Five stars all the way. Awesome food even better service 😀
My friends and I went for lunch yesterday. Jackson was outstanding! Our food was amazing too! Can’t go wrong on any item.
Love this fun happy place Great food awesome burgers and many options , save room for delicious desserts , weekend brunch too My server Cassie was really helpful and accommodating and GM Freddy runs a great ship Lots of easy free parking at the oaks mall Easy to get back on the freeway
Food was amazing. Service was lacking a bit. Server did not seem too focused on our table but everything else was fantastic
We decided to stop here on a road trip. I loved the laid back vibe when we walked in. Lots of good choices for comfort food. I had the Chicken & Havarti sandwich and my wife had Mom's pot pie. Both very tasty with good flavor and brought out hot. Dessert Peach Raspberry pie.... Delish! Our waiter Martin was very attentive and had a great personality. We will be coming back.
Great atmosphere and service. Our dog loves it here. Everything is on the up and up, but the price/quality is a bit off. I’m ok with paying a little premium for the very dog friendly atmosphere and delicious craft beers.
second time eating at lazy dog with friends and got surprised..much better experience compared to the first visit..for appetizers,we ordered lettuce wrap and it was delicious...for main entree,, we ordered flat iron steak,,grilled salmon over brown rice with veggies and the bison meatloaf..and our sever was so nice and very attentive...will coming back for more..highly recommended.
The food is always good here! Great staff as well! Thanks again!
My husband and I went there after our movie. We got an array of appetizers. That were absolutely delicious! My favorite was the crispy deviled eggs. I don’t like anything spicy, and the candied bacon was very spicy. But they remade it for me without the bacon. Such a unique and delicious appetizer. Compliments to the chef!
Lazy Dog is one of my top three favorite restaurants. I especially love their fish dishes. The service is excellent, and the staff is friendly. The food is tasty, and the place feels welcoming. I highly recommend Lazy Dog for a great meal and a fun dining experience.
Great food and suggestions from Jennifer, great service. Had the campfire pot roast and passion fruit tea. Good job 👍🏽
This is the ABSOLUTE BEST Lazy Dog location!! The food, staff, and atmosphere are GREAT!! Our server Jen is FANTASTIC, she is ALWAYS so caring and attentive. Tony, the manager is the best manager I have ever seen, he ALWAYS makes sure that everything is perfect—he truly cares about his customers!! This Lazy Dog location is so BLESSED to have Jen and Tony working there—they are both TRUE ASSETS to the company!!
This place is such a gem! The food is always delicious, the menu has something for everyone, and the staff goes above and beyond every time. Huge thanks to the general manager and the whole team. They honestly make you feel truly welcomed and cared for. My dog absolutely loves coming here too, which says a lot. It’s rare to find a spot that gets everything right. Can’t recommend it enough.
The best BBQ bacon ranch burger I have ever had, oh and the fries are phenomenal, perfect crisp and flavor like no other. Shout out to the chefs and host for being so great.
Such a lovely place to have lunch! The manager, Trevor, made a special effort to be sure that we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience! Carly seated in us on the patio and the chef, David, prepared delicious food for us to savor. Great service by Will too. I highly recommend Lazy Dog, Thousand Oaks!
First time and we’ll be back. Friendly and attentive staff. The manager brought us garlic fries as a welcome gift for our first time eating here. Had wine and margarita. Guacamole burger was cooked perfect, delicious with all the fixings. Fried chicken salad was yummy too. My husband and I shared both followed by the brownie ice cream dessert. Great lunch on the patio. We highly recommend this restaurant for both food quality and taste, excellent service and friendly staff and atmosphere.
Great spot to grab a bite with friends, or your pups, or even with your friends and their pups. The food drinks are reasonably priced and really good. There’s plenty of choices, you can even order a bowl for your pup. To top it all off, the staff is friendly and attentive. It does get busy like crazy busy, I ended up making a reservation to get a spot on the patio (Saturday evening), but it was easy to do it online.
Lazy Dog in Thousand Oaks is a wonderful, happy place to hang out with friends and family. I visited with my girlfriends and our daughters. While we sat at one table, the little girls had their own table. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the ambiance was great. We had a truly wonderful evening!
