This is the first location of the Cowboy Chicken chain that served great rotisserie bird that I recall from the 1980s and '90s. The owner was an employee of that chain but has launched his own now that the other is out of business. He serves the familiar, moist chicken that spends the day over a wood fire. His other specialty is tomalies with a choice of chicken, beef, or pork. They are really tasty, but if you want some, get there before the evening rush; they don't last until closing. Better yet is to call and place an order for the next day. He'll cook them at home and have them waiting. He can only handle a few dozen orders, so there's a chance you'll have to wait another day. Far from the ubiquitous fast-food stops, nearly everything about Western Chicken is custommade and as good as that implies. The little shop is made for takeout, so don't expect to get your atmosphere fix here. However, it's quaint that the exterior of the store is a log wall, so take that and your food. You'll be back.

When people come from out of town, these chicken enchiladas are what I feed them. They are the best I've ever had, and I love ebeverythi about this place. The beans and potatoes are also the best I've had.

Originally I had this rated much higher for the food. But last night I had an amazingly difficult experience with this restaurant. They had no driver to deliver my food, but prepared it and let it sit around for nearly an hour before someone came to deliver it. Two calls later, still no food. Had to call and cancel order because I am sure the food was inedible by the time it arrived--if it ever did. Man at store did not even know what vehicle his driver was in (?).

I thought it was decent but my girl was NOT messing with it. Mac n cheese wasnt good either.

Got delivery. Food presentation was poor. Chicken salad Sandwich in saran wrap, with the sides. Chicken salad was bad because there was a large piece of cartilage in the middle. I have no idea how you can miss that big a piece. Ruined the meal.

This is a tiny unkempt place with extremely poor service. My husband asked for a meal and the guy told him that it would take too long to make so no. My husband asked about other dishes and the guy said that he wouldn't like it. The place is not clean. The quality of the food was among the worst I have come across. The location of the place made me feel uneasy, like I was going to be approached by a homeless person asking for money or worse. Be on guard and have an iron stomach if you decide on eating here.

He offered money from his pocket and said the rest was for a fee and wouldn't give me All of my money back. I will never do business here again.
