Best pizza ever outside of NYC! This is my 3rd time ordering pizza and it's always perfect. I ate it in the car because I couldn't wait.
5-25: Brighton Location. Today I had 2 slices of pepperoni which are cooled and reheated. From 3-5 they run a special of buy 1 slice get the second free. Excellent promotion to use up the pizza that was made and not sold before the dinner rush. It was good! 6.7 Then ordered a large plain pizza to go, which took about 10 minutes. The crust, the sauce, the hotness of the pie cooked my mouth, which was to be expected, since I must enjoy as many slices as possible before it gets cool. OUTSTANDING, crisp, texture, chewiness, sweetness to the sauce, and a quality mozzarella. Perfectly cooked, and friendly clean environment. Great Job staff!
Okay I was pretty skeptical at first. We ordered three pepperoni slices, one pepperoni Sicilian and a plain Sicilian and it came out to $27 and I was not happy with the price. However the pizza was pretty damn good so I changed my mind and decided it's worth it! Also I didn't have any issues with customer service as other reviewers noted, they seemed pretty friendly to me! I grew up in Brooklyn but live in Binghamton now. I've been looking for a good Sicilian slice for years. I haven't had one in a while so my memory might be off, but in my opinion this is legit and it hit the spot!!! Also the slices were HUGE. The picture is of the pepperoni Sicilian and even that was quite big but the cheese Sicilian was even bigger... It didn't look that big through the glass so just keep that in mind! They're gigantic!!! Also I liked that the pepperoni sicilian wasn't just a cheese slice with some pepperoni on top. Even the bites without pepperoni had some good pepperoni flavor. The cheese slice was really good too though. I tried a bite of the triangle slices and it was also delicious. Super-thin crust for triangles, super puffy for squares!!! As they should be!! If I didn't live 2.5 hours away I would definitely come back all the time.
First the positive. They have buy one get one free slices between 3pm and 5pm. They also offer a variety. Now. The cheese slices looked like they were sitting for a few hours. I asked. One employee stated, yeah they've been sitting for a while. Anything over 2 toppings were considered specialty pizza and were over $6 per slice. So besides the old cheese slices, they only provided 2 toppings on the rest. I got 3 slices and so 3 slices were free. That's 6 slices of pizza for a little over 20 bucks. That's crazy. I get a whole 18 inch cheese pizza (16 slices) from Pizza Stop, which is delicious BTW. And, the only reason I paid for it is because I ordered it. This was the last time tho. It doesn't even taste like it came from Brooklyn or NYC for that matter.
I got the stuffed pizza and 12 garlic wings crispy. A few things I’d note is that it’s not a stuffed crust, it’s just a stuffed pizza. In fact the crust was just filled with kind of uncooked dough, kind of disappointing. The pizza itself was super good where it was stuffed at least. The wings I got extra crispy garlic. I wouldn’t recommend it, as it was kind of flavorless. Good thing I got a side of the barbecue sauce, because the wings were kind of bland. They did have garlic on top and some oil on the bottom but it just wasn’t cohesive. I ordered through Uber eats because I had a $35 off coupon. With the $35 off and $10 to the driver the total came to $56. I don’t think this was worth that price normally, let alone without the coupon the order would have been almost $100. That’s nuts. I prob won’t go here again, it was good but for half the price I can go to little Venice and get the best pizza and wings in Rochester. I just really wanted a stuffed crust. 🤷🏻♀️
I would have liked this pizza place better if I was not charged over $20 for 3 slices of pizza. The pizza does not have the same taste as true Brooklyn pizza and was overcooked with individual slices sitting for much time before serving. I wish I could write a better review but this place was definitely not worth $20 bucks for 3 slices.
Honestly, the pizza here is really good! BUT THEY'RE SO OVERPRICED! I came in at 2pm and got 2 slices and a coke and this man said $18.39! Granted, I'm the one that paid for it because I was hungry and in the mood for pizza...but THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
I was so utterly disappointed in their "stuffed" pizza. We have been looking forward to trying this for months. First of all, there was a severe lack of toppings on the Brooklyn Bomber stuffed pizza. They were sparse. The pizza itself was so flat, despite it being described as literally two pizzas. The pizza was way too thin to be even closely worth the price. The amount of pure crust on this was incredible- I would say that the rolled up crust was literally almost 30-40% of the pizza we received. I have some hope that perhaps ours was made by an angry employee or something- hopefully not their typical presentation. When picking it up, the employee was basically complaining about the time it takes to make this pizza/ the hassle of it. I truly hope that was just one sour employee because if it truly is an item that employees don't take pride in / want to present correctly, it really shouldn't be on the menu. Particularly as the pizza costs $45! We were extremely disappointed to say the least. The only silver lining being that the crust did have a decent flavor so at least the large "pizza bones" weren't horrible to take care.
