I stumbled upon Cafe Sebastian quite by accident and was delightfully surprised. The food was exquisite; the wild mushroom tartine was one of the best brunch dishes I’ve had. Bursting with flavour, buttery indulgence but not too rich, and generous in its portion of wild mushrooms and high quality sourdough. The egg comes very soft, so be sure to ask if like me you prefer a medium poached egg. The decor is understated but elevated and the service is excellent. I highly recommend!

Great lunch. The menu, the place, and the service. All great. I like how the place feels, and everything I ordered all the way through to the dessert and espresso was delicious!

Tucked away in San Francisco, Café Sebastian delivers big on flavor and charm. I stopped in for a quick lunch and was blown away by the quality of the food and the welcoming vibe. I ordered the French dip sandwich, and it might be one of the best I've had—tender, flavorful beef piled high on a perfectly toasted roll. As a side, I went with something a little different: the smoked fish. It was a pleasant surprise—lightly smoky, delicately seasoned, and clearly fresh. A perfect contrast to the warm, hearty sandwich. Service was friendly and efficient, and the cozy ambiance made it a great spot to relax mid-day. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

We found a brand new restaurant that will definitely be our top choice in the neighborhood. - The food is delicious, and the presentation is great - They offer a rotating menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and they are open on Sundays! - It's quite affordable for San Francisco, especially considering the quality of the food. - The location is near a beautiful park that features live music (check the schedule) and art installations

Beautiful spot for breakfast with a lovely patio at the base of the Transamerica Building. Service was nice and the food was excellent. Ordered the coffee, eggs, and the pancakes, which were delicious and unique, if a little on the small side for portions for the price. As a bonus, even the washroom has a bold and nifty aesthetic!

Was walking by and saw the place… stopped for a breakfast and to my surprise, food was really good, fresh ingredients, great service and awesome food presentation! A place that I would come back regularly ~

The iconic TransAmerica Tower The SHVO building has new restaurant that has a entre menu pallet rivaling any Michelin star restaurant to boot a Top Chef! Well I had the chicken, The broccoli soup and the dates! The chicken was tender and moist, not dry and not pink but perfect and topped with a sesame seed medley! The tasty cheese within the broccoli soup was subtle and not over powering and flavorful ! The dates were delicious and went down smoothly topped with a satisfying Manhattan. What was more satisfying is that it’s an excellent 5 star lunch that was easy on the pocket book. I think even Anthony Bourdain God bless his soul would approve of this wonderful new establishment in the Jackson Square district FIDI districts. I’ll try the deviled eggs next time ! Thank you chef Bradly Kilgore

Great place to catch up with a co-worker or come for a breakfast date. The food was good and the service was speedy but warm. The decor was very chic. The eggs scramble, sourdough toast with tomatoes and latte were all tasty. Definitely checkout the park and museum afterward!

Love this location. It's not inside Transamerica, you can enter from the park next to Transamerica or from Samson Street. Btw, I fact check for you, the cafe inside Transamerica is not part of cafe Sebastian, some influencer gave us wrong info. Seat yourself. And order from the QR code on each table. Food is delicious. Service is friendly. Order a shave ice, it's super fun. The shave ice master is amazing. Love love love this magical cafe.

Went on a Saturday because I love their chicken Caesar wrap but unfortunately it wasn’t on their brunch menu. I asked the staff and they made it for me anyway - so nice!!

The place is beautiful, the setting exquisite, adjacent to the Transamerica Redwood Park, and the food delicious. The interior is well-appointed, but the tables outside were perfectly situated, with the view of the tall redwood trees and the rare Marx Ernst sculptures on view. The Panzanella Salad, with Trout, delivered all the tastes of summer—a perfect meal on a balmy September afternoon. The deviled eggs were perfect, and the service solicitous—a definite go-to for the Jackson Square neighborhood.

They have it all. I’ve had the pleasure of eating here several times now. The overall vibe is very nice…bright, airy and open for a breakfast or lunch spot. Nicely designed and an expansive, open kitchen right there to see. I’ve had both breakfast and for lunch. On both the breakfast and lunch tip, the menu is very well rounded…you can pick from light to decadent, classic to innovative. Baked options and coffee’s are top notch. There’s an exceptional level of execution with each item I’ve tried…like you can taste the quality, fresh ingredients that go into everything and how everything has been developed and executed with intention. How even the richer, more decadent dishes aren’t heavy. Of the items I have been able to try so far…the BLT was a stand out. The sauce that came with it was great too. The sauces that accompany everything i’ve had really put things over the top. I also had the biscuits and gravy which is a great take on that dish and super flavorful. All around this is a great and much needed addition to the landscape…looking forward to seeing it become a local mainstay!

Hard to resist social media food sensation. We decided to try this neighborhood cafe out in a we-thought-of-a-less-busier day lol but it turned out the indoor space was packed. Decent food/nice outdoor seating.

Space is stunning, but food was a miss. On the menu sounded great, but execution was off on smoked salmon toast, quinoa salad, lemon pasta, soup, and sirloin sandwich. Juice was also awful texture and flavor.

Had a 1:30 reservation on Tuesday, and found that they were out of a several items on the menu. The food was good, creative, but my dish was my third choice, so not really something I was excited about.

Nice interior, food was decent, too expensive. Upcharged for two sides, asked if it was included and got no response/no prices stated, which added $10 to the bill, plus 8% mandatory service charge, not part of the tip. $70 simple lunch for two is way too pricey, I won’t go back.

It was bloody awful. Went here for lunch yesterday. The waiter couldn’t give a damn. Neither could the food. The Nico use turned up without a lick of frisée - so basically mustardy potatoes and two very small squares of tuna with some kind of brown sauce in the middle of the plate. Two glasses of perfectly ordinary Albariño. We asked for bread. We got a slice… of bread…on a plate. Between two the bill was $86 each - no coffee, no dessert, no nothing. They could not give a toss. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe it was just one of those things. But I wouldn’t do this again.

Pretty bad experience at Café Sebastian. The waiter was rude and seemed annoyed the entire time. The deviled eggs came as a tiny portion, barely an appetizer. The croissant sandwich sounded creative but ended up tasting off and poorly made. Asked for a cappuccino, and no sugar was even offered. Not worth it.

Place is really nice, staff is very friendly. Dishes are not that great. The recipes look quite interesting but the execution had some big mistakes. For example my roasted zucchini came practically raw. The place is very expensive for what they offer and they cut corners here and there. For example, I ordered a the roasted zucchini dish, it did not come with any bread. I order an orange juice, it was from the can, not freshly squeezed. For those prices, they pay more attention to those details.
