Brother and I traveling through Shiner and stopped in for first time for both of us at Maggie’s! A gentleman was walking out as we were about to enter and we asked him what was good to eat here. He said just about anything, but the burgers were what most people came for. We decided that sounded good so I got the Flame burger and he got the Smash burger. We both decided on fries, but once the burgers came out, we should have skipped them since the burgers were more than enough. Each tasted wonderful. A definite spot we will visit again. The staff were friendly and our order came out within a reasonable amount of time. Kuddos to Maggie’s!!! Oh, btw…they have a burger challenge that I would like to see someone attempt someday!!

FANTASTIC burgers! One of the best we have had. Driving through Shiner and pulled in. Very clean, very hospitable and DELICIOUS. When we are craving a burger we will make the trip!

This was my first time eating here and I have to say," Not bad not bad at all. As a matter of fact it's Great! " I must admit when this episode began I wasn't wowed or too much impressed. (at 1st,) I mean it's a small clean atmosphere which serves good old American dishes ,( like chicken fried steaks and blts,etc) there was one waitress an older middle aged woman and a cook( I expect) , but there wasn't much that popped out at me yelling ," look at me I'm special!". No fancy seating, no fancy get up, just your average mom n pops place/ trying to get a meal ticket out of serving em. The company who invited me noticed my looking around and may have noticed the look on my face and that's when he said,"you know, that I owe them a good tip cause the last time I was here she(referring to our waitress) was here running the place on her own , the cook couldn't make it ,so she did it all herself. She waited tables, took orders and would check on everyone go in the kitchen and fix the meals herself , delivered orders and even ran the register. when I left I knew she was busy so I left the money but after redoing the math I realized I shorted her." And there it was( as I listened to him go on about it) ilike a vail of fog lifted up I could now see what was so special about Maggie's..) a middle aged woman sitting at a table probably doing inventory and paying bills.. I Wondered if she were Maggie or Was it her mom's name? Who evers name it was this woman now appeared so different.. I understood that her soft voice and smile a more soothing look of a mother who is exhausted, but won't ever give up even if she has to do it all by herself was the from what I just heard was the special thing about Maggie's

Cat fish is fantastic. My wife wanted a patty melt , which is not on their menu. They made it anyway and it was spot on. Great staff, clean and priced well. Highly recommend Maggie’s.

Great service and great food! My husband and I are visiting from out of town and stopped by for a late lunch. The staff was so welcoming and kind. We started with fried pickles which were nice and crispy and had a great flavor to it. My husband ordered the Chicken fried steak and I got The fried catfish. Food was so good! Definitely will be coming back.

This is a nice, homey restaurant with good food and clean restrooms. It got kinda busy at lunch on the Friday that we showed up but we didn't have to wait too long or have any problems. I ordered the Patty Melt with fries and it was great. My uncle got the catfish special and couldn't eat all of it so he had to take it home. Will definitely come back when we're in town!

Ray walked in on Jason and Marie kissing in the jacuzzi preparatory room during the storm. He had mixed feelings about this, because Jason was an asset to his towing company, but did he have enough integrity and courage to be romancing his sister? Not that his opinion mattered. Once Marie made a choice, there was no arguing with her. Just as he was about to say something, Mama walked in. “Oh boy” he thought, as Mama began screaming in disapproval.

We will be back food great. Chicken fried steak not on menu. Maggie said we are not that busy so I will fix you a Chicken fried steak. So glad she did one of the best I have ate. Wife and daughter had hamburger. Very good 👍. Like I said we will be back

October 1, 2021: Unfortunately, after I thought about taking pictures of my food & the establishment, the food was gone! I loved the country home, welcoming feeling upon entering the diner. The catfish & french fry plate was soooo good! It reminded me of the fish fry's my family would have growing up. Also, had coleslaw, which was very milky & fresh. In addition to my plate, I enjoyed their chips & queso! Fresh, homemade tortilla chips! Kim, my server, who did a great job at managing the front of the diner, has perfect customer service etiquette. Ensuring customer satisfaction was her main concern!! Carla, who prepared my food, nice presentation!!! Overall, great experience at Maggie's Diner. Pretty cool first impression. Looking forward to going back to try more!

Maggie's is a perfect little spot for a bite to eat. A new addition to the Cleanest Little City in Texas, whether you're coming or going. The fried pickles are on point, as is the rest of the food...though I've only had the pickles and the Smash Burger (ahem, get it and thank me later). And the staff are some of the friendliest people you'll meet.

Comfort food with daily specials. I had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and corn (Monday special); good food served hot. My wife had a cheeseburger with fries. The fries and mashed potatoes were house made, not frozen or from a box.

Place is an absolute joke. Ordered bacon cheddar ranch wrap and this is what I got. A tortilla with a piece of fake cheese, and couple crumbles of bacon. Fries not even cooked all the way through. Came with a group and nobody's fries were cooked. Absolutely disgusting.

The hubby and I were taking a nice drive from Houston to San Antonio and thought we’d stop at Maggie’s Diner for lunch because the reviews were amazing. Unfortunately, the building was plastered with political signs. Immediately changed my mind about spending my hard earned money there.

The hubby and I were taking a nice drive from Houston to San Antonio and thought we’d stop at Maggie’s Diner for lunch because the reviews were amazing. Unfortunately, the building was plastered with political signs. Immediately changed my mind about spending my hard earned money there.
