Came here for the first time and loved spending time with my friends and business partners! Staff was amazing and so friendly
We loved the drinks here! Ordered a latte and strawberry matcha which were both very tasty!
Merit is our favorite coffee spot! All of the locations in town are great, and their coffee is even better. I swear they make the best cappuccino out there. Love supporting this San Antonio based roaster!
Omg fabulous locally own coffee shop. ADA wheelchair accessible, plenty of parking and very clean.. the staff was very friendly. The coffee and tea was delicious. BUT the blueberry toasted pastry (pop tart) was amazing... I would go back there just for that...my hubby got the cereal coffee which he was amused by. Was a great choice for a rainy 🌧 day.
Merit coffee is turning into one of my favorite go-to for coffee and tea. I tried the london fog with oat milk, and it was honestly one of the best I have ever had. My spouse had a macchiato and it was bold and delicious. Staff are very friendly and pay attention to you. All in all, if you like coffee and tea, I recommend stopping by.
Local was great. Gal at the counter was super helpful. Their espresso was decent. The real test comes now that I have my beans. I'm gonna grind some, brew some, drink some and I'll update y'all when I've had a chance to give it a real thorough taste test. UPDATE: So, still give them a 5 star review. I have loved the La Falda. The Penaherrera was a little "Peppery". It had bite at the end over every sip. I couldn't seem to dial in the grind to get that to change. I tried a courser grind, a finer grind, and my usual "medium grind" stepping each one in. It always had the bite. But the La Falda is smoother and a better flavor. I liked them both, but I think I'll still with my Daily Rise :)
Delicious Lattes, Fast Service, Gluten-Free Options This location is almost always full with people working on laptops and/or having some kind of professional meeting; so I generally grab and go; but there was a seat available, so I took it. :) The macaroons are gluten-free, as are 1 or 2 pastry selections daily; I knocked off one star for food, because sometimes they’re out :/ But overall the baristas do an excellent job getting drinks out, considering the volume of people coming through this location (it’s right by the freeway entrance). I wish it were cozier, the decor is a bit sparse… but the drinks are creative and delicious.
I love this place so much, I really do. The coffee is absolutely phenomenal. But… More often than not, I come in around 9 am and yall are already sold out of tacos:( I know they’re outsourced, so just order more please. I am obsessed with potato egg and cheese tacos, please order more. I cannot tell you how many times I have come in before 9:30 in the morning and tacos are already gone:( don’t worry you still have my business I come all the time (this is a photo of my table without a taco on it)
We were heading to an appointment in the area, and we were early. Chill atmosphere. Parking gets packed. My lavender latte was good. They have "hot pockets" and outsourced breakfast tacos. I got a ham and cheese pocket. I liked it. Those tacos were pretty good, too. They ran out, and we happened to get the last one! Chorizo and egg. My hubby got a sugar-free vanilla latte, which we both liked, with almond milk. He also got a sweater from their apparel items. It was good fabric and super plush.
I'm a huge Merit fan, but this is probably my least favorite location. The parking lot was awkward. I wasn't a fan of how the seating was done. The shape of this Merit is odd. But there's lots of inside and outside seating. No trash can by the front door, which was strange. The cashier and barista were kind. They were out of oat milk. I wasn't a fan of the shaken maple pecan drink, but it wasn't terrible.
This seems like a nice spot for studying and getting work done if you need a place to relax and have a coffee. However the staff didn’t look clean nor were they welcoming, too busy chatting about personal conversations. There were plenty of dirty tables inside and outside that could have been quickly wiped down instead of chit chatting ( they chatted for a while ) many customers walked in and had to clean up their own tables….
Visited this business for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. There's available seating on the patio and inside which is bigger than it looks from the outside. The floors were clean. There were lots of people there which tended to be on the younger side. There were various food and coffee products for sale. There is a large menu selection of coffee products and drinks. We ordered two decaf americanos for a total price of just under $9. This employee was very friendly and pleasant. They brought our two drinks to us in cups and saucers rather than the take out containers that we had ordered which was fine. The two of us are on the older side and certainly have drank our share of decaf americanos. Both of our drinks were very bitter to the taste which surprised us. My companion went to the counter and talked to our original employee who was very pleasant and willing to change our drinks. About this time another employee probably a manager came over and cut into our conversation. She was very kurt and short and you could tell that she was not at all happy about our displeasure of our original coffee order. We changed our order to the House Blend which to be honest and truthful still had a bitter and heavy roasted taste. We won't be going back as our experience wasn't good. Your mileage of course may vary.
Merit Coffee has officially LOST MY BUSINESS! RUN before they take your money because they repeatedly have shown me they clearly do not value their customers. For starters, I order the same exact drink every time I frequent and between my sister and I coming here almost daily for years, we have given this company well over $1,000 in sales, for sure, just us two. The drink I always order is a matcha tea latte, substitute oat milk, add lavender, and it costs close to $10. What I have a problem with is this. Whenever I request not too much ice, they don’t fill my cup all the way up. This is a problem. Not only that, but there have been multiple times when I don’t request less ice and they don’t fill the cups all the way to the top. Unbelievable. This is a CHEAP company who clearly does not value their customers. I consider myself a regular because I go here so often, but after they ripped me off today, I refuse to give them another dollar. Besides my birthday reward they owe me, I refuse to ever give my business to this company again. Also, there was a time when my drink would never cost the same despite me ordering it the exact same way every time. At times, it would be more, sometimes less. Newsflash Merit, you’re not cutting costs by under serving your drinks, you’re simply losing your regular customers and losing a lot more in the long run. DO BETTER!
Coffee Quality 1/10 Quiet Atmosphere 1/10 Customer Service 1/10 Just like the majority of other cafes, this is not the place to study. People get together for “social hour” here when people are searching for an outlet to decompress and be productive when studying. The Cafe literally has rock music playing for hours. The workers are rude and irritated from being overworked and the coffee sucks. $6.50 for a bad tasting, run of the mill iced coffee.
