Wonderful experience, the service was top-notch. The server, Stevie was so friendly and professional. Our server Jamie was so attentive, friendly and a pleasure. The food was delicious and the overall vibe was great.
We had a very large Christmas party of about 75 guests there Friday night and I can’t say enough about how great the service and food was! The drink girl (blonde, don’t know her name) was ON TOP OF IT! And the food….. I thought no way was the food gonna be hot serving this many people. It was all hot and the filet mignon melted in your mouth.even the brownie was warm! Everyone commented about how great everything was! Great job Zen Bistro! 5 stars
I went there for a wine tasting dinner. It was a 5 course dinner, Salad, appetizer, a great lamb dish, steak and desert, served with different Camus wines. The wine alone was worth the $125 per person. Great food great wine and great surroundings.
We recently held my daughter's rehearsal dinner at Zin Bistro. Thanks to the incredible service provided by Blake (by the lake), our evening truly kicked off a couple of days of wedding activities with laughter and joy. He quickly saw what he was in for and joined in making this night so much fun. He took care of our group of 19 ensuring everyone had a great time and just blended in. Blake not only ensured everyone had a great time, the service was phenomenal. Never an empty glass. When I asked for a recommendation between two dishes, he said I'll surprise you. He nailed it. To the owners we met, thank you again and Blake is an incredible asset.

Great lakeside experience. Its a great place to have a special time out with people you love! Try the tableside bananas foster, bottomless mimosa brunch and the seabass is delicious! There's something for everybody. The wait staff is friendly and professional. I loved how everyone cares about making sure you are having a good time. And there's live music Friday and Saturday! Truly a gem and you friends, family or love will be impressed you brought them!
Always a treat to come here. Food is great, ambiance is superb. They have super nice staff, great drinks, and unparalleled lake view and live music some nights. A MUST for a date night during sunset. Get the risotto! Happy hour risotto and drinks are cheap (see photo). Highly recommend.
This is hands down one of my favorite spots anywhere—not just for the lively atmosphere and beautiful lake view, but because of the incredible people who make it so special. I’ve rarely seen a team work so seamlessly to deliver a consistently high-quality experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, dining with a large group, or just grabbing a casual dinner at the bar, the food is always great and the service is truly top notch. Huge shout-out to Andrew, Chris, Nick, Willie, Manny, and Rickki—they bring their A-game every time I return. Don’t miss the live music Thursday through Sunday—you never know who might show up!
Hosted our event here with 25 people, everyone was very happy with food and service. Views of the lake were amazing. Overall great experience , definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out for themselves as well as anyone who wants their guests treated to a 5 star experience.
Held a company event here and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The venue offered the perfect blend of professionalism and warmth, with thoughtful layout and attentive staff who anticipated our needs. The food was truly stellar - beautifully presented, diverse options that accommodated all dietary preferences, and flavors that had our team raving for days afterward. The atmosphere struck just the right balance for productive discussions while still feeling special enough for celebration. Would highly recommend for any corporate function and will definitely be booking again for our next event.
Had a very romantic Valentine’s Day/night dinner at Zin Bistro. It was so beautiful and the food was great. My bf got the tomahawk which he enjoyed and I got the ahi tuna. It was delicious! The manager and staff were very kind and there was a live DJ playing music which definitely added to the romantic vibe. We will be coming here more often for date nights and im excited to come enjoy lunches here to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake on a sunny day.
recently dined at Zin restaurant , and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile. The menu offered a fantastic variety of American classics with a creative twist. The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained the restaurant was, which added to the overall positive experience. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good food.
Beautiful location! Beautiful scenery! Service was spectacular! We were on a short getaway and found this place by happenstance on Groupon, otherwise we never would have left Calabasas to find it! The steak was spectacular! And the surf and turf burrito was wonderful (We substituted scallops for shrimp)! Was a nice quiet place to have late brunch where we could actually hear each other, take in the scenery, and get some fresh air! Our server was very attentive, kind, and professional. Definitely recommend!

Amazing views!! The good was great as was the staff and the ambiance. We had the baked brie, red snapper ceviche & the salmon salad. Everything was absolutely delicious.
WOW! This place is amazing. The food, drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert and service are all amazing. If you get a seat outside the entire experience is well worth the drive. I had the corn soup and sub sandwich, wife had salmon salad, and for an appetizer we had the artichoke. The trio sorbet was outstanding. Good ADA access along with super clean restroom. Must try!
Really fun, and good food. Went on a Friday night and it was way too crowded. Fantastic views of the lake, especially at night. There's only 2 complaints, parking was horrific and there's 5 ft for dancing with the live band.
The restaurant is a very nice place to eat right by the lake, so if you’re seated near the windows or outside, you’ll have a great view while you eat. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food is good, but not extraordinary by any means. My daughter and I got the filet mignon. She typically gets her steaks medium, but it came out much redder than she’s used to. I got mine medium rare, it too was redder than I was expecting. The taste was good, but rather basic. My youngest daughter got a pepperoni pizza that also had nothing noteworthy to it. We got an appetizer that had filet bites and pineapple. That was probably the best thing we got that night, other than possibly the lobster Mac and cheese. The food is definitely enjoyable, but the atmosphere and friendly service are the bigger draws for this restaurant. I would eat here again.
Love this restaurant overall, though a bit on the pricey side for what u get. But the reason for my lower rating is the $70 tomahawk. The price itself fine IF it is quality meat. We ordered a tomahawk and over 50% was all fat and grizzle. We were very disappointed and the rest was very very chewy. Seasoning was good though and presentation was great. That said the other entrees and especially the appetizers were delicious. Though the creme brulee was cold and clearly premade
The only good aspect of this restaurant was the ambiance and atmosphere; the service was utterly terrible. You order a bottle and do not receive proper bottle service. Food takes an unacceptable amount of time to arrive, and we waited 30 minutes just for a knife. My husband and I had to share one knife for about half an hour. The service was unacceptable, and I will definitely choose to go elsewhere.
The food was absolutely terrible. The lobster on my salad was tasteless and actually it tasted canned. The salad dressing was terrible. It was blue cheese. It was lumpy and not good. My friend had a tomahawk steak which was just mediocre. However,, her mashed potatoes arrived cold . We were very surprised we were the only customers seated outside and there was only one other customer inside.. Given this lack of patronage, the service was terrible . Maybe this is because the food is not up to par. I do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever.
