Opiniones de Don Nico's Stephenville
The food was good and the service was on point. Our waitress was on top of things and the food came out quickly.
It was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever visited. It was fresh, homemade Chips that were still warm. They were light and crispy. The salsa one of the tastiest I've eaten, fresh and had a just the right amount of heat. Sour cream enchiladas with jalapeno slices on top. I'm already looking for a reason to visit them again in Stephenville, Tx.
You recently go wrong with anything on the menu, but we really love the combo enchiladas. They're served with potatoes that are out of this world delicious.
Surprisingly good. Except the chips. Kinda wierd. No flavor
Was in town handling my father's funeral services and grabbed a quick lunch here. Very good Mexican food and excellent wait staff that were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.
The crew was great. We even got there a little late. You could tell they were ready to close up, but still one of the best waitresses. Very attentive. She done her job very well. Even though we arrived really close closing time.
We have been looking. For a good Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant in the area without any luck. Then we stu.bled on Don Nico's... I was pleasantly surprised that their salsa actually had spice/heat (unlike every other place we have tried in this area). Wend for a basic burrito, just to check out the flavors... It was excellent! And, although they don't have cremosa, they did have a spicy green sauce that is very similar to it. I think we may have found our new regular place... Can't wait to try their breakfast next.
Don Nico's was great! The atmosphere slaps you in the face with Hispanic culture. The music, decor, colors, table designs, chairs, and pretty much everything else adds to the great atmosphere of Don Nico's. The red salsa is chunky with good flavor and a little bit of spice. The green chile is also good. It's not chunky at all and is a little more spicy than the red. They're actually pretty good mixed together. I ordered the lunch special chimichanga. It's a great size for lunch. It's filled with ground beef, fried in a burrito and topped with chili and cheese. It comes with a side of rice and beans. It is very delicious! My waitress was fantastic! She was extremely attentive, delivered my food quickly, and never let my drink go empty. It was a little busy during lunch time but not too busy. There were more than enough tables for you to walk in and eat right away. My advice is give it a try! I will be back!
We had some time before our Campus Visit just down the street at Tarleton State University! The restaurant vibe is very colorful and energetic. Everyone was very attentive and polite. There is a lunch menu and a larger regular menu - something for everyone. We split a single order of chicken fajitas - they were really good, and we couldn't finish them. I'll mention that they have a lot of pieces (not quite shredded). My daughter doesn't even the veggies - picks the chicken - so it makes it hard to do that - but it's fine for an adult ;) We also had enchiladas, flan, and sopapilla. Loved the homemade chips!! We were SO full - we should have eaten here AFTER the campus tour ;) We would eat here again if we were in the area!!
It was about 8:30pm and a nearby Mexican restaurant that I've been to several times must have closed early so I tried something new with my granddaughter. Even though it was supper and late, when I asked for coffee, she graciously made a fresh pot. Our food was quick, correct, hot and delicious. Ir was also visually appealing. That is a huge factor in my opinion. Well done Don Nicos.
It’s OK, but I would not anywhere near put this at top notch Mexican food. It was rather bland for my taste. Mexican food that I am accustomed to is far more spicy. I believe the salsa is maybe 1° above ketchup. It did provide some nourishment, but I would not choose it as a to go place.
It’s so sad you can’t find a good place that cares about customer service. Waitress was fine but I guess management skimps too much.
Not top rated. Just a run of the mill tex mex. California burrito was okay just more fries then carne. Maybe 2 oz worth of meat. Service was good.
I don't like the reviews, but im going to make exception. The is bad. Greasy no taste. At this time is the worst experience meal that ever take, will Say why change burger king for don nico
The food I managed to eat was outstanding. Nevertheless, our waitress fell short in providing good service, as she did not listen effectively. My food took an additional 10 minutes to arrive compared to everyone else's at the table. The Arys Shrimp Tacos I ordered lacked the accompanying sauce until the tacos had gone cold. In contrast, the Mexican Potatoes and charro beans were both delicious. As our party consisted of six individuals, the restaurant automatically included a tip in our bill. Upon expressing my dissatisfaction with the service, an unidentified man, who overheard my remarks, gave me a full refund.
The homemade chips and salsa started off to a good dinner. And that’s where it ended. The queso tasted like cheese out of a can not even as good as movie theater nachos, and cheese. I had the enchilada combination plate. The ground beef tasted like Alpo out of a can. Barely finished any of my dinner and left it all there. The chicken fajita meat I think was Tyson‘s fajita meat. It was obviously processed not fresh chicken breast. The shrimp in the fajita were previously cooked frozen.
