I learned my Great Grandmother's family started this business and eventually they sold it. I stopped in ordered several slices of pizzas and pies and snap a few photos. The pizza here is delicious!! The staff are friendly and helpful. We dined in eating a slice there and relaxing. It is a very busy place and a couple of table on the take out side. Will return before I head back home.

Best pizza in the area! Dough is crispy and delicious, the cheese isn't greasy. The 12 cut pizza, 20 boneless wings and the 2 liter soda for $28.99 is a great deal for the quality of food you will be receiving. I will continue to order for my family!

We stopped here for dinner on a long drive, and they let us have the table even though they were technically only open for takeout. The service and the food were great.

Went there for breakfast & frequently order pizza. The pizza is square, which is something I'm unaccustomed to. Delivery is relatively fast. Sometimes, the pieces aren't uniform in size & toppings. Breakfast staff is usually friendly & food is good. EXTREMELY POPULAR DURING SCHAGHTICOKE FAIR. Service will be slower & there will be a wait for a table, so don't judge them too harshly during this time. Locally owned & operated, & supports several youth activities (sports programs)

Breakfast was enjoyable. Good portions. Tasty (i.e. home fries). Pleasant staff. Will be returning. Used to be a regular stop for dad and us kids back in the 70s/80s. This business is a contribution to the community.

I come here once sometimes twice a month. The staff is friendly, respectful and attentive. The food is standard diner fare, but done well. I've been to diners where the eggs falls flat, nothing is seasoned and the vegetables are wilted (looking at you, Alexis Diner in East Greenbush).

Pizza delivery in Schaghticoke area, including Valley Falls & Johnsonville. Haven't been to their restaurant in several tears. Served nice breakfast & lunch with mom & pop feel. Table service or counter. Tasty with economical price & good service.

Owners a great guy . Unfortunately he's being held hostage by an inexperienced. Highly subpar staff . Especially service and quality of food are obviously being produced by amateurs.

Excellent service. Ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches to go and coffee. Poured coffee in togo cup so I could fix it while order was made. When order was ready was in bag with condiments and napkins. Almost as fast as McDonalds. Sandwiches delicious.

This pit stop is right next to the fair grounds. The restaurant was clean which is a plus. I got an Italian mix sub with a side of garlic knots. The knots were crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. my buddy had a cheese stake sub. They had fast and friendly service. They serve breakfast and dinner to. Come on in and give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Being new to the area I was really happy to learn a local establishment was able and willing to help cater the breakfast items that were needed for a recent occasion hosted at our home. We typically arrive EARLY when our favorite gal is working but today we arrived late......let me just say, these young girls need to learn how to wait on customers. No coffee refills, no check ins at all period, I watched a table of 2 try to flag one of them down just to take their orders. Also I have a very basic order that has never been wrong ever - today, it came smothered in cheese. 🤮 They need to work the early shift and learn from the best!!

First time coming in and I don’t live far food was amazing. Our waitress was on point she was awesome definitely will be back in we made her laugh. She made us laugh. Got the calzone and chicken wings and our guests got chicken wings and a cheese burger sub and fries and we got to go pizza and more chicken wings.

(Updating my review and the Sheep & Goat barn at the Schaghticoke Fair still orders food from here.) I kept my original review below- Love the large variety of pizza styles to choose from. Not just one crust. Don't let the name fool you. All the pizzas and hot subs I've ordered from here over the years have been great. It's worth a ride for their food. The parking is easy too! When the Fair is going on our barn always orders from here. We've never been disappointed! Wings are good too.

It is a diner and a pizzaria rolled into one...... diner area on the left and pizzaria section on the right. I've had a fabulous breakfast there and a delicious meatball parmesan sadwich from the pizzaria. The diner closes at 2pm and not sure if the pizzaria uses those tables for dinners once the diner is closed. I mention that because the pizza side only has 2 or 3 tables. Otherwise no issues!

A cute little restaurant. We have driven past it many times and finally stopped there to eat. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions. The omelets a tasty with ample fillings. The home fries were cooked to protection with great cinnamon toast. We'll be eating here again really soon. 😁😁😁

Breakfast is great. I order takeout and its ready in 15-20 minutes. Pizza is ok, but there arent really a lot of options in the area to compete but it can take a while for the orders.

