Wild Tulum

Beautiful restaurant with some amazing food choices. Pretty much everything we ordered with the exception of the fish was delicious. Service was very nice and the food presentation was flawless. Keep in mind that it's a pretty pricey restaurant but if you want to spoil yourselves this is the place to do it.

We hosted our wedding reception at Wild after visiting earlier in the year. I can tell you that the restaurant is to die for. Wild is the perfect name that the vibe deserves, and the food is Michelin worthy. The dishes are as beautiful as they are tasty and we remember every single bite. Don't get me started on the cocktails.. they are all creative, balanced and the presentation is gorgeous. Working with Karen and the Wild team was so seamless, making our wedding planning stress-free. Karen welcomed us with our favourite cocktails on arrival and the energy that the team gave throughout the night was everything. We are already planning to come back at our earliest possibility to relive the memories and re-taste the food. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!! <3

Bianca was our server - she is amazing! Her recommendations were on point The food was delicious and flavourful. Had the focaccia bread, blue masa tetelas, ravioli and the catch of the day in holy leaf - the ravioli was the best and catch of the day in holy leaf a close second. The focaccia bread was warm and perfect to eat the ravioli sauce with For dessert had the coconut and pineapple as I don't like overly sweet - it was a good balance of textures and flavors - sweet and citrusy. Bianca recommended this dessert over the chocolate for the summer weather and not to overwhelm the food we had before - and she was absolutely right!

Started 2025 with a gastro-bang with an absolutely superb meal here. Mercifully located a bit further down the beach road away from the hubbub, it's as beautiful inside as what appears on the plate, which is an impeccably-sourced, inventive take on Mexican cuisine. Personal highlights were the extremely large prawns with chorizo, sweetcorn ravioli and coconut pud, though it was all hard to fault. Drinks are no less creative; there's an extensive cocktail selection and, being a vinophile, I really enjoyed the wine list, which celebrates Mexico with a thoughtful focus (although other countries are featured too). As you may anticipate, staff are all well-versed and suitably lovely. One of Tulum's best restaurants without question; it's an easy recommendation.

My husband and I had our welcome cocktail at WILD and couldn't have imagined a better way to welcome all of our wedding guests to Tulum. The food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, the service was spectacular, and the ambience was perfect. As animal lovers, we especially appreciated that WILD has local animals it takes care of and provides safe spaces for. That extra touch made this incredible space even more magical. Leading up the event, the owner was so flexible, communicative, and friendly. She really brought our day together in the best way possible. We can't wait to be back soon!

We came here twice, one time we shared the tasting menu. Our favourites were the octopus and the aguachile. You are in the hotel zone so expect a high price, but food is very fresh, and beautifully presented, looks like art. Only comment is be aware the ravioli on the tasting menu is literally… a single piece of ravioli. Very good flavours, restaurant is very cozy and nicely designed. Great cocktails and mocktails as well. I would definitely come again but cannot afford to every night!!! :)

This was a great cocktail and cuisine experience!! The setting in the jungle adds to the overall experience as did the friendliness and interactions with our server Milton and the hostess. The cocktails were fresh and beautiful and each dish we ordered was a unique piece of art that tasted as good as it looked. We had a fun time and will definitely be back the next we visit Tulum!

This entire experience was completely WILD. Agustin was our waiter and he was so attentive to us! The staff and atmosphere is absolute perfection, the food was incredibly delicious, and overall the price was decent. Cocktails are beautifully crafted! Their 9 course tasting menu is delicious. Perfect for a one person meal. There are two parking spots on site but they are usually taken. About 3 minutes north of the restaurant there is a parking lot that is 200 pesos. Definitely go here!!!

One of the best food experiences ever. We had Crispy Avocado and Ravioli. Ravioli is a must have!!! The dishes looked as beautiful as they tasted. Will definitely visit again in future. Also the service was amazing and super warm.

We opted for the tasting menu and left with no regrets. Staff were welcoming, attentive and personable but professional. Thoroughly enjoyed all of the courses, the main dishes (pork belly and sea bass) were both tasty. All of the paired flavours and textures worked magically and both desserts were absolute highlights. Octopus was a little chewy but flavours were great and it didnt let down the experience. All paired with a nice fresh, dry rose and finished off with a couple of cocktails. Well worth it.

