One of the best currys in San Diego! Love that you taste test 1st before ordering. All the curries were spectacular. Would definitely come back for more. Vwry friendly staff as well. If you love curry try this new place!🙂

And just like that, one of my new favorite Thai restaurants in San Diego. WOW! What a cool little spot. Not the biggest spot, but love the atmosphere - more intimate with a very welcoming vibe. The owner is great, so kind. Offering samples and assuring I ordered exactly what I wanted. I ordered takeout, the build your own. I got crispy pork belly for my protein, Panang, and a jasmine rice base - I also added two boiled eggs. Excellent! Flavor profile off the charts, and a very generous portion. This was my first time and I will definitely be back. Ohh, great Thai Iced Tea as well. Get yourself a free one by leaving a yelp review 😁

the owner was kind enough to let us try all the curries and i really enjoyed every single one! ended up ordering the khao soi and massaman curries, one with egg noodles + grilled chicken and the other with rice + crispy chicken. both were super delicious but my absolute favorite was the massaman! i would definitely come back and will be bringing more friends ♡

OMG! I've been driving past this Curry place quite some time and I finally decided to go ahead and give it a try... One of the best decisions I've made in a long time! Delicious food. 5 different types of curries with their own distinctive flavor. I took the Panang curry with Jasmine rice and a boiled egg. DELICIOUS! Great service and excellent pricing. Definitely go back soon!

So good!! As soon as we walked in, the owner had us try a few samples to help us get a sense of what to order. It was all so delicious! My personal favorites are the Massaman and yellow curry. Highly recommend egg noodles for your base and crispy duck for the protein. The ambiance and interior are also really lovely! We didn’t have too much trouble parking, but definitely consider that it is a small parking lot with not a lot of spaces. Super worth it though! Can’t wait to come back and try more!!

I came to CocoCurry around 11 with friend. I like how you are able to try out the curries beforehand. We ordered Khao Soi with egg noodles and grilled chicken and Massaman curry with crispy chicken. They were both rich in flavor and loved both choices! Great service as well and greeted upon entering.

cococurrysd opened just three months ago in @elcajonboulevard elcajonboulevard. The interior is absolutely cute with its green and yellow color. Lita and Buss, the ambitious couple behind it, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can truly taste the love in every dish. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Thai food. The cool thing that they have you try all their curry so you get to pick one, but you don’t know that you will fall in love with all of them and will make it harder to choose 🤣🤣 My fav was the crispy Fish Fillets with Khao Soi.

One of the best curry spot! We love the yellow curry and khao soi. The thai fried rice is also delicious! We appreciate how we were offered to sample the different curries before committing.

The place is decorated so nicely and looks super cute! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food. Our server was incredibly sweet, she answered all of our questions about the menu and even let us try some curry since it was our first time. She was also very helpful in recommending which menu options paired well together.

Absolutely loved this place! We ordered the chicken breast with yellow curry and cabbage, plus the pork belly with massaman curry with rice and veggies. Both were full of flavor, super comforting, and the portions were generous. To drink, we had the pink milk and the Thai tea with coconut milk—both were delicious and refreshing. Ordered mango sticky rice to go cause we were stuffed. While I waited for my to go order, they let me sample all the different curries so I’ll know what to get next time, and honestly every single one was amazing. I don’t know how I found space for the mango sticky rice on the drive home because it was so much food, but I’m glad I did—it was the perfect sweet finish. The only small downside is the limited parking lot, but don’t let that deter you from trying this place—the food and friendly service are absolutely worth it!

I love their Khao Soi with egg noodles and their combo desert mango sticky rice + sweet corn coconut ice cream!! The aesthetic of the entire place is very thoughtfully designed, even the the mop they use have matching colors, and the lady Lita is just the best!! 10/10 will come back again

