I had a great experience with Trevor the Manager. Door Dash gave me a frustrating experience. I spoke to Trevor and he took over the situation, when it could have been easy to say Door Dash messed up and not them. He got a hold of Door Dash and took care of the issue. Great leadership!
Dined here the other day and had a great experience ! It was a quiet afternoon before the rain and our server was spot on! I love all the entrees on their menu! The food is delicious! I thought the gingerbread kit was a wonderful idea to support charity-buy one for $8 to support charities, folks. On top of that, my child was asking for one for Christmas and this fit perfectly into our plans. We had a lovely meal with our friends, were able to sit and relax, and even received our Christmas gifts early (gingerbread kit) So a million thanks to your server and staff for a positive experience!
Their GM Trevor was amazing. Took really good care of us. Fantastic food and service. They have a kids menu that has kids activities on it for the littles ones who can't sit still for too long.
First time eating here. I would definitely come back to this place again. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. The fries were extra crispy, with great flavor not soggy. The nuggets for kids were very good, very crunchy. I had the Baja burger, it had a small bite to it from the chili's but otherwise delicious. The staff was great, courteous, & friendly.
I always love stopping by Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar here in Thousand Oaks when I’m in the area. We had a Trunk or Treat event for the kids nearby, so we figured why not stop in? I ordered from the Build Your Own Lunch menu, which offers smaller, discounted portions of some of their regular items. With this special, you get to pick one entrée, one side, and either a salad or soup. The list of options is fairly short, but I ended up ordering the Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich with no tomato. It was decent not the best chicken salad I’ve ever had, but it was okay. For my side, I chose the apple cider vinegar coleslaw. I had a bit of an issue with that it was very bland and lacked flavor. The Build Your Own Lunch also includes a soup or salad, so I went with the Caesar salad since I love Caesar salad. The servers here are pretty attentive and check in often to see if you need anything, which I really appreciate. I don’t like having to sit and hope a server comes by again, like at some other places. The ambiance of the restaurant feels like a cozy cabin meets sports bar. The menu has a wide variety of options, so I have no doubt that anyone who visits will find something they like. I’d definitely recommend Lazy Dog to anyone looking for good American comfort food served in a warm, rustic setting. And just like the name suggests, Lazy Dog welcomes dogs, but only on the outdoor patio. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to return. I love this place.
I had the fettuccine Alfredo with braised beef, and wow—absolutely incredible! This dish is actually a secret off-menu item, and I can confidently say it’s a 9.7/10. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful, and the braised beef just melted in my mouth. The portion was generous, the flavors were balanced, and it felt like a true chef’s special. If you want something beyond the regular menu, I highly recommend asking for this dish—you won’t be disappointed! Hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back for this again.
This is by far the best family dining experience I have had in years! Amazing customer service with Emily and Alex and super affordable prices for the portions. We came with all five of our children, and they had hand breaded chicken nuggets, and amazing fish and chips. My husband had the New York steak and it was as good as any high-end Steakhouse, and I had the homemade chicken pot pie, and I’ve never had anything like it! Definitely will be returning.
This was my first time at this establishment, and it will definitely not be my last! As a Canadian, I recognize friendly service, and this establishment absolutely had some of the best friendly service I was able to experience while in the Los Angeles area! On top of that, the food was really tasty, and the atmosphere feels really comfortable! I would highly recommend anyone thinking about coming here especially for supper to certainly consider it!
First time trying out the place, it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was good, ambiance was friendly and relaxing. Western style setting that took us back to cowboy days. They also have a bar if you're not looking to eat a meal there. Plenty of finger foods to choose from. I recommend Lazy Dog if you want to try a new place.
What a nice spacious place. Got the Cheese curds, Fried Deviled eggs, Cuban sandwich, Pineapple mojito, Smores brownie sundae & Apple huckleberry open face pie. Everything was delicious, especially the sauces & flavors in the deviled eggs & Cuban sandwich. The desserts were big enough to share and tasted great. It's a huge place write dozens of tables inside, and some outside. With wooden structures & a warm energy. It's located in a huge plaza with lots of parking. Staff was nice & prices are fair.
