A seriously fun place to go on a busy friday or saturday night. it can get pretty packed so be prepared. Afternoons on the weekends aren't bad and they have free barbeque and pool on Sundays. There used to be an amazing array of graffiti tags all over the bar (especially the bathrooms while had essentially morphed into jackson pollock paintings) but uptight neighbors clamped down on the that. The bar is forced to buff all the graffiti now. Always like to swing by for a few when i am visiting in the city
Always great service and great prices and great cocktails. Also love the mobile point of sale system. I wish more bars around the mission had a mobile pos system.
I'am always Treated with Open Arms and Total Respect Especially from the Management and Beautiful Women ❤️🙏😎
Had a great time! They could of used a bar back being so busy on a Thursday night.
Great spot 2 grab a drink epically on Mondays where they have stand up comedy night, the comics are great with a range of humor would definitely recommend 2 a friend
Loved the place since the first time I walked in. They have awesome beers, a pool table, and a dance room in the back that plays some pretty awesome jams.
Great place to grab drink and watch some sports. Bartenders are cool and laid back. Can bring outside food.
An old Dive bar by nature. Brilliant staff and never a bad time unless yer in chinos and white shirt. My Go-To bar!!
I knew one person that works there from a few years back and was told by one of the bartenders to check it out. So I stopped by. Its a cozy and lively bar.
Cheap drinks, good DJs and a fun back dance room. Can get packed but that's the price you pay for a good bar in this city.
Great bang for the buck cocktails! They actually offer happy hour! Good people
Black Magic Specialist in California, United States. My affection Issues were settled by him. Thanks a lot for your Guidance.
Navajo Fry bread and a decent outdoor space, plus reasonable drink prices make this a great place for co workers and I to go after work, or really anytime.
Fun staff, great jukebox selection, and a nice pool table, $2 a game. Great dive bar hangout.
really fun place with $3 beers each time I went there but the pool table is challenging to get on
Regarding the previous review, these gentlemen were cussing the bartender out over the music because she wouldn’t add extra liquor to their drink. The bartender asked security to remove them and they were extremely upset because they didn’t finish their drinks. There was zero racist remarks. She didn’t react besides laughing and grabbing security. They complained about the drink prices and she even showed them an itemized receipt. Crazy to write such a dramatic review when at fault.
The bartenders are always personable, with quick service, and drinks that are made properly to your order. It's a small pub/bar style location, tucked away in the mission district within walking distance of several nearby restaurants. And if there is an after party anywhere in the city, you're sure to hear about it from some pretty little thing sitting at a table somewhere in here. 👌
We wandered into this bar, because of the vibe and music, and it was drawing a crowd. Energetic dive bar with a dance floor in the back. Everyone there was just having a good time and wanted to meet new people, great mix. The bartenders were really funny and poured shots like they meant it. The thing I most appreciated as a girl: Just after last call, we mentioned to the staff this one guy was getting a little creepy and wouldn't take a hint, they asked him to leave, made sure we were okay, then had someone walk us to our Uber outside.
Always a great time to be had. The bartenders are all very nice and the customers are friendly. Good times.
Cheap beer, pool table, Ms Pacman, pinball. What more could you ask for? Oh, a tiny dance floor and good tunes? Yep, they have that, too. Fun place. Although they get a little testy around 1:30 when they start to close. It would be nice if they'd announce Last Call rather than throwing their weight around and yelling at everyone. That has a bit of a buzz kill effect.
Music on the dance floor was obnoxiously loud but the drinks were relatively cheap compared to elsewhere. They did charge a $5 cover for New Year's Eve.
Had a very good night on Saturday with a group of 10 + celebrating a bday. Drinking and Dancing. Got crowded after 11:30
Cozy little dive bar, dedicated regulars, nice outdoor seating with excellent people-watching, tasty reasonably priced drinks.
What a fun bar!!! I don't think I'm quite as hip as their normal clientele, but no one batted an eye at my normalcy! Drinks are very very reasonable here! Moscow mule was only $10!!! The bar tender was a very cool lady! I definitely recommend stopping here!
Great place for drink and a dance. 90's hip hop DJ the night I was there. Also, a nice pool table for those interested in that sort of thing. Amazing bartendress and delicious libations. A San Francisco tradition and must visit.
