This ladies and gentlemen, is probably the best ihop ive ever been to. I ordered for pick up and the food was made right on time so it was still hot. Never had a burger from ihop before and lets just say if they had a drive-thru, they'd spank the competition!

This is a small IHOP, but it is very cozy and the staff are very attentive. Since I went on a weekday afternoon it was very quite. The food was just as good as any IHOP and was well cooked; the coffee was extra fresh!

Sometimes you just want to have a casual place to get a good meal at a reasonable price with solid service. Well this is the place. I recommend the happy hour specials for cost saving.

I got the sudden urge for IHOP on my way home from camping. So I googled the closest one and found one in San Rafael. Finding the place, I went in, sat down, and my order was taken right away. I love IHOP because the food tastes the same (delicious) at every one I go to. This location was no exception. Service was also great and I went away happy.

I had breakfast here New Year's Day with my daughter and to my surprise it didn't take us long to be seated we ordered a new swimming and varied array of Pancakes they came to our table hot and delicious and Ready-to-Eat we enjoyed ourselves greatly I recommend this for any family with small kids it's a great place to eat

Took my grandmother here for her first ihop experience at 96 years old! She really enjoyed herself and hopes to be back. My meal was perfect, the bacon was cooked just how I like it. Service was excellent and Pablo was on top of everything! Definitely among the nicer ihops and worth the visit if you are inclined. I got the new waffle combo and asked for the mousse on the side, I don't like too much sweetness, and it was perfectly taken care of. Thank you!

We come here weekly and we love it! The staff is great and Angelica is always amazing and cheerful! We're always taken care of and the food has never disappointed! This is an IHOP, you know what you are going to get. The food was good but the service was fantastic. The server was awesome and took care of us so well. The atmosphere was fun because we weren't the only big noisy family there and it really added to the vibe of the place.

Stopped in to get breakfast Even though it was busy we where seated right away laura took are drink orders and another waitress took are food order I tried the new biscuit and gravy special with eggs and bacon the food came nice and hot the biscuit was a little dry so I covered with gravy and sunny side up egg My wife and I would come back to this location

The guy that has served me every time I go is amazing. He never writes the order down and no matter how big your party is or how complicated your order is, he always gets it right. Food is delicious! One of the best IHOP locations in the bay area.

While this is a major food chain you still get a small town feeling in here as the actual restaurant is tucked away in a quieter place of Downtown San Rafael. Servers are polite and aim to please. German pancakes were fantastic!!

this place is throwback to an "I don't when" time period. the piped in music is straight out of a vegas casino cafe, (rat pack muzak). the food selections are classic american dishes, but the menu has pictures of them! the decor is "swiss mountain/minnesota". admittedly I have not tried the coffee and I am guessing it is an important item to know if it's good or not, sorry. Late night on weekends you see high school kids hanging out like they did on the TV show "Happy Days". But mostly I am glad to get a burger after 11p in MARIN! and it is good enough quality to beat Jack in Box/Taco Bell. just don't order the turkey melt.

When you need a pancake fix, love harvest grain. The syrups are still old school, bring your own maple syrup if you want the real stuff. Decent hash browns, good service.

It seems they have improved there menu and quantity of food for your money. Used to be that all the chain coffee shops like I hop and Denny's etc really scaled back on the value for your $. I had their Colorado omelet and i thought it was fantastic, which isn't something I would usually say about a coffee shop. Atmosphere wise, eh. Service, better than Denny's, but average.

I can understand why this place get's low reviews, really I can. But I'm here to buck tradition and give them a bit of a boost. The place is fine, it's dingy to put it at best but that's the allure of a good diner, no? The service we had was great - the server was attentive and accommodating to our different requests. It was around 5:30 so all of the senior citizens had long finished their dinner and we had the restaurant to ourselves nearly. They did start vacuuming while we were sitting in there, making us think they closed around 6/7 but fun fact they were open until 10pm so I guess they were just bored. Good news is they clean the place! The food was good, the carbs and sugar filled us up and made us feel super fat afterwards. Don't worry, I got a Diet Coke to balance things out. Turns out that doesn't make a dent in all the syrup I poured on top of my Cinnamon Roll Pancake. Give it a try for a lovely diner meal.

Good breakfast stop for a casual breakfast. Food tastes good and is brought to you relatively quickly but the quality of the ingredients could be a little higher. Overall you're getting what you pay for here and the servers are generally pretty friendly as well.

This is an older ihop building. I walked in and wasnt greeted immediately. I waited for about 4min before i was acknowledged and asked how many in my party. Which i think they should ask dine in, pick up or order togo or how can i help you. Ordered my food to go, and took 20 mins to complete it. But while I waited i could see the cook staff and the waiters. This one older lady waiter, scratched her head and picked up a plate for a table and never washed her hands before touching the plate. After leaving, i noticed the bag that held my food was sticky with some red liquid...glad it wasnt on my clothes otherwise they would be paying for a cleaner bill. Happy there was some young people working in there, but they could use more etiquette. My $ .02.

