Excellent food and service! Unique food options, huge servings, extensive beer menu all made this a very enjoyable dining experience. We would absolutely return!

Not as good as I remembered it to be. We were disappointed to not see the Mac and Cheese Burger on the menu. It is a nice atmosphere but we miss Kara, the best bartender in the Hudson Valley 😉

One of the best pubs in the area. Great beer selection and the food has always been fantastic. I would suggest the wings, fried chicken sandwich, and any burger on the menu.

More than I expected from a little pub. The drink specials were creative and tasty. The service was quick even though they were busy and our waitress was very sweet, attentive and friendly.

I grew up in Wappingers (not the town where this Main Street restaurant is but about 3 miles away) and I've watched the evolution of Main Street through the 70s, 80s, etc up to today. I can positively, without hesitation, call County Fare a perfect addition to the rejuvenation of Main Street. Several restaurants have attempted to succeed in this space, but County Fare seems to me to be the one that is going to stick. First of all, the space, atmosphere, decor and vibe are a perfect fit with the community from my perspective. Not haughty, not trying to hard to be hip, not pretentious, not coldly modern, rather, the place is inviting, relaxing, tastefully designed with an emphasis a bit towards the rustic or, let's call it the 'blue collar' side - interesting, but not divey. The immediate thing that will hit you on entering is the absolute, completely genuine, down to earth friendliness of the staff, who, on the several occasions I went were teenagers or early 20-somethings. The unmistakable sign of good, passionate and engaged management is who they hire. With such young staff, there is always a risk, but whoever is doing the hiring has a keen eye for young people who seem to just naturally understand how to treat a customer, how to engage respectfully and warmly, how to be attentive but not intrusive, and how to talk about the menu with knowledge. So straight off the bat, that's 5 stars right there. Now, the food. This is American country comfort food.. burgers, etc, done extremely well, with attention to detail, care for presentation, an interesting assortment of sides, and little nods to the unusual which are subtle but not overpowering, preserving the traditions of the basic dishes while giving you a little kick in the dopamine department. Beers, cocktails, etc are either sourced locally, designed specifically for the vibe of the place and the season or are intelligently curated from the very strong current movement towards bespoke or small brewers, distillers, etc. But they also have the basics, so there is pretty much something for everyone here. One of my fail safe tests of any restaurant of this nature (I think 'gastropub', although a UK term, adequately categorizes it) is to see if the chef actually knows how to cook a burger Medium Rare. It is extraordinarily difficult in the U.S. to find a chef who really knows his grill and knows his meat and can hit the bullseye on Medium Rare. If I have doubts, I order Medium, knowing that I'll probably get somewhere between Medium Rare and Medium. I specifically asked the waitress if she thought the chef could do an actual Medium Rare burger (meaning, it should be charred on the outside and then progress nicely to a pink center) and she said "Well, he's a CIA grad and I'm pretty sure he knows his stuff". Good enough for me and she proved to be correct. Burger was exquisite and actually Medium Rare. That goes A LONG way in my book. Second to that is whether or not a place like this has malt vinegar for french fries. If they do not, I begin to seriously doubt the head chef or whoever is designing the menu knows what they are doing. Sure enough, at my request, the waitress gave me a friendly look that said "DUH...coming right up!". So, flying colors on that test also. There is absolutely NOTHING off or worthy of criticism at County Fare. It fits in the neighborhood, it is staffed perfectly, the food, though simple, is awesome, the boozy department is well curated and interesting and, particularly on a snowy Hudson Valley evening, its design is warm, cozy and soulful. County Fare is on the top of my list for every visit up from Queens to take my Mom or friends out. And you can pop next door and get yerself a tattoo!

Just visiting from Florida and my family checked Happy Cow for a mutual place to eat since my husband is vegan. The atmosphere was chill, the staff were cool, and the food was great.

I've been here about a dozen times now. Ryan is fantastic, great beer selection, and the food has yet to disappoint. Standard pub fare with a few great expectations such as poutine and delicious fried brussel sprouts.

My co-workers and I went to County Fare this weekend and the food was sooo good! I got the Mac&Cheese with pulled pork and I was so surprised at how good it was! Other places I’ve been to have been hit or miss with their Mac&Cheese but County Fares was so good! I recommend.

This is a fantastic place to get a bite to eat, whether you're a small group or have a larger party they always take care of you. The food always looks and tastes great and arrives quickly. Have one of their fantastic local brews on tap to top it all off. County Fare has never disappointed, and looking forward to many more trips.

