We had 3 bad experiences from other Pizza places & then we hit the trifecta with Bonello's. Especially wen you walk in & the aroma of garlic is the #1 factor for an excellent introduction.

This place has been here since I was a kid, but I've only been to their San Pedro location. The pasta was amazing, the pizza was delicious and the garlic bread really hit the spot. My only issue is that some of the workers and most of the customers do not wear masks. All in all great customer service and delicious food!!

The "Cheers" of Pizza Parlors. Family Run. Children grow up in this pizza parlor with the authentic feel of the New York. Thin NY Style pizza. Ask for special types like Thicker Square Pizza etc. Dishes are excellent .... Also salads are great too. A place you feel.ay home and once a regular, you will undoubtedly run into others you know over time. Always a good time and great food! Thank you for bringing great pizza to SoCal.

First time here. A very family-friendly restaurant. Only four booths to eat in. Great pizza! The toppings are put on with a generous hand. Great sauce and crust. We got a whole push it can get pizza by the slice. Very friendly staff. Will come back!

A perfect neighborhood New York pizzaria. Outstanding food and friendly staff keep drawing me in for a great meal. They also deliver locally which is a plus for busy parents and others who choose this option. My personal favorite is the meatball sandwich which comes loaded with delectable meatballs, sauce and Mozzarella cheese, along with a House Salad. I ALWAYS order a slice or two of the pizza pie, with peperoni of course, while I am waiting for my meal. Again, this place is a neighborhood treasure and worth the trip to this area of west Torrance.

Bonello's is always EXCELLENT pizza. Been coming here for the better part of thirty years and it's always been a pleasure. The individual slices of New York style pizza are delicious, especially since they come from a whole pie and are baked again so you get that nice crispy bottom crust and melty cheese. The garlic bread is also delicious as they make their own spread, just be sure to ask to leave it in the oven a little bit longer than normal. Whole pies are also delicious, and they also deliver (just not the by the slice pizzas). Best pizza in the 16 states I've had pizza in!

A very nice thin crust NY Style pizza with great sauce. Excellent by the slice for eating in the small store. If you take it home I would suggest ten minutes in the oven at 400. This is one of those pizzas that tastes even better when reheated (That's why the pizza by the slice in the store tastes so good).Every now and then Paulie experiments so if you're feeling adventurous you can always ask if there are any pizza's that aren't on the menu. We've had some fun ones including a nice pesto laden one.

My kids go to Taekwondo in the same strip mall and we often find ourselves here afterwards for a slice. It’s a small neighborhood pizza place that is extremely friendly and the pizza is great. Large NY-style slices that always hit the spot. Highly recommend!

One of my all time favorite pizza places. Family owned and operated, consistently great pizza and fair prices. The best thing about Bonello's though is that they treat you like family, whether you are a regular, semi-regular, former regular turned occasional visitor due to a relocation (like me) or a newcomer, you will be greeted with a smiling face and a friendly conversation.

Arguably the best N.Y. style pizza in SoCal! I have yet to try a better N.Y. style pizza in the greater L.A. area. Let me know if you do. Been coming here since my middle school days late 90s early 00s (Lynn Leopards, ya know?) and I even had this for my wedding day lunch! Ask for a slice of cheese or pepperoni and it won't disappoint! I always get the garlic bread or salad combo #2 and #3, respectively. It's now 8 bucks for the combo. I remember back in middle school it was about 5 bucks I ate there for a month straight to try and get sick of it. I still go there whenever I'm in town...

The best pizza in the South Bay for NY style pizza. We also really enjoy the pasta and love the meatball subs. The meatballs are excellent. Great value for money for a family too.

My favorite local pizza place! Love the sauce, dough, overall great delicious pizza!!! Staff is always happy and friendly, just another bonus! This place is mainly takeout, I make sure and steal a slice on the way home!

THIS PIZZA IS THE BEST IN TORRANCE, BAR NONE. The sauce is just right, not to thick, not to acidy. The crust is thin but chewy. With just the right amount of cheese and toppings. It's not fancy; only counter and a few tables in a strip mall but don't judge a book by it's strip mall. Owned by a really nice family, whose family members all work in the store so they make sure their pies and other food is done right, every time. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I ordered two cheese pizza slices and a drink for lunch. Everyone at Bonello's was friendly, and the prices are great. The crust was thin and flavorful. The cheese and tomato sauce were well portioned. I enjoyed it and recommend for a New York style pizza.

I was but a youngin’ when I first came to this place, and the pizza is just as delicious as it was back then. Although Bonello’s may look unassuming from the outside, I would liken it to a geode— a hidden, sparkling gem that never fails to satisfy your hunger cravings! Naturally, I visited here today with my good comrade, whom I met on the battlefield. I would gladly bleed out in this restaurant, taking my final breath in such a place of comfort and nostalgia. But I’ve still got some years in me yet… so that won’t happen for a while! Anyway, I’m off to visit my uncle’s grave today. I’m sure he would have been as happy as a clam to know that I visited good old Bonello’s. He loved this place. I scorn the universe every day for ripping him away from our family… a cruel twist of fate indeed.