My first step in, the smell was classic and inviting. I was excited to experience this place for the first time. I saw two gloomy workers who didn't seem to want to be there and one of them didn't even know the price of a slice, let alone any questions about their double layer Brooklyn Bomber pizza which I saw on the internet and drove 2 hours to try. The pizza, being nearly $50 was a huge disappointment. The crust was the majority of the slice and the toppings were skimpy. I tried to make some small talk about the big pizza, and the maker just frowned and said the pizza takes 45 minutes to make. I bet their normal pizzas are delicious and wish that was my first experience with them. They should just remove this double layer pizza if they hate making them so much and make them sub par.
The pizza is actually pretty good but has low value for the price. The service and communication is atrocious. They BAKE their chicken wings.. There is not even a fryer in the building. Pizza is never ready on time. The slices in the window look they’re from the previous day. It’s usually dirty in there and the workers show very little care. I don’t even know how they’re still in business honestly.
When you buy a whole pie i expected for them to make a fresh pizza. NO they'll just put together there old slices that havent sold together and call it a pie. For $30 i expected better
I placed a pizza order through Joe’s website using the Slice platform. The site indicated the order would be ready in 25 minutes. After waiting over an hour with no update, I called the shop directly. I was told that drivers had come to pick up my order, but the restaurant never received it. When I asked why no one contacted me, I was told they do not receive customer contact information through that platform, so calling me was not possible. If that is true, that is at least understandable. However, the situation worsened when the employee explained that this is a known issue and that orders frequently do not work through Slice. I asked why the platform is still linked on their website if it doesn’t function properly, and I was told that corporate headquarters is aware of the issue and has chosen not to address it. Throughout this entire interaction, there was no apology, no ownership of the problem, and no attempt to make it right. The only response offered was to ask if I wanted to place a new order over the phone. To make matters worse, my credit card was still charged for the original order, meaning I now have to dispute the charge myself. Joe’s makes solid pizza, but at these prices, this level of customer service is unacceptable. Good food does not excuse poor communication, lack of accountability, or indifference toward customers. I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of other restaurants that value their customers’ time and money.
Will never try this place again. Ordered pizza and it didn’t arrive. Called. Person said “not my problem.” As to why I didn’t get my pizza. Horrible customer service. That man should be fired. Will never come back and will definitely tell everyone I know to never ever go here.
Good pizza but unbelievably priced. $5.17 plus tax for one regular slice of pepperoni. There are places in Brooklyn that have slices for less than that. Also I understand that the Mexican (ie imported) cokes have to cost more but $3.99? It seems clear to me that whoever owns this local company is only in it for the money, especially when combined with how rude and non-caring the employees are in both the Brighton and Perinton location
Pizza is average but WAY too expensive. A slice and a drink is over $11.00 and the slices are not large at all. When I was checked out, I thought the cashier had put down two slices on my order by accident since it was so much.
Expensive for two small slices. $18 for that with two drinks. NYC style slices you can fold it. This was a complete ripoff good peach drinks though. This used to be my spot also it’s very hot in here so maybe ac isn’t a thing but anyway
Workers were unaware of contents of gluten free pizza crust (checking for allergy). Picked it up and a gluten free pizza and knots (3) was $40. The knots are best compared to bagels in terms of density and taste and they didn’t even provide marinara. The worst knots I’ve ever had. Will not be returning. The pizza also lacks any sauce under the cheese.
This gotta be worst waste of $81 ever. Being a transplant from Buffalo and not finding any good pizza around here in 7 years I was excited when I was recommended Joes. I literally got a dry pie of crust ( Supposed be steak pizza). Whoever thought it’s a good idea to sell baked chicken wings with pizza should be fired. Garlic Romano baked wings in a no. (Looked white tasted worst). This is from the Brighton location. Not sure how they have 3 but it Rochester I guess.
It looks like they gave me a pie that they keep behind the counter for single slices that has been sitting there since noon. The pizza literally looked like and tasted like hard cardboard. I was born and raised in NYC and this place should be embarrassed calling themselves “brooklyn pizza”. You can even clearly tell it's old from the picture. Furthermore, they didn’t include my 2 liter soda and the Grubhub driver stated that the people that work there treated him like garbage when he went to pick up the food. I wouldn’t eat here. Waste of money.