First time here and wont be my last. Our server Brittany was above and beyond a usual server. The food was amazing. Great variety and i loved the suggestions. She gave us some waffle fries to try they were amazing. I dont usually get dessert but the food was so delicious i couldnt resist trying two of the desserts. I would recommend this place to everyone. This place is also dog friendly and has doggie meals. We didn't have our pup with us so we ordered one to go. I hope you all enjoy this place as much as our family did.
I had the pleasure of being helped by Joy, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. She provided absolutely amazing service—attentive, kind, and professional from start to finish. What really stood out was how genuinely happy she looked the whole time. Her positive energy was contagious and made the interaction so enjoyable. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats people. Joy is a rare gem, and I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for excellent service with a smile!
Lazy Dog restaurant in Thousand Oaks is a fantastic place for a family outing. The ambiance is absolutely lovely, with its cozy setting and charming decor making it feel like a home away from home. The focus on burgers makes it a perfect spot for a family dining experience, where everyone can find something they love. This time, I decided to switch things up and try their grilled chicken dish, and I must say, it was great. Lazy Dog has definitely earned its place as one of my go-to spots for a delicious meal and a great time with loved ones.
I’ve always been a fan of Lazy Dog but have never been to this location! They have a large patio if you want to bring your dog to eat. They even have doggy food items you can order for them. Inside they have lots of seating and TVs if you want to watch the sports games! They have a very extensive menu and have something for everyone. I went with the walnut chicken salad sandwich and you get to choose a side. I went with the mashed potatoes but tried the French Fries as well. Others at my table got the PB & J Burger and the Fish and Chips which comes with their apple cider coleslaw. The service was great and they were able to check in on us and explain some of their popular menu items. Apparently the chicken pot pie is one of their top sellers, but they don’t have it past 9pm normally. Can’t wait to come back next time I am in town.
Awesome experience every time I go! The waiters are always on top of it and very polite. Staff genuinely cares about the customers and provides A+ experience. The food quality is beyond delicious. This is a must try place if you are looking for yummy quality burgers/food. P.S the desserts are all sooo yummy! The chocolate sundae is my fave (my picture below)
I love the Lazy Dog. The Bartenders are great, the food is really delicious and I love watching TV from the bar or chit chatting with complete strangers enjoying some fresh air.
The manager here is great. All of the staff is super nice & friendly. The food was very good too! We came on a busy Sunday during football and our wings came out pretty cold, we let the manager know and she immediately got us a new order and gave us the best customer service. We will definitely be back! 🍴👍
We order "to go" through Uber Eats here frequently and I thought I would write a review for everyone to know that their burgers are fabulous! Our favorite place to get a burger in town was Red Robin and since they shut down we had to find a new place. Now granted, we are very picky about our burgers: (1) We like them cooked the way we order them (2) we want a patty that fits the bun (not smaller, which some places tend to do) (3) we want our patty juicy, fresh tasting and made with choice/high quality meat and (4)we want toppings that are fresh and plentiful. French fries have to be crispy (not soggy) and need to be HOT, not warm. We found our new favorite place for burgers here at Lazy Dog! They have consistently hit the mark on all these standards the last 3 times we ordered through Uber Eats. Please understand that we actually go to pick up our Uber Eats order. We prefer it this way because we want to be assured that our food is hot when we eat it and many times delivery brings us a warm meal, when we prefer it to be hot (HOT food hot, COLD food cold-I was a waitress at a time in my life and this is what I was trained to think of when serving food. It has now become standard when dining out). The Uber Eats app tells us when our order should be ready for pick up and Lazy Dog has always been on time. Pick up there is super easy. You go into the front and tell the hostess you are there to pick up your Uber Eats order. You then go outside to wait for it to be brought out to you, which is in a matter of minutes. It makes for an easy dinner for us.