Love county fare. I have been there about five times and I’m always greeted right when I enter and seated immediately. Wait staff is always extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. In fact, all staff members are so friendly and actually seem like they enjoy working there which says a lot about the management/ owners. Food is great, I eat low carb and they always make subs for me with no issues. Reasonably priced as well.

The more I come here, the more I love it. The beer selection is really good. And the menu offers a variety of pub options as well as roast chicken and other items that are a little more sophisticated. Also, what's more impressive to me (especially for the Hudson Valley) are the vegan and vegetarian options (including a vegan Ruben). A must try if you're in the area.

First time at County Fare - it’s everything you want in a great neighborhood pub. Great food and drink, a friendly crowd and excellent service. Fish and Chips with a Beer and Mac & Cheese (with pulled pork) with a Blueberry Vodka Lemonade. Will definitely be back!!!

My daughter and I had just finished a 7 1/2 mile hike and we wanted good food and good beer and we got it!! The beer selection was awesome and so was the food and the people. We wish we had a place like this in our neighborhood we even got a sweatshirt and tee-shirt can't wait to go back

Went for valentines day, split the poutine appetizer which we amazing. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans and it was the best I've had in a while. He had the fish and chips and was impressed as well. Wait staff was sweet and prompt. Will be back for sure!

Easily a new favorite that caters to all crowds. The cuisine is on point, atmosphere is well set, and the beverage program is perfectly thought out. A quick bite and a craft beer or just a cocktail really sets county fare into a great standard. This place is a hit.

Great place to stop in for a quick drink or to grab something to eat. The bartender is very knowledgeable about the beers and menu. We enjoyed talking to her, I'm so bad with names but she works Monday and Thursday night behind the bar.

Actually really loved it, I came here by myself and sat on the patio, had the house fig bourbon old fashioned and it’s amazing and so tasty; had to cut myself off. Also had the steak and frites and it comes with what looks like house made chimichurri which was well done (not the temperature obviously), don’t even need the fancy shaped plates. I go to a lot places , rarely leave reviews but felt like it cuz this place is great, everything here is cute and friendly, and I got away with a few puff of my vape pen haha! Cheers! Worth checking out! Also, they are playing some groovy jam band music 💗💖 great vibes, thanks !!!! Going check out the creamery next door since I saved myself from a third old fashioned lol!

The atmosphere is typical of most sports type bars. The Reuban sandwich was delicious, great French fries too! Nice selection of beer for those who like beer. Our waiter/bartender was great!

The staff I interacted with were very nice. I had the county fare tots and they were extremely good. I also got the bacon ranch cheddar chicken sandwich which was also very good. The portion size was generous for the price it seemed to me.

Tonight I ordered the Chicken BaconCheddarRanch sandwich through a food delivery service (Seamless). The driver did their job (and was tipped accordingly), and the Chef did theirs! A great bar/grill combo location! The staff is very friendly and the food is extremely good. It's the perfect menu of food if you also want to drink, but even without drinks the food is amazing. The appetizers are large and we had trouble eating or entrees after finishing them! But it really isn't an issue. It's a very nice place to sit back, chill and eat!

First time here. Great experience. Good vegan alternatives to burgers. Large sandwich size and portions. Bartender was super nice and helpful. We ate inside bit there's an extended patio outside that I'm sure is busy in the evenings. There's a parking lot around the back and it's convenient to the restaurant. Can't wait till go back as there's so many things to try. Highly recommended.

This was a great lunch spot! Easy to get to in down town Wappingers right near the falls. Ample street parking. The only thing open on a Monday and a steady stream of patrons enjoying the food. I recommend the Rachel and fries!

Decided to beat the snow and enjoy a night out before the snow lockdown. Perfect vibe, beer list was very good and the food was so good. Kids loved their burger, fingers and pulled pork. My wife and I loved our Sweet Orr and BLT salad. Glad we had room after the 5 star apps, Wings, brussels and bang bang shrimp. The fries were a universal home run. Just a tray of those would work with a beer. Definitely be back. One small quirk, the ladies working could not get the channels changed so our night of food and sport didn’t pan out.

Nice cozy place for a date night with the wife. Our waitress was very attentive and always knew when we ran out of drinks. The food was delicious and came surprisingly quick, maybe do to the fact that it was a monday night and not really busy. My wife got a chicken pot pie and it came out in no more than 5 minutes which was shocking. All the food was good. The ribs, wings, potato skins, mac n cheese, beans all were tasty. The ribs were very good and not dry at all. The drinks were on point as well. Perfect little date spot in a nice area.

