Opiniones de Salt City Coffee Syracuse
The espresso drinks are simply divine, the chain brands don’t even come close. I love that I can order online ahead of time and grab my coffee on the way to work.
Stopped to get some hot tea and coffee with my mother before flying home. This coffee shop was like a little slice of heaven! Amazing brews and sweet staff! I even snagged a bag of beans to take home!
For the price point, it's the best coffee in Syracuse. They sometimes have speciality roasts, such as bourbon barrel aged or anaerobic, which are a still reasonably priced. Their normal everyday roasts are still solid choices.
Salt City? A newish, awesome 'Cuse tradition. Love their coffee, of course, but they have these tasty vegan pop tarts too. And the breakfast sandwiches are yum too. Not sure if they have plant protein options, perhaps Salt City could let me know (which would be a great kindness)?
Amazing neighbourhood coffee shop and roaster. Coffee and espresso drinks done very well. Lots of varied types of seating, clean bathrooms, friendly staff. Great addition to the local coffee scene in Syracuse.
Wonderful sandwiches, really nice people, interesting space. I'm not much of a coffee drinker but their tea selection is good, and they serve the best chai latte in Syracuse.
I didn't even know about this place. My friend brought me to salt city coffee and I am very impressed with the atmosphere, menu items and coffee selection. And the employees are friendly and I can tell they take pride in the business. One more thing is how beautifully decorated. I am now a customer for life. Well done Salt City Coffee!
This quaint little cafe is one of the best kept secrets in Syracuse! Located in one of the old grand mansions of historic Syracuse, it provides a beautiful place to grab a nice variety of teas and coffees, and lightfare. The staff is friendly, Seating is varied and comfortable, service is wonderful. WiFi. You order your food, without a long wait, and they deliver it to your table. Lots of vegan selections. My favorites - Dirty Vanilla Soy Chi, and a breakfast sandwich with lots avacado!
Lived up to the hype! Best coffee place in Salt City! I got a latte: smooth espresso in oat milk m that was delicious without any sweetener. No need to dilute truly delicious coffee!
It's hard to go back to anything like Folgers once you've experienced quality fresh roasted coffee like what SC serves up. Their Mexican medium roasts are top notch.
Literally amazing every single time!!!! Great service and awesome everything. If you're an ice coffee drinker please get the Valencia. It's literally the best iced coffee I've ever had.
Lovely coffeehouse with great atmosphere. The pour over is amazing, and be sure to try the chocolates. Baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable. I cannot wait to go back.
SUPER cute cafe. i love the vibes here so much! my drink was super tasty too
I spend so much time here. Excellent coffee!! Best coffee spot in Syracuse!
What a fabulous new coffee joint! The drinks are delicious; the people are wonderful; and, the ambience is lovely. All in all, you should definitely stop by for a drink. You won't be disappointed.
W Onondaga has always been my favorite location, the vibe is so serene and the employees are always so nice efficient no matter how busy they are! i normally get whatever cold brew special they have for the season, but today rowan was outstanding and they made the best strawberry espresso tonic🍓
This place is fantastic! I just started coming here since it’s fairly close to work compared to some other coffee shops and I was definitely not disappointed. I tried their cereal milk latte, which was phenomenal and their avocado bagel which was also SUPER good Staff was incredibly nice and the environment was perfect!
I love Salt City! It’s right by my work so when I want to treat myself to a good coffee or grab a quick breakfast or lunch it’s my go to spot. Their breakfast sandwiches are fresh cracked eggs and the salads are so good! I’ve even used the space for meetings with coworkers! Customer service is top notch and the space is really nice.
I 💖💖💖 the atmosphere of this cafe and the brewing process is very unique. The Chocolate Raspberry Coffee was absolutely divine. I bought my sister an hand painted coffee mug from the cafe. She ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ It!!! I would absolutely go there again when I’m in the area!!!!! ❤️🧡💛💛💙🤎🖤💜
Great place to grab a bite and coffee. Their everything bagel with bacon and chives is sublime if you order it lightly toasted. The staff aims to please and are prompt. My main reason for giving it 5 stars is they have a pay it forward wall for coffee or a bagel, they're definitely worth supporting as a good local business!
I love this little coffee shop! They have a “pay it forward” wall where you can purchase a coffee or bagel for someone, or take a token and redeem it if you could use a free coffee. The employees there are so pleasant. I love that my office is close by so that I can support this small business!
Absolute favorite place to go in Downtown Cuse. What I love most is their consistency. You know what your coffee or latte is going to taste like every time you walk in. Which is very hard to find these days with different coffee shops. Maria and Aaron are amazing! Can't wait to get back in and have a breakfast burrito 😍😍
The salt city coffee shop is a cute little spot to spend for the afternoon or just do some work. I ordered summer special lavender berry latte and regular ones and both regular iced latte and they tasted so good. I love the no straw design.
