A top after tot wong/kung fu place with the kid. Kid digs the salmon sashimi. Bento box and beer for dad. Great service and good patrons all around.

My boyfriend and I took the wrong bus and we stopped in for an early dinner. We got their 2 item bento with salmon teriyaki and a California roll. We also got the shrimp tempura. Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious. I would definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Found Bento Peak by pure luck! Was super hungry n wanted Japanese so decided to pop in. Place was almost empty so I thought oh oh. To my surprise the food was great! What a find, now I am a regular! Bento Box is great value but I recommend exploring. Menu is huge

Neighborhood favorite for sushi since it was called Bento Peak. This place has the best prices for sushi in the area with really great specialty rolls. Hot food like chicken teriyaki also delicious. Sashimi is always quality.

This place is great! We love that this is a new addition to our neighborhood. The menu has all our Japanese favorites. The sushi and rolls are delicious. It is also beautifully decorated inside.

I ordered a three piece bento box and told the lady that I was not going to eat the chicken. It was for my little dog and she was kind enough to not put any sauce on that part of the meat. Everything else was amazing everything in there smelled great. My order was to go, but it was packaged so thoughtfully, and there was plenty of everything and great value. I will definitely be going back and sitting down to eat too.

We went with a picky eater who only orders the same thing. I love to try new things and ordered a few to with the table. Based on the response, the picky eater wanted to give it a try and ended up eating most of the new rolls. EVERYTHING was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Got the bento box with salmon teriyaki and tuna rolls. Also got the katsu don. All items were very delicious and tasted very authentic to food in Japan. The restaurant was cute and quaint inside. Will definitely return!

We went with a picky eater who only orders the same thing. I love to try new things and ordered a few to with the table. Based on the response, the picky eater wanted to give it a try and ended up eating most of the new rolls. EVERYTHING was excellent. We will definitely be back.

4 stars for service because I picked up but they had my order of 3 rolls ready in 15 minutes. 1 star for the food because it was the saltiest sushi I’ve ever had in my life, I couldn’t even finish it. Even with the salt aside, it was very bland & lack luster. I got the XYZ roll, lobster crunch, & the only one that was good was the Dream Girl roll.

Cross posting from Yelp because it was that bad: Served me rancid chu-toro, I vomitted. Fish was easily a week old. They shouldn't be in business and are padding their reviews. I'm not from the Bay Area however if you're ever in San Diego I recommend sushi Ota. It's a decent place, and would never serve rotting fish to a customer. How did I know it was a week old? Overpowering fishy taste, in no way reminiscent of the actual flavor of tuna. Color was off for chu-toro. Fishy smell, again not reminiscent of tuna. To the restaurant: shame on you, you shouldn't be in business. There is no excuse to serve spoiled food.

Very disappointed! Japanese food is my favorite. I came based on the reviews I read here. Not sure where the disconnect is I have had Age Dashi tofu many times and this is the first time I had it that it was not good. Very boring. I also ordered all veg tempura no broccoli or eggplant. I get my box and it has 3 pieces of broccoli. They take it back and give me only sweet potato - no other vegetables. Really - no carrot, no onion, no mushroom, no green bean. The menu says vegetable tempura not you only get broccoli and sweet potato. I like sw potato tempura, but the real problem is that it was very greasy and soggy with very little batter. The salad was very good -the best part. I definitely would NOT reccomend this restaurant and will not go back! I feel like I wasted my money that I could have used to get much better food just a few blocks away on California st.