Nice place with tasty food. Not positive they can add efficiently however as our bill was much more expensive than I think it should have been.

I was pleastly surprised, The service was great , We had a couple of sandwiches, that were very good , The best was the fries and onion rings were HOT . Will return thank you for a great lunch!

The other unfortunate part was when I got home I realized my chicken bacon ranch pizza was actually a bacon ranch pizza. However things happen it’s a Saturday they seemed busy

Luv the fries, and homefries. Prices are very fair. Waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating. (Only knock is the Mens bathroom. Could be cleaner) Note: The diner closes at 2pm. The hours shown on google, & their website, is deceiving.

The staff members that work here are excellent, they’re polite and accommodating. If we ever had an issue, it was resolved quickly and professionally. Things happen, especially on a real busy night and it is also rare to have any mistakes. The breakfast is excellent, has good sized portions and really good breakfast sandwiches. Those are my favorite. The subs are really good and they do not skimp on the filling. The pizza is good, even when I request the pizza to be cooked a little longer due to the extra ingredients, it is never burnt. Prices are very good for what you get in portions , taste and staff excellence. In closing, this is a really good local restaurant with a small town atmosphere.

Well, we were going to try to have dinner originally out in saratoga, only to find out it was packed. So after seeing a few suggestions and reviews we went here... For starters..the dine in area was completely empty. No one. We thought "great " because we had a baby with us who was being a little fussy after being in a car seat for almost 3 hours, we got inside and the girl was almost surprised we wanted to dine in, so she Sat us down and we ordered. As soon as we ordered there was a huge argument in the kitchen. Swearing and I'm pretty sure someone quit right then and there or was fired, I don't know. It was kinda crazy. So out waitress came out and informed us our food would be out faster than she thought... So we ordered 2 pizzas..cheese and pepperoni and the other was mushroom and garlic.. The cheese was maybe American? Unlike any pizza I had..kinda gross...and we don't know what else was on there.but it tasted and looked like mayo.and somehow the n pepperoni didn't have any taste..? The mushroom and garlic flavor was also really good, too bad the cheese and mayo sauce ruined it. The only thing that was good about the pizza was the pizza crust and dough was on point. Very good crust. The mozzarella sticks were over cooked and undercooked all at the same time..if you know what I mean, if not imagine over cooked outside and semi warm cheese with no melt or string..they gave us the raspberry sauce to dip in, which probably saved the whole meal. My boyfriend also ordered chicken wings, they were okay. Not bad. But not that great. Waitress was very polite and she was really nice. Anyways, would I go back? Probably not.

Your food is good but when I work a long day and i order food because I'm tired, i don't want to pay for food that you are going to forget to even make, example 1: I ordered 20 mozzarella sticks along with a 24 cut special and I only receive my 24 cut special and 6 yes 6 mozzarella sticks Example 2: I ordered a 12 cut special and a Miller mac calzone I recieved my 12 cut special but not my calzone. Both times I called and told them they forgot food they offered to bring me my food but no other compensation. I'm not trying to be a Karen but come on its common sense to read the order before you load it in to the car to deliver it

Been there for take out twice in last 2 months not 1 employee was wearing a mask only the customers were. Tavern pizza is out of this world and absolutely delicious.

6 of us ate. Only person that didn't complain was the salad eater.Garlic parmesan wings were ok but WAY too much grease. The curly was overcooked fried chicken and I paid extra for a hotter sauce which i didn't get. Cheeseburger grinder was chopped up ground beef that they use on pizza. Not patties. Waitress tried remembering our order without writing it down,she had to come back to ask questions 3 times.

My husband ordered a calzone for delivery last night and they charged him for extra cheese and there was hardly any, the ends were just 2" of dough, the sauce was super watery wouldn't even stick to the calzone. And they charged him $5.25 for delivery and didn't even tell him they charged for a delivery. Very sad cuz they really do have good food. First time we have ordered anything in a while tho.