Gorgeous location and excellent food. Octopus was deliciously tender but quite spicy, mole was perfect. Scampis were juicy in a beautiful sauce. It was a delight! Things are pricey, you have to keep in mind. Thats how it is in Tulum:)

Don’t you dare skip out on this restaurant. Best meal of the trip (by farrrrr). Seriously everything we ate was a 10/10 and the service was second to none. The mushroom ravioli was my favorite. Sea bass was a very close second. It was on the pricier side for the area but the quality of food, presentation and atmosphere totally justified it. It was pouring rain when we pulled up to this restaurant and I was so nervous because it’s outdoor seating. Honestly turned out lovely, the atmosphere was beautiful dining in the rain and we left dry, totally sated and happy. Will be back!

We had an exceptional dinner at Wild tonight and we can’t stop talking about it! The presentation was immaculate and the flavors were unique with a twist. Our server Bianca was wonderful and so knowledgeable about each dish! We will remember this dinner in Tulum for years to come.

My fiancée and I came here to celebrate our engagement. The restaurant was recommended by the local photographer that we used for the photos and we loved it! The vibe of the spot was great, very romantic and classy. The food was also excellent. I highly recommend this spot if you want to have a romantic dinner and enjoy amazing food!

Oh my gosh, if you want an amazing culinary experience while you are in tulum look no further! The tasting menu at Wild is out of this world!! We also had my bonus daughters wedding there and they knocked it out of the park - ambiance, food, drinks, service, everything was 5 star! Highly recommend!!

I hesitate to write this review for fear it becomes too popular, but I can’t keep quiet about how lovely the food is! We stayed a week in Tulum and went back three times. Unlike the other restaurants on the strip, this one has a lovely quiet ambiance with soft music so you can have an actual conversation. The tables are nestled back away from the road and it all feels very private and cozy with gentle lighting. The food is delicious- creative and local. So many flavour combinations we’ve never seen before- my favourites were the crispy avocado and the truffle ravioli (served like a creamy, buttery, frothy soup, so amazing!). I’m normally not a cocktail person as I find them too sweet, but the cocktails here were amazing- the Circo Loco is a stand out. For dessert we tried the granita and ganache- both delicious . Most importantly, the service was impeccable. Gudy and Maria were our servers and they explained all the dishes and ingredients to us so we could make an informed decision. They struck just the right balance of being available but not too in your face. Overall, we highly recommend this place and will go back the next time we’re in Tulum…

Outstanding food in South Tulum. It’s worth a trip down the beach. Definitely book ahead to confirm a reservation. Staff were attentive and the presentation was breathtaking.

What an amazing experience! Best meal we’ve had in Tulum and one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Overall very unique experience in a very beautiful setting. Food was delicious, it incorporated traditional Mexican ingredients with a modern twist. The cocktails were also amazing. The service is top notch, super friendly and fun. It’s a must visit place in Tulum.

We stumbled upon this place and it was a great surprise - delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. The servings were quite small, so you might need two entrees if you're hungry - but so yummy!

Great food with some delicious vegetarian options that don’t just feel like an afterthought. We shared 5 plates between the two of us, 1 Mocktail, some Water. Bill came out to be Around 250USD and we were still a but hungry. So while it’s delicious, it’s also expensive. I’d still give it 5 stars, even though I think it could be a bit more food, especially for this price.

Wild feels like a secret hidden gem.. The al fresco jungle dining, beautifully plated dishes, fanatic drinks and such lovely staff, the overall experience was like old style Tulum but elevated. A really lovely experience, will definitely return to try the 9 course tasting menu.

We been in all Michelin gourmet restaurants near and from all of them WILD was a tasting menu mind blowing experience (strongly suggest to take a tasting cause some of the meals are quite heavy to have a plate, but all of them are changed my understanding of modern mexican cuisine) . As second choice can suggest NU Tulum and would say Arca is overpriced and overbooked because of the location. Small distance till Wild from more occupied location where Arca located is worth it to go!!!

I visited Wild with friends and it’s an unmissable experience! Since the entrance you feel very welcomed by the hostess. For dinne we chose a la carte options (ravioli, oyters, shrimp ceviche, porkbelly and more). All the dishes are very tasty with a beautifull presentation!! I’ll defo come back!!!