Had a bad day yesterday and didn’t feel like cooking, so I decided to order Lazy Dog to be delivered. I live near Thousand Oaks, so I ordered from there. When I received my order, it was missing the sauce which really makes the dish. I was really bummed because I did not want to go back out to pick up sauce. When I spoke with the manager, Trey, he told me they would make it right. They remade the dish and then he had another manager (David) drive it out to my house. They also removed the item from my bill, and gave me a coupon for the next time we order from there. I went from frustrated to honored that they would go through all that trouble just to make sure I had my meal. I haven’t had that level of customer service in a long time. In fact, I don’t really leave many reviews, but I could not skip this one. So thankful for all they did to make a bad day better.
We got the ahi bowl,ny steak, candy bacon and fried deviled eggs with huckleberry lemonade and pink lemonade and every single thing we had was DELICIOUS. the green beans could've been cooked a little longer but that's a small thing compared to how wonderful it was and our waitress was great too.
Always ❤️❤️ Lazy Dog. Huge menu with lots of great options. Recommend Crispy Deviled Eggs, Buffalo Cauliflower & Brussel Sprouts as starters. Main entrees: Thai Noodles and Ribs (both sauces are delicious and you can request 1/2 & 1/2 when ordering the full rack). Best French Fries 🍟. Non-alcoholic Cucumber & Lemon drink was so refreshing. Servers always attentive.
This Lazy Dog did not disappoint. Fantastic food. Everything looked and smelled so good that I forgot to get pictures of the food. The decor is a strong solid, rustic, friendly atmosphere with extremely friendly staff that are helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Very clean establishment and cute signs that help everyone keep safe 'social distancing' protocols. Thank you for making our visit enjoyable.
Been to a few lazy dog restaurants and they never disappoint. Friendly staff, dog friendly, really good food and a wide enough variety of food for everyone to enjoy from American to Korean. The beers and mixed drinks are on point also.
I had a FANTASTIC experience being waited on by Martin today. He was a perfect server and I was really blown away. He was so warm, kind and attentive. Thank you Martin!! Lazy Dog is lucky to have you.
Great atmosphere and excellent food! There is a heated, dog-friendly patio with a fireplace. The menu is diverse and includes appetizers, soups, sandwiches, salads, burgers, pizzas, entree dishes and desserts. They have several vegetarian dishes, which are all very good. They have a full bar, including beer on tap. I had a 22 oz. Amber draft and it hit the spot. I recently had the spaghetti squash pasta and beet balls, and it was a hearty portion. My server recommended I get the beet balls well done so they were firm and not mushy. Delicious! My wife ordered the burata and heirloom cherry tomato crisp, and she loved it. We also tried the sweet potato tots with doing sauces, and I highly recommend them.
From a southerner the name concocts mental pictures of hotdogs. Or at least it does me. Nothing could be further from the truth as I thoroughly enjoyed a wok fired chicken with rice and veggies! And oh my. They have a Peach Bellini. My wife loves those things! The atmosphere is nice. Our waiter was great, attentive, personable, and funny! I’d return again next time I’m in California.
It's my friend's favorite place, so we three went there...and it did not disappoint. The dishes were delicious for us all. One suggestion I'd make is to update the chocolate mousse dessert. They had added lotsa chocolate chips that required chewing feverishly, and the mousse wasn't cold . Instead, just add chocolate nibs that're of better quality.
Great food. Service was okay. We had to ask the waitress for ranch dressing three times and she forgot to bring my salad before the main course. Overall everything was good
I have always loved Lazy Dogs dinner and lunch options and recently discovered they do brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 2 pm! The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito and their DIY Mimosa Flight! The service was quick as usual and would definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good brunch!
Joined others for a lunch. Food was great. Dog friendly as they always bring a water bowl. Outside was sunny, umbrellas helped moderately and the weather was nice. As summer approaches it can be quite warm outside. Wish they could cover the patio better.
Had an awesome experience at Lazy Dog thanks to an amazing server Frank. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely great to talk to. The conversation made the meal even more enjoyable, and the food was delicious as always. You can really tell when someone cares about providing great service, and it shows here. Definitely made our visit memorable. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience with Trevor the Manager. Door Dash gave me a frustrating experience. I spoke to Trevor and he took over the situation, when it could have been easy to say Door Dash messed up and not them. He got a hold of Door Dash and took care of the issue. Great leadership!
