Preguntas frecuentes sobre Veggie Grill
Opiniones de Veggie Grill Santa Monica
Everything on the menu is vegan, so no worries on what to order if that's a restriction of yours. Staff was incredibly friendly and didn't mind answering any questions, even if it wasn't about food but instead about who visits the restaurant! Food is delicious, that street corn was the best I've had!
This is my favorite veggie grill. They actually show you the GF modification menu so you can see what items can be made to accommodate your diet. They are always friendly and patient. Only complaint is that sometimes they let the food sit a bit before bringing it to you. Everything is always enjoyable the brussel sprouts were more burnt than delicious though. Mac and cheese was great and creamy, with a little warmth. It was nice it wasn't too sticky like most alternative cheeses when they get all over your teeth.
We were hungry so it was hard to not order half their menu. We got the truffle Mac n cheese, all hale kale, crispy Baja burrito, Caesar crunch wrap, and the chocolate cake. Everything was tasty. The all hale kale salad really surprised me, the flavors and the vinaigrette were delicious. Good helping of the Mac n cheese. Caesar crunch wrap was also on point. I wished the Baja burrito had more fish in it as the amount of rice was overwhelming the burrito. I would have also liked to have seen a larger piece of the chocolate cake for the cost. But otherwise the cake was delicious, craving some right now as I write this. We will be ordering again!
With hundreds of grocery retail and brick and mortar food options being marked to the consumer as "plant powered" or "plant based" when they actually have dairy and other animal products in the food, (notated in tiny print) we have Veggie Grill as operating as a brick and mortar that is 100% plant based. They are the real McCoy, a casual value packed delicious menu that is 100% plant based. Clean, well run, and smart out of the gate to read the marketplace and see their was a demand for a casual quick service animal-free menu. That the future is now and that is not eating animals, not consuming animal products. The socioeconomics, your health, your carbon footprint are dramatically changed for the better when you completely stop eating animals and animal products. I firmly believe we will always have warfare and violence in the world as long as people are killing and eating animals or taking milk from cows meant for their calves. As long as we continue to use animals for testing of any kind. So a BIG THANK YOU Veggie Grill for creating a place where at bare minimum, you are introducing folks to the concept of eating food without animals on the menu. We loved your menu up in Seattle and we love it here down in LA. While we prep and cook most of our own meals, you are a great place to visit from time to time. Highly recommend this Santa Monica location. Amazing staff and a great path for anyone wanting to enjoy a delicious burger, salad or etc...without looking at a plate or box of animal torture. Eat LOVE not FEAR at Veggie Grill and your body will thank you.
I first discovered Veggie Grill over twelve years ago while living in Seattle, and I was thrilled when I realized there was a location closer to me here in Santa Monica. 🌱 It’s been my go-to plant-based chain ever since, and I’m still blown away by how they continue to create fresh, flavorful, and innovative menu items year after year. What I love most is the balance they strike — wholesome, feel-good food that’s quick, accessible, and consistently delicious. Whether it’s their classic comfort staples or their newer seasonal creations, I always leave satisfied. Whenever I’m traveling, I make it a point to find the nearest Veggie Grill for a quick fix. It’s comforting to know there’s always a location ready to deliver that same plant-based goodness I’ve come to count on. If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for healthier options without sacrificing taste, Veggie Grill is the spot.
Very good place if you are vegan or just trying something new consistent every time with the food and service. They even remember my customized orders
I always had a good experience at veggie grill. Ordering online or dining in. Service is always great and food is always delicious. As an avid vegan who tries different foods constantly, I’d define veggie grill as a sort of “healthy fast food” among the many options available in LA. Prices are decent and I love how all details about meal are included on the menu, including the amount of calorie for each dish. A must try for vegans and non vegans :) My favorites: lentil soup, Far East Thai bowl - replaced with tempeh, nachos, quesadilla. Thank you veggie grill!
I ordered the Spicy Louisiana Chicken Sandwhich and while I would have preferred a little crisp it still did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly lol maybe too friendly but I rather that then not at all . There was a little line but it moved at a good paste . I would highly recommend this place if you’re vegan . I wish I could have tried more , including the breakfast but my eyes tend to be bigger than my stomach . I wish we had one here in the Burgh .