Exceptional café for coffee lovers. One of, if the, best cappuccinos I've ever had. They also offer V60 and Chemex pour-overs which I've never seen on a menu before. Low-cost drip coffee is available as well, of course. The breakfast food was hot and fresh. Gem in Syracuse.
Adorable place, kind staff, good strong community vibes. (Saw people greeted by name.) Ample parking in back. They even have air filters running inside (for COVID I'm guessing) and I was very happy to see all employees wearing masks properly the whole half hour I was there! Looking forward to trying more on the menu!
Salt City Coffee is truly a hidden gem and a must-try in the Syracuse area. The friendly staff is incredibly accommodating and give great recommendations. The cozy environment indoors or outdoors is extremely welcoming and comfortable. If you have the opportunity, definitely go!
Comfortable place to meet up. Coffee is always on point. Their coffee is perfectly roasted that their is no need mask the flavor. This is the best place to get a chocolate drink. Only complaint is wishing they're open later.
Salt City Coffee is one of Syracuse's true gems! They roast their own coffee (in house at this location, even) and have the best quality espresso drinks in the area by far. They always have fun and interesting rotating specials (as of March 2022, they include an espresso tonic, a linzer cortado, and a rose-cascara soda) and source treats from Sweet Praxis (local bakery with vegan options) or make their own breakfast sandwiches/burritos, which are good if a bit overpriced. You're paying for the quality of coffee you get, so don't be surprised if a latte and a treat run you over $10, but I doubt you'd be disappointed.
I’m not from Syracuse, but every single time I go for work I am stopping at Salt City coffee! The Valencia cold brew is PERFECTION. I also have a really unhealthy obsession with the iced banana bread latte. If you haven’t been, you need to go ASAP.
This is by far my favorite place to stop and get coffee or order ahead when short on time. The vibe is great, and the house it's located in is gorgeous. All of the baristas are friendly and helpful.
The Mexico (Brew/Drip) and Brazil (V60 pour over) were good cups of coffee. But the Atmosphere was exactly what I love! This didn't have a business vibe to it; I felt like I crashed at my best friend's buddies place and woke up to a great aroma. Thanks for the good vibes Salt City Coffee...Cheers!
Fantastic coffee and the barista remembered my name when I came back to order 2 more cappuccinos to go.
Amazing coffee shop! My favorite place to go. Great coffee, delicious treats and really good bite to eat if breakfast or lunch is needed. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.
This is one of our favorite coffee stops in Syracuse. Freshly ground pour over is always worth the wait. The staff is great and their pay it forward program should be the standard at every coffee shop
Everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, know their stuff, and handle groups quite well. Plenty of parking 'round back, so if you're looking for good coffee, make the effort - it's worth it.
Love this cute little house and the coffee is always so good. I always go here when I visit Syracuse.
In my opinion, one of the best coffee shops in Syracuse! If you are looking for amazing coffee, friendly staff and a chill environment to hang out, work remotely or just drink coffee, then this is the place to be! Highly recommend!
First visit for a lunch meeting today and I loved it. Has a very cute, vintage/salvaged art style with gorgeous exposed brick accent walls. Service was friendly and prompt, and didn't make me feel stupid about needing a few coffee terms defined. 😄 Had the breakfast bagel and savored every bite!
Really nice place. Clean and genuinely friendly staff. A friend suggested this place to have coffee. I never would have found it otherwise. Easy to drive right by it as it looks like a house. The cappuccino I had was delicious! The setting is the really cook thing here though. It's a grand old renovated mansion. Will definitely be back.
To say that I experienced life before trying the coffee here would be a tragedy on par with Shakespeare's Othello. The quality of service and attentiveness to customer needs is far beyond the scope of reasonable. I arrived looking for a cup of coffee, and left with a new worldview of what constitutes customer service. Regina was quick, kind, and friendly, and sets a new standard in the barista industry. She made my experience as wonderful as my coffee was delicious. Which is very. It was very delicious. Suspiciously delicious. I want more.
We were visiting from Alfred, Ny and was recommended this coffee shop for a cup of coffee. They served me the best Oat milk latte that I have ever tasted. We also order a latte with a shot of black cherry. It was really tasty and excellent flavor. The staff was very friendly and professional. We will definitely be back next time we are in the neighborhood.
Clean, friendly and comfortable place to hang out or work. The packed coffee selection is amazing and the coffee tastes good. The is a parking area behind the building, which makes it comfortable to stay as you wish. Definitely dropping by again when visiting Syracuse.
Absolutely lovely!! The coffee is smooth, no bitterness. I had a half caf pour over and it was so smooth I could drink it black, which I never do. I also ordered the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! The space has great energy. Highly recommend you check it out!
