me a good night. When I paid for the night they took forever to give me back my card after telling me they gave it to the wrong customer. Do not go here if you want sushi
Everybody Got SICK. Went here this past weekend, ordered several rolls and udon for my son. They brought him ramen instead, the fish tasted off but had so much sauce it was hard to tell. Nobody finished their food, I was sick by the time I got home and my 13 year old was throwing up that night along with my daughter. The wait staff tried, they are young and understaffed. But the food is definitely bad.
Well the food is alright but the waiters made me feel as if I were invisible, in other words poor customer service. My waitress took forever, for a minute I thought she had gone on her break since she didn't check up on me to see if I needed anything like a refill or if was going to order more sushi .
Highly disappointed. The first time my family and I dined here, the food was very good, but the service was horrible. I assumed they were overwhelmed and didn’t want to complain. Fast forward to today—my husband decided to give them another chance. We were greeted by a young lady at the front who was helpful and had a great attitude, which was a promising start. However, we ordered 8 rolls (all you can eat) and only received 4. We waited patiently, watching a party next to us get all their rolls—even though they arrived after us. I eventually had to inform the server that we were still waiting, and to top it off, they had forgotten some of our rolls. It’s frustrating to see such inconsistency in service. I really wanted to enjoy our meal, but this experience has left us disappointed again.
I have visited this restaurant before, and the food and service were really good. However, my last two attempts to eat there have been disappointing. On both occasions, I arrived before 10 PM. The first time, I went to takeout, but they told me they had already closed. The second time, I went with my wife for dinner, so we made sure to arrive by 8:30 PM. To our surprise, they informed us that they had already taken the last call for orders. The waiter tried to ask the chef if we could still eat, but they ended up arguing. At that point, my wife and I decided to leave. It's frustrating that they close at different times than what is indicated on their website. We ended up going to Joe’s Sushi instead, which turned out to be a great choice. The food there was excellent, and the service was very nice.
To whoever reads this, this place is not that great. Terrible customer service , lazy and no communication. The environment was horrible. The food was not satisfying, it was poorly made. We got all we can eat and we just did 1 round and did not want to keep going. For the people that wrote good reviews is crazy, because it’s not a 5 star restaurant. Overall not a great experience there, I am very upset.
I usually don't leave reviews on places, especially since I usually like this restaurant, but our experience this past Sunday was unacceptable. Our waiter was a young man and he absolutely reeked of cigarettes. It was so strong that the smell lingered with all the food we ate. We ordered the AYCE sushi and every plate that he delivered to our table smelled like smoke, and every time he passed our table it just got worse and worse. We immediately lost our appetite and could barely finish anything we ordered. So disappointing as we have been coming here for years and haven't experienced anything this bad. It seemed as though the waiting staff was just a bunch of kids yelling around and goofing off. The service here just lacked the professionalism they used to have.
Drove all the way over seeing that they were open till 3 literally sat in traffic for 45 minutes got there at 2:10 to find they were closed up nobody answering the phone no nothing in times like today when gas is as high as it probably wasted 30 bucks round trip guess I won’t be eating here ever again sucks too the food is pretty good I don’t know what to say get your stuff together or change your hours to what they should be
Omg I wish I never eat at this place , literally got food poisoning from the baked lobster roll. It was horrible I haven't felt this bad in such a long time ... I thought my insides where Guna come out. I truly do not recommend this place wish I could warn everyone not to eat there . Negative stars