Food tasted great. Each item we ordered, whether it was seasoned fries or a burger or dessert, felt like it was given attention to detail and flavor. Entrees around $15 - $25 and the portion size and flavor justifies the price. You won't find yourself having to order more and more to get full. Service was a bit slow, but it was also very busy. The inside ambience is nice. The drinks were delicious and priced at about $9 or $10 a cocktail. Come during happy hour for reduced price on drinks and apps. Honestly don't have any criticisms other than the somewhat slow service. Would definitely come again.
The place is really family friendly and pet friendly as well. So your little friend could enjoy his stay as well. The prices are a bit high for some plates for the cost doesn't really compare to what you paid for in quantity but, in quality though is a big yes. The burgers look thick with two C's and the flavor is punching you right in the face. I 100% recommend coming here to try the food
Love lazy dog. Always a go to for me as they have a wide variety of food on the menu. I have gotten so many things before and they are all delicious. I highly recommend the buffalo cauliflower and the deviled eggs. Not pictured but super delicious! The chicken pot pie, pot roast plate and sandwich, the burgers are also fantastic, again not pictured. What is pictured is the Thai chicken noodles. They have a zesty sauce and come with tofu and shrimp. Also pictured is the Mediterranean chicken bowl and it was very yummy and fresh! Update- ate here again for a Christmas dinner with friends. Everything was delicious per usual and some updated items on the menu! Got the ahi tuna appetizer, Cobb salad, and pot roast entree. My friends got the salmon and fish and pot roast sandwiches and a burger. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed! Also shared 2 desserts for the table- butter cake and s’mores brownie.
We randomly came across Lazy Dog Restaurant driving through Thousand Oaks on our way to Big Bear on the 4th of July weekend. We wanted to get some real food and a beer. We parked in the parking lot across the street which had a fair amount of available parking. We were able to get a seat right away. Service was quick and friendly. The menus are cool (leather wrapped). Tons of good food options. Good size meal. Pricing is very fair for the portion and quality. We wanted to try a new beer and tried the Huckleberry Haze IPA and it was amazing. We ever got a 4 pack to go (yes they even sell it canned)! This beer was SO good that we HAD to stop back while driving home from Joshua Tree for lunch and of course, more of the Huckleberry beer. They also have a lunch special, a half sandwich, and a salad and other side like fries for around $12.
We enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant. Our experience was pristine the entire time, with a unique vibe that always impresses us. For the appetizer, we had loaded potato hush puppies with a Tapatio crema. She paired these with a white peach sangria. I chose the Chicken Teriyaki bowl with vegetables and rice, while she ordered the Mediterranean chicken bowl from the new $15 Fireside favorites menu, featuring grilled lemon chicken, yellow rice, and Mediterranean sides. Her meal included a s’more brownie sundae. Our waiter, Daniel, was informative and friendly, always checking on our experience. Lazy Dog offers TV dinners with standout options: BBQ meatloaf with sides, four-cheese baked pasta, roasted turkey breast with gravy and stuffing, cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, fried chicken with gravy and spinach, lemon chicken with yellow rice, and chicken pot pie. Each meal comes with a unique dessert. We have been here many times and will keep returning.
Called before the make sure we could watch sports on the patio. The umbrellas were completely blocking the TV’s and they said they would put them down. That never happened. The waitress had too many table which resulted in us being neglected. Had to ask the food runner for a refill on my iced tea after waiting 20 minutes. Food was average. Service was awful. We came here so we could have a nice time and had our dog on the patio. Rule for dogs, no aggression, and no barking. That was not the case when it came to other dogs on the patio. Not a restaurant I would return to.
Was taking the whole family here once a month. I just cannot get over the fact that you add sugar to your buffalo sauce. We all love wings, but buffalo should not be sweet. Then we order the nuggets. I decide to just eat the nugget no buffalo. The nuggets are sweet; the batter coating! Why?! Kids need sugar in their nuggets? We love going here but I’m sick of it. Please change these recipes. I just want classic buffalo sauce (I’m sure everyone does) and chicken nuggets without sugar. As a former chef, it’s not slick it’s ignorant.