Wild was without a doubt the highlight of our trip. The setting is beautiful, the lighting perfect, and the atmosphere intimate and magical. The real star, though, is the food. Wow. We had the tasting menu and it completely blew us away. The ravioli was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted, so good I went back the next day just to order it again as a main. Absolutely out of this world. If you’re considering Wild, go, you won’t be disappointed. The cocktails are inventive, beautifully made, and delicious too.

I love this venue WILD - we’ve been visiting Tulum each year. We got to meet the owner Karen on our recent trip. She has the dining experience as an event in itself. The atmosphere is lush, the food is so creative and the cocktails - we had a few lol! Put this venue in your go-to. See you next year, it was great to meet you and hear your story and a huge congratulations for the two consecutive years receiving the Michelin award! All the best, Kristy & Nate

My partner and I did the tasting menu at Wild and the whole experience was absolutely incredible. The ambiance of the restaurant is undeniably beautiful and unique first off, you’re eating in the jungle. The service was wonderful, and the food was fantastic. They were very accommodating of food allergies as well. Some of our favorites included the tuna tostada and the quesadillas. Would recommend for a unique date night.

This was the best meal we had while in the Tulum area. It's pricey, but worth it. Each dish was perfectly seasoned and prepared, beautifully plated, and more importantly, delicious. The cocktails were excellent. Service was outstanding. Some reviews complain about the portions, but we did the tasting menu and by the end of the meal we were both pleasantly full. Easy parking. I think this place deserves its Michelin nod based on my single meal experience; however, would be interested to try it again next time to see if the consistency is there.

Michelin guide acknowledgment is great but this place deserves the recognition of an actual star - or multiple - I’d easily travel a distance to visit WILD, again. The food was exactly what you expect from a Michelin Star restaurant; unique, creative, divine. The ambience was delicate & sophisticated - maintaining the genuine energy of ancient Mayan jungle. We were partnered for the evening with a wonderful gentleman named Sebastian who was not just knowledgeable about the menu but who was incredibly well spoken and had excellent taste & suggestions. Some of the best and most creative food in Tulum. Truly amazing service and they have items on the menu for everyone. They really care and take the time to explain each dish which is always a nice touch. The duck confit tetelas were the highlight. Close second was the Tuna Tostada. The chocolate brown butter rocks dessert was also great.Overall, great meal and will be coming again!

WILD was one of the rare pearls of my trip in Mexico which I could only recommend. A true multisensory experience. From the moment you walk in — copal smoke, lush jungle, candle lights all over. As the name suggests, the atmosphere is of a wild elegance and intrigue. Beautiful architecture, great bar. We started with cocktails whiche were on another level! we tried the Hayati and No Mames (I won't spoil the surprise but try the second one ;) You can feel they are carefully crafted and simply delicious! Same as the food which was honestly one of the most unique culinary experience of my life. The tuna avocado tostadas was a treat for both the eyes and the mouth. And the RAVIOLI wa th corn cream.. Wow!! It is just unforgettable, sooo yummy, delicate and rich at the same time, easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life and I'm a travel foodie! Can't wait to try it again :) The chocolate dessert crowned the night with an explosion of flavours, fresh, colorful and deep. Simply art. Service was very good, kind and attentive. they were having a busy night and we were informed that we had to be a little patient which was perfectly fine in such a nice setting, and music was great. Be prepared that it is the jungle and there are mosquitoes, but they had repellent spray and was fine. I don't usually write reviews while traveling but I feel that WILD really deserves to be shared. An experience not to miss in Tulum!!

Wild is a beautiful location, romantic & in the jungle with great ambiance The food was spectacular, so many flavours, beautiful touches & decoration. It seems a lot of love & effort has been put into the menu We had the octopus, ravioli (which is to die for), the salmon aguachile (which melts in your mouth) The staff were really accommodating & friendly, we will definitely go back!

Excellent food and service. I had the 9 course tasting menu and it was the best choice because I got to try most dishes on the menu. The staff was great, they explained every dish with a lot of detail which made it more interesting. Finally the drinks were a hit, Hayate which is like a spicy margarita was super tasty and refreshing. If you come to Tulum Wild is must!