Got a kid with olive allergy, told them and they still picked out the already made salads because how lazy these kids are.... I stopped ordering here awhile back and tried to give it another shot and nope! Trust me just go to anywhere else..... Trying to upload pic they forgot a piece of olive and juice all over thank god I opened it and not my son...

I got a chicken parm sandwich here and it didn't have enough sauce on it . They used chunky tomatoes for the sauce very poor quality for the price.

Poor customer service when I stopped in to grab lunch here the other day. After getting my pizza I inquired to where the restroom was. I was very rudely informed that if I wanted to use the restroom I had to go outside and find the owner and ask him. What!? A restaurant with no restroom? I am aware there was an event going on at the near by fairgrounds, however I was a paying customer and not just stopping in for restroom use. The pizza was just okay. But the attitude ruined the place for me.

Very average diner food. Very blah pizza. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. This pains me to write because I live in Schaghticoke and can walk there from my house. After my last experience, I will drive to Mechanicville (Ugly Rooster anybody?!) before going to this place again. My daughters and I walked down for some breakfast while mommy was away for a weekend. We got seated and then proceeded to sit for at least 10 minutes with no wait staff even taking our drink order. The place wasn't even that busy. Suffice it to say, we walked out and never have been back. When we were leaving nobody even noticed or cared. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Service is very slow & your lucky to get what you ordered right the 1st time. Prepare to pick up your order for they hardly ever have a delivery driver. Food is never consistent. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Only had two waitresses the one is amazing but the other one is a rude disrespectful. The environment was not friendly and or welcoming. The hash browns where more burnt than cooked and was basically small scrapes.

I ordered from here at least 2-3 times a week for convenient reasons..An the past few times pizza has bubbles in it..wings are not the way I want..called an spoke to someone an no costumer service..then tonight I ordered a bake ziti dinner sausage an knots..well the ziti was a regular ziti dinner (not baked)..sausage was very tuff..An my garlic knots had hardly any garlic!!! Very disappointed in my dinner..An I’ve yet to get my call back!!

I had a western omlet and home fries. The potatoes were noticeably old and cold. They replaced them with more old potatoes that were hot.... I ate 3 bites of the omlet when I found an old, rubbery piece of ham! That was enough for me! The waitress asked if she could take it away; but, never offered a refund. My father offered me a piece of his sausage which was clearly over processed chicken sausage! He couldn’t even eat it and he is generally not picky! The dogs got a treat when we got home....

My wife and I stopped in for breakfast around 10:30 AM. The restaurant was busy. When we went to sit down at a 4 top table the young lady working was very unwelcoming and insisted we squeeze in at a 2 top in the front of the restaurant. I am 6' 2" tall and weigh 230lbs. I would not have been comfortable squeezing I to this small 2 top. Her reasoning was that she was by herself and wanted us to sit in the front of the restaurant. The table we wanted was litterly 5 steps from a table that had 4 people at it. Unfortunately we chose to just leave and drive to Brunswick for breakfast. It is a shame we couldn't support one of our local businesses. We get food here often. I guess it will have to be to go from now on. Sorry Richie but this young lady was rude.

We wnt in on a SindY Dining area was closed So we ate in their Vestibule at the small tables, Poppers were Good; Sandwiches were terrible No sauce on the Steak and cheese the steak was burnt ,and the portion looked like a Kids Portion, they tasted like Steak umms, Frozen,& Boxed Was very disappointed! We Will not be Back! The Price with a tip $55.00; REALLY?? Stewart's has a better Sub!" Ridiculous ! FOOD LIKE THIS WITH these prices you won't be open long

Yeah, Tuesday special my ass. I just got charged $61.44 for two pizzas and 1 order of mozzarella sticks, when I asked for two. And yes, both pizzas were the same price as the promo says! Absolutely ridiculous because the last 3 orders we’ve placed there, they haven’t gotten our order right or they’ve left something out. Quit stealing peoples money! Last time I called to let them know they left something out, before I could ask for what I actually ordered, the girl goes “what do you want me to do about it”. RUDE! We won’t be back and we’re locals. Do yourself a favor and go across the bridge to Dom’s or Bucciero’s. I guess that’s what you get when you have a bunch of 17 year olds working there. Should’ve known.
