Opiniones de Asadero La Gran Avenue Socorro
This place checks all the boxes. Delicious, affordable, and low-key—yes please! The complimentary salsa, accompanied by chips, is super flavorful and doesn't hold back on the spice. The charro beans are a real hit, full of flavor. And the burro is fantastic. I'm not sure if they use homemade tortillas but it tastes like it. Oh, and light, delicious horchata!
Restaurant smells amazing with the grilled meat and it tastes excellent. We had the pollo and carne asada and both were fabulous. Corn tortillas came out hot and fresh. Great service and great value.
Amazing place with really good authentic food. I’m traveling from out of town and highly recommend this place. Everything was amazing!
I was really excited to see that they offer beef head (cabeza) on the menu 🌮🔥 — you don’t find that everywhere! I ordered a mixed two-meat platter with cabeza and al pastor. The flavors were honestly fantastic, super authentic and well-seasoned 😋. The only issue was that the cabeza was a bit too oily for my taste. If it had been slightly leaner, it would have been absolutely perfect. We also tried the carne asada plate, and that one really impressed me. The meat was chopped into small pieces and grilled with red and green peppers plus onions 🌶️🧅. It was packed with flavor and cooked just right. You could tell they know how to season their meats. One downside was the chips — they tasted like they came straight from a bag instead of being freshly made in-house. Also, the red and green salsas were extremely spicy 🌶️🔥, so be prepared if you’re sensitive to heat! The restaurant itself is definitely more of a “hole-in-the-wall” spot. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but the inside could use a bit more cleaning. Service also took some time since there was only one employee handling everything — serving, cashiering, and hosting. Despite these small drawbacks, the food is flavorful enough that I’d come back again 😊👌.
The family and I were in from out of town and wanted a home cooked Mexican meal. This place absolutely hit the spot. Smokey, tasty meat. Had an Asada and Al Pastor Parrillada and left full and satisfied. Love the frijoles Charros. Tasted like a backyard barbecue when the grill is just right. No frills just good homemade food.
Best Mexican food we've had since moving here 24 years ago! The Speciality of the House, Steak Picado is now my favorite meal! Definitely going back again and again!!!!
Stumbled on this place and what a great find! We Really enjoyed our late lunch early dinner! The beans were awesome Like a bean soup? Carne Asada was way excellent!
Small place with a magical Sonora style. First, their salsa verde is a miracle from god. I tried their barbacoa burrito. Magical. Legit tastes like what you'd find from true barbacoa chefs in Mexico.
The chicken is amazing! Close the airport. Staff was so kind and helpful. I highly recommend, our group of four shared the whole chicken and the steak special plate and it was more than enough food. Very adorable.
The food here is bursting with flavors. I loved the free cup of beans they gave us. The beans definitely exceeded my Mexican standards. I definitely recommend getting the carne asada in any form. They also had good portions for their price. This place definitely gets my seal of approval. On a side note they didn’t have any rice here which is very odd.
We got the pollo asado with rice, beans, and tortillas and I can highly recommend them! Honestly the portions are pretty big. Super friendly staff and clean environment. Wait for the food was not long at all. Only downside is the parking. Small parking lot or you need to park on the street which isn’t much better. Lots of people ordering takeout.
Greeted as soon as we walked in. The environment is clean and inviting. Our waitress attended to us immediately. Kind, courteous staff who check up on us regularly. The food was phenomenal! We had the media parillada for 2. It comes in a hot tray heated by charcoal with 3 steamy meats of your choice, 7 homemade tortillas, salsa, chips, onions, jalapenos, grilled onions and and charro beans. You still get a side of guacamole, cucumbers, limes, and red onions. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this place. Prices are very affordable too. We will be returning.
Just got off a long flight from the East Coast and was told my the car rental representative to come here. This place did not disappoint. The girls warmly welcomed us and sat us right away. We ordered the whole chicken. This can feed 2-4 people. Everything was delicious! The limonada was tasty and refreshing. If you're in the area or coming off a flight, make this your first stop. It's minutes from the airport!