Nobody has expressed with over excitement other than children under the age of 13 that they're going to IHOP. It's I have exactly what you expect nothing special simple pancakes with simple breakfast. They have added some ornate dishes but they are over priced and not as good as homemade. go if you have a little one and they like green pancakes. But if you looking for a ribeye steak seek elsewhere.

I was very disappointed in this Ihop!!! It sucked!!! You figure that being in a upper scale area it would be at least decent, well it wasnt!!! I would suggest going to a salvation army soup kitchen the food will be better.

They thought bleaching the ice tray (which is in the middle of the diner) was a good thing to do in the middle of the day. With many customers seated, enjoying their food, the entire place began to smell like chlorine. This obviously lead to ruining everyone's appetite. First time in an IHOP in many years. This place reminded my why. $20 for an over-cooked, fake looking omelette, a freezer hash brown patty, and a cup of coffee. How is that "economical?" I mean, how can you ruin eggs? Far better choices for real food in either direction.

On Sunday, April 21, I took 13 guests to breakfast at IHOP San Rafael and when it was time to pay, I left the change with the waiter who was charging at that time. We had not yet left our table and the manager came to tell us that we are obliged to leave a tip. Because there were many of us and if we didn't leave a tip they would deduct the employees' salaries. It was a shame that that lady put us through as customers because she did it almost shouting and in front of all the customers who were in the restaurant at that time, we were customers. d all Sundays but really with that treatment we will never eat in that restaurant again. We have also been able to witness that manager speaking rudely to the poor employees, they should fire her because all the time it is seen that she is bad and at the same time the rates in The ones who served us coffee are supposed to be already washed and they brought me two cups painted with lipstick, how horrible

Turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese and a ice tea. Turkey was bland with a rubbery texture. Gravy was bland and really watery. Mashed potatoes were practically liquid with no flavor. Macaroni and cheese was decent, but the last two bites were icy cold. The ice tea was good. Everything is pre-made and they are just slopping it together on a plate and shoving it in a microwave. You are getting reheated leftovers. Food, drink, tax and tip was $25. A complete waste of money. The server acted as if he didn't want to even be there, wasn't busy he didn't check on me even once. A very forgettable meal. Strongly DO NOT recommend this business

Terrible service, the waitress seemed to have forgotten about us, she forgot the mashed potatoes. She only had 4 tables and it looked like she had 20. A man who looked like her friend was in bad shape and had a huge dog inside the restaurant that was not a service dog.

Seems like cooks can’t understand English keeps messing up the order even the new waiter keeps explaining what the 93 year old lady with me wanted. They should really do something about the lousy coffee.though the servers are friendly beautiful people. About the Resturant itself please change the seats the are really worn out and huge patches taped. What a shame I hope corporation at least have pride

To start out the place was practically empty Male server was rude walked away halfway through my drink order. Food was cold . Got the bill they had forgotten my burger to go order even though while still eating I reminded them..had to wait an extra 20min my burger thrown together and under cooked. For paying over $70 I would expect better.

Gave this place another try after a good year of not going. In general food is still gross and not even made in kitchen. Ordered crepes and received rubber-like flops. You can see it’s frozen food and not cooked right, didn’t pay for it so thats great. But never going there again.

These people don’t allow service dogs, dog size of a small cat in a backpack sitting quite like a mouse made them freak out. Crazy people.

She said no, that's not for you. I said so your menu says one thing and you're telling me another. You want me to pay and get less than what the meal comes with. She says yes. I said I'm out of here and I'm contacting your corporate office. She said go ahead. I don't care. So, if you're in San Rafael, and you want some food, avoid IHOP!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY MONEY AGAIN. I'M GOING TO WARN EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID ALL IHOP RESTAURANTS.

To start out the place was practically empty Male server was rude walked away halfway through my drink order. Food was cold . Got the bill they had forgotten my burger to go order even though while still eating I reminded them..had to wait an extra 20min my burger thrown together and under cooked. For paying over $70 I would expect better.

Gave this place another try after a good year of not going. In general food is still gross and not even made in kitchen. Ordered crepes and received rubber-like flops. You can see it’s frozen food and not cooked right, didn’t pay for it so thats great. But never going there again.

I came here 11:30 pm they didn't bring me inside. I already walked 40 minutes. If you dont accept people 11:30 don't write on the door 12 am

These people don’t allow service dogs, dog size of a small cat in a backpack sitting quite like a mouse made them freak out. Crazy people.