County Fare offers some very good food at good prices with exceptional service and a great atmosphere. It also offers outdoor dining which is nice for the summer time. For starters we had the County Fare Tots (Fare Style) and they were very delicious. The tater tots were fresh and the chili had a perfect balance of spice. We also had the Fare Pierogis and they were also very good. I think the addition of caramelized onions made a sweet and savory bite all at once. For the main course I had a Brisket sandwich (shown below) and was very satisfied with it. It also had a good balance between the slaw and BBQ sauce it wasn’t too much and wasn’t too little. I also tried a bit of a cheeseburger and the meat blend is packed with flavor and the patty itself was surprisingly very juicy even though it was cooked medium. The fries that are served here are also very good and the seasoning was spot on perfect. Overall the meal was very good and I would return. The service was also good. Our waiter Lindsay went above and beyond and checked on us often even though there was a small lunch rush while we were there. The ratings speak for themselves. Lastly I was a bit disappointed to see that the website menu and the menu i was given were totally different. I originally came here to try a burger that was recommended to me but was disappointed to see that the menu isn’t really close to what you can actually order there. For me there weren’t too many choices which i didn’t like but at the end everything was great.

I sat in the back outside area during daylight hours and it was such a really cute experience because I was there enjoying the few and you'll still get really good lighting of your food and also there's like little mints growing and I think it was so cute and the waitresses so cute to thank you and also one more thing across the street from this place there's a boutique and it is awesome check it out just cross the street it's right there you can't miss it, go buy something. One of my favorite places to go for a burger and fries. However, this time the burger was not the same. It had no taste. Usually the burger is full of charcoal flavor. Really good food and location, right in the heart of the town of Wappingers (right next door to Graceland Tattoo Parlor). Good selection of craft beers, as well as a nice variety of dishes. Only down side, chicken pot pie could've been a bit bigger and/or come with a side.

Very friendly staff and a nice place. My wife loved her French dip. She loved that it was on garlic bread. I had the fried fish sandwich. The fish was basically flavorless. The fries were OK. I will definitely try a burger or something next time. All in all it was a good experience and will be going back.

Best Reuben sandwich I’ve had and what a selection of drafts to wash it down with, along with really good fries and a quality pickle. Had brown mustard with the Reuben; highly recommended. Only regret is I wish I noted down the sour (style, not taste) beer tonight, which had a touch of a fruity flavor. Would love to have that one again if its again on the beer menu which I think they rotate alternatives thru on some basis. Get off Rt. 9 and visit a nice little downtown and and place with ambiance, local flavor and good food & refreshments!

We've eaten here a few times over the last few years and was satisfied with good burgers. However, we recently ordered 2 varieties of wings to take out. I will say that they were terrible. Neither had any flavor associated to it's label. Plus, they were at the cusp of undercooked. Disappointed for sure.

Service and atmosphere great! Friendly and timely! I ordered take out this time, unfortunately the quality of the food was not there. I don’t recommend anyone to order take out with fries as a side always comes out soggy. I was very unsatisfied with the cheesesteak I ordered, the bread overall didn’t taste well and fell apart on me, I couldn’t bare to take a second bite. (Normally bread would be toasted, definitely wasn’t the case here) I’ve had better tasting cheesesteak sandwiches from jersey mikes “giant size” for the same price and definitely more quantity! I also ordered a wrap as well that unfortunately didn't taste well either. Had to figure out dinner else where. It’s a shame because I love supporting local businesses as always, and this was a place where I had a great experience tasting their burgers, tots, wings as well as their drinks!

The burger was atrocious..the meat was not fresh, and I'm paying the price today, also dry and overcooked on a stale bun. Cauliflower was just cooked cauliflower drowned in Frank's hot sauce. Poutine was criminal, bad fries, hardly any curd cheese, and a dark overly reduced gravy...the service was very nice,but the food was just so bad. My friend had the chili, said it tasted as if from a can...just disappointed because there are some pretty great places to eat around there..just wish this was one of them..and a suggestion..maybe offer a single patty burger?..I may try again in a few months..sometimes things change. I hope so.

The food LOOKS amazing but lacks so much seasoning. Kitchen could definitely benefit from a little finishing salt when plating. Steak was cooked perfectly but I found myself reaching for the table salt & pepper just to finish my meal. Mac and cheese was deceiving super cheesy but had no flavor as well. Fries were great but can you really go wrong with French fries?