Dined here the other day and had a great experience ! It was a quiet afternoon before the rain and our server was spot on! I love all the entrees on their menu! The food is delicious! I thought the gingerbread kit was a wonderful idea to support charity-buy one for $8 to support charities, folks. On top of that, my child was asking for one for Christmas and this fit perfectly into our plans. We had a lovely meal with our friends, were able to sit and relax, and even received our Christmas gifts early (gingerbread kit) So a million thanks to your server and staff for a positive experience!
Their GM Trevor was amazing. Took really good care of us. Fantastic food and service. They have a kids menu that has kids activities on it for the littles ones who can't sit still for too long.
First time eating here. I would definitely come back to this place again. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. The fries were extra crispy, with great flavor not soggy. The nuggets for kids were very good, very crunchy. I had the Baja burger, it had a small bite to it from the chili's but otherwise delicious. The staff was great, courteous, & friendly.
I always love stopping by Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar here in Thousand Oaks when I’m in the area. We had a Trunk or Treat event for the kids nearby, so we figured why not stop in? I ordered from the Build Your Own Lunch menu, which offers smaller, discounted portions of some of their regular items. With this special, you get to pick one entrée, one side, and either a salad or soup. The list of options is fairly short, but I ended up ordering the Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich with no tomato. It was decent not the best chicken salad I’ve ever had, but it was okay. For my side, I chose the apple cider vinegar coleslaw. I had a bit of an issue with that it was very bland and lacked flavor. The Build Your Own Lunch also includes a soup or salad, so I went with the Caesar salad since I love Caesar salad. The servers here are pretty attentive and check in often to see if you need anything, which I really appreciate. I don’t like having to sit and hope a server comes by again, like at some other places. The ambiance of the restaurant feels like a cozy cabin meets sports bar. The menu has a wide variety of options, so I have no doubt that anyone who visits will find something they like. I’d definitely recommend Lazy Dog to anyone looking for good American comfort food served in a warm, rustic setting. And just like the name suggests, Lazy Dog welcomes dogs, but only on the outdoor patio. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return. I love this place.
I had the fettuccine Alfredo with braised beef, and wow—absolutely incredible! This dish is actually a secret off-menu item, and I can confidently say it’s a 9.7/10. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful, and the braised beef just melted in my mouth. The portion was generous, the flavors were balanced, and it felt like a true chef’s special. If you want something beyond the regular menu, I highly recommend asking for this dish—you won’t be disappointed! Hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back for this again.
This is by far the best family dining experience I have had in years! Amazing customer service with Emily and Alex and super affordable prices for the portions. We came with all five of our children, and they had hand breaded chicken nuggets, and amazing fish and chips. My husband had the New York steak and it was as good as any high-end Steakhouse, and I had the homemade chicken pot pie, and I’ve never had anything like it! Definitely will be returning.
This was my first time at this establishment, and it will definitely not be my last! As a Canadian, I recognize friendly service, and this establishment absolutely had some of the best friendly service I was able to experience while in the Los Angeles area! On top of that, the food was really tasty, and the atmosphere feels really comfortable! I would highly recommend anyone thinking about coming here especially for supper to certainly consider it!
First time trying out the place, it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was good, ambiance was friendly and relaxing. Western style setting that took us back to cowboy days. They also have a bar if you're not looking to eat a meal there. Plenty of finger foods to choose from. I recommend Lazy Dog if you want to try a new place.
What a nice spacious place. Got the Cheese curds, Fried Deviled eggs, Cuban sandwich, Pineapple mojito, Smores brownie sundae & Apple huckleberry open face pie. Everything was delicious, especially the sauces & flavors in the deviled eggs & Cuban sandwich. The desserts were big enough to share and tasted great. It's a huge place write dozens of tables inside, and some outside. With wooden structures & a warm energy. It's located in a huge plaza with lots of parking. Staff was nice & prices are fair.