We really enjoyed our time here. The ambiance is incredibly relaxing and I especially loved that they offer shawls for guests in case it gets chilly. We happened to be there during a cold front, and that small touch made the whole experience feel extra welcoming and comfortable. We ordered quite a few dishes, and there were several standouts. The flautas were unforgettable and something I’ll genuinely be thinking about for a long time. The ceviche, tartare, and chicharrón were also excellent and showcased creativity and attention to detail. The ravioli had a really interesting flavor profile, I loved the truffle and foam elements, though it was served lukewarm, which took away from it slightly in my opinion. In general, the menu is very inventive and ambitious, and while that creativity is exciting, a few of the dishes felt like they had a bit too many components that didn’t always fully come together. That said, the overall experience was lovely. The atmosphere, thoughtful service, and standout dishes made it a place we’d definitely recommend, especially for those who appreciate creative, modern cuisine.

Cool vibe to the place! Food was super inventive and creative. We were very interested in what was going to come out next. Got the pork belly, ceviche, blue fin tostadas, and the ravioli. All were very good, the blue fin tostadas were our favorite. Think my favorite part of the meal was just the vibes and the cocktails. Service was really good and staff was friendly. Bring bug spray if you can!

We recently dined at wild resturant and were disappointed with the service. The hostess appeared preoccupied and inattentive upon our arrival. While Marcelo assisted politely with alcohol orders, neither he nor our waiter followed up effectively—soft drinks were forgotten, appetizers arrived after mains (which had sat for 20 minutes in the kitchen), reflecting poor timing and professionalism. The food quality was excellent, yet this falls short of Michelin standards.��

I came here to let people know that the portions at this restaurant are tiny. Like each item you see on their menu should be considered a single tapas item. When I looked at the menu when our crew made the reservation I thought the items were full meals. It is very delicious food and the service and ambience were great but be warned! I spent $60 CDN for one thing of octopus and my table got two bottles of water that we split between four people. My friends got wine and their bills were closer to $250 cdn

We really liked the food and the ambiance. Also the service was satisfactory/nice, although it did not stand out. What I did not like and what I consider a reason not to recommend wild, is that they charged 20 percent for service without even asking or giving the opportunity to adapt the gratuity. We had a small up to regular amount of food (6 smaller dishes) and 4 glasses of wine and ended up with a bill of 255 EUR. I would consider this at least 50-90 EUR too much, comparing this to (quite high) restaurant prices in European metropolitans.

Honest Review: The overall presentation of the food was great, and the vibe of the place had a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. Our server was sweet—attentive and friendly—but the hostess left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation, there being no line and many empty tables, we were made to wait, which felt unnecessary. A significant downside was the seating situation; the tables were placed on gravel, which made them unstable and uncomfortable. As for the food, unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations! The steak was served cold, the octopus was both bland and overly spicy, and while the beet salad was fine, it didn’t stand out. The chocolate dessert, however, was a huge letdown—it didn’t resemble chocolate at all. The portion sizes were incredibly small, which made the meal feel even less worth the price. With two main dishes and one side dish totaling around $400 CAD ($4500 MXN), it didn’t feel worth the price. The atmosphere was relaxing, but overall, the food and experience didn’t justify the cost.

We stayed at Nomade resort across from Wild and this was such an easy option for our first nights dinner in Tulum. It’s an outdoor restaurant like every other restaurant in Tulum with that same “Tulum” vibe. Looks quite nice. We had no reservation but it was slow so no issue getting in. The waitress was nice and she went over the menu and it all looked good. We started with a bottle of water and a delicious cocktail see pix. We ordered the ceviche as an appetizer that was good and grilled octopus and catch of the day for main. I’m a pescatarian so love fish and was craving the catch of the day. When we got our food I seriously was so incredibly disappointed!! It came on small plate well presented with some green mush with a teeny tiny bit of fish inside, see pix. I’m all about fine dinning but seriously this was a joke. There was barely any fish inside and for that price point I’m seriously excepting more. The bill came to C$260 including a “mandatory” 18% tip for just ok food. I understand that Tulum is not cheap but what they currently are charging for food is just ridiculous, and all that mandatory tipping BS is all becoming just a scam!

Service was very slow and we got absolutely butchered by mosquitoes. Food was creative, but actually not that great. Our ravioli was drowned in a sweet foam which was very different but we didn't like it. The ceviche had mango in it and it was very creamy but again it was sweet! I prefer a more conventional ceviche. The octopus was good, but we had way better octopus the night before at a different place that was actually much cheaper too.
