Edited review. Today is 9/17/2024 He is back and in full effect but closes earlier than listed bc of demand. CLOSED FOR 4 DAYS STRAIGHT (maybe more) but the sign on the door says will open tomorrow. Poor advertising?? Hope all is well with cook, BEST LUMPIA in SD but I've been here every day at opening just waiting, which wastes my gas and time.

No nonsense kind of place that puts out some fantastic Filipino dishes. I particularly liked the lumpia and so did most of the folks I bought the food for. Overall I was extremely happy with the food. Cost was very reasonable as well.

Take-out only Filipino place selling top notch beef lumpia (crispy egg rolls) at a very reasonable price. The lumpias are fried thoroughly so they are crunchy and crispy. People say they are crunchy even when they are cold. But you really should air fry them to do them justice. They also have 5 other home style dishes you can get. Cash only. Some items might be sold out early.

Very good but get there early so you won’t miss out on the pancit everything is homemade if that makes sense. Made fresh and cash only! Yes I strongly recommend to anyone who loves good food.

As a loyal Family Dollar customer, I would often wonder about this bright yellow neighboring restaurant that I found myself frequently parking in front of. It wasn’t until yesterday that I noticed a small line inside the establishment — I finally told myself, today is the day I’m going in there and finding out what this place is all about. I soon realized, this owner-operated establishment serves two purposes, convenience store and restaurant. Today my friends, I will tell you about the delicious Filipino cuisine I found myself wholeheartedly enjoying. But first, it is important to mention that this place is CASH ONLY! Menu: A good selection of popular Filipino foods (QTY 6) and side options (QTY 3) that offers a la carte and combo options. You can also order 3 different tray sizes for catering. What I ordered: Combo 2 with 2 side - Main dish #1: Chichen adobo - Main dish #2: Beef lumpia - Side #1: Fried rice - Side #2: Pancit Cost: $9.50. With tax it came to $9.99. Review: Delicious. 10 outta 10 will order again. The star of the show: BEEF LUMPIA. It came with a side of sweet & sour sauce. It is to my understanding, the Lumpia’s are what they are known for. You can order the Lumpia’s fresh, or frozen! What I would like to try next: Pork bicol express If you are like me and you are open to trying out a variety of cuisines and enjoy supporting local business, definitely give this place a try 😊

Wooow! Just finished my food and I am amazed! Best Lumpia in San Diego! Guy that works there is great! He is happy to help with anything you need. Pork menudo it's like mom would make if my mom was Filipino. Just amazing! My new favorite!

This may be the best place to get lumpia in San Diego! I volunteered to order a tray of these for a Friendsgiving party and it was a hit! They close very early, but waited for me to get there since I called ahead and said that I was on my way. I also got to try their pancit, which was great too. The lumpia was the winner here though. It was crunchy and very flavorful! I will definitely be back to order more for my next gathering!

This is simply THE best place to pick up lumpia for a social gathering. They are basically the size of rolled tacos, packed with meat, little to no filler. The flavor is memorable and addictive. No matter how many you buy, you will probably run out.

Lumpia was very tasty. Will be going back whenever I crave lumpia ! Great prices. Ordered 100 pcs at 75$ for a work event and everyone asked me where I got it from! It is hard to reach them through phone, so I would recommend going a day or two in advance to place a big order.

Disappointed with the lumpia, they were half filled. Food was delicious but the lumpia were a disappointment. After all the place has lumpia on its name you would expect better. Hope they improve the making of them.

We were wondering if we were at the right place at first. This place serves authentic Filipino food. The only thing is that they only accept cash. Not a lot of people come here and eat. People just come here and order to go. Employees are nice.

If you've been to Manila Sunset for example, the quality there was very different and I wasn't worried about eating unnecessary fats which is definitely a concern here.

Placed a catering order for pickup. They weren’t ready when I arrived , said I would have to wait another 15 min. I drove 20 min and called ahead of time to confirm my order would be ready, but nobody answered. Guy at the register said sorry were busy, but there wasn’t a single person in the restaurant. Waste of my time.