Salt City is my go to for coffee whether buying beans to make coffee at home, or having one of their talented and friendly baristas make coffee at their location. I’ve only had good experiences with Salt City! You have to try the cereal milk latte - they rotate the type of cereal, so it’s always a sweet treat seeing which one is there!
What a blessing to find this place in such an obscure location. The energy in there is awesome, coffee great and prices good. You should definitely take the time to see for yourself and stop in some time. You will be politely surprised and most definitely your spirits will be lifted. Sometimes, the location makes the place, but in this case its what's on the inside that counts. Great people, great service, and a wonderful setting.
We love it here! Such a cozy vibe and always great coffee! Highly recommend!
I’ve been going here several times per week for over a year now, so I’m in shock I haven’t written a review until now!! 5 stars all the way down the line!!!!! Friendly staff, chill vibes and delicious coffee all under the roof of a beautiful old home filled with ornate architectural design.
An absolutely stellar coffee house. Straight coffee and amazingly creative fun drinks too. Vegan and gluten free pastry options, too
Surprising gem in a borderline neighborhood. Trendy and welcoming atmosphere inside with table seating and comfy chairs. Friendly/helpful staff. Parking is available in the back. Outdoor seating available. Lots of delcious drink options and menu items. Options to buy roasted beans and even pay it forward to treat someone else to a coffee or bagel with large tokens on their menu board.
Big fan of their coffee. Not only are their drinks really good but so are their beans. They also make really good brownies if you like them fudgie... you know, how brownies should be :) The baristas are super friendly and always happy to answer questions. Can't recommend this place enough. Whether you take your coffee seriously or like your sugar with coffee, give it a try!
Wow! This location is so inviting, the workers seem to love being there and having you there. Great experience both times we went. I purchased the Quetzal to take home for brewing, this is the best coffee. Great notes of flavor. Will continue to support amazing workers and a great place for coffee. The pastries are local s as well, great scones!
Great experience here today! The barista was really helpful and such a positive attitude. My coffee was very delicious (Valencia cold brew) and I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel w/ Thai chili sauce which was also extremely delicious. Thank you for being such a diamond in the area!
I love this little coffee shop! They make the BEST coffee. My son tried it for the first time on 7/3/25, and he loved it, too!
The cafè at 509 W. Onondaga street is awesome!! They have delicious coffees and the most incredible quiches I have ever had! The small seating area is nice and cozy and perfect for a little visit with friends or a small meeting. I highly recommend this small business!!!
A chill, cozy, quiet little place. They brew your pour-over coffee right on the front counter, which I thought was so cool. Tasty egg sandwiches! This felt like a special place, and I'm greatful that it exists in my city
Def one of my fav places in Syracuse for a warm drink! And the atmosphere is perfection. A must try for all!
Wish they were open later. This is an awesome coffee shop! Great atmosphere. I love the couches and arm chairs! The ladies running tye place were super nice and funny.
Salt City Coffee is a true Syracuse gem—steeped in local pride and buzzing with creative energy. The space itself has character: exposed brick walls, cozy seating nooks, and a laid-back vibe perfect for laptop work or long chats. The drinks are surprisingly adventurous. Their specials are genuinely worth trying, which is rare even among good cafes. The Parasol (a ginger matcha fusion) is layered and aromatic—divisive but deeply flavorful if it’s your thing. The Scorcher is a citrusy espresso tonic that packs a serious summer jolt. Regular drinks like the matcha latte and cappuccino are well-executed with silky milk and clean espresso notes, though not particularly standout on their own. The rotating seasonal pastries—PB&J muffin, zucchini sunrise, honey lavender donut—show off a playful, local touch. We also picked up some beans to go; they roast in-house and clearly take it seriously. In short, this is one of the few cafes where I’m excited to try the specials. Salt City is confident, creative, and grounded in community. Highly recommended.
I am newer to the area and have been trying out coffee places to find "my favorite coffee spot". Food - great. I got a blueberry lemon muffin and it was top notch in my opinion. I don't know if their baked good are made in house but it tasted like it was. Coffee - so far my favorite taste of coffee from all the coffee shops I have visited thus far. I enjoyed their coffee so much that I have returned for a second time. The first picture is when I stayed to eat and the second picture is from today when I was in more of a hurry and took my order to go. I love that they make the foam art on both the to-stay and to-go orders. Atmosphere is not exactly what I am personally looking for (it is great for those that are looking for a library feel with the darker paint colors I feel giving it that vibe). We all have our own preference and so far they won me over with their latte.