Named after the condition one experiences after a night of heavy drinking, regularly. It's a San Francisco icon and perhaps the most affordable dive bar in all of the Bay area. Their specials make drinking regularly, affordable. Haha. For example, when we were there the beginning of May 2022, the daily special was a can of Tecate and a shot of well liquor for $8! There is not one bar in all of the Bay area that comes close to offering something similar for the price. One of the best things about the place is it's proximity to killer food from multiple restaurants just a couple minutes in every direction. The juke box plays every kind of music imaginable from every era you can think of, all within a couple hours. No joke.
Been here a bunch of times, if ur looking for a good time this is a good place, lots of "extra" in the area for a good night out.
Depends on the night, the crowd can be cool or the same old people. Drinks are cheap. Cool neighborhood.
It was my first time here, I bought a drink at last call and then they told everyone they had to leave. I just bought the drink because I thought I was going to hang around until 2. I would not have bought the drink if I knew I was going to have to chug an ipa.
Too crowded on weekends. Don't like the crowd. Drinks are very strong and can get you tipsy quickly.
Great location & decent service BUT more than a few times on separate occasions the bartenders skips songs which include Stevie wonder, Elton John ..etc…some classics that people seemed to like and vibe to… don’t have a music box if you don’t respect it.
This place feels exclusively for locals. Cozy vibe on the inside, but my guest felt out of place after being glanced over for service for 15 minutes. (After we left, we had far better luck at other Mission haunts, like Doc’s and Casanova.)
This place is small and their beer selection isn't stellar. They were playing good music when I went, with the music videos on one of the screens which is nice. Why were the remaining 5 or so screens playing SVU instead of the music videos? Beats me
Muted MNF to play music for 3 regulars is crazy when the rest of us where there to drink and watch the game.
Yo really ? A 10 dollars cover to basically listen to a radio station ? The DJ on 5 may , AKA cinco de mayo was playing the same stuff I could have played in my car on the way here on the stations. What kind of dancing music is brocoli & mask off? Come on son. The Bartenders are nice even though there's like 2 on a freaking Friday. It's dirty and grungy, Only reason this place was packed was because the lines at other places where long as never. Never coming here again , G.A.R.B.A.G.E
The rude bartender tried to rip me off $10 of change when I paid with a $20. Don't come here. Friday 9/4 shaggy dark hair. Never coming back.
This place used to be way better 😪 😔 😕. I think the pandemic really hurt business so they renamed it and I hope they change it soon because I paid 11 dollars for a paper straw and the chance to yell over the jukebox.
Someone on staff stole my girlfriend’s credit card info last night. It was a literally brand new card so it must have been here. She closed her tab at 1am and then at 4am someone spent hundreds of dollars on Amazon. She was served by Angelo but it could have been someone else. I would avoid this place or pay cash if you must go.
We walked in and asked for a drink. The bartender was intoxicated and began calling us names for wanting a specific drink. Due to her rude behavior, we decided to not leave a tip. She showed up a few minutes later and made a scene about the tip and eventually wrote an $8 tip for herself which is straight up theft. Furthermore, she showed up again and snatched our drinks telling us to leave. The bar’s security asked us what was going on, we told him all about it, he apologized for her rude derogatory behavior. At that point we decided to leave. Do yourself a favor and never go here, I have never been subject to such inconsiderate behavior ever at any bar.
The bartender was rude so didn't leave a tip, the bartender walked up and gave herself a tip on our receipt. After no more interaction she took then drinks back. She stole our money.
Bartender would not show me the breakdown of my bill or provide me any kind of receipt. When I kept asking him for it, he became very upset. Walked out feeling like the service took advantage of us, which left a bad taste in my mouth. With all of the bars in that area, will definitely not be coming back. I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you end up there, spend little money or purchase each drink individually
bar tender gave my credit card to someone else last night. Had to cancel my credit card 2 days before Xmas. can't even use the words to describe how upset I am.
I dropped in because it's just around the corner from my house. I knew no one I was alone. The staff is very good. Now I'm learning The clientele is good as well, friendly. I'll go back. Not many youngsters. Want fun, drop lin.
Used to be the Albion which was a great dive bar. Now, the bartenders are full of holier than...wouldn't even give a star if I didn't have to.
The bar tender was a hipster prick who not only misunderstood our order but then proceeded to be a total dick about it. If you want to be treated poorly regardless of how nice you try to be this is the place for you. As a bonus the tiny restroom stinks of stale urine, is covered in graffiti which might be an attempt to be "edgy", but really is reminiscent of the dirty underside of a bridge or a dark spillway where you might find used needles and a dead body or two. I reflexively though "this is one of the last places I would want to die in", after entering the men's room.