Food tasted great. Each item we ordered, whether it was seasoned fries or a burger or dessert, felt like it was given attention to detail and flavor. Entrees around $15 - $25 and the portion size and flavor justifies the price. You won't find yourself having to order more and more to get full. Service was a bit slow, but it was also very busy. The inside ambience is nice. The drinks were delicious and priced at about $9 or $10 a cocktail. Come during happy hour for reduced price on drinks and apps. Honestly don't have any criticisms other than the somewhat slow service. Would definitely come again.
The place is really family friendly and pet friendly as well. So your little friend could enjoy his stay as well. The prices are a bit high for some plates for the cost doesn't really compare to what you paid for in quantity but, in quality though is a big yes. The burgers look thick with two C's and the flavor is punching you right in the face. I 100% recommend coming here to try the food
Lazy Dog - T.O. is a solid bar & grill type restaurant with lots of room to spread out and plenty of seating both in and outdoors. The service is very personable and friendly from start to finish. The have a huge menu of drinks and eats including a lot of vegetarian and naturally gluten free entrees and options as well as some easily modify vegan friendly meals as well like the butternut squash + beetball spaghetti. The Sangria(s) are a win, the beer selection is solid and their full bar is impressive. The wait time is pretty short depending on party size, but they do offer seat yourself seating at around the bar as well.
Not many gluten free options for happy hour, but you can order off their limited gluten sensitive menu.
Very tasteful lunch I had in a while.. Bison meatloaf definitely it's gonna be something that I will come back for.. Sandwiches and hamburgers too, they are great!! Kids menu?? Of course!! They offer a very good and interesting way to combine food for your little ones.. I will give them 5 stars if they improve they servers quality.. Mi family felt like this guy was so dry in the way that how he welcome us... I will come back soon with high expectations..
Had to wait and reorder the Cajun fries because my server never brought them. All the food tasted great I recommend the Tex mex salad the Cajun fries and i love the butter cake one of my favorite dessert ever.
Reason for visiting: lunch on Saturday afternoon, after visiting the Rams popup stand Date/time of visit: Saturday afternoon, ~12:30 PM Parking: in the shared lot, free. Can take a while to find parking, while folks are leaving Party size: 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) Environment/ambience: pretty lively since the Rams popup thingamajig was going on. We sat outside with a few tables pushed together, under umbrellas. It was pretty busy. Service: was good. Seems like they were shorthanded but the service was still good. Food: I had the falt iron steak with onion rings and spinach. Also had the old fashioned with candied bacon. Both were pretty good. Cost: ~$300 for 8 (4 adults, 4 kids), includes tip
Lazy Dog is great! We come here often, and it’s always consistently good. The flavored edamame is one of our favorites—it’s so tasty. I had the Korean Bibimbap this time and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is great, and it’s very family friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
Love lazy dog. Always a go to for me as they have a wide variety of food on the menu. I have gotten so many things before and they are all delicious. I highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower and the deviled eggs. Not pictured but super delicious! The chicken pot pie, pot roast plate and sandwich, the burgers are also fantastic, again not pictured. What is pictured is the Thai chicken noodles. They have a zesty sauce and come with tofu and shrimp. Also pictured is the Mediterranean chicken bowl and it was very yummy and fresh! Update- ate here again for a Christmas dinner with friends. Everything was delicious per usual and some updated items on the menu! Got the ahi tuna appetizer, Cobb salad, and pot roast entree. My friends got the salmon and fish and pot roast sandwiches and a burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed! Also shared 2 desserts for the table- butter cake and s’mores brownie.
We randomly came across Lazy Dog Restaurant driving through Thousand Oaks on our way to Big Bear on the 4th of July weekend. We wanted to get some real food and a beer. We parked in the parking lot across the street which had a fair amount of available parking. We were able to get a seat right away. Service was quick and friendly. The menus are cool (leather wrapped). Tons of good food options. Good size meal. Pricing is very fair for the portion and quality. We wanted to try a new beer and tried the Huckleberry Haze IPA and it was amazing. We ever got a 4 pack to go (yes they even sell it canned)! This beer was SO good that we HAD to stop back while driving home from Joshua Tree for lunch and of course, more of the Huckleberry beer. They also have a lunch special, a half sandwich, and a salad and other side like fries for around $12.
We enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant. Our experience was pristine the entire time, with a unique vibe that always impresses us. For the appetizer, we had loaded potato hush puppies with a Tapatio crema. She paired these with a white peach sangria. I chose the Chicken Teriyaki bowl with vegetables and rice, while she ordered the Mediterranean chicken bowl from the new $15 Fireside favorites menu, featuring grilled lemon chicken, yellow rice, and Mediterranean sides. Her meal included a s’more brownie sundae. Our waiter, Daniel, was informative and friendly, always checking on our experience. Lazy Dog offers TV dinners with standout options: BBQ meatloaf with sides, four-cheese baked pasta, roasted turkey breast with gravy and stuffing, cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, fried chicken with gravy and spinach, lemon chicken with yellow rice, and chicken pot pie. Each meal comes with a unique dessert. We have been here many times and will keep returning.
Food is not really that great. For the price I would advise cooking at home. The staff was quite good--presnet and attentive. Their menu IMO could use a rework. Pretty bland and unremarkable food.
I refuse to give a restaurant 5 stars that has waits times, and yet half the restaurant isn't being utilized. This location is routinely this way. This is the second time in 2 months that we have had widespread power outages in our area, which means people can't cook at home, and restaurants will be slammed. Came here for dinner, 1 hour wait and again, half the restaurant isn't being used. Ridiculous. While people are lined up out the door and headed to Olive Garden. Good job letting money walk across the parking lot. If my 84yo mother hadn't chosen this place, I'd be having some pasta right now.
I got a lazy dog often I like to spend my money there with my friends. Tonight is November 24th and I just walked out a lazy dog because I have been sitting and waiting for a server for 10 minutes no one came so I informed the host and the host just sat down another couple they were greeted by the server within one minute and we had been sitting there for 10 so the people who just got their got served before us that is absolutely rude and outrageous
Called before the make sure we could watch sports on the patio. The umbrellas were completely blocking the TV’s and they said they would put them down. That never happened. The waitress had too many table which resulted in us being neglected. Had to ask the food runner for a refill on my iced tea after waiting 20 minutes. Food was average. Service was awful. We came here so we could have a nice time and had our dog on the patio. Rule for dogs, no aggression, and no barking. That was not the case when it came to other dogs on the patio. Not a restaurant I would return to.
Kacie was not attentive. Dropped the beer off wich took 20 minutes to get and dissapeared. She came back and introduced another waitress that was taking over and she never came either... This Lazy dog needs to step it up. It was super slow there is no excuses for not pre bussing or offering another beer. I wanted a Dessert and never got offered one.
Food was pretty good. Service was extra lousy. 20 minutes and a reminder to get a Bud Light. Ordered our meal, inquired about a dinner salad ordered 15 minutes prior. Server indicated she was sorry to hear that it took a minute more than we were prepared for. It was just a dinner salad, people! POOR SERVICE!
I just received my DoorDash order of lemon chicken. When I went to open my lemon sauce, there was a hair in it! I tried to reach out to lazy dog by telephone but after being on hold for eight or nine minutes, I decided that I would just leave a review. Unfortunately, this comes two weeks after visiting lazy dog in Thousand Oaks with a friend for lunch. That meal was not good. Did not include what it said it was going to have on it, and unfortunately, the waiter did not come to check on Our meal for at least 10 to 15 minutes. I did receive good customer service from the manager that was on duty that day, but having another negative experience does not make me want to continue to frequent this restaurant.
Was taking the whole family here once a month. I just cannot get over the fact that you add sugar to your buffalo sauce. We all love wings, but buffalo should not be sweet. Then we order the nuggets. I decide to just eat the nugget no buffalo. The nuggets are sweet; the batter coating! Why?! Kids need sugar in their nuggets? We love going here but I’m sick of it. Please change these recipes. I just want classic buffalo sauce (I’m sure everyone does) and chicken nuggets without sugar. As a former chef, it’s not slick it’s ignorant.