This Mexican restaurant felt super authentic and the food was delicious. We ordered two samplers as a group of five and were served some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The food had great taste, wasn’t oily at all. It felt simple yet sophisticated! Where the ingredients and preparation speak for themselves and don’t need unnecessary fluff. We had grilled chicken, tongue, carne asada and braised beef. The sauces were spicy and delicious. I am glad we ended up at this restaurant!
Landed and was in need of some great food. Asadero Norte de Sonora did not disappoint. We ordered the special to share with a couple of cold cokes and devoured it. The tortillas are homemade, the seasoning of the carne asada delicious. We can’t wait to try something else next time. Don’t miss this place, it’s fantastic.
Food was great though it got a bit smoky in there for some reason. The portions are quite large for the price which is amazing. We did have to wait a decent amount of time however that was because we ended up taking over the restaurant with over 40 people in there slowly over 2 hours. They were quite nice to us despite the sudden rush with no warning.
The perfect hole in the wall experience! Not much to look at form the outside but open the door to a very authentic and hospital experience. Seat yourself and be served with a smile, I can only imagine the friendly faces this place has served over the years. Complimentary chips and delicious salsa, a good selection of Mexican drinks, and THE SMELL OF THE DELICIOUS MEATS COOKING WILL DRIVE YOU NUTS!! We ordered a meal for 2, comes with 7 tortilla wrapped cozy warm, and choice of 3 meat served in a hot sizzling serving tray. We got Barbacoa, chicken, and carnitas, all delicious!!! Great spot to stop to fill your belly!
A genuine asadero...freshly grilled meats that include Carne asada, pork & chicken. They have delicious Aguas frescas & serve instant coffee. We had a Carne asada plate and 3 different tacos w a side of guacamole & a plate of sliced Cucumber. Beware their salsas as they are nice & spicey.
I love that they serve beef head ( cabeza) but it was very oily. I got a mixed two meat platter . Other meat choice I got was al pastor. Flavors were great. We also got a carne asada plate. The meat was diced up pretty small and grilled with green and red peppers and onions. Very flavorful. The main downside was the chips were out of a bag instead of home made. And the green and red salsas that come with it are very spicy. If the cabeza was less oily and the chips were homemade I would have given the food five stars. Inside the restaurant is a bit dirty . It's a hole in the wall joint, so I didn't expect much but it could use some cleaning. Overall the food is good enough to come back to. Also plan to wait a bit for service. There was only one girl working as server, cashier and hostess.
No frills, tiny restaurant with really good pareillada (small table hibachi) with your choice of up to 3 proteins med & large sizes. We bought 3 large with all the options and fed 10 people, come with beans, guac, cucumbers limes & flour or corn tortillas. It's was really good & the beans were delicious! &&Complimentary chips and salsas (green & red). The horchata and Jamaica were really good too. No alcohol is served here. Service was ok, no real effort in giving the correct drink to person who ordered it but we figured it out. Also had the churro cheesecake my daughter loved it. We paid $160+tip.
I stopped here because I read great reviews. I ordered a pastor burrito and a limonella aqua fresca. My drink was very good, however the burrito was very dry. I added sauce and toppings to try to help the dryness, but it didn't work. Also the menu should be made to where it's easier to read and to highlight popular items in English and Spanish. I would like give to place another shot if I know what to order.
I arrived at 2:30 PM to eat with my husband. It was 3:38 PM and we still did not have our order. I saw people coming in to pick up orders to go. Another family was sitting at the table next to us and they also arrived a little bit before us and we’re still waiting for their order at 3:38 P.m. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I asked the cashier to please charge me for the drinks. Honestly, she shouldn’t have charged me for them as I waited for an hour for my order and I still didn’t have it but anyway, I paid the order of the drinks and left. Their customer service Is down the tube and that’s putting it nicely. If you wanna eat, don’t go here you’ll be waiting for more than an hour for your order. I understand it is not fast food but it doesn’t take over an hour to serve you specially, when you see people coming in and out picking up orders