We LOVE working with the team at Salt City Coffee! Their coffee cart is the perfect addition to weddings and events -our clients and guests always rave about it. Not only is the coffee incredible, but the service is consistently warm, reliable, and professional. Salt City brings the good vibes and the caffeine☕✨
Forever my favorite local coffee shop. The workers are always so nice, the coffee is great and the place is absolutely adorable and welcoming. I love taking my friends here for the first time to enjoy it. The Valencia cold brew is my go-to, and the cuselandia is a close second. Highly recommend it!
Very elegant and calm atmosphere inside the cafe. Quick service, nice people. Loved the avocado toast with pickled onions and cappuccino. The bagel sandwich was also good. The orders look like small portion but they were extremely filling. Had a nice breakfast with friends. Do visit 😊
Definitely underrated… One of the better bacon egg and cheese bagels I have had in upstate NYC! Perfectly done and toasted. Coffee and presentation was amazing. I got a mocha coffee and they burn 🔥 a marshmallow on top. Chai Latte was good too. The interior was very homey. I would highly recommend!
Great spot to enjoy some coffee and snacks. Beautiful decor and simple setting. Kind and friendly hospitality. I got a zucchini vegan muffin and latte ☕️I tried the Valencia cold brew based on recommendations- it was a full and rich flavored cold brew with a hint of cinnamon and vanilla. Slightly sweet, but not overwhelming flavor 🧊 ☕️ 👌🏽
I stumbled onto this coffee shop and was pleasantly surprised. They roast their beans in house and the atmosphere provided here is amazing. The music is kept low so talking to the people you are with is easy and the seating makes it feel homey and warm. The cold brew is fantastic and the perfect way to start the day. Definitely give it a try
Absolutely brilliant. There’s no reason why this establishment shouldn’t have five stars across-the-board. The quality of the coffee and food is exquisite. The staff is friendly and approachable. Everything is clean and has a calming uniqueness. I just moved here and will be making an appearance very often. I saw that they have a one star from someone that hadn’t explained why. I assume it’s from a troll. Very happy to have found this place.
Great coffee at a reasonable price. The perfect cafe. Terrific ambiance, love the decorations and the location. They are on the first floor of a remodeled old Syracuse home. Great space for grabbing a bite with folks from work or just hanging with friends. The Thai Turkey sandwich is incredible and they do a wonderful job with espresso drinks. In the area, my favorite coffee shops are Cafe Kubal, Recess, and Broadway. They all do a great job. Salt City, however, has become my go-to place. They close at 4pm and have some hours on Saturday so this isn't the place for doing that late night research (Recess is better for that), but perfect for a quick work getaway or to prep for your afternoon meeting.
My favorite drink is the Cuselandia! Super uniquely flavored. And the baristas are super welcoming and friendly. The exterior is better looking than the interior. The seating is a bit uncomfortable and dated. It’s like a living room with thrifted furniture vibe.
Everyone here is so sweet EXCEPT for the girl with red hair. Terrible attitude and extremely rude to customers. I was in a meeting at the store and because I didn’t hear her she slammed my coffee on the table and stormed off, leaving spilt drink on my laptop. Sad to see someone ruin the integrity of such a lovely place.
Broadly good coffee and good service but ordering ahead suffers. Expect a wait for your order to be ready, even if you've called it in twenty minutes ahead of time. In fact, Phone ordering is listed but they don't do that either, which is unfortunate! Not everything sold is on their Square site.
Outstanding coffee at a price that is reasonable for gourmet. The location is less than convenient and the entrance to the back parking lot is easily missed. If they were located more centrally downtown, I would be a regular for sure.
I absolutely love this little coffee shop. The bagel sandwiches are a must have, along with the homemade pop-tarts. The coffee has always been fantastic too. The one and only downside is the price, things are just a little high. However, you get what you pay for, so it’s 4/5 stars from me!
We ordered a cortado, it was tasty but not a real cortado more like a cappuccino.
Looking for a local coffee joint while stopping over in Syracuse and found this place on W. Onondaga Street… what a great find. Awesome coffee! Great ambiance and quick service. Try the banana nut muffin while there. Outstanding. Park in the back lot and go enjoy.
Good place, just an insanely long wait, Even when ordering online.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it might have been an off morning when I went due to all other reviews being so good. What I got as a vanilla oatmilk latte was horrible as a latte, great as gravy though. I know, sounds like I'm joking but I'm not. I had 2 other people try it and they agreed, it tasted like gravy. The breakfast sandwich was great though! Hope to have a better experience next time I'm in town!
Saturday doesn’t not open until 9am rather than the 8pm stated online. Not a huge deal! As I sat outside the guy inside ignored me standing out front until I knocked. It took him 2 minutes to walk ten feet to which he rudely pointed at the sign (in which is under the business next doors logo) I then told him online says 8 and he didn’t seem to care and shrugged and went back to his business. I will no longer visit the university location…..but I will still visit the Fayetteville location as they are always above and beyond excellent!