Great New York style pizza at a reason price. $3.50 for a decent slice of pepperoni is a great deal in my book. Extra toppings after that are 50¢ The staff are also great. Will definitely be coming back here for all my future pizza cravings.

The best pizza by the slice non franchise restaurant. I've been going there since the the early 90's it has been owned and run by the same family the whole time. Wish I could come here more often.

Better than ma's baked spaghetti (says the wife) and the kids and I just loved the supreme ,not skimpy on ingredients either. Staff was very busy keeping everything clean and took the time to also be friendly and welcoming to us.

The only reason I give this 4/5 is because I prefer thin crust. That said, where else are you going to find authentic NYC pizza? And their pizza is DELECTABLE!!!! So yes, I know I'm being petty, but I was raised in NYC, and we're very picky about our slices... The service was outstanding, and the vibe and layout of the place made me feel like I was back in my beloved NYC. ❤️

I enjoyed the most delicious eggplant parm sandwich this afternoon. It was not fried, just baked. The marinara sauce was awesome, felt like I was back in NYC. Psyched to go back again next time I am back in the area.

Bonello’s Pizza Shop is hands down one of our favorite spots! From the moment you walk in, everyone is so welcoming and genuinely kind. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do.

I go to the Bonellos in Torrance. It’s our go to place for solid pizza. Family run, service is outstanding. We like our bottom crust firm and a bit crispy. Toppings are plentiful and quality. Prices are right on. Better than so many other places.

Was driving home and had an urge for a pizza and saw that this place sold slices, it look cool and it was priced even better but when I started eating it I was amazed on how utterly delicious it was so I would definitely be going back!!

Best pizza I've had outside of the big apple itself. Very nice staff with familiar faces and welcoming attitudes. Never an issue with them. The only down sides are no bathroom and its closed too often. Otherwise, this is a great place for a slice. I recommend the usual cheese and pepperoni. Basic, but so good!

What can I say? Bonello's is a Torrance classic. My alternative to when I'm not feeling any of the other big brand pizza spots. No, it's not the greatest pizza place ever - it's a humble spot that checks off every good aspect of a New York style pizza joint, in California.

Great, tasty pizza, crispy, warm garlic bread, and friendly service. The only reason for the four stars is the salad. It just wasn't good. Lettuce, and only a few thin slices of tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, and a ton of cheese. The lettuce was obviously the lettuce they use for sandwiches, as it was shredded. So no go on the salad. But will be back for the pizza and garlic bread.

In the quest to find a good NY style pizza place in the South Bay we decided to try this spot. Curbside Service was prompt and quick. They took our order over the phone and were informative on the pizza sizes and such. The dough was good. Cheese and herbs seasoning were good. It wasn’t stretchy or stringy but it hd a good flavor. Tomato sauce was good as well. Not a lot of flop. Not 100% NY style but I’d order it again. It was good and had a good flavor and texture.

The menu on the board was hard to see and no other menus were available so I didn’t know what they had other than pizza but heard another customer order antipasto. I asked for one slice of mushroom and one of plain. I received four slices which explains the price. The crust was NOT like NY pizza at all. Instead, it was doughy and buttery like a buttered roll. The rest however, was pretty close to NY pizza but not quite. They would NOT provide parmesan to go so I had to use the common one container for everyone before I took my take out order. No idea about drinks as I couldn’t see the fountain. Atmosphere is blasé. Overall it was good but not great nor authentic NY pizza.

The pizza is good but not of the same quality and portions as Valentino’s in Manhattan Beach. The crust is bland but the cheese is tasty. If I was close by I might return but definitely not worth a special trip.

Bonellos was always my family’s favorite pizza restaurant to order from for years but lately the pizza just isn’t as good as it use to be. The sauce lost its flavor. I noticed the toppings have gotten skimpier. I happened to be craving pizza one day when Bonellos was closed. I took a chance on another pizza restaurant that’s been in the South Bay for years. I’m glad I took the chance. This pizza was off the charts. I hope Bonellos steps up their game because they were the best pizza in town.

Good pizza. I’m a little biased being from NY but it’s solid. Just hard for me to give a place 4 or 5 stars unless they’re really really good. But for California pizza this place is a safe bet. I’d recommend ordering more well done but that’s a personal preference

I read all the great reviews and I thought I was in for a treat.... Should of listened to the 1 bad review. There is no New York in the pizza, there was no flavor and it was kind of doughy. You'd be better off with a Di gorno.
