Opiniones de Sonoma Grille Sonoma
Food was delicious, the service great, atmosphere pleasant. Prices a bit high but what isn't. I would definitely go again.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Sonoma where hospitality and food quality truly comes first, Sonoma Grille sets the standard. From the moment you walk in, you are treated like a guest, not a table number. Nima, the owner, leads with genuine warmth and intention, creating an environment where every detail matters and every person feels welcome as does the entire staff! The food was exceptional. The lemon baked oysters were perfectly balanced and indulgent, the charcuterie board was thoughtful and beautifully curated, and the salmon carpaccio was easily one of the best I have ever had. We came back a second night to have that dish again. Every dish reflected care, quality, and pride. This is a very clean restaurant. The service deserves special recognition. The servers, bartender, and entire staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and sincerely kind. The restaurant was immaculate, the drinks were strong and expertly made, and the energy of the space was inviting and refined. By the end of our second night, I was unexpectedly emotional. Leaving did not feel like checking out of a restaurant. It felt like saying goodbye to good friends that I was not ready to part with. That is rare. That is hospitality done right. Sonoma Grille is not just a place to eat. It is a place you remember. I’ll be back California and I’ll be back to this gem to see the most kind people and great food experience I’ve had in a while. Highly recommended.
Sonoma Grille is a very well-run restaurant where the service is spot-on, the food is consistently great, and the drinks at the bar are generous and well-priced. Their happy hour is a local favorite.
Highly recommend this place for afternoon lunch or dinner. We had the prawn pappardelle pasta and spinach and mushroom linguine and it was fabulous. The ambience is superb for very laid back vibe to enjoy time in Sonoma after visiting the area with a glass of their own wine. 🍷 And thank you to Nima dai and the staff for their wonderful hospitality and complimentary bottle of wine . 😊 Cheers from Australia.
We made a reservation here for dinner but noticed they had happy hour from 3pm to 5pm. We finished our wine tasting early and decided to arrive early and enjoy the happy hour. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Apparently lots of people enjoy coming here for happy hour as the restaurant was busy. We enjoyed the oyster sampler which featured 4 pairs of different oysters. We then ordered shrimp cocktail and steamed clams and mussels - both on the happy hour menu. Our waiter encouraged us to order the dumplings and so we did. These are very similar to potstickers but a little smaller. Dessert was a daily feature - apple galette. All the food was fresh and delicious.
Sonoma Grille and Bar is a very welcoming place with a warm, inviting ambience. The outdoor patio is especially lovely, with beautiful flowers in bloom that add to the charm. The food was absolutely delicious—we enjoyed every dish we tried. The wild king salmon salad was especially refreshing and flavorful. The owners are friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel at home. Don’t miss the tiramisu—it has a hint of rum that gives it a unique twist. A must-visit spot in the area!
We decided to have our post-civil ceremony wedding celebration here for 9 people. Nawang was kind, responded quickly and great to work with! I especially appreciate being able to communicate via email back-and-forth, which made it much easier. We did a prix fixe menu, which ended up being the perfect way to go. We especially loved the printed menu with the congratulations message to us. When we arrived, the patio & our table were all set with menus at every setting. The food was great! We loved the appetizers, salads, and main courses. Everything tasted fresh! I highly recommend trying the chef sampler for dessert. It was a little bit of everything for all of us to enjoy. And of course, tasty wine and champagne. We were even served hot towels after eating, which was a thoughtful and elegant touch! Miguel, our server was very accommodating and friendly. All of the workers were taking care of us with refreshing water, turning on the heaters and being attentive. It made our special day even more special. So glad we chose Sonoma Grille for our Celebration! Thank you again!
Absolutely lovely. We were scrambling to find a place for valentines / 5 year anniversary dinner and we couldn't have found more lovely experience. The food: amazing, the atmosphere: friendly and relaxed. The service!? Extraordinary. Thank you for making our five year anniversary dinner special and for taking care to accommodate our 3 and 9 year old tag alongs.
Everything about this place was amazing, the food the service the knowledge of the menu. The steak was cooked to perfection. All of the pastas were on time visually pleasing, and the taste was up to par with that. The only bad was that...... no tiramisu or creme brulee. The staff was there when you needed that like they knew. If you can check them out.
This place is delicious! The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere is cute. I came for brunch, but ended up getting the Saffron Pappardelle. Saffron is one of my favorite spices and this dish did not disappoint. The infused saffron noodles were absolutely amazing and the sauce was so good I could have drank it. I am so sad I am just now finding this place because I come to Sonoma very often. I will for sure be back and recommend this place to anyone who comes to the area!
We went for happy hour and were pleased with the food and drinks. Happy hour runs from 3:00-5:30 Mondays through Thursdays and only until 5:00 on Fridays. It is not offered on weekends. The house white wine (a local Sauvignon blanc) was good and cost $5. They make their own good Pale Ale beer which at happy hour is only $3. We preferred the green salad ($7) over the Caesar ($8). The BBQ oyster dish ($11) has six oysters with two dipping sauces- it was fine but if you prefer raw oysters they are on the menu and cost $1.50 each. We also had the calamari- they are heavily breaded so don’t order them if you don’t like deep fried breading. We took off the breading. The clams and mussel dish ($11) was very tasty with a nice broth. We also liked the veggie flatbread ($9) which has artichokes, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, pesto and feta cheese. For desert we had the tiramisu ($7)- it was okay, but I have had better (I’ve also had worse). The service was attentive and friendly. All in all it was a good meal and we were happy to have eaten there.
Great atmosphere, great art, great service, and SO much potential with the food. TASTE before you plate! Risotto for both dishes needed salt and more acid for the risotto with lamb shank. This might be a community thing since salt and pepper are already on the table. I find that most restaurants with fine dining chefs ONLY provide these when asked since it changes the flavor of the dish. Lamb was nice and tender and the mushrooms and prawns were perfectly cooked. Lack of seasoning can make these seem bland.
We dined here on Valentine’s Day with an 8:30 PM reservation. The restaurant was completely packed, which we expected for the holiday, but service felt noticeably slow — we didn’t receive our drinks until around 8:55. It was a pre-fixe menu with selectable options. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the strong reviews we had seen online. The miso soup with crab was surprisingly flavorless and lacked depth. The butternut squash ravioli leaned overly sweet, and the salmon with beet purée felt like an unusual pairing that didn’t quite come together. Overall, the dishes felt bland and underwhelming. Our server was fine, though not especially warm or engaging. The lighting also detracted from the overall experience — it felt quite bright for a Valentine’s dinner service. Dimmers would go a long way in creating a more intimate and elevated atmosphere. Given the reputation and holiday pricing, we left feeling disappointed. I was really hoping for a more memorable evening.
Food was lacking in flavor from apps to mains. Outdoor space was nice but there was a rat that kept creeping around which made it hard to enjoy the evening. Service was a bit slow. Maybe good for lunch? Dinner… pass. Too many great places around to waste your time at a place that is mailing it in.
We were so excited for our anniversary dinner at Sonoma Grill and what a Disappointment. Food was so below average with absolutely no taste. Pesto rigatoni w shrimp tasted like it came out of a jar and portion was so small left hungry. Basket of bread a complete joke which they charged for… solid restaurants shouldn’t charge for especially what they served. Other pasta and shrimp dish was soggy noodles with no taste day old shrimp at best. Just our experience for a lot of $$$ with no value.
Went in at 4:55 hoping for happy hour. Seated quickly. Waitress comes over 10 minutes later says too late for happy hour prices. I ended up being glad. Women at table next to me smelling oysters complained and sent them back. We left.