We're big fans of Thai food and live nearby. We saw the 5.0 star rating and had to try it. It's really a tiny, but cozy little hole in the wall, but inside it is beautiful, bright and clean. The owner greeted us and offered us taster samples of their five main curries. All were fabulous and it really didn't help making up our minds. I've always liked Panang and didn't ever remember seeing Khao Soi on a menu before, so we had to try those two. The Panang was very tasty and Just hot enough to make me sweat without being too hot so as to be unpleasant (I'm an old white guy, so subtract a few heat scoville units from my scale). ;-) You pick your protein (veggie, chicken, beef, pork, etc.), then your curry, then the base you want it all over. There are also add ons/side dishes (I tried the Thai omlette, which is just a scrambled egg cooked thin). The Thai iced coffee was also excellent and was only $4.85 (I thought I saw a pic here with a higher price). The pork steak was a bit dry, but tasty (I'll spring for the pork belly next time, I cheaped out, but it won't be my last chance), the chicken breast was perfect and delicious. Gluten free is clearly labeled (which we appreciated) as well as vegan and vegetarian options. I watched the owner clean the table next to us thoroughly with paper towels, and a microfiber cloth and a bottle of spray disinfectant. Like the story from the Southwest airlines CEO about the coffee stains on the flip up tray tables, you get a sense of the amount of care they take with everything and the quality and taste of the food shows it. The portions were also generous (we took half to go). Not only was it all delicious, it was artfully garnished and beautifully presented. Not what one expects from approaching from the outside. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy, but inside it is cozy, and very well done (it was artfully decorated for Halloween the day were were there). It seems like just a "mom and pop" shop, so it also feels good to support a local couple trying to make a go of it in the very difficult restaurant business. :-) Would highly recommend, especially if you know what you want and want to grab something quick and tasty on the way home. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the dishes. <3 Pictured: 1) Khao Soi (GF) with chicken breast, pickled mustard greens, red onion, and cilantro 2) Panang Curry (GF) with pork steak, sweet peppers and green beans (both were cooked just perfectly, fresh and not cooked into mush)

My wife and I enjoyed an incredible and delicious Thai curry dishes at Coco Curry. Leta was so hospitable and welcomed us to try the different types, my favorite being the Khao soi. She made excellent recommendations for my wife who has a gluten intolerance; we’re so glad they have so many delicious gluten free options! There are amazing dipping sauces to accompany your curry. The atmosphere is very relaxed with soothing jazz/bossanova type playlist. Thank you Leta and team at Coco Curry for everything! We’ve since returned 3 times :)) Highly recommend!!!

One of my favorite Thai places in SD. We got the panang and massaman curry and they were both so good! They let you sample all the curries before ordering, they were all very good I couldn't decide which one to get. We got the grilled chicken and beef strips, both good but I'd recommend the chicken over the beef. It was so moist and so flavorful.

This is the best food in city heights! This curry is amazing, they let you sample all the flavors and it’s such a great experience. It’s so hard to pick which curry to get because they are all THAT good! The service is also one of my favorite parts!

A hidden gem in San Diego! We got to try different curry flavors before deciding, I really love the green curry and khao soi. I had the khao soi with thin noodles and it was so good and flavorful. The curry is bold and creamy. The pork is cooked well. The papaya salad I had is really good too, I like the crab. I love their Thai coffee with coconut milk as well, very bold and not too sweet. The staff was so nice too. Definitely will be back!

I came here a few days ago with friends to try this place and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. I noticed driving by a new spot just opened up so I decided to assemble friends to support a local business. The restaurant is located in a little plaza next to 7-11. The inside is modern with a nice aesthetic. We were greeted immediately as we walked in which is always a good sign when it comes to having a good experience. The worker let all 6 of us try each curry type they had like it was an ice cream shop. None of them disappointed. I ordered the pork belly, yellow curry, rice and spicy cucumber. It came out to be around $20 with tip (I threw a little extra in there since they're new and I came to support them). The curry was smooth and not too overpowering. The pork belly stayed crispy while the cucumber was a nice bite to cleanse my palate. I enjoyed the whole meal. We also go to try the mango sticky rice dessert. I don't like coconut so I did not enjoy the rice part but the others who do like it, did. Overall, this is a great addition to the City Heights area and I can't wait to go again!

Amazing curry!! We loved the khao soi - best we’ve tried in San Diego. Great vegetarian options - all the curries are coconut based, so no dairy. Crispy tofu is my favorite protein option! I love that you get to try all 5 sauces before ordering. Only downside is the disposable containers and utensils, even for here, but it seems like most people take their food to go. Parking in front

This place is amazing! Thai food is my all time favorite food, & this place is one of the best! The fact that you can try the curry before purchasing is genius. Some people may be afraid to dive into thai food, thinking it’s just known for being spicy, but this is just full flavored food, with a nice mild spice. I recommend all the curries, but the Khao Soi was my favorite! The atmosphere is great as well. It has a nice island feel to it. Best part was the staff. Super friendly, & hospitable. Definitely coming back a lot!

The curry was phenomenal, the owner gave us samples of all the curry options and there was not one that I did not enjoy. I ended up going with the Panang, the owner is very knowledgeable of what proteins and sides pair well with my curry option. Along with the food I got thai tea, a perfect drink to pair with the entree. Definitely recommend! And definitely will come back for more!