Basically fast food for vegans. They have all kinds of burgers and mock chicken sandwiches that are super good. Also salads and some other stuff if you want to eat a little bit healthier. We went for some straight up fried goodness and it did not disappoint. The best part is even a fried chick'n sandwich didn't bog us down as bad as the real thing.
So so awesome to see an ALL VEGAN FAST FOOD CHAIN YAS! I ordered the kale Caesar and the Mac n cheese. Salad was really yummy, but the Mac did taste like daiya, which isn’t my fave, but it was still okay! I would def come back if I lived in LA. Please make VG a national chain...
Good food just pricey and service is whatever. Had to order my food on the screen even though there was no one in line and the place was practically empty besides one couple. Then had to go back in to get napkins because they didn't put any in the bag. As I was sitting there waiting for my order someone walked in and of course they took his order. I guess they are selective on who they give customer service to? You lost a tip people. The portions of the onion rings were super tiny for $6+ I think there might have been a total of 6 onion rings in the tiny bag. I paid like $25+ for a burger and onions rings. No drink included. Might want to give a little more food for the price, especially since a lot of people would rather spend it on food from the grocery store these days. I live in an area where there are no Veggie Grills so I have to drive awhile to get here.
Honestly, if it weren't for the good reward program, I doubt that I would eat here any more. Food prep is slow. There is one particular emplyee who always has terrible trouble at the register inputting my order and I have to wait and wait until the manager can come out and take care of it in two seconds. The food is mediocre. I used to enjoy the carrot cake, but clearly the recipe has been changed. It is actually salty and the texture of the cake is gummy. Why do I bother? So few vegan places left, sadly, and I don't care to cook! Yesterday I ordered the buffalo chicken salad with plain, grilled tempeh instead of the buffalo chicken. I was served buffalo tempeh. I do not care for buffalo sauce. There are no good, clean, healthy side dishes any longer. Fried, fried, fried. I can't resist the savings that the rewards program provides, so, believe it or not, I'll be back. In the rating choices, I'm asked to describe noise level. I checked loud, and that is because of their lousy music. Loud.
The pictures on the DoorDash looked really good so I decided to try them. I got a whole wheat bun veggie burger — the bun didn’t taste as fresh as expected, the flavor of the burger was okay. It was not bad but not exactly flavorful either. The sweet potato fries were fine, nothing too special. The portion size was good though. Probably Wouldn’t DoorDash them again as I feel like there are better tasting fast food restaurants out there. But grateful for the experience!
Every time I come here the workers are super lackadaisical. Waited over 20 minutes for them to make 2 smoothies when it wasn’t busy at all. Service is horrible but the food is good when it finally comes
I don't know if the universe just doesn't want me to have Veggie Grill but everytime I order, in person, for pick up or delivery- it doesn't matter, something is always missing or wrong. Like the attention to detail isn't there. And it's severely lacking flavor. At the beginning of this year I ordered delivery for one chzburger and fries no tomato and no pickle, a second chz burger no tamoto no pickle no sauce and a kids meal. All the burgers had tomato plus pickle and none had the special sauce plus the drink from the kids meal was missing. I called, the offered a replacement entree upon my next visit. I went a few weeks later -in person, same order and they still messed up the burgers. I tried again a month later this time ordering a double burger adding pepper jack (a 5.50 extra charge) for pick up. The order came out single patty no cheese at all. I called again. When I went back the next time for my order, I used points that alloted me a free cake dessert with the meal, the cake was not in the bag. I called again, the next time I ordered in person with a manager - the burgers still came out wrong with tomato and pickles, and I opted to try a new entree which was the texmex bowl. The fries were missing, no chz on the burgers and the texmex bowl had no mango or protein.... after some time my sister decided to order for delivery - again one burger no tomato or pickle, the second no tomato pickle or sauce. Both burgers had no sauce and no flavor. All you could taste was char and the outer skin of the onion - otherwise the food had no flavor. We tried the new taco salad and that too lacked flavor which is odd since it comes with flavorful toppings like corn, pico
I have popped in here a couple of times, and the staff has always been rude with an attitude like they don't want to be here or answer the customers' questions. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes. The food was good, though. I got the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwhich. There are other items on the menu that I want to try but I would def go to another location for them.