Partner went to pick up food and the waitress just dropped the bag on his table without saying a word to him. We were still hoping the food would at least be good, and it mostly was, until we realized the bread pudding we ordered was moldy. With how much we paid, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Well thats 💯 percent true now! Our bill for 3 of us just under 100.00. I had 2 craft beers my husband had a bottle of coors and my teenage son had sprite with hamburger with fries. My husband and i had the burger and fries each as well. 2 undercooked hambugers later and we waited while our party finished thier meal. I said i need a box. It was too late to eat it at This point. NO APOLOGY OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Came back to our airbnb to reheat and it was more uncooked and Red then when we sent it back!! Out of towners BEWARE!

I will never ever eat at this establishment again!!!! We ordered this wings and they are all pink/red!!!! None were cooked in the entire batch!!!! Staff member claimed they are cooked for an hour and no way they could be uncooked. The customer is always right but not here! Didn’t offer a sorry or a refund, disgusting! You will NEVER get our business again!!! I will be calling the department of health! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Waited a long time for meals. Received apologies but when food was finally delivered, several of us still had to wait and part of the order was not delivered at the same time to one of us. Because waitress was not at fault we still.planned to give her fair tip for her service. We needed change of a $50 bill, but was handed $50 singles. Gave singjes back. Had to give her a smaller tip, Will not be going back and will not recommend to friends.

After looking forward to try this restaurant for about a year now, my husband and I finally got a free night to go there this weekend. We were incredibly disappointed. I ordered my burger medium, and it was completely raw in the middle. I never send food back to the kitchen, but it was so raw I was worried about cross contamination/food poisoning. I told the waitress and she took it back, apologetic, stating the kitchen would make a new one. They did not, but instead re-cooked the burger, so when it was served again it had about a half inch of burned crust on the bottom. I ate what I could by picking around the burned parts. My husband tried the fried chicken, which tasted like it was cooked in burnt cooking oil, and his macaroni and cheese lacked flavor. When we received the bill, we were disappointed to find that there was nothing "taken off of" our total for the mishap with my meal. Though we love to support small local businesses, we will not be returning to County Fare.

I had a friend in town from Florida and heard really good things about this place. When we walked in around 9:30 both bartenders just stared at us without saying anything. I said we were just drinking not eating, waitress said with an attitude that " good, the kitchen closed at 10 anyways". When she took our order she was very snotty and ended up getting our order wrong. Just 5 drinks... the whole vibe was just awful for the rest of the time. The cosmo that was made was terrible Just overall bad experience with the bartenders/waitresses. Couldn't even tell you what her name was because she didn't tell us

Have eaten here a number of times. Food and service eas good. Decided to do take out on evening. Ordered a Rachel, got a Reuben. Also ordered a "fake" BLT wrap with vegan options. I got very sick from food. I am not sure if they gave me the vegan option. I called the next day to speak with manager/owner. I was told he was not in, and I left a message to have someone call me back. No one did. I was extremely disappointed, not going back. Afraid of getting sick again.

Not worth. Was really excited to try a new restaurant since I'm still getting used to the area. Played it safe and ordered the chicken tenders. The chicken tasted like it was reheated and was lacking in flavor. Fries were also soggy and lacking flavor, prefer fries from Wendy's over them. This place used to be great, the food is now bland and lacking salt and the portions are smaller. Clearly they've been cutting corners on cost and I've heard the kitchen has rats/mice. It's a shadow of its former self

It has been some time since we last ate here and we were looking forward to eating here again. We were the only table/customers in the dining area. One of the people in our party kept staring at a corner and then proceeded to share that they saw a mouse. The mouse ran across the dining area and went under the benches and was seen again moving about. A few minutes later my daughter saw a mouse running around the same area and then it went into the kitchen. I did not want to make an issue in front of the couple that was finishing their meal so I did call after we left to inform them of the multiple sightings. The woman who answered was pleasant and appreciative of us letting her know and she shared she would let the owner know. My only other issue was the fried chicken w/Mac and cheese. Two people in our party ordered this meal and both left their chicken uneaten due to the chicken smelling like fish. Both stated it didn’t taste like fish but the smell was a bit much for them to continue eating.

Great little spot for craft beers and great burgers. Always check out the burger of the week! Update:07 21 20 Pre pandemic - this was a great place to go to and always looked forward to the burgers here. Now - We have tried take out and it's never been the same. The burgers are 2 out of 2 for not being cooked as requested. The perogoies were always a good app. They use to pan sear them. Only 1 was cooked properly. The burgers use to just fall apart in your mouth. now it looks like the one fresh beef patty has been replaced w/2 semingly frozen thin patties...you can tell by the texture and shape and still can't be cooked as requested. My family and I really looked forward to this place and have to say as it once was a favorite it's now off the list.
